Hey, so, Tourists, I'm a local and ima give you the heads up.
San Juan is pretty huge. This hotel claiming San Juan is banking on you not deep diving, but this is FAR from the beach, my neighborhood, while getting better in the heart of Rio Piedras, has some SHADY spots, especially at night. This street, while having a few popular College spots, is in a rough area.
If you want a more gratifying stay, head further to the coast, I promise it's a safer experience.
Further, be VERY careful if you DO book here, as, for some reason that can't possibly be legal, the hotel covered the Public sidewalk in front with tiles. Slippery when wet, but you won't see a single sign about it. The ramp up is also tile, and pretty steep, so any other ADA folks maybe steer clear? They HAVE a little rug, but it's not wheelchair wide, or safe, I find, as a disabled man myself.
Edit: Just noticed it's a 1 Star rated hotel, so I was even being generous with my 3 stars. I'm going to drop it.
