A beautiful vacation with my boyfriend at Dreams in Los Cabos. Beautiful resort, very clean and well kept. Amazing staff, especially Mercedes and Alejandra at the preferred beach club. Would definitely recommend upgrading to the preferred club status, top shelf liquor and high quality rooms with breathtaking views. They were very attentive and friendly. Live music every night before we went out to dinner overlooking the beach. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at Dreams! The staff truly made the experience unforgettable — everyone was kind, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. A special shoutout to our waiter, Humberto at Portofino, who was absolutely excellent. He was friendly, attentive, and made every meal feel special. From the service to the food and overall atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at this resort was a complete disappointment. Active construction next to the kids pool kicked up concrete dust daily which is not safe to breathe, especially for children. On top of that, burning chemical fumes filled our room during our toddler’s nap, and no one warned us. Restaurants were extremely slow. We regularly waited 10+ minutes for water and over an hour for food. Staff acted like basic requests were a burden. These delays also caused long wait times just to be seated. Our entire party was served undercooked meat at Seaside Grill. At Bordeaux, my husband ordered the same dish twice and got completely different sauces each time. Room service once sent me a burger with literally only half a full patty. There’s nowhere reliable to feed a toddler between 11 AM and 12 PM. Room service and Seaside Grill dont start until noon and take an hour. World Cafe doesn’t open until 1 and even when it is open, they are always out of food making your options very limited. Barefoot Grill is in full sun with limited options, and Coco Cafe refuses to make most of what’s on their own menu. I tried to order a sandwich and she told me they didn’t have any of the ingredients. When I asked when they would have them, she said they don’t offer that even though it’s on their menu. Our toddler went without lunch more than once. The bars constantly changed ingredients without telling us. We were served drinks that tasted awful and didn’t match what we ordered. No explanation, just substitutions without consent. Shower water swung from scalding to freezing with no warning which makes showering a toddler very challenging. And to top it all off, even though we booked a 7 night UVC week, our reservation was only booked for 6 and we had to pay for another night to stay until our original departure date. We honestly don’t understand how this resort has positive reviews. We will never return, and we’re telling friends and family to avoid it too.

Heading to the airport and the departure couldn’t come fast enough. Stayed at this resort for 5 nights with my two children 7 and 10. I’ll start off with the positive aspects of the stay but largely focus on why we won’t ever be visiting this resort again. Positive: Sergio in World Cafe needs a promotion. He truly understands how to authentically connect with guests (especially families with children) and make them feel special. If it wasn’t for Sergio, this review would be 1 star. Sergio is an outstanding person and the resort staff should recognize that he is literally making up for all the negative experiences with his friendly and positive demeanor. Negative: Staff in this hotel seem very bothered by the guests and also seem under appreciated by management. Preferred Club : total scam. We have visited several other Dreams resorts and this experience really made us rethink our membership. They tell you that have been upgraded - don’t believe them. Keep your original room - the upgrade is a total downgrade. The walls of this resort are super thin and you will hear the entire conversations, screaming, yelling, babies crying all night long through the walls. It doesn’t matter which room you are in - don’t plan on sleeping OR bring some strong noise cancelling earbuds. Restaurants: two nights we waited over 1.5 hours for our food. There are limited choices of restaurants compared to other dreams resorts and you will just have to wait. You barely have snacks in the room and the preferred club has a small array of cheese and deli meat if you are starving (but that’s it). Beach or pool chairs: good luck getting chairs if you come after 8 am. I tipped someone from pool concierge really generously and he took an umbrella from another family (who hadn’t been at their chairs but reserved them) and gave it to us. Tipped Generously up front is the only way to get any type of semi-decent service. Otherwise, forget it, they won’t even look at you. Room service: our room wasn’t cleaned for two days. We had someone knock on our door at 9:30 pm to clean the room (kids were asleep) so we declined. Something is going on with the management at this hotel and how they are running their operations. We ended up leaving for dinner or lunch 2-3 days as staying in the resort was getting unbearable. Hopefully this helps anyone planning on staying here at the resort.

We just got back from a 6 day stay at Dreams and had an amazing time. The resort is well kept, food is good, and the location is breathtaking. The pool entertainment, water exercises, and nightly shows were some of our favorites. Outdoor movies at night kept the kids entertained and allowed us adults some time to lay and watch the stars. Our son got stung by a bee while sliding into the kids pool and the staff member working at the slide that day (I couldn't get his name) was very attentive and directed us to the doctor on site. The doctor was quick to assess, knowledgeable and helped reassure us on next steps. It was my son's first time being stung by a bee - we were unsure if he was allergic but thankfully everything worked out and we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay.

The resort is very nice and they are currently doing upgrades. Staff are genuinely nice besides one incident, the "lead server" at the "fancy French restaurant" asked me to change into shoes instead of sandals which I did (my room was at the end of the resort). Came back down after respecting this rule, a couple walked pass me and the lady was wearing flip flop. I inquired why's that was allowed but not my sandals. The "lead server" told me it was because I am a gentlemen. Okay I understood. While I was having dinner, just enjoying my time, here were a couple at the table in front of me and the gentlemen was wearing flip-flop. This was the most embarrassing, and disrespectful experience at a "luxury resort". The F&B Dir told me that lead server "didn't see that gentlemen" wearing flip-flop. I wonder if it's because that gentlemen was a taller/bigger build guy and I'm not as intimidating so it was easy to enact a rule on me. Ridiculous and discriminatory. ||I do want to send praises and great job to Julia & Alan at the concierge. Omar & Luis for making everything better. Issac for acknowledging this incident. ||Very shameful for the GM - Florian nor the AGM Ruiz once reach out to send a sincere apology. It's an all-inclusive resort, they sent a bottle of champagne (which you can get all day) ... "how creative" to service recovery an issue ~

Beautiful place and amazing view from our room. It did feel a bit humid but I guess that's to be expected. The food was ok, I think it can be better but to be fair we didn't explore all the restaurants. My absolute favorite was the staff. Super attentive and friendly. Shout out to Enrique in charge of the pool entertainment. Had a blast doing the water aerobics and his recommendation on the beach in La Paz, made our trip even more amazing! Gracias, Enrique!!!

Booked preferred club junior suite ocean view, did NOT receive what we booked. Immediately as we were checking in they said, “we’re giving you an upgrade.” Sounded great until we actually saw the room… Room was at the far corner of the resort, NOT preferred club, staring at the resort next door and with a dog below us with dog poop everywhere, not the ocean view we wanted. We called down right away asking to change our room and that we did not want this “upgrade.” Their response was, “oh sorry, we’re completely booked out and cannot accommodate any room changes.” Basically they gave our room that we reserved away to someone else that probably asked for an upgrade and tipped them well. The photos attached are directly from our room and the hallway right outside our room, do better Dreams Los Cabos. Day 1, housekeeping never comes by. Every day we have to call down to request water, coffee pods and new coffee cups because. They never replaced them, shouldn’t that be standard practice? Our last night, we come back from dinner and there a water leak in our ceiling, we have to put down towels everywhere to keep the water from getting on our stuff. When we book a specific room, make sure it’s available and don’t give it away to someone else. Don’t tell someone you’re getting an upgrade when you very well know that the room you’re giving us is the worst room at the resort. We’re UVC members, we have stayed at several Dreams and Secrets resorts, which most we love, but this is by far our worst experience EVER. At checkout, your staff did nothing to accommodate our displeasure, where’s the customer service…

Yelp
Review of the available evening hours day pass. We booked it as a birthday celebration for my wife. We've stayed there in the past and loved the French restaurant as well as the heated pools and hot tubs. The evening pass is good for 5pm-11pm. We decided to dress up a little to start with drinks & dinner for our celebration and brought swimsuits to enjoy the water after dinner. We had a drink at the lobby bar and I went and made reservations at the restaurant. We had a couple of hours to kill before dinner since it was only about 5:30. We ordered a 2nd drink and decided to take a stroll around the grounds with it. We ended up at the main pool area and took a couple of loungers to relax and finish our drinks. My wife noticed there was a shooting fountain in a shallow walk-out and said she was going to walk over and check it out. I figured she would take her heels off so was surprised when she simply stepped right in, heels & all and strolled out to the fountain! I shouldn't have been surprised because she played in the spray and then sat down in the water for me to get a picture. When she got back she remarked that the water was surprisingly warm! She grinned at me and said she was ready for another drink and pointed to the swim up bar! She walked around to the steps with me in tow and walked right in - heels, stockings and everything! So... we enjoyed a drink there and the professional bartender didn't blink an eye! We still had about 90 minutes before dinner so we got out and sat down on the loungers with towels for a while and then strolled around the grounds to dry off further. By the time we were seated for dinner we were (mostly) dry and didn't look like we'd been swimming. We had a wonderful multi-course dinner at the French restaurant and they brought a special dessert for her birthday. After dinner we decided to go enjoy the hot tub. I said great, let me go find a place to change - to which she simply smiled and said, "why?" So over to the large poolside hot tub which was actually deserted. She stepped in without hesitation and we spent an enjoyable 45 minutes or so enjoying the hot tub in dinner attire! Towels were readily available so we got out and dried enough that we weren't dripping before heading back to the lobby bar for a night cap before having the valet deliver the car. All evening the staff everywhere was fantastic! We'll likely do the evening pass again, my wild & crazy wife certainly had a wonderful birthday celebration!

Yelp
Well we tried again today. We received a call from the desk regarding a review I left yesterday. My wife answered and I didn't want to speak with whoever called the room to ensure that I would not be appeased personally. They inquired about our plans for the evening and if we were planning on dinning at a restaurant on the property. My wife said yes we wanted to try Oceana this evening and were looking at around 6:30. Apparently it wasn't important enough to the person who called to share our room number with the restaurant to make up for last night's service. When we arrived at 6:30 we were given a pager but we said nothing about the conversation earlier with a property representative. Mind you we are staying in a two bedroom family suite in the preferred club. 45 minutes later I approached the host and asked if we would be seated soon. He sat us but the service was abysmally slow again! We sat forever waiting for anything. I feel awful about this review because the staff was trying so hard to keep up. They were overwhelmed again, just like last night. Why are the host and hostess cleaning tables and helping with service. We spent another 2 hours getting dinner at this place. I'm sorry but two hours trying to get kids fed at a resort? Who is managing the profit margin at this property? This is just the absolute worst service we have ever received in Mexico. I have received many positive greetings and exchanges with employees during our stay but have passed just as many employees looking at the ground frowning with no greeting at all. I have walked by the same trash on the floors for days that nobody has picked up in the hallway. This tells me that the workers are not happy and take no pride working here. It's so disheartening to see this. I can honestly say that I can not recommend or will ever stay at another resort owned by Hyatt. I have included a photo of what I think encapsulates our stay at this resort. This is the bathroom at the restaurant we spent 2 plus hours at this evening. This is what you can expect here. This is a picture of he restroom at the restaurant we were at tonight...

Yelp
I'm currently writing this review from the resort on our last night. We spent four days here, as a family of three. I did a lot of research looking for a family friendly vacation spot in Cabo. While I am a little let down with the overall experience, we still had a nice trip. If you are coming with a family there are a few things you should know... The moment you get here they will try to get you to go to a vacation club meeting. They put a lot of pressure on you and offer a lot of credits or a free activity. It's up to you if you want to go through this route and listen to a sales pitch, but we declined when we were asked by two different people. If you are coming with kids because you saw things like their little water park, trampoline, etc., just know that these are only available to kids if they go to the kids club. And while there are always plenty of staff and they are friendly, it's a little disappointing that they only way for your child(ren) to take part is to be dropped off and then you don't get to spend time with them. The music at night goes till about 9:00pm, if it's hotel entertainment, and if it's a wedding it goes later. Our poor little one would be so tired and would want to go to bed, but the blaring music would keep them awake, way past their normal bed time. As others have mentioned the food options aren't stellar. It would be nice if they have more options for kids. There is nothing authentic here, which isn't so surprising, but some bomb tacos would have at least been nice. By our last day we were pretty tired of the resort food, and wish we could have ventured out more, but timing just didn't work out well for us to. The room service and mini bar restocking is a bit hit or miss. For instance our mini bar was not restocked before we arrived, so it was only half filled up. We didn't have soap in our room and they showed up so late the next day to fix up the room we told them we just needed some soap and towels. The mini bar also wasn't restocked on our third day so we had to call and get more waters and such. And lastly it is really hard to find chairs and towels by the pool. If you don't come down first thing in the morning and save seats you won't get one. As others have mentioned they could use more umbrellas and they should come up with a system where people can't just leave items on seats all day even when they leave the pool, I have been to other hotels where if you haven't been back to your chair in 30 mins it gets cleared and given to someone else, but definitely not the case here. They'll leave items on chairs and then go to restaurants for meals and back to their rooms and come back hours later. Honestly the five star rating on its website is very generous and is likely a 3 star at best.

Yelp
Our friend was getting married at this resort, so we decided to stay here to make it easier on us. It is a family resort, but the kids must always be with their parents. The grounds are beautiful, the pools are great, staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. Very popular for weddings with children, there was 4 weddings during our week stay. We never had an issue finding lounge chairs, sometimes you had to wait for towels at the pool. You may need to wait a little bit for the restaurants, but nothing crazy. They were just acquired by Hyatt, so they're in the process of changing some things. Here are some things that need work that we noticed. Food portions were small (smaller than usual). Some of the flavoring was on point, with others were very bland (I couldn't eat the tortilla I got on my steak taco because they were that dry and flavorless). When we would go to order a smoothie at the World Cafe and ask for the raw sugar vs the plain sugar that was listed. They would say it's only plain sugar. When we would go to Coco Cafe and ask to make a sandwich, that was an option on the menu, they could only give us what they had in the display case. The gelato at the Coco Cafe is delicious though. They might need to add another kitchen. We waited an hour and a half to get our food at the wedding. There was only 9-10 tables. Everyone was up and dancing while we were getting our main course. Can't go in the ocean at the beach because it's too dangerous. I was able to put my feet in, which was fine by me. They didn't have lifeguards to patrol the ocean for swimmers, but they did have someone to watch and call you back when you got too close to the ocean. Our last full day the waves were insane, so yeah, I wouldn't go in either. But every other day looked like the Northeast shores to me. Their app is great with making requests for housekeeping, room service, etc. I got a massage and facial at the massage and it was lovely. There are some harmless resident birds, and iguanas that hang out around the resort. We also saw plenty of pelicans and Nobula Rays on the beach. Oh, and convert your money to pesos, or go into Cabo to get items. Friends at the wedding paid $50 USD for suntan lotion at the resort. $15 for reusable straws (they also don't give out straws for any drinks). Otherwise, we're relaxed, suntan, and recharged. Was a nice resort, but hoping it'll continue to change as Hyatt takes over.

Yelp
I enjoyed staying at the Dreams resort, we had a beautiful garden, poolside and beach view from the room. It was simply amazing views while dining in the restaurants. We were able to see so many Whales while enjoying our breakfast. We had a private cabana with excellent service. The staff everywhere go out of their way to ensure your comfort. I also enjoyed getting the massage from here, it was a very lovely experience from the beginning until the end. I have stayed in serval places and this staff and service was the best!

Yelp
I definitely enjoyed myself, I probably won't go back due to me not being thrilled! The mini bar in the room only consisted of sodas, waters, and a few beer's that I never heard of, absolutely no real alcohol. I had to ask for alcohol from the staff and they gave me a few some shot bottles. The food was very Americanized even though we weren't in the States. No one spoke English even though 90% of the guest were Americans. There wasn't really anything to do on the resort besides swimming and drinking the water down drinks.

Yelp
This hotel is 2.5 stars in my mind, but that wasn't an option. The staff was pleasant and overall nothing bad happened, but the resort was very dirty and underwhelming. Our room had dirty floors (luckily the slippers were comfy to wear around the room), stained curtains and bed skirts, dusty lampshades, and enough mold to make us uncomfortable every night. The pools were a nice temperature but it was a daily challenge to find pool towels and chairs. The food was decent but only the French restaurant was notable. You have to get in line for dinner right at 6pm when they open, otherwise there are long waits for a table. The bartenders were friendly, but the alcohol used in drinks tasted off every time. Overall it was a fine vacation and I love the Cabo area but the mold in the rooms are what make me say I won't be returning to this resort.

Yelp
Dreams? More like a Nightmare. Let's start with the pros: The View. The view out to the ocean is beautiful and the pool placement is lovely for looking out into the ocean. Cons: everything else. Our problems started at check in. My sister paid for a room with two beds and was given a room with 1 king bed. When she inquired about this she was told the place was at capacity and they had no rooms with two beds. Strike #1. They the tried to frame it as: well we gave you a free upgrade to a bigger bed. Um she didn't ask for one - and she was sharing a room with our sister from another mister - hence the request for two beds, not one. They somehow manage to find a room with two beds and give her the option to take that one or stay in the room with one bed and move to a new room on Saturday with two beds (we checked in on a Thursday). She takes the two beds because that's what they needed. But it quickly becomes apparent that there is an unpleasant smell in the room. Strike #2. She proceeds to talk to the desk folks about being moved and they tell her they have no other rooms. This is on Saturday..so ya'll clearly lied when you told her on Thursday more rooms would be available on Saturday. She asks if someone can come clean the vent as she thinks that is where the odor emanates from. No one comes. Strike #3. And mind you she also paid for preferred club. They were utterly useless. Found out on Saturday their room was also supposed to be stocked with snacks and alcohol daily; so clearly that wasn't being done. We finally get checked in on arrival day - Half the elevators don't work. Half the ice machines don't work either. My parents' room was missing basic amenities like soap and towels. In one elevator the railing must've broken - they literally cut a 2x4 and slapped it on there - no sanding, no nothing. Good luck not getting a splinter if you grab it for support. The food here is subpar. There's really only 1 decent place to eat. The buffet is the saddest thing I've ever seen- makes hometown buffet look like a 5 star. Room service menu is ridiculously limited. This place is supposed to be family friendly. How do you not have a kids menu on your room service menu??? I have to order an adult meal for my 1 y.o. - it's so wasteful. There's no onsite convenience store for snacks/drinks. So make sure you pack em in your suitcase. There's a tiny gift shop with a few items. My sister ran into one of the property managers on her elevator ride and when asked about her visit she told them she was not enjoying her visit. To which they responded, "I know we have a lot of construction happening. We're doing renovations. We're upgrading the food, etc. Come back in 2 years and you'll be blown away." Two years?! We are here NOW!! We worked hard and saved to come here. I want the level of service advertised, but it was all a lie. Long story short, stay away from this outdated place. I'll never stay here or at any other Dreams property again in life.

Yelp
Stayed here for about a week for my best friend's wedding last week & we had a great experience. The wedding was absolutely stunning from the ceremony to the reception. They did an amazing job putting it all together. My husband & I stayed in the ocean view junior suite, 2nd level & glad we weren't too high up. The room was really spacious, maybe more than what I expected. This is one of the nicest resorts we've stayed at & staff were so friendly, professional from the spa, lobby, restaurants & anyone else we passed by. I liked how there was an adult pool which was closer to our room so it wasn't too loud compared to maybe staying closer to the main pool where children are allowed lol. The restaurants were all great, the only one we didn't get to try out was Portofino. The snacks/food you can order at the pool (at least at the adult pool) were great. My favorites were their fish tacos, ceviche & steak quesadilla. This resort is very family-friendly. Looks like there's a lot of options for activities during the day & night. The couples massage we had was another highlight & I'm glad we booked it towards the end of our trip to leave even more relaxed.

Yelp
I have traveled to Cabo MANY times, and Dreams is truly not a dreamy at all, it's more of a nightmare. Resort is on the older side, dirty, service was the worst I have ever encountered no matter how much you tip them it does not matter it's still bad. We had to wait 2 hours for food by the pool, I got pissed off went to the grill outside and got food in 5 mins. We asked for a crib and it took them 2 days, 5 complaints, and a complaint from my travel agent for it to get done. We wanted to cut the trip short but it was a hassle. Never again, the worst resort ever. Stay at Riu instead. Also, if you want pool side chairs you better get up at 5:30am/6am to get them, they do not have enough chairs for everyone.

Yelp
Here now love the resort as far as View, pool was warm not cold we've had that problem at other resorts. We had the preferred room which is more amenities like better room/view, private lounge with great drinks and food and only for preferred members, wet bar in room items free (candy, bottles of water, drinks etc). Worth paying for preferred room. View is incredible. Staff were great. The reasons for 4 stars and cons to know about are this: All inclusive however hard to get into restaurants without 45min-1:20 wait every night. Cafe on beach isn't great and so we found ourselves eating room service or in the preferred club for finger food. The inability to eat as needed was a problem for family of 4. They need more restaurants or to figure out how to not make people wait so long nightly. Due to location we have no other options since we aren't in town. Upon arrival I got sucked into timeshare appt by Amstar guys at the entrance. Avoid that unless that is of interest. I canceled the next morning but it wasn't easy. Not a swimmable beach however we knew that so not dinging them for that the view and color of water is to die for just know not swimmable. The infinity pool is incredible we basically never got out. We were there 7 days. I would return because hotel is very nice. Lobby is amazing but they should power wash walkway to rooms we were on top floor and stained sticky floors leading to rooms. Oh and I was shocked the living room wasn't a pull out sofa for my kids it was a cushion you put on the ground. There is no way another adult would be ok with that. I assumed pull out sofa. It wasn't. Kids club is geared for littles mine are 10/12 so it was boring to them. FYI.

Yelp
100% not enough umbrellas in pool area ! Order more umbrellas for ur guests .. there should be 1 per 2 chairs. I had to get into a fight with the pool director just to get an umbrella for our party of 4. I know it's not his fault. Just ridiculous and very upsetting to be on vacation and have to deal with this - over all experience not the best at all. * the staff was great (Elsa great ! Oscar @ bar great! Luis at pool alway super nice and helpful! Staff is very nice ) BUT that's not the problem! This place, this resort is not what it was before Hyatt purchased it . We have been here before and I had no complaints. This place needs funding to have the basics available. Restaurant by the pool offers breakfast but closed at 10am and doesn't open till 12 for lunch. Everyone always seems to be closing. Alcoholic drinks are extremely water-down, u have to order triple to taste any alcohol- u basically need to go into town to get a decent drink . Food is just ok (def better in town then @ resort)... but If eating at resort its better at pool and the beach hut than the restaurants (found hair in my omelette @ world cafe 1 day and hair in my fruit the next day). I don't see us coming back here again anytime soon.

Sengmany M.

Yelp
This place is hit or miss as we had some good service here and there BUT the bad service was bad enough to put a sour taste on a damper on everything else. The French restaurant which is the only restaurant that you have to dress up for. We showed up early and the service was horrible. The woman that was seating us seemed annoyed we showed up early and at the end was even more annoyed saying our 2 kids were being too loud when the playfully made fun of each other at the end of dinner while having dessert. No reservations are required but getting seating at bfast (as there is only 2) is tough. Room service takes more than 2 hours. And you have to send a friendly reminder after 2 hours to get your food. But that's not representative of all as there is some good service here and there BUT AGAIN the bad is SOOO bad that it puts a damper on others. Enter at your own risk.

Yelp
First impression arrive at the resort is wow! It's a very beautiful resort. We arrived and checked in and paid for our all inclusive package which included food/drinks at any restaurant and bar. FYI there is a preferred package which they didn't tell us about and that includes what they consider premium alcohol like don julio

Yelp
Cabo We thought we would go on a nice family vacation at a place that states it's a good family resort for kids. The upside for this resort is that it's inexpensive, the rooms are clean and a decent size. Unfortunately, that was about it. All thr restaurants have long lines, long waits in your seat and are sit town to order for dinner. meaning if you take your children, plan for 2-3 hours between the line and service time before you are done eating. That might not be so terrible if the food wasn't worse than most buffet food ive eaten. The only solution there is to drop your kids at the daycare and not spend tike with them. Nice family resort. The alcohol is all inclusive but unless you are drinking beer or basic liquor drinks, the wine selection is awful (unless you pay for wine). The pool near the kids pool is cold. The actual kids pool is a fountain at most. The slide they had running didn't have enough water going through it and kids had to push on the sides to get down the pretty short slide. They offered resort credit for sitting through a Hyatt vacation club pitch. The high pressure pitch was bad and after expressed my dislike for a few of the resort features, their best answer was to sign up for the vacation club anyway since this is one of their older, not as good resorts. Not going to drop 10s of thousands of dollars or more on a club where my experience so far has been bad. My best guess is that they are tryimg tp get you in with low prices then nickle and dime every cent they can. All in all, I would not recommend going to Dreams unless low cost is your highest priority.

Yelp
The resort in itself is beautiful and has a lot to offer. Its alongside the beach with an amazing view and 3 big bars. My favorite part of it is the huge pool with a bar you can walk to. I will say however certain employees aren't the most friendly and are more concerned about getting you away as quick as possible or receiving tips. Especially ones at the cafe by the pool. Not all were like that but definitely experienced some that were. The cafe food by the pool isn't the best. I thought the room service burger was really good, but the second night I got it cold and late. Overall, aside from some noticeable mistakes, I still would recommend this resort for a couple, wedding, or group of friends to stay at!

Yelp
The picturesque views at this all inclusive resort could be described as pleasant "dreams," but everything else screams "nightmares." I came to this resort to attend my cousin's wedding, but the cost for this resort is definitely not worth what we received. From the moment I checked in, I was irked that I was not provided an introduction to the resort itself. We were given a room super far away from everything. I was not pleased with that considering that the check-in card listed another room and was subsequently placed in another room super far away. Luckily, my cousins were there at the resort so they guided me around. Otherwise, I really didn't know where to do. The resort is a huge labyrinth. The wayfinding is less to be desired. Their numbering of the rooms is also confusing. Some of the room numbers are 3 digits, and then suddenly, it becomes 4 digits. The restaurants onsite had subpar food. The only restaurant that was decent was Bourdeaux restaurant. I wish I had knew about Bourdeaux the first night as I would have just gone there. They do have some of dress code, so make sure to address appropriately. The worst had to be the inedible wedding food. For the most part, the staff were pretty friendly as they make sure to say hi always. However, the staff couldn't make up for the subpar food and bottom shelf drinks. For the amount of money that I paid, I was expecting better considering that I have stayed at other all inclusive resorts that offered so much more. I could have easily used the money to purchase an all inclusive resort that included better food and alcohol elsewhere.

Yelp
Got a day pass to go here last week when we were vacationing in Los Cabo's. Day pass was $100 from 7am -5pm. Pass is worth the price. You get all you can eat and drink all day. We got there around 7:30am and checked in at the front desk. The person that checked us in was really nice and polite and explained how the pass worked. We had access to all open restaurants and bars all day. No wristbands were needed. Simply tell them you are on a day pass. We went to the pool area and reserved our seats for the day. The pool worker was very nice and watched our seats while we went to the buffet. The buffet was ok. About what you expect from any all inclusive resort. They did have mimosas which was cool because the bars at the resort don't start serving alcohol until 10am. So if you purchase the day pass, don't expect to start drinking until 10 unless you want mimosas. We spent most of the day at the pool bar. Daniel was EXCELLENT. Best bartender and hard worker. The entertainment guy was good and I had fun participating in the pool aerobics. He also later did a tequila tasting. He was great. All in all I had a great time on the day pass and I would recommend. I will definitely do this again the next time I'm in Cabo.

Yelp
First day here. So far it's been going bad. lol The hotel and room is outdated. When we arrived there was no open restaurant to eat other than the "club". We walked to the club to get food and were told it would be at least one hour before we could get service. We decided to go shower and order room service... we got to the room only to realize that we don't have hot water...(it was eventually fixed). We went to dinner, restaurants are just okay, after dinner we came back to the room and noticed the door to our room was open. Whoever did the night service left the latch on the door to keep it open. ‍‍ This is our first day!

Yelp
This is the worst resort we have ever stayed at. Positive- Manny and Freddy at the cabanas were awesome. Juliette at Preferred Club- amazing. Bordeaux Restaurant - ok to good but inconsistent from night to night. The rooms are dirty and dated, the hallways and stairwells filthy, not enough loungers and umbrellas at the pools and many are torn and broken. Some waiters nice others not so much. Drinks at the adult pool have a strange artificial aftertaste - upgrade your mixes! Even if Preferred you can't get upgraded liquor at the pool. Overall the food is fair to below average and the resort cuts corners on quality. Housekeeping needs a lesson on cleaning and showing up each day.Would never go there again nor recommend to anyone!

Yelp
Oscar Oscar Oscar!!!!!x2 If you come here, swim up to the bar and talk to the bartender Oscar and he will make sure you are taken care of. I am leaving Cabo with the best place to visit because of Oscar!

Yelp
Oscar, Oscar, Oscar!!!!!!!! Best bar tender in Mexico. Drinks were amazing and made us feel like VIP all day everyday would come back just because of his service.

Yelp
Beware of the sales presentation. When you sign up for the presentation they don't tell you what they will try to sell you. We signed up for a 90 minutes presentation. We made some plans for 4 hours (!!!!!) after the presentation. On our arrival ( we were honest about our plans) we were told that we have to cancel our plans because they need 4 hours for the presentation "in case we buy". This is a total misrepresentation. We decided to get out, and very glad we did. They are selling Unlimited Vacation Club membership. PEASE read reviews of UVC here, on FB, and BBB's site BEFORE you sign of for a presentation.

Yelp
We stayed here last weekend with 5 other couples, and had a wonderful time. This is my 3rd review of a resort in Mexico, and one of my favorite things about this place is that it's a bit smaller than the other resorts, and very easy to navigate. It's not overly spread out or hectic feeling. It's convenient when trying to find friends, food, drinks, and also helps some of us actually get to dinner on time! Our room was clean, cute, and had a nice view of the beach. Sleeping to the sound of waves crashing was so romantic. My only complaint is that I love taking bubble baths and this room only had a shower. There were two great massaging shower heads and it was very spacious, but it was still not the bathtub I was hoping for. Beds were comfy, and the luxurious amenities were generously sized. This is also the ONLY resort that I have visited in which the ENTIRE staff was extremely kind, professional, accommodating, and understanding of how to make their guests feel welcome and taken care of. Front desk, Pool Service, Bartenders, Restaurant staff, Cafe, Spa, - seriously the entire resort is staffed with friendly and helpful people! We hit the Buffet for breakfast and lunch and it was good. Something for everyone, my favorite items were the fresh fruit and the chilaquiles. The Italian restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the French restaurant was just ok. The desserts offered at both were delectable. I'm still thinking about that mouth watering Crème Brûlée. The 24 hour cafe had desserts, coffee, gelato, smoothies, and again wonderful service. One woman even helped me learn a few new sentences, because my Spanglish is really coming along. I booked a massage and facial at the spa and enjoyed both very much. Linda was so accommodating as she managed to schedule all of the services my girlfriends and I requested. It was relaxing, indulgent, and I highly recommend spending at least 1/2 a day there. The last day of our trip I had a migraine, and I was a cranky little beast as I begged for a later check out. When I was flatly told "No" it was very disappointing I asked if there was somewhere to rest, and I was told "by the pool". Migraines are an extremely painful and disorienting event that occur in my brain. I needed a dark room, a place to vomit, and take my medicine so I can sleep. So I got pretty mean, and I'm not exactly proud. BUT, in my defense, I was sick. I did get a later check out, but I had to have a grown up temper tantrum first. My apologies to the front desk. Before we left, I heard some ugly cow yelling at the front desk and quickly realized that this is not a job that I would ever want. Thank you, and again, I apologize.

Yelp
This place is ridiculous. Blasting music until 10:30 pm. You can't even get a good rest. The food at the pool side restaurant was disgusting. The nachos tasted like they were from a movie theater. My burger was barely edible. The French fries were cold. Dinner at Portifino was pathetic. They served food to one person at a time. Didn't understand that's not how to serve. We couldn't even eat together. Cheap, loud and not worth it!

Yelp
So it was my cousins wedding weekend at Dreams in Los Cabos. If I could give a 4.5 star I would but unfortunately I can only give a 4 or 5. So I'll go with 4. I was there from Thursday afternoon until Monday morning and I can honestly say I felt like I was experiencing heaven on earth. This resort is absolutely Beautiful! The service was amazing, I had a few bumps in the road but overall amazing. The staff was VERY friendly. Everyone says Hola, Buenos Dias or Buenos Noches. They are very helpful. The ambiance is very beautiful and serene. There are four restaurants on the premises and 24 hour room service, unfortunately I only experienced two of the four restaurants. I'm a breakfast lover and breakfast to me was phenomenal!! The drinks were not that great in my opinion it's because I wasn't apart of the preferred members, they received top shelf liquor. Regular members receive basic liquor so I tasted more syrup and ice than alcohol. The other thing was they put up a sign which I will post about the towels and I had to call three times for towels. Other than that this resort is beautiful and I would revisit and recommend. They made sure my cousins wedding and her 80 party of people had an EPIC time!!

Yelp
I had the absolute best time here with my family. We came for my brother's wedding and the employees were absolutely amazing and took such good care of us, not to mention the resort was beautiful. All of the employees were so attentive, fun, and friendly but I do have a few shoutouts. Calli, Domingo, Gabriel, and Nirvana on the entertainment team made everyday so exciting with different activities around the pool area. There was also another amazing young man on the team but I didn't get his name! They really got to know you by name and were so funny and friendly with the guests. Oscar and Carlos at the bar were great!! Oscar gave my entire family the most amazing service, memorized our drinks and names, had it ready before we even got all the way to the bar! Carlos was a bartender for the wedding as well as by the pool and he took the best care of us as well. Ricardo was our server a few times at the seaside grill and he was very attentive and friendly, he made sure to say hi to me every day and check in. This vacation was one to remember and I'm so so thankful to all of the employees at Dreams that made my family's stay so great. There was so much great food, drinks, and activities for everyone in the family.

Yelp
If you genuinely care about your guests' experience, I strongly advise against choosing this venue for your wedding. During a recent experience attending a friend's wedding at this location, my partner and I had an extremely distressing encounter. The staff treated us poorly, as if we were at fault, and unexpectedly demanded a $300 entrance fee just to attend the wedding. To make matters worse, they confined us to a massage room and threatened to involve the police if we refused to pay. It appears that this was done without the knowledge of the bride and groom. The entrance fees for external guests were never disclosed before the wedding. To the surprise of the bride and groom, they had to deal with this issue on their special day and ended up apologizing and offering to Venmo the guests during the wedding dinner. It was sad to witness the distress they experience on their special day. Moreover, we noticed that the hotel exploited guests who arrived closer to the wedding start time by using threats and pressure to coerce them into paying in order not to miss the wedding. Interestingly, a few older early-arriving guests who stayed at a different property didn't have to pay to enter. Despite our efforts to address the situation by reaching out to the hotel's customer service and Hyatt, we received no response or acknowledgement of their misconduct. Additionally, our requests to speak with the manager were outright denied. Given these regrettable circumstances, I strongly suggest exploring other venue options for your special day to spare your guests from any potential distress or inconvenience.

Yelp
Had a difficult time checking into the resort. They demanded additional fees although we already paid all our hotel fees in advance. They then proceeded to blame us that we didn't pay all the fees. We found our room was infested with mosquitoes. We stayed for 5 days, but never got our housekeeping. Room service always took nearly 2 hours to arrive. The pool was extremely warm/hot. Costumer service was poor. We waited over 30 minutes to get seated at the seaside grill because they kept changing the tables that they wanted us to sit at.

Yelp
After many stays at numerous all-inclusive resorts, Dreams Los Cabos stands out as an excellent choice. We traveled with another couple and we all agreed that we would definitely come back. Couple of staff members that really went above and beyond were Ricardo at the adult pool bar who could have not been more polite and accommodating. The other was Elvis at Portofino Italian restaurant. He was extremely friendly and made certain that everyone was more than pleased. Please share with these staff members as they certainly deserve praise! John R.

Yelp
Ocean front uni t purchased turned out to be pool view. Yes you can see a sliver of ocean if you looked from an angle from the room.Being hotel the space is decent with non overly firm beds. All inclusive food is not bad... not great either. I'd come back as it's nice on par with most Sheratons I've been at. Dreams use basa as their fish of the day. It's also found in their fish taco. Basa is frozen and found in supermarkets, not indigenous to a sea of Cortez. If that describes quality. Oceans pasta de mare had a bitter taste, rejected after 1 bite. Pool can do laps without so many obstacles however packed with Americans screaming and partying. Some hotels you'd see more Americans and Canadians this is one of those.

Yelp
Naomi fue la persona en Dreams que hizo que recibieran 5 estrellas!! She is fluent in her English which made communication with our party of 4 a breeze Naomi was the hostess with the mostest. She is very helpful and always carried a smile gave us a list of spots to eat from at the resort and was very attentive. We were so pleased and appreciative to find a welcoming Hostess.Thank you Dreams and all staff.! Great atmosphere

Yelp
Beware ! Never coming back to dreams We stayed here for seven days and on the 4th day Someone went into our rooms and stole my daughter and sons AirPods and $250 cash.. they were well hidden in their back packs.. leads me to believe my kids were "marked" at some point at the hotel .. they knew exactly where to go ... they didn't take laptops or anything large.. just anything that will fit into their pockets ! It's gets better,, I reported to manager, they say they'll "investigate" meanwhile the AirPods are pinging on the "find my iPhone app" about 20 miles south in the inland rural area of Cabo .. so unless a American tourist broke into our room and decided to go to where all the locals live then I think we can rule the tourists out.. They finally say, they aren't responsible for anything stolen in anyone's room.. the last person in our room was the maid.. and my son was in another connecting room while they cleaned his room... I wanted them to comp me for our theft.. obviously someone that works there stole them.. so I said "so, what it's just tough luck" and the lady says "yes tough Luck" I was furious ... I will never come back to a place that cannot guarantee a travelers personal belongings and safety.. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else..

Yelp
This was our first time staying at this resort so we were quite excited. We normally stay at Secrets and decided to try this one since it's closer to the other side of town. It's a very pretty resort but there wasn't a ton to see or do here. Food is ok, not great and not bad but it's to be expected at an all inclusive resort. There were no beach or pool activities which was a bummer but we can live with that. Unfortunately, the club/lounge closed at 10 pm (as did the rest of town) but that was due to Covid. We did enjoy the live music! We got a room with a balcony that faces the pool so we'd get to hear and see the band from our patio. It was like a VIP seat to a concert! The service is wonderful and we absolutely loved Raul! He was on top of everything and was beyond helpful when we wanted to book anything or had questions. This is a family friendly resort so if you're looking for more romance, you may want to stay at an Adult only resort. But, if it's a family vacation, this is a great spot to bring your little ones!

Yelp
DO NOT GO! We are avid Secrets Goers, UVC members, and have visited multiple locations across the globe. Not only did this Dreams locations disappoint, but it made us never want to visit any of the locations again. 1. A year in advance, we planned this vacation and asked for rooms next to one another. I called multiple times to confirm. Showed up 5 hours prior to checkin, and STILL were placed in different areas of the building until we argued and were charged an additional $90 per night to upgrade. 2. We were the FIRST in line for restaurants to open EVERY Night for EVERY restaurant and still had to wait almost TWO HOURS to get our food. Which is very difficult in a "family friendly" resort with multiple kids waiting. 3. If you want a seat by the pool, be up and down there by 6 am (which is fine, because we were up anyways and pretty common across all secrets/dreams resorts), but plan on waiting until 8 - 9 am for towels. 4. Food is very minimal portions, so you have to order 2 or 3 things to complete a full meal. 5. No straws or kids friendly cups/plates. Keep in mind this is a family resort, but our 1 year old and 3 year old were still given glass cups and plates, no straw, and adult utensils. EVERY night at dinner, there were multiple plates/glasses broken. 6. Activities were beyond minimal and very restricted for headcount. 7. Do not trust the pictures online. The playground is broken, tilted, and falling apart. The Rock wall is unclimbable and never in service. The trampoline is always closed. The waterside trickles water and is impossible to go down without pulling yourself down. 8. Finally, I would add that there are a few amazing staff members who do their best with what they have. So we were very appreciative of them. But there is no world where their efforts and kindness would overcome the resorts downfalls and poor quality.

Yelp
I didn't stay here - this review is for my short visit: Pros: 1. The chicken chilaquiles at the restaurant were very tasty. Has more lime than I'm used to and it worked well. When I ordered this same dish at my hotel (sister brand), it looked similar but wasn't as good. So get this dish here. Cons: 1. I got pressured into attending a presentation for UVC here trying to get you to spend a lot of money to become a member of their travel club. It took 2-3 times as long as they said it would and I was getting upset by the end. Unenjoyable experience.

Yelp
Went on vacation in September 2022 for my wife's birthday booked through Costco travel with the all inclusive perks that's a must the resort was ok the rooms were cleans so that's a plus we upgraded to a balcony our view was ok basically looking at a empty lot next to us but at least we could see the ocean when we checked in the hotel guest tried to sell us a time share so that took like 15 min of our time and after he seen that I was not interested they got the hint and let me go I really would love if they wouldn't try to sell you on them so much especially since had already booked the pools were cool except the kids pool was getting remodeled so that meant all the kids were in the big pool witch I didn't mind since I new the resort was all ages they did have a adult pool 21 and over but it was always old people and no music it was always lonely and bored they did have plenty of places to eat so that was good I'll give the food from a scale of 1-5 they get a 3 it wasn't the greatest but then again it was all inclusive they really didn't have that much to do they had a little club but it was always dead I think most guests had kids and just wanted to relax the good think is that u can get a Uber to downtown and that's we're the party and everything exciting is and it's only a 15 min drive and it's super cheap like $7 there you can eat and have drinks they have plenty to choose from I recommend getting the tour of the beach it's pretty cool and the water is beautiful the main thing that sucked about the resort was that they kept running out of beer at the pools and since super hot and not much to do that's we're we don't most of our time so they need to work on that all In all it was ok next time I'll try a 21 and resort maybe it would be a little more fun and exciting till next time Cabo

Yelp
Money was STOLEN from our room. After there "investigation" they were only able to give us $100 off our room bill. They had rifled through all my stuff to find that money, completely not okay and invasion of privacy.

Yelp
Our room wasn't cleaned through our week stay. We had to beg for towels and coffee. Restaurants have average food with one hour wait time in lines. But room service was great, beach service was great, bartenders awesome, room gorgeous The tours take you where they are getting kick backs so no time to shop on shopping tour.

Yelp
The resort was great. rooms where the perfect size with all the ameneties. Our family of 10 (6 adutls - 4 pre-teens) were treated extremely well by all the staff. I pesonally had just a few issues, the food was not up to a 5 star hotel. Our fisrt night we ate the the Seaside Grill. The adults ordered steaks which unfortunatly were very low quality, they had been over tenderized and were actually mushy and did not have much flavor. The nex morning we all visited the World buffet. The breakfast was great but the wifes all desided never to eat there again because there were birds flying inside and landing on the bread items. There were two restaurants that stood out. Portofino and Oceana were both excellent. We did not go to the Bordeaux (french) restaurant because it required formal attire and it was an adult only restaurant. The pool was a bit colder than I like it but after they initial shock you got used to the it. All in all I would definatly go there again. Hopefuly Hyatt will fix the food quality in the near future.

Yelp
Great for families and celebrations like weddings. It's really fun to be there. All you see are happy faces. staff is remarkably kind and professional. On The gulf of California crashing waves day and night, the spot takes your breath away. Restaurants have incredible ceviches. Best I've ever had.

Yelp
Absolute horrible customer service. All employees and staff had horrible attitude and no patience. My family and I were told numerous times we were wrong in everything we did. The concierges did not help us in any way to accommodate our stay and nearly made us miss our flight. I would not recommend anyone to spend their vacation here. Garbage hospitality would be an understatement. Please look elsewhere to stay

Yelp
Was overall a pleasant stay - the food was fine for an all inclusive resort, and the drinks were watered down which was to be expected. What really made this stay so great was the friendly staff, who were incredibly helpful and attentive. Special shout out to Quetzali and Miriam, who were just fantastic. Can't say enough about how awesome everyone who works there is.

Our stay at Dreams Los Cabos was amazing!!!! We had the extreme pleasure of being serviced by Elvis and Octavio---super incredible guys!!! We were a party of 9 and the service provided by these wonderful gentlemen made each of us feel special!!!! The food prepared and served was AMAZING!!!! Our party vacationed here for a week! Elvis would locate us on the resort just to see how we were doing and to see if we were enjoying ourselves and the food!!! This was not something that he had to do! Elvis is THE BEST!!!! Octavious-Thank you kind sir!!!!!! You guys definitely helped make our stay a memorable one!!!! Muchos Gracias!!!

Yelp
Decent, clean resort, all-inclusive, menu items limited. All drinks very watered down. Nice adults only area BUT! Traveled with a group of classmates for a reunion trip over 20 people in our group. I've visited many hotels/resorts, this one was okay. But here is the issue... please beware of the presentation pitch. At checkin,(rooms not ready yet) we already had planned an ocean view room, but were told we could upgrade to the adults only-preferred room side for $400. This supposedly included access to the preferred beach area, the preferred club (with premium beverages) and an ocean view room on the adults only side. Initially I declined the offer. However, there was a resort guy walking through encouraging all of us to sign up for a presentation. (I have done one numerous times at numerous locations and was very familiar with them). He stated, you can do the room upgrade for $200 AND get a massage for coming to the presentation. So, I say okay for $200 and a $75 massage I'll do the upgrade. He tells me another person in my group has also signed up for presentation at 8am the next morning. I said fine book me for then. It was then time to checkin and he said that he would handle the room upgrade piece I just need to pay the $200 difference, which I did. I went to the front desk told them about the offer and was told to pay $200. I got to the presentation the next day, sit through a 2 hour presentation with Ahmaury, and upon its conclusion I'm given 2 x $100 coupons for the balance of my massage and also paid $75 for the difference. I asked about the room upgrade credit and was assured that had already been taken care of. Fine. Sunday, I have a massage and use the coupons (which I paid for $75). BUT HERE IS THE BAIT AND SWITCH part. Yesterday, when my roommate and I go to check out ( I was leaving first because my flight was early), the front desk says there is a $200 balance for the room upgrade. I then say, no I paid my part for the room upgrade, $200. He says oh yes! I see that, the UVC owes us $200 and mentions it to the UVC representative standing next to him. And she says oh okay I will take care of it. He then gives me an exit ticket and says all is taken care of. HOWEVER, when my roommate attempts to leave a few hours later she is told we have $200 balance for the ROOM upgrade!! So the vacation club did NOT take care of their balance and left it on us. They then held my roommate hostage and said she couldn't get an exit pass unless balance was paid. And as a "courtesy" they would reduce it to $100. Again, I had just had the conversation to make sure all was okay before I left and was assured our balance was clear. They tell her that I was supposed to use the 2 X $100 coupon for the room not the spa, although I was told repeatedly that they had already credited the room and that was taken care of and did not need the coupons for the room. Had I been told that I would have assuredly requested two additional coupons. Today I just spent over an hour on the phone initially being told they would credit my roommates $100 back to her, by Viany. The manager Raquel also agreed, but apparently the vacation club said no. They transferred me to Elios who talked over me and repeatedly stated that I was supposed to use the coupons for the room, but when I tried to explain that I was offered two gifts, the room upgrade AND the massage, he refuses to listen, continued interrupting me and then hangs up on me. Completely rude and disrespectful!!! When I try to call back yet again, I'm put in hold. So to conclude, the resort is decent, and clean, okay for families, and a bit outdated, but under NO circumstances take a room upgrade and trust them to do what they said. Get EVERYTHING in writing. I guess because I chose not to purchase they arbitrarily rescinded one of their gifts. As you can see there is no assistance with trying to get anything rectified. The resort is probably okay, but have absolutely no dealings with the Hyatt UVC (vacation club).

Yelp
This was our second trip in six years to this attractively appointed Hyatt property and we continue to enjoy it with certain reservations. Most of the meals were surprisingly delicious for the two of us except one for me at Portofino was absolutely horrendous tasting. Enough said. The staff is attentive and all friendly, but the housekeeping is haphazard and leaves much to be desired. Not referring to the cleanliness, but fixing a drain not opening, failing to attend to the room one day, not refilling the coffee, etc. The check-in process was not handled well either as people cut in front of us and the staff basically allowed such. The bartenders were uniformly excellent, but the restaurants try to up-sell you to more expensive options not included. Regarding Covid, all staff wore masks and mask were required to enter indoor restaurants as well as to service yourself at the buffet. Security tries to keep you from walking beyond the property on the beach because of the severe surf and dangerous undertow conditions. This is to be expected, but just don't plan to swim in it there. They are not as vigilant in policing children using the hot tubs, gaming in public areas, or masking at a buffet line. The adult pool is a nice escape from the noisy, but beautiful general pool. Rooms fronting in that general pool area do have the issues of loud music played either by the staff or the many wedding receptions. The only issue with the adult pool is by mid-afternoon the drunks get absurdly loud so pick your seats away from the bar area if you can. I've been to other all-inclusive resorts that handle all these issues better so I can't rate it higher than a three, but if we might return here, 4 nights for us is definitely enough.
