We're not high maintenance people, so we give this hotel a five star! We stayed three nights during new year's. Our room was very clean, plenty of towels, closet space, clean robes, plenty of soft drinks in fridge, etc. we couldn't hear the neighbors' activities so I assume the walls were thick enough.
Our room faced east, so we saw the sunrise.Every morning, it was very quiet, we faced the adult pool, which was beautiful! The adult pool had no children, food and drink services so it's excellent and not slow at all!
The resort this beautifully situated facing the ocean, the ocean is not swimmable, but still, the sand is clean and the locals do not bother you in pushing their souvenirs on you. There is a lot of activities on this side of the.Resort and it can be loud with bands and shows held there.It's a wonderful view. Tons of families with children everywhere, it was great. Can be crowded, with not enough lounge chairs, run out of towels you may have to wait five to ten minutes, but they eventually come.
The food was excellent for the most part. Some dishes came out piping, hot, others came a little warm and/or cold. 90% warm and/or hot. Flavor of their food were all delicious except for one dish it had rice, chicken, shrimp. Yuk! Otherwise, we tried a lot of.the restaurant foods and everything else was delicious as far as flavor. Breakfast is buffet style, the best thing to do to make sure you get hot food is to have an omelet. The coffee can be cold, but just ask him to go.Get you hot coffee, and they do. Tipping upon first arrival, even though they say you don't have to, will improve service by a 100%.
It is true. The service and getting seats in the restaurants can be very slow. At the hotel shouldn't look into correcting that. They usually say it would take thirty minutes to seat, but they'll come back in ten to fifteen minutes and see you. And while you're waiting, you will notice empty tables in the restaurant, i can make a lot of people annoyed. So i'm not sure why the hotel does that, but according to all the reviews they are slow at seating and they are. This didnt affect my 5 star review because I understand it's a different country, it's not America, and only here in America can we expect the speed of service we get here in america. So before you go there, expect the service to be different. With that expectation, we were very happy and expected it gave ourselves time case of this delay. The hotel should still work on improving this as most of their guests are Americans!!!
I saw a lot of the reviews that staff were not friendly. We did not find that to be true for the most part. A male bartender in the one bar in the main lobby was a jerk the one time we stooped there otherwise, eest of staff at Dreams were friendly. The gardeners, staff working on the yard, labor intensive work kept their heads downs and worked, they did not go out of their way to greet us. They shouldn't have to. The wait staff, front desk, deli staff, etc., were all friendly.
We will definitely return to Dreams and recommend them to anyone that asks us.
