We stayed at this resort for a week. Resort is close to the airport, grounds kept amazing, workers constantly keeping it clean. We were at Preferred club and our room was nice with partial ocean view. My son enjoyed the waterpark and arcade very much. Coffee shop is amazing serving great milkshakes and smoothies. Shout out to Junior - bartender at the lobby bar who made the greatest Cosmo and Espresso martinis. Adrian our battler did an amazing job taking care of us and setting up a room for my birthday. Entertainment team did their best but 4 star resort should bring variety and more professional entertainment. The food was ok at the buffet, Seaside grill and Oceania. The rest of the restaurants the quality was very poor and if the buffet is closed, you don’t have any other options. We were part of Prefered club but didn’t feel the experience worth the money. It seemed that anyone could use amenities not just members. The staff should monitor or bracelets would be a great idea to distinguish the members. Overall we had a great holiday but management need to make some improvements.

I visited this hotel with my daughter and friends. We were here for a total of 8 days. According to the reviews, I had high expectations from the hotel complex. And how did it all turn out? The welcome and reception were absolutely fine. Everything turned out as it should. As for the room, it was always tidy, but some parts needed to be repaired. For example, bubbles in the wood from the table, the air conditioning was growling at higher speeds. Sometimes damaged plaster. But in general I can say that the room was not top, but it was good. What disappointed me in the room was the minibar. I had to insist every day that the minibar be replenished. And it even happened to me that beer was stolen from the minibar. I know, because I don't drink beer 😊. I reported all these issues to the reception. Unfortunately, I did not receive any feedback. The beach, pools and water slide were very well prepared and I have no complaints. The food and drinks were very good, but not the best. The main restaurant was great and probably the best. The other restaurants were disappointing for us. Mainly Asian, Italian. These restaurants simply can't do it. The seafood restaurant is also very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What we didn't like at all was that if you wanted to sleep, you simply couldn't. The music throughout the area played long into the night, even at 11 pm. That's a big mistake. In general, I rate this hotel at 80%. And I would focus on the volume of entertainment at night, repairs to details in the rooms, and I would probably cancel the restaurants that can't do it. I would definitely return to the hotel.

Resort is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The staff are amazing; the entertainment team keep my children engaged in games and activities at the pool. The food was good although I found it hard to find more healthy options in the restaurants. Each morning The Coco cafe would make me a protein smoothie with my specifics. My kids (14,12,10) loved the arcade and it provided a nice break from the sun. We were there the last week of September into October, the first 4 days the resort was so nice and quiet. ||The Water park is great for the older kids, and they also have a separate water park for young kids.

We stayed 4 nights and were very disappointed.||Our first room was dirty and the second one, while cleaner, had a shower that didn’t drain properly. One day, housekeeping never came at all. The minibar was never restocked during our entire stay. Even though the hotel was at less than half capacity, service was disorganized and unreliable.||I had requested early check-in when booking through Hyatt, but the room was still not ready at 2 PM (only one hour before official check-in). When we finally got it at 3 PM, it was dirty and not prepared. Very frustrating.||We also stayed here for my son’s birthday, yet they put a “Happy Anniversary” sign on our door. I had to call again to correct it. The birthday cake we ordered was also mishandled (they refunded us), which ruined the surprise.||Food and drinks were poor quality with little variety. The buffet was not clean — every day I saw flies at the stations, and at the kids’ ice cream station the serving utensil was sitting in dirty water until I asked an employee to replace it. For a resort of this brand, this level of hygiene is unacceptable.||Last year we stayed at Dreams Flora and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, Dreams Macao fell far below expectations in terms of cleanliness, organization, food quality, and service. We deeply regret choosing this property and would not recommend it.

i will start with the positives, the staff are mostly great. Coco cafe which is open 24 hrs a day is a must on an afternoon for coffee and cake and the girls in there were fantastic. Bordeaux which is a french restaurant was amazing food and stood out over all of the others . |Now for the negatives, this hotel group is set up for americans who want a timeshare holiday 4 to 5 times a year. When we were looking to book our holiday, we took particular notice of the amount of restaurants and pools each individual hotel had so we had plenty of places to entertain us day and night. This one states 8 restaurants and 4-5. pools. Not at any time throughout the 10 days we were there, did we have access to choose between all 8 restaurants as we were lucky if we had the choice of 2 or 3 . Some nights we only had the choice between oceana and the world buffet. Oceana being a fish only restaurant meant we only had the buffet which over a period of your holiday you do tend to eat there often . The only time they opened a few more restaurants were at weekends when they were busier with showing the americans around and wanted to make a good impression. |As for the pools, out of the 4-5 pools they say you have a choice from , you don’t unless you pay an extra 700 dollars when you first arrive at reception to be a preferred guest. After paying over £3000 for 2 people, why would anyone want to pay roughly an extra £600 to use facilities that you thought you had access to already. The main pool is very loud and unfortunately if you want a quiet sunbathe and relax by the pool , isn’t a place you’re going to get it. |We also booked a pool view room , which when we arrived, realised they meant the KIDS pool which is ok if you are with your children . Also please do dead lock your door on your room as we had staff just walk in with us in the bath and shower for no reason . We also found that the towel lady would knock your door around 10.30 to offer you clean towels , and if you’re in bed already is the last thing you want to be getting back out of bed for . The TUI rep wasn’t much use and just said that most of these issues were covered in the small print and there wasn’t much she could do apart from get us to right our concerns down and she would have it put on record back in the uk . We just didn’t feel this was good enough…..|The beach there is a quiet haven to spend your days and obviously with all beaches in these places have dogs that live on them . Being animal lovers , we looked after 3 dogs that used to be there every day by giving them food and water. They were fussed by a lot of the people who also sunbathed there but one member of staff used to kick out at them , trying to scare them off. I took a dislike to this as these dogs were no trouble to anyone and subsequently got this guy by the scruff of his neck and told him straight to leave them alone or else. These animals might not have homes to goto but they are just like you and i and need the basics ( food and water) . If it was easy to do, i would have bought all 3 back home to give them a proper place to live in . |So to summarise our experience, before booking this hotel, look elsewhere as we stayed at LIVE AQUA 2 years previous and had a much better experience .

Dreams Macao Punta Cana – A Fantastic Family Vacation with Truly Exceptional Service||||We just returned from a one-week stay at Dreams Macao Punta Cana (booked through Air Canada Vacations), and it exceeded all expectations. The trip came in at around $9,500 for our family, and we truly felt like it was worth every dollar.||||We stayed in one of the beautiful villas right by the lazy river. It had high ceilings, two spacious bedrooms (one king, two queens), and three separate climate zones—huge bonus for keeping everyone comfortable. The location was perfect for our kids, who spent hours floating in the lazy river while we relaxed just steps away.||||||---||||Smooth Arrival & Preferred Club Perks||||From the moment we landed, the experience was seamless. An Air Canada Vacations rep was waiting to direct us straight to our shuttle, and we enjoyed a smooth, personalized check-in at the Preferred Club lounge on-site. Highly recommend upgrading—it made everything so much easier.||||||---||||Dining: Delicious, Varied, and Thoughtful Service||||The food was great overall, with lots of variety. While the buffet opens a bit later in the evening (something to note if you're traveling with young kids), there are plenty of à la carte restaurants to enjoy. Our personal favorites were the French restaurant (amazing rack of lamb and duck confit) and the Italian spot, where the osso buco was a standout.||||And we absolutely have to highlight the incredible service from our breakfast and lunch crew: Julio, Crisbel, Ofani, and Kelvin. These four remembered our drink orders by heart from the very first day—and had them ready before we even sat down. Always cheerful, always attentive. Their level of care made our meals feel extra special.||||||---||||Bring Cash – These Staff Deserve It!||||It’s worth calling out that the staff at Dreams Macao work incredibly hard, and their service goes far beyond what’s expected. Make sure to bring a stack of small bills so you can tip throughout your stay—it’s deeply appreciated and well-deserved.||||Waitstaff like Julio and his team are consistent, friendly, and remember the little things.||||Housekeeping kept our villa spotless, even providing thoughtful nightly turndown service.||||Mini-bar staff kept the fridge stocked daily with cold drinks and fresh water.||||Bellboys were efficient, kind, and helpful with every luggage request.||||And most of all, our butler Jimmy—what a star. He handled everything from reservations to coordinating our departure shuttle and even wrote a Spanish note for the restaurants to flag our daughter’s allergies. He made our experience effortless.||||||If you want to enjoy the best of what this resort offers, come prepared to tip generously. These amazing people make the magic happen.||||||---||||Beach & Pools – Relaxing and Hassle-Free||||The beach is beautiful—fine, soft sand with no rocks, and clear turquoise water. Yes, there were a few vendors and the occasional stray dog, but nothing disruptive. The pool areas are plentiful and never felt crowded. No need to wake up at 6 a.m. to “reserve” chairs—there were always spots available.||||||---||||Entertainment – Light, Fun, and Engaging||||The entertainment team kept things fun without ever being over-the-top. Special shout-out to Diamond, who brought great energy to the daily activities and made it easy to join in. His charisma kept the atmosphere light and fun all week.||||||---||||Hidden Gem: Coco Café||||Open 24 hours and packed with goodies, Coco Café became our go-to for everything from matcha lattes and iced coffees to ice cream and pastries. It’s a great option any time of day—or even at 2 a.m. if you're still on toddler time!||||||---||||Final Thoughts||||Dreams Macao Punta Cana is the full package: relaxing, family-friendly, and service-focused. Between the comfort of the villa, the beautiful pools and beach, the top-notch food, and the truly exceptional staff, we had an unforgettable experience. We left refreshed, well-fed, and genuinely grateful to the people who made it all so smooth.||||We’d absolutely return—and next time, we’re bringing even more tip money. These folks earn it. We
