Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana

The staff make this resort extra special. My sons especially loved entertainer Babyface IYKYK. The resort is clean & has plenty to do for every age. Food was nothing special but we always found something for everyone. The beach is great! We brought our two kids, 7 & 10, and they had a blast! Great family resort. Chairs by pools can be hard to come by on busy days. Beds were comfortable.

We came to Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana for a Valentine’s getaway, and it exceeded every expectation we had. Our butler, Adrian Valentin, was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for our experience truly stood out. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made us feel completely taken care of. We were honestly blown away by his thoughtfulness. We also want to recognize Willie at the private beach area for select members. The service there was just as exceptional—relaxed, welcoming, and first-class. Every team member we encountered throughout the resort was warm, attentive, and committed to making guests feel special. This was one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have had in a very long time. The atmosphere was romantic and peaceful, yet still vibrant and full of life. What surprised us most was how family-friendly the resort felt. As parents, we couldn’t help but think how perfect this place would be for our two young children. We’re already planning our return—next time with the kids. Thank you to the entire Dreams Macao team for an unforgettable Valentine’s experience. We can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I stayed at Dreams Macao the first week of February and despite a little bit of rain the weather was fantastic. The waves on the beach were too rough for swimming, but I feel they enhanced the quality of the scenery. It truly is a beautiful beach. The pool with the swim-up bar and the lazy river was where we spent most of our time. Both areas can get busy, but if you choose your spot early, say after breakfast, you are sure to have a good time. The best part about our stay was the friendly, efficient, and quality service provided by all of the staff at the resort. The dancers and entertainment team do an amazing job of bringing the fun. The bar and waitstaff were all attentive and prompt. Kenny, Cookie, Cristy, Babyface, and many others made us feel welcome and want to visit again. Would recommend.

Came here for a friend‘s wedding in January. The weather was perfect: sunny and warm. My boyfriend unfortunately sprained his ankle just before we left for our trip. However, the staff was completely accommodating and had a wheelchair and rolling walker available for him to use. Everyone at the resort was friendly and accommodating, especially at the restaurants and by the pools. Ligia and Oniel at the guest service counter were very patient and gave excellent customer service. The food was also fresh and delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a good time celebrating a friend‘s wedding here. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the weather and the amenities.

After having previously stayed at a Secrets resort in Jamaica, we decided to try out the Dreams Macao Beach in Punta Cana with our family. We opted for the Preferred Club and took advantage of some of the perks - such as the preferred club family pool - Rigoberto was great- as well as the beach area for preferred club guests - Willy Wonka went above and beyond! Our butler - Francisco was lovely and always able to help out. All of our requests were taken care of promptly and he managed to get us dinner reservations when asked. All that said, the resort felt a bit tired. Which is surprising for a resort that is less than 10years old. There were inconsistencies in the amenities in the rooms. Our room did not have an espresso machine until I found out other preferred club guests had one and asked for one. We also did not have an umbrella (which would’ve come in handy on our last evening when it torrential down-poured). Constantly had to ask for more towels (4 of us in the room, only 2 towels were provided). Little things… but they kinda all add up. The food was okay. The Italian restaurant was the best and my kids enjoyed the hibachi/teppanyaki. The taco truck was a favourite for lunch. Highly recommend the fish tacos. Would have been nicer to have different kids menus at the various à la carte restaurants. Kids enjoyed sporadically joining in with the explorers kids club and the staff there were amazing - Moana, Queen, Candy, Rainbow and Cuteness. Best part of the trip for our kids! 10/10! Was unfortunate that the evening entertainment didn’t start until 9:15pm - well later than expected for a family resort. Ultimately I couldn’t give a full 5 stars to this resort because there were some inconsistencies in service. No fault of the resort but the beach was not swimmable and genuinely looked quite dangerous during our stay. Food ranged from okay to good, but not great. Had a good week overall, but for the price we paid, our expectations were a little higher than what we received.

I had an amazing time here for my wedding with family and friends! Would highly recommend this resort for a group trip, it was fun for all ages and the perfect size. The wedding team - Marcibel, Candra, Evelyn, Kenny / adventure photography, Vladys flowers and Rafael / food staff were all incredible. I was blown away by the service & decor at my wedding, my hair and makeup, the pictures etc.||||We had great service on the resort, had a blast with the entertainment crew and at the disco (shout out to Jhony Bravo, Summer and Diana!). The food was very good for an all inclusive resort and the french restaurant was delicious. Don't miss the fish and beef tacos at the taco truck! I will have trouble going to a different resort without a waterpark and lazy river from now on.||||The resort was beautiful, and I loved being in a less busy area compared to other DR resorts. The waves at the beach were a little strong, maybe due to it being January, but as a strong swimmer I had so much fun playing in the waves. I also enjoyed all of the preferred club amenities. Go to this resort, you won't regret it!

Recently stayed at Dreams Macao Beach for a week stay with 9 family members. The overall trip was fantastic. The facilities were clean, modern and comfortable. The resort was large enough to feel grand, yet not too overwhelming in size. Meal options were better than expected. Our favorite part of the trip was the staff. So many key staff truly made this a memorable experience, especially for our 11 year old daughter. Victor, Baby Face and especially Diana (from the entertainment team) took to my daughter with a level of genuine care and excitement. These three really made the trip special for her! Another shout out to Omar, our butler. He took exceptional care of us too. Overall, the staff throughout the resort were incredible. The only bummer (for those who haven't visited the resort) is that the ocean was a bit rough which seems to be the reason why on-site water sports weren't an option. We did miss the ability for kayaking, pedal boats, snorkeling, and paddle boarding that we do enough at other resorts. The pools were great, but we didn't get much ocean time in.

Went for a wedding and had a great experience overall. The wedding itself was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable with excellent bathrooms, and there were plenty of activities to enjoy. The food was quite decent, though the wine was average to slightly below average. That said, I was unable to use one night of my stay due to weather-related flight issues, and both the hotel and the travel agency have pointed fingers at each other regarding any sort of credit or partial refund. For a resort of this caliber, the lack of flexibility or customer care in a no-fault situation was disappointing and left a bad taste after an otherwise lovely experience
