Beautiful resort, short ride from the airport. We were on the preferred side, and Emmanuel was our concierge. He was wonderful and helped us throughout our stay. The food was great at all the restaurants. The beach was okay, we didn't spend much time there, too many vendors walking the beach asking to buy things, so avoided it as much as possible. August is also the season for sargassum, so I already expected the beach not to be clear, but the resort did a good job of clearing it every day. The pools were great as well. The temperature was perfect and not too warm. Loved the "lazy" river pool. You could walk around the whole thing and find quiet spots to relax. Also, with being preferred, you get access to the preferred area seating only and have your own bar with premium alcohol. Also you must find Delores at the Grotta bar and around the pool to try one of her famous Tiki Tiki's!|Definitely will be returning for another trip soon!

This was beautiful resort for a quick last minute vacation. The staff were lovely!! Dolores & Luis at the Grotto bar are amazing!!! Food options were plentiful and almost all of the restaurants were open every day. (Portofino was closed for a private event one day) If you want a pool chair at the main pool you have to be an early bird! But there are so many different places/ pool areas available. Overall we had a great time and would recommend a visit to Dream Royal Beach.

Just returned from a week long day with our family of five. This was our third Dreams resort. First time in DR. Booked preferred club in the new area. It was beautiful and quieter than other areas of the resort. Our room was comfortable and housekeeping consistently good. Our concierge was very friendly but we just didn’t ask him to do much of anything for us. Shuttle service from Preferred Club to the main resort was convenient but often required a 10-15 minute wait. The walk through the mangrove natural area was beautiful. Restaurants overall were as expected. Loved the Portofino experience with the buffet offerings for first course and dessert. Fusion was empty except for the hibachi tables and service was a little slow. Seaside Grill was a great location on the beach. Oceana had great seafood choices. Highly recommend the cold seafood platter. Tres Colores was also very good. Ate lunch at World Cafe twice. It gets crowded but the food was better than expected and included sushi one day. The tempura veggies and calamari were a hit there. The highlight for us was our mornings at the Preferred Club breakfast buffet. The staff were exceptional. Food was consistently good. Nice relaxed environment. Drinks at all restaurants were better quality than other all-inclusives. Entertainment was great at night - shows were a lot of fun. Missed out on poolside entertainment during the day mostly due to the layout. We loved the new Preferred Club side pools - very relaxing and less crowded. Our kids enjoyed the Explorer’s Club. They provided a cellphone to call us when they wanted to be picked up. All in all, a great experience and we would recommend to others!

Just arrived back from 9 days here and loved it. We stayed in the preferred club part away from the main resort in a pool terrace room onto the lazy river. The room was great and being able to walk out straight onto a terrace with a pool was amazing. The preferred club area was about a 10 minute walk from the main resort over a wooden bridge through a lake and mangrove forest. The service overall was good and generally as long as you are not over demanding and prepared to wait your turn its no problem at all. We found as the time went on the staff recognised us and they were friendly and keen to help. The food selection overall was good however sometimes the a la cart restaurants felt a bit limited in terms of choice. The buffet was great and one of the best we have had. Pools are great with plenty of loungers as long as you arrive at a reasonable time if you want a spot front and centre. We moved about between pools during the days and always found somewhere to setup. Overall had a great time and would love to come back again.

We just spent 6 days at the preferred club room. We had great experience. We tried almost all restaurants and after couple days already had our favorites. Steaks are great. Pizza is really good (as Europeans living in the USA it's more of a European style pizza so if you like the greasy one from USA you will not like it). Picaña and chicken jerk at the On a Roll Preferred Burger Bar. Fish tacos at Seaside grill were really good too. World Cafe buffet for breakfast and omelets were awesome. Same for Oceana's Osso Buco. As for the service - tip before you get served. We noticed that changes everything. These are very hard working people (we've seen the same people everyday working from early morning to late night) with low salaries unfortunately. That's the reality of DR. We did a lot of research and understood were it's coming from. Our concierge Mayker was on top of everything. Sending us all necessary information each day in the morning and making sure all our requests (restocking shampoo etc) were met. Housekeeping was there everyday and they really took their time. The beach was full of algae - but that is not the hotel's fault. Pools are nice and clean and there's plenty of space to swim. They wash all the beds on the beach everynight. Big shot outs to Yira - a hostess at the reataurants for noticing our son's needs and ordering his food right away after we just got seated. Our drinks orders were often mixed up and we ended up getting more than we asked for but that's because of language limitations. Also thanks to Nelson for always being on top of our drinks making sure we have something to drink. Everyone were super friendly to our 6 years old kiddo. They don't smile to you and great you as enthusiastically like they do in the US but again - it's different culture. And great thanks to the lady at the Dolce Cafe who's name I unfortunately don't remember. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is the moldy smell of the rooms. Not sure where it was coming from, but that's the only thing that would really need improvement somehow.

We had an amazing two-week stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The resort is beautifully self-contained, very well equipped, and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday.||||The staff are outstanding—always friendly, attentive, and quick to help. A special mention to Billy, who resolved a broadband issue for us instantly. The food was excellent throughout, with plenty of variety, and we honestly couldn’t fault it.||||The only downside was the condition of the beach water during our stay, but of course that’s something outside of the hotel’s control.||||We met some wonderful people, enjoyed every moment, and are already planning to come back next year. We’d highly recommend Dreams Royal Beach to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday in Punta Cana.

Worth every penny! Every time was so attentive at all times, hibachi dinner was the best for us! Room service was awesome! Dominican breakfast is a must! Super clean, always stocked, you will always have a drink in hand at all times lol loved it! Kids entertainment at night time was amazing! The night shows are a must! Food at the Buffett was ok! Sad we couldn’t do the beach because so much seaweed but the pools were GREAT’ water park area amazing for the kids especially! I must say, is so very important to keep in mind these people also live off tips as well! As a Dominican myself I always keep in mind how important it is to tip especially when you receive such GREAT service and welcoming energy! It sucked to see how people (tourist) wouldn’t even bother showing these people some type of gratitude tipping wise! They won’t ask nor treat you any differently but BELIEVE me you once you set the tone you will know what I mean! + they earn every penny! We brought change in 1’s 5’s and 10’s and are more than happy with how it was distributed! Nothing adds up to feeling like you are helping others while they are doing their jobs! Oh and ps. A $1 is not enough for them to even get a bag of chips just keep that in mind! ||||Overall we stood for a week and already miss it! THANK YOU all again for the amazing hospitality! We’ll be back very soon!
