Our stay last weekend for my cousin's wedding was amazing. Service was incredible. I liked the room. The food was serviceable. I want to especially highlight that, Rosendo, the bartender at the preferred pool, is singularly the best. Friendly, quick, and makes infinite amazing drinks. This man is a treasure. Shout out, too, to Jose.

This was an incredible resort. My husband and I were blown away with the resort itself, the food and the staff. The food and drinks were incredible, we never went hungry or thirsty. Omar at the preferred pool was very kind and attentive. All the bartenders were incredible. They were very experienced and all very personable, it was incredible watching them work the bar so seamlessly. The spa was incredible, highly recommend getting a treatment. Overall our experience was amazing, I highly recommend this resort to anyone.

We absolutely loved our stay. The friendly staff and great amenities were the best part. We made friends with two amazing bartenders - Carlos the king of the sports bar and Leo the king of the lobby bar! They were such nice people and provided excellent service! Always with a smile :) Our room was cleaned daily and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed all of the restaurants and portions were filling. I loved the layout of this resort, all open air and lots of cute wildlife. We will definitely be recommending this resort to family & friends

This resort is absolutely amazing. The best part of everything is that you do not have people hounding you to sign up for timeshares or anything else that will make you flush your money down the toilet. The friendliest staff i have ever encountered. If you go to the buffet make sure you sit in Francisco’s and Alberto’s area, these guys are not just hilarious they also provide excellent service. Make sure you tip your servers. Even though it’s all inclusive the servers are absolutely amazing.

If you want a kid friendly environment, this is the resort to go to. If you want a resort that is gated from the outside of the resort, this is the resort to go to. It cost $95 for a round trip visit to venture out from the resort because you can't get anywhere by walking. It's pretty far off the main roads. I would not waste your money on being a Preferred guest. For an extra $200, you get to go to the Preferred lounge, which is really no different than going to the bar for everyone else. Everything was scattered around the resort. Put your walking shoes on! The best thing about this resort is, the workers are very nice and the food was good.

The trip started with it being very disappointing. We booked the Dreams for our 20th Anniversary! Roughly a week before we arrived we received information from Sanchez, Gerardo Saying he could upgrade out rooms to Indigo for $1020 and this would take place of our other reservation. We asked him several times is this in place of and we will not pay any additional when we arrive. He confirmed that he could save us money by booking through him. We called back to confirm additional time and confirmed that this reservation we were not paying this on top of anything and we would owe nothing when we got there. Gerardo was not honest and looking to make money that day: When checking in we had to pay what we booked online plus the upgrade. Would mistake in not emailing it for confirmation. Really sad they supposedly could not contact him and management would do nothing to accommodate the situation. Main reason we would recommend another resort in the area. Our plan was to see if we would bring the entire family back to this resort and honestly we would not. Indigo upgrade provides an ocean view with spa ( not a spa and is a bathtub that did not work while in it) rooftop pool, breakfast restaurant, bar and restaurant that was very nice if it is not windy. The pool is actually heated and very enjoyable. The food is a lot better than the buffet. Restaurants were average quality of food and any meat was really bad. We do not come for the food, it when you are unable to cut the meat with a knife it is impossible to eat. All the chicken is really dry and beef is extremely tough. Almost every restaurant was 1-1:45min wait and could not eat till almost 8:30-9pm every night. The staff was really friendly at all the restaurants. It appears like they are really short staffed and usually empty tables at all times in restaurants. Three nights they did serve tacos in the lobby which was very nice. The buffet was really cold food and bad. The preferred pool was so cold it was almost impossible to get into the pool. The resort needs to get a handle on the animals. Around the pool they will steal your food and afraid of the people and if you get food from the outside but the birds will swoop and take it off your plate. We like to give an honest review so others know what to expect. The upgrade is worth the price, but the cost of the resort would not be worth the price. It would have been more disappointing if we did not upgrade.

We love this resort. It was our first time here after becoming a Hyatt property. We stayed in the brand new Indigo building and it was worth every penny! Indigo has an adult only heated pool, private bar, sushi bar and private restaurant. The only downfall was we could never get into the specialty restaurants. We were never available to go right when they opened, and then it was over an hour wait to get in from there. However, the buffet is pretty decent for a resort and even had many "make to order" stations. One night they did a beautiful Mexican buffet in the common areas, which was really good!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The Service was good. Staff was very nice and attentive. The service at Coco Cafe was amazing and coffee was good. But I would like to mention some downsides that we didn't like. First Gala Dinners that were 3 times a week, where you had to sit at the table with strangers and it was really croweded and the variety of food was not the same as at the regular buffet Dinners. Another thing restaurants. In 2 weeks we didn't get to try any of them. Since all the restaurants first come first serve, they were always booked up and with the little kid, we couldn't wait for a long time, so we just gave up the idea to dine there.. The last downside is the beach. If you come for the Ocean and beach, this place is not for you. It was always full of sea weed and the water was dirty with plastic and other garbage, not pleasant at all. The sea weed was awful, it was not really cleaned and the water was not clear. I got stung several times by a jelly fish. Was not very pleasant experience. With all that, we still enjoyed and had a nice vacation.

Yelp
Day / Night 1 ... Service is excellent and this resort is lovely. Check-in was easy and room is comfortable with an ocean view TIP: the Portofino restaurant is no where near real Italian food. (That's ok, we just laughed) Day / Night 2 ... We spent the day bar hopping in the resort , had an excellent breakfast at the seaside grill - the orange juice in Mexico is freshly squeezed and absolutely delicious. We played cards & drank rum in the afternoon due to rainy weather & after it stopped, we ventured out for some walking , a light lunch at the barefoot grill and dinner at Bordeaux was fabulous. And filling! Day / Night 3 The Chichen Itza Excursion booked through Amstar ... loooooong day. We boarded the tour bus at 7:45am and got back to our resort at 8:30pm - what a GREAT experience - please see details of that trip in another review. The local lunch in Pisté was amazing. Day / Night 4 We ate at the seaside grill again for breakfast then walked the whole beach, up and down "resort alley" ~ sand is white and soft and there are some cool deserted resorts along the way. So interesting. Sun was stunning, lunch at the World Cafe buffet was super delicious and very filling! More drinks. Played tennis and then relaxed and rested at the adult pool for a couple of lovely hours. So relaxing and quiet with a bar and chill music. Day 5 - catching a shuttle for our 1215 flight back home ... hope travel back to USA is smooth. What a fantastic trip. I'll post photos soon. This hotel is very nice with plenty of space and amenities and they do an excellent job accommodating everyone and keeping things very clean and tidy. Way to go Hyatt!

Yelp
Our visit to Dreams Sapphire Resort was so disappointing. The worst part was the food but the cleaning services and amenities were also lacking. FOOD (1/5): The food was awful. Do not come here if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. There were hardly any vegetarian options and I assume nothing was vegan. There was awful cross contamination and my cousin ate a "cheese pizza" but there was a chunk of pork in it. We confirmed it was a cheese pizza with the chef. My cousin is religious and vegetarian so this was so disappointing. All of the desserts were extremely dry and disgusting. Some of my relatives even said the meat and fish was very bad. One night we decided to try their Italian restaurant, as opposed to their buffet, and it was awful. They took us 30 minutes after our reservation. We waited an hour for a pizza that looked like it was cooked in an easy bake oven. SERVICE (4/5): Workers were generally very pleasant and helpful. They would strike up conversations and allow us to practice our Spanish with them! CLEANLINESS (2/5): My room felt so disgusting. It was always humid and the pillows smelled like mildew for the entirety of our trip. One day the cleaning ladies woke us up at 7am. Another day they didn't clean our room until 8pm. Another day they took all of our hand and face towels so we had to use our large towels to dry our hands and face. AMENITIES (3/5): There are two pools; the adult pool was nice but we were often bored. There is really nothing to do. The one shop they have is extremely overpriced. It costs $40 for a bottle of sunscreen. The resort is also somewhat isolated so you cannot go explore the town or anything else. Would not recommend staying for more than 2 nights. OVERALL (2/5): Would not recommend.

Yelp
Came here for a destination wedding. The wedding itself was as beautiful as can be. They used the preferred swimming pool as the reception area so the blue ambient lighting in the background was gorgeous. The ceremony was by the beach and that was lovely too. My review is for the rest of the facilities. So somehow I got preferred status (can't remember how--must've signed up somehow) which basically means you get your own preferred bar, check in area, etc. Got a room very close to the restaurants---lower number means closer...you don't want to be walking a mile just to eat lol. Rooms were decent, tad dated, but clean. We had our own mini fridge that was refilled daily with alcohol and soft drinks. Very nice touch. The "garden view" is basically a view of the bushes/trees between your room and the walkways...nothing bad but its not really a view. Why only 3 stars? Well for starters. Phone in the room was broken. I was trying to call the front desk about dinner reservations to the teppan place and I couldn't. Went to the front desk and the guy tried to help me book it from my app and couldn't either so he said he would send someone to fix it. Nobody ever came. Ran into him 2 days later and he asked about my broken phone--nope still wasn't fixed. Booking the teppan was a whole ordeal--I went from my room phone to the app to the restaurant hostess who directed me to the front desk and they directed me back to the hostess. I just wanna book a freaking spot at the table--how hard is it?! Food. One of the most important things I look at. The Japanese restaurant was seriously mediocre at best. I mean, I get it...we're in Mexico. Teppan grill was horrid. Meat was overdone and dry like the Sahara--we all took a few bites and gave up--although I had overheard our real chef had called out so they got some random replacement guy who really gave no $hits. French restaurant was alright. Buffet was fine but none of the food really wowed me. I only ate to fill my stomach. Most of the staff we encountered were also very nice and pleasant. With the exception of one guy at the buffet. We were even able to book a really cool snorkeling and cenote excursion which was awesome. Overall, the resort is fine--good for families. Great for destination weddings because we saw multiple weddings every night. Theres not a ton of activities to do onsite, but beach is fine, pools are clean and nice. Lots of random animals in the trees that were super cute. Overall, just not quite a 5 star resort if you know what I mean.

Yelp
Came here for a destination wedding. Check in was a breeze I was part of the preferred club and I had a very nice room. I decided to extend my stay and everything went well. Buffet food - find what you like and eat that. Don't expect incredible things here the food I selected was good and I'd be paying a ton for that in the states (STONE CRAB I think I shut the place down lol) I found myself fond of most of the pastas and chili and brisket and rice! Amenities. It's all inclusive the staff here was above and beyond and more specifically I had the great pleasure of meeting LIZ! What a wonderful woman! She went above and beyond for all my dining needs and more! Her positive energy stood out and she is a happy girl who loves the people she's sees daily I would say please find Liz she will take care of you from start to finish! Truly felt like part of the family, thank you. The wedding - spectacular! What a DREAM come true! Absolutely pleasant start to finish the staff was incredible, and immaculate! Thank you!

Yelp
We stayed here for a week the beginning of November 2024. It was amazing and all inclusive. The pools were great and always had some fun activities going. At night they would have a variety of different shows, games and dancing. The food wasn't the best but it was good enough for all inclusive. They have a little taco stand at night and they killed it. All ten of us would eat those every night. Probably the best tacos I've ever had. The employees are more than amazing and so helpful and friendly. We definitely drank a lot and got to know the bar tenders at the lobby bar. Hugo Ephrain panchito and Leonardo at the lobby bar were the best. Also David and his crew at the pool bar made it a blast to sit out talk with them. They have a variety of animals around the resort that are cool to watch. They are wild but friendly. The beach was nice and kept clean. The water was clean and warm. Are room was a jungle view on the ground floor. It was very clean and the ac worked great with a big quiet ceiling fan. Housekeeping does a fabulous job. They would ford towels and whatnot into different shapes daily and my daughter loved it. I know it is part of the employees jobs to be hospitable but they go above and beyond. We would go back in a heartbeat. We also had my brothers wedding and it was very well done. Top notch.

Yelp
I stayed at this resort due to a wedding I was attending. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I've traveled the world and hands down worst customer service, disgusting food, and more like a 2 star resort but with a 5 star price. The first night a/c didn't work, sink wasn't draining properly, my roommates sheets smelled like mildew, staff was rude, upgrade paid for was not provided, and honestly outright liars. Although they did respond to a/c promptly, when I voiced my complaint about the other room conditions to front desk they claimed they were going to send us a bottle of wine (although a bottle of wine was already supposed to be part of the upgrade and it's an all-inclusive resort...) they never sent it. We went to front desk multiple times and when I eventually saw I was getting nowhere with front desk I emailed world of Hyatt directly. I received a response that they had resolved all our issues according to their system and I was provided a bottle of wine. That never happened, so staff are disturbingly entering into a system issues as resolved that are not, which means they are lying and committing fraud. I also paid for a preferred room for last night but was never given that room or access and when I requested I be refunded room difference, they said there was no difference. I cannot express enough how terrible this place was and how poor the customer service. Do yourself a favor to avoid disappointment and stay at the Moon Palace. This place was no better than a roadside motel with buffet breakfast included, the only redeeming quality was it's tropical location which is no credit to resort itself just happens to be a beautiful location. Oh and the pillows were as hard as punching bags. I use to box and I literally could've strung up the pillows and gotten a great kickboxing workout in. Worse place I've stayed for the amount of money that was paid. 5 star is laughable.

Yelp
Went for a destination wedding. A big facility with multiple restaurants that you have to make a reservation at a lot of different places to eat for breakfast breakfast big assortment of foods they had meat that you could make to order the hotel was nice. We ordered from Service. It never came only partially I should say what I did not like is they just dropped it off in the room and nobody was there. I asked to speak to the general manager I never received a call back the service was pretty good for the most part. I tipped the housekeeping in one day I forgot to tip them. I only use the service twice out of a week and they shorted our linens so the linens came down to our rib cage so it's kind of hard to pull the blankets up to your shoulder I guess because I didn't tip them so that was a little annoying. It was my fault that I did not tip but I would've made up for it. I usually tip very well even though it's all inclusive they work really hard for their money and I tipped them 20%, a dollar for every time I would order a drink and I noticed a lot of people don't tip at all. They have a shuttle service which you have to pay for. It came early so we had to stay at the airport longer than we really needed to Security is really good you can't check in unless you have information of your reservation, the beach was OK. It was kind of narrow and there was a lot of seaweed so we didn't really go in the water. We went to the spa. They did a complementary Hydro massage and we added on a Service a pedicure where they have these little fish chew off your dry skin on your legs and your feet. I had a pedicure prior to my trip, and I really did not notice a difference After the pedicure they massage you that was nice tipped the girl $20 and my boyfriend didn't realize I tipped so he tipped her another $15 but I guess that's OK because they do really work hard further money and she was very nice. Would I revisit the location? I would probably have to say no just because I like to get out and explorer and since we were there for a wedding party we stayed at the hotel almost the whole time and you can only see so much we try to do a snorkeling expedition, but unfortunately the water was choppy so that was canceled. They also have a swim up. The drinks are very weak. They have live entertainment at the pool was very loud. I was hoping to find some more peace and tranquility. They had a really cool little bar It was located by the ocean and they had swings that were at the bar really not a lot of them to swim but it was a cute idea. The things that they did when we arrived we had a refrigerator stacked with a bottle of tequila pop potato chips water that was complementary we didn't really use room service but I guess you could do that 24 seven what other Guest were saying is that there was a two hour wait, we had a hot tub off of our balcony overlooking the ocean and below us on the first floor were through sweets that were attached to a swimming pool. I walked down the beach to look at the other resorts. They were really nice. I don't think I'm really a resort type of person. If I can't leave we did go into town. Once we took a catamaran and they took us to an island. The water was really choppy in the water was blowing on us, and it was very very cold, so we went to the other part of the boat and one inside And I was getting a little motion sickness they offered unlimited drinks and a little tray of food, which was just average. One thing that was concerning about the buffets was, they had a lot of meat and seafood that were just sitting out on ice, but because the weather was so hot, it melted so I wonder how up to cold it was and I was a little leery eating that they had live entertainment all the time they had this one area that was kind of cool it had a theater and you could do karaoke they had live entertainment, depending on the night and then in the main dining room they had these Headsets that you would put on and you could choose two different types of music and it was kind of cool cause people would just dance to both of those. If you do go, please take care of your servers they work really hard at the wedding reception that we attended I remember this one attended. I just asked him for a cup of ice and I gave him a dollar and it looked like I gave him $100 by the expression on his face .

Yelp
Overall, this was a nice, family friendly resort. I just think we got the short end of the stick. ROOMS This was our biggest regret/complaint. We paid for an oceanfront swim out room (and were a preferred member). We were given the absolute furthest room from the resort that faced what looked like an abandoned building and gazebo (building six). It was angled to show a side-view of the ocean (see photo), and there were events outside our private pool, so swimming at night was awkward. We didn't complain, b/c we didn't know otherwise until the last day we were there. There are five other buildings (2-5) that have gorgeous swim outs that actually FACE the ocean with chairs/huts outside the room. We couldn't even get to the beach from our room. We were disappointed that we paid the SAME price as those beautiful rooms on the beach, and were given a "terrible" view. RESTAURANTS Best restaurant from our experience was Himitsue (and hibachi). Staff and food were amazing and we never had a wait. They told us at check in your don't need a reservation, but plan to wait at least an hour for most sit-downs (aside from the buffet and Mexican). Buffet was "ok" - and we didn't like the Mexican restaurant at all. We were part of the preferred club which had top-shelf liquor, but the apps/food was always sitting out and not enticing. We tried getting into Portifino (italian) twice and the wait was over an hour. POOL We'd recommend splurging on the cabanas at the pool. $55 a day and so worth it for the service, shade and not having to fight for chairs (which were taken at 7 a.m. every morning). The water/shoreline wasn't that aqua blue, and there was a ton of seaweed, so it was not swimmable. Water slides were a nice amenity for younger kids, but they weren't very fast and you'd get "stuck" on them. The entertainment staff was amazing! Always had an activity going and were very interactive w/out being annoying. ENTERTAINMENT Terrible and so amateur. First night was a circus theme and very amateur. Second was karaoke which was fun, but lots of kids which got old. Third was a magic show which was like watching a middle-school talent show. Many people walked out it was so terrible. They definitely need to replace this guy who calls himself a magician. Overall, I'd recommend this resort if someone asked my opinion. It was nice for kids and the cleanliness and service were very nice. Our room experience just left a bad taste in our mouth.

Yelp
This resort is family friendly and has activities for everyone of all ages. It is a moderate size resort. They also have a preferred club which has a more calm and private (smaller) pool for those who enjoy a quieter setting. The resort itself is beautiful and very clean. The staff does an amazing job of maintaining it and keeping it clean. There is also 24/7 security. My fiancé and I walked around at 4am and there was security available around the resort. There are also cameras as well. The entertainment staff is fantastic. They really go above and beyond to keep the energy high and get people involved. I personally love loud music and absolutely enjoyed their playlists at the main pool. The room my fiancé and I stayed in was spacious. I saw comments about the AC not being strong enough and I somewhat agree however it's not deal breaker. The AC is constantly running, it did not go below 22 Celsius but it's doable. House keeping comes twice a day - a deep clean during the day and then a restock on towels and gets the room cozy and ready for a good night of sleep. There is a mini fridge in the room that has different drinks that are also restocked daily. Ugh! The hard part for me.. the food was not good. It's edible and unfortunately this was the downfall for me. Overall the food is a 2 star in my opinion. They do tacos at the main pool daily from 1pm until they are out and that was my favorite meal the entire time. I highly recommend getting them. Okay.. everyone.. please be kind... there was a lot of impatient people and I wish the vacationers appreciated the staff more. The staff truly does the best they can and goes above and beyond for their guests. Long lines for food should be expected so please please be more patient and understanding. I saw comments about the sea weed problem and yes, there is seaweed however that's everywhere in the area. I noticed the beaches being cleaned multiple times a day. There's only so much the staff can do about Mother Nature so I personally don't see how anyone can blame the seaweed issue on the staff. My fiancé and I walked along the beach and to different resorts to compare and there were resorts that had more seaweed. It's out of anyone's control. I recommend using Amstar for transportation. They were on time and the shuttles look brand new. You are able to set up this transportation directly via the dreams website. Shout out to every single person working at this resort! You all did amazing and we really felt at home during our stay. Thank you so much!

Yelp
We had our wedding here. It was absolutely perfect! Carmen Martinez, our wedding planner, went above and beyond. Planning the wedding was so easy and the day of the wedding was stress free! It was spectacularly beautiful! The staff was so accommodating and made the overall experience wonderful! Our guests had an amazing time! The amenities, shows, food and pools were fantastic! The people below made our day amazing and I could not be happier with our wedding or this resort! Yelp
The resort is wonderful! Facilities are kept clean and organized, the entertainment team is incredible - Manuel especially. The service staff is delightful and made a great experience even better - Francisco, Rodrigo and Eduardo in the breakfast buffet were A-List and spoiled us. 10/10 would recommend and come back.

Yelp
Well where do we begin. When you are checking this place out to visit remember there is a bar to hold Cancun at. It's hot it's humid and everything will always be overpriced for tourism. So understand you can get a lot more for a trip to somewhere like PV or Cabo. Let's roll through the good and the bad of the resort. It's older it doesn't have the amenities a newer resort will have, the A/c unit in our 2 bedroom beach swim up suite did not stay cool during the day and the pools are warm not cold. So there is no escaping the heat. I would look for a newer resort. Trip advisor gave them a top 10 rating and I don't know why at all. Preferred club if you travel here if after the warning pay the extra and get this as a part of your stay it's worth it. There is one place on the resort the a/c is cranked and the drinks are not watered down and that's the preferred club. The food- I like culture, I like being immersed in it and there is none here. It's the sizzler without the cheese bread. It all just lacks quality, a lot of frozen food and tough to chew meats. We even opted for the big private chef dinner, that was the best meal we had there and it was 75 a couple extra. It was ok tasting nothing special and the steak was tough. You do get a hefty portion of food and you got sushi, tuna, lobster, steak and shrimp. If you do book it make sure you check in after booking or you will lose the reservation. The Booze- everywhere you go it's all watered down cheap alcohol except the preferred club. They have fun drinks and will let the kids sit at the bar but as you order your drinks it's a lot of sugar and syrup and not a lot of alcohol. My advice order shots and beer if you're wanting to not get overloaded on sugar or drinks and catch a buzz The beach- it's smelly with brown water and seaweed everywhere. It's typical Cancun unless you get a boat and travel you won't see the tropical green water around here The spa- it was nice it was ok nothing overwhelming but ok. The price for a couple massage was 300 dollars which seemed pricy for the service The staff- polite and accommodating, there is definitely a language barrier with some things but in the end the staff is why there is any stars. They do a great job and are always busy. The bartenders and servers were always moving to try and keep everyone going. Restaurants- They were hot and the food is ok but you can tell the buildings and place is getting old. There were birds and bugs in the rooms and even the expensive teppanyaki place had a beetle running across the table trying not to become one of the 5 course meals lol Rooms- our friends had a regular swim up suite we had the two bedroom and if it's more than two people I'd recommend spending the money it's well worth it. Our room took two to fix the lights in the patio area so we could see at dark. The pool lights never worked in our room which isn't that bad but our kid didn't like swimming in the dark so he had to swim by the other rooms at night. We did have what I think we're ants on the table each morning we would wake up to and we asked the hotel about it but it was never resolved. Conclusion- we used points to pay for our entire trip and got pretty big discounts through delta and Amex. The cost of an ordinary trip with flights and a week stay in the room we had would have cost the ordinary family around 6,000 dollars. In my opinion take the 6,000 and go to Cabo and have a few thousand left to spend and travel and play with it's overpriced for the age of the resort and quality of the stay. Would I come back again, no I would not.

Great views, amazing staff, food is what you expect for an all-inclusive, a lot of activities to do. It's a 'family resort' but we had fun as two single girls drinking at the pools. (I don't think there is any night-life? Didn't really look too hard) Loved the staff! Immediately upon arriving we were great by Erik (or Eric?), who was great! Marcos encouraged us to play volleyball & do other activities, and we did bc Marcos was very fun Great bartenders, specifically Juan at the adult pool and Pedro at the main pool! Room service is convenient (food is okay) Was hard to leave this vacation!

Yelp
Not really impressed with my stay here at Dreams Sapphire in Cancun! To start, I have been visiting all-inclusive for several years so I am not new to this experience. I know what to expect and I know what experience I am looking for. Dreams Sapphire is packaged as this amazingly beautiful all-inclusive resort but it's very basic at minimum. I would not recommend to first time all-inclusive vacationers. You will be disappointed and leave with zero confidence in all-inclusive resorts and I just want to make it clear that Dreams Sapphire does not set the bar and should not be compared to others. - Property - is just okay. If you are visiting this tropical destination and want to see/feel like you are where you are, Dreams will provide you with that at first sight. But there is so much that is outdated about this property that makes it less impressive in person than what is shown online. There are so many updates needed to this property to measure up to others in Cancun & surrounding areas. The pathways are extremely dark at night making it hard to actually see where you are going. There are local rodents (coatis) roaming around the grounds digging in trash bins and even out during the day near guest laying out by the pool. I understand these rodents may be harmless to humans but it is horrible that they are freely roaming around and guest cannot enjoy their relaxing time without the animals squealing and searching for food in packs. My aunt was here to celebrate her 60th birthday and her room was on the ground floor with a "tropical" view of bushes that the rodents live under. She could not open her door for fresh air or to sit out on her patio as they were all over that area and even jumping on the chairs. Not ok. Beach view isn't great but that isn't the fault of the resort. Mother Nature is simply doing what it does. - Food - horrible. Every meal we had was just ok. No meal wow'd us or had us going to back to the lines for more food. Everything was cold and the options were very limited. The main buffet was setup in what appeared to be a reception/banquet hall. Very very very weird for this. Most resorts have actual restaurants on site that food is setup. Even buffet. So I was a bit confused to see the weird food setup inside of a banquet hall. No real structure. There is one food/grill by the pool which has snacks during lunch time and this is even oddly placed, the food is outside in the sun and still cold with limited options to choose from. Overall, food is a big deal at all-inclusive resorts and we were extremely disappointed in the options offered here. - Room - the rooms are decent. This is probably one of my favorite parts of the resort as they are very spacious and seemed to be very clean. Only complaint is my group (12 of us) were all paying for the same style rooms but were all placed in different buildings. - Activities/NightLife - meh. Not many evening activities after the pool close. We seen that they offer a few shows but nothing that kept us interested and excited each day. After showering and dinner, there is not much else to do at this resort. Many other resorts have grand shows to see with really good music/performances etc but Dreams Sapphire does not offer much of this. I would basically say after pool/drinks/dinner for the day, expect to be in bed or find activities that you can be shuttled to that are OFF of the resort. Because there isn't much else going on to keep you entertained. - Staff - best part of the resort. The staff at Dreams is amazing. Everyone is nice and everyone is trying to do their job the best way they can and with the rules they are being told to follow. So staff is not an issue here. Not even a little. I had a pleasant experience with all of the staff from the check-in, bars, grill, maintenance, room service and spa. They were all amazing people who were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you all! Overall, I am not impressed with my stay at Dreams Sapphire and I will never stay at this resort again nor any of the affiliated resorts. I'm sorry but this wasn't what it could have been and I'm glad this wasn't a dream destination/resort of a lifetime or I'd be extremely upset.

Yelp
Best part is the adult pool. The waiter and bar tender are super attentive at the adult pool. Also really quiet and not crowded like the main pool. The rooms are okay, slightly run down. Sometimes housekeeping comes really late, like when we needed to get ready for an evening activity, so we had to skip it one day. We also didn't get the daily fridge refill that was advertised in our package. The food was okay, nothing special, sort of bland. Room service was really small portions. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Super responsive on the app if you need anything. Spa was clean. The different water pools were nice and relaxing. Overall- Didn't hate it, but didn't stand out.

Yelp
Only reason not 5 stars was the food quality. It was not terrible by any means, but wasnt like "oh my god". However, the service was great and made up for the food instantly. Eduardo in the cafe was awesome. He would literally see me and come out and greet me and take me to my same table for the whole week. The entertainment staff was top notch. Martha and Regina were very nice and always had a great attitude, and involved everyone they could. My wife really enjoyed the yoga classes, Zumba, and water aerobics. All the bartenders were great and friendly. We were there for a wedding and was really impressed with the attention to detail, and the efforts the team put into the event. By far the best service and attitudes from a resort/hotel that I have ever experienced. From all over the resort. Everyone had a smile and said hello and followed up every "thank you" with a "my pleasure". And It never sounded forced or fake. If I had to critique anything: 1. Would be the amount of time it took to check in when we arrived. from the time we arrived and walked up to lobby, it took an hour to get our key cards. Granted, it could have been that day and short people, but once again the attitude and service when we got to counter made up for it again. 2. A easier way to make reservations at the restaurants for dinner time. Never had an issue for breakfast or lunch, but dinner was tough a couple times. 3. Maybe since pool closes at an earlier time, there are some activities or something for the kids to do. 4. And this isn't the resorts fault, but the ocean didn't look great and had the usual build up of seaweed, that doesn't give off the best aroma. But did see the staff make a steady attempt to clean up the seaweed off the beach. OVERALL, it was a very enjoyable experience, and would come back and recommend to people for sure.

Yelp
This place was so beautiful. I have some amazing pictures there. The people who worked there were amazing. They were the nicest people ever. Always there to help and if you had any questions. Gabby at the pool side was so sweet and prompt. She always made sure we were loaded with drinks and she had fun with us. The entertainment squad was hilarious and you could tell loved what they do. They were there all day every day. One thing about Mexico during April- August is the bad smell of seaweed. If you can bypass those months, I would because it is so strong. Made me gag a few times. They did have people on the beach trying to scoop up as much as they could but it was so much out there. The rooms were nice. Very spacious. The view from the balcony was a bunch of trees. Not a good view from where we were, but probably because that was the path that people walked along and they didn't want people seeing in. The mosquitos kept getting in our room. We got bit just about everyday. Not sure how they kept getting in our room. We had to buy bug spray and it cream. The pool area was magnificent. We stayed at the pool our whole stay. It was big enough to where you were never on top of people. There was also a swim up bar in the pool. Can't beat that. We stayed there too . The gift store was available but so high!! A large bag of chips was $11. We wanted them bad enough to get them and it was the best $11 bag of chips. We made sure we ate every crumb lol. Loved this place and will definitely go back if on another trip to Cancun!

Yelp
Hotel experience was good. I enjoyed the buffet, restaurants, and bars. The all inclusive deal is definitely worth it and booking preferred or more helps with the lounge access and room services. The food options were great; plenty restaurants to choose from. Activities were held daily and concierge helped book tours for those wanting to leave the hotel. We wished the seaweed on the beach had been cleaned or somehow maintained. The oceanfront view was definitely less than expected with seaweed everywhere. We did enjoy the breeze on the balcony and simply hanging out there. There was the option to get robes and slippers. Usually, hotels will place these in the room but we had to ask for it several times here. And two out of three times, they brought us what looked liked used and washed slippers. One of the delivery guys said to us they don't have new, wrapped ones and that's why they were bringing these old ones. After contacting concierge and requesting again, clean/new/wrapped slippers, they were finally delivered as new pairs. Smh. Overall, nice hotel but there can be improvements for the price.

Yelp
We have been home for 5 days, and as I write this review my wife is extremely ill, and I have been really sick as well. My wife and I have traveled a lot, we have always been very cautious of where and what we eat while traveling. The last day of our vacation there was an outside dinner Buffett. I knew better, but I had been drinking all day, so I was dumb and ate the food. We have been really sick since that choice. I have always enjoyed Mexico and the beaches, but there are better beaches in the states. The room was fine and the food and drinks were what you can expect from an all you can eat and drink resort. Be carful when you travel to these places... you can get really sick.

Yelp
My wedding was here 6/18/22 and everything was incredible. To start our wedding planner Carmen was AMAZING. She made sure everything went perfect and quickly made adjustments due to weather. Carmen is kind, caring and extremely passionate about what she does. She made me feel so comfortable and happy on my wedding day and I am so thankful for her. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding everything we asked for turned out amazing. I am so thankful for her and all she did. All the vendors she recommended were also fantastic especially our photographer Israel! He worked so hard and our preview pictures are gorgeous!! Can't want to see the rest. Nayibe in the spa was also fantastic. She did my trial run hair and makeup and wedding day makeup/hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she absolutely nailed it. I felt so comfortable in her hands and I was relaxed my wedding day. The spa staff even decorated the spa for my wedding party and we had a private room to get ready in. The spa itself is so gorgeous and peaceful. Outside of the wedding the hotel itself is gorgeous. It's got beautiful views, gorgeous blue pools and fun bars. We enjoyed the main pool with the swim up bar almost daily. They had water aerobics and Zumba and fun competitions daily. The work so hard to keep the guests entertained and we just had so much fun. The hotel offers great nightlife and lounge areas as well. There's so many places to sit and enjoy delicious drinks. We went to the nightclub almost every night and the dj was awesome. He would cater the music to each group attending the club that night. Our room was very nice. We had a swim out and the views were gorgeous. Housekeeping decorated our room on our wedding night and day after and it was so beautiful. We really felt pampered. We also enjoyed the food. The buffet has so many options and caters to any dietary restrictions. The Mexican restaurant was delicious we especially loved the enchiladas and ceviche. We also really enjoyed the hibachi restaurant, great entertainment and delicious food. The chef also catered to my family by cooking us a custom meal from the fish we had caught on a deep sea fishing trip and it was so delicious. We also frequented the 24/7 coffee place and enjoyed delicious lattes and paninis after long hours dancing at the night club. The biggest reason we will be returning to this restaurant is the staff. They truly make the stay incredible. Johan, Marco, Christelle and Vicente were the staff members we connected the most with. Everyone works so hard at this resort to make your stay memorable. They are kind caring and really made things so special for my family. My only critique would be the seaweed on the beach. It made the beach not accessible and the seaweed has a terrible odor. Hotels next to this resort did a much better job cleaning and keeping the beaches open. However this would not stop us from returning we love this resort and plan to visit again for our anniversary. Overall incredible stay, wonderful staff and we are so thankful for all the work they put in to make our wedding day unforgettable.

Yelp
Had a really lovely Christmas holiday here as it was really the only location we thought we could manage safely during Covid. The resort was thoughtful about sanitizing and mask wearing. Masks were not required at the pool or beach although staff maintained theirs. At check in they health checked everyone, sanitized all shoes, hand sanitized repeatedly and provided hand sanitizer for you to use where ever. This wasn't particularly necessary as every location had a sanitizer station if not also a staff member running you down to gel your hands. The resort has some signs of wear and tear in the roof structures of the main building and some tile work throughout. Our room though was spacious and updated adequately. Mini bar was stocked daily and when they figured out what we liked more of that was put in and other things left out. The restaurants had good food with small portions so order 2 dinners...you are on vacation. It is hard to plan what restaurant you will go to in the evening however as not every restaurant is open every night and I could not find a schedule anywhere. Daily there are special items made pool side that you should definitely take advantage of like seafood paella and fried fish. The beach size is adequate although is not cleared of seaweed every day. There are some hidden rocks in the area so swim shoes are a must! The pool is huge!! Great pool bar and entertainment staff keeping the energy up while keeping people separate and safe. There are also 3 water slides that are pretty fun for kids and adults.

Yelp
I went to Cancun for a birthday celebration with some friends, and I'm so happy I found this resort! We found a great all-inclusive deal for the weekend, and I love that this resort is newly a part of the World of Hyatt program. The resort was beautiful, and we had so much fun from morning to night. The food was pretty solid too, especially considering the all-inclusive nature. The rooms, or suites as they're all called, are so spacious and modern. The only minor issue was that there were brief seconds of power outages in the rooms, but the power quickly turned back on the few times that happened when I was in the rooms. The best part of the resort though, as others have mentioned, is the ENTERTAINMENT TEAM! I've never seen a resort with so much participation from the guests! Everyone enjoyed being a part of every single activity, and the smiles and laughs never ended. Before I left the resort, my group did a bike tour to explore a nearby village off the resort property, which was very nice to see. So happy with the experience!

Yelp
Highly recommend this resort it's beautiful and has great entertainment! I am definitely coming back. Jeremias at the buffet in morning always greeted us so nicely, had they table ready for my big party ahead of time and was also very attentive. Also Sergio in the night buffet, he was great too the best customer service in this resort.

Yelp
We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at the breathtaking Dreams Sapphire Resort, and I must say it was an experience beyond our wildest dreams. From start to finish, everything about this once-in-a-lifetime event was nothing short of perfection. This resort is absolutely beautiful. We loved that the resort was not one big massive hotel. There were 14 buildings with maybe 30 rooms in each building so it never felt like it was over crowded. We also loved walking through the lush trees and greenery when walking to the main area, preferred pool and other buildings. The food was great for being at an all inclusive resort. The breakfast buffet was my favorite, with so many options. The entire staff was incredible, they were friendly, helpful, and remember our names and our guests names which is amazing. We had guests in various categories of rooms and honestly they were all great. All of them had a sofa which was great for the extra room and a mini fridge. We ended up upgrading to the Preferred Club Master Suite Beach Front Swim Out which was amazing. It was about $1500 more for the 6 days, 5 night stay. We only went in the swimout pool a handful of times but it was worth it to us. It was nice to jump in the pool in the morning and late at night when we were by ourselves and the master suite had an extra room with a table and couch and an extra full bathroom which was all perfect for getting ready before the wedding. Words cannot fully capture the beauty and magic of our wedding at Dreams Sapphire Resort. The breathtaking venue, the impeccable service, and the meticulous attention to detail created an atmosphere that was truly enchanting. Thanks to Grace and her team, we were able to create memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. If you are searching for a wedding venue that exceeds all expectations, look no further than Dreams Sapphire Resort. Our wedding day was a true fairytale, and it is all thanks to Dreams Sapphire Resort and Grace Pacheco.

Yelp
This place is so big there's like five restaurants in here and the food is perfect there's also a spa, three buildings with room's, a giant pool with a bar in the water half and out of the water half, another bar in the check in area with a mini stage, a spot on the beach and we're here for only the wild ones music festival with trever hall and I all most forgot there's an adventurer club for kids great room service and there pretty nice my friend was so nice to get this trip for my 28'th birthday I loved it

Yelp
I love this place! Staff is great! Food is great! There's something for everyone here. I was staying at Seadust but ended up leaving half way through. The staff is mediocre to terrible. I'm so glad I went to dreams. I had so much fun. I'll be back very soon.

Yelp
I had a great time here for a family wedding in Late April. First trip to Mexico and first stay at an all-inclusive. PROS: Great job putting on the wedding ceremony and reception (Mariachi band was fun and service was good) Beautiful open-air lobby, bar, lounge area and decorative pools Main pool area is lively and fun but not too crowded Friendly, conversational staff (especially in the restaurants) Preferred club breakfast buffet is great Cibu restaurant was wonderful NEUTRAL: Room service, it was okay Rooms were as described CONS: Lots of seaweed on the beach and in the water makes it less enjoyable to swim Rooms did not stay as cool as we would have liked Bar drinks were quite weak Some restaurants closed at any given time Mini bar in room only had Corona, soda, water Resort should have more upscale Mexican dining options (there is French, Italian, Japanese) A few hiccups here and there but I had a good experience overall! It was a fun place to gather for a relaxed beach wedding.

Yelp
Due to my fantastic experience with Now Jade, I wanted to give Now Sapphire a try since it's part of the same Now family. Sadly, I was very disappointed with the facility and quality of food. Pros: staff was very friendly! Loved the waiters at the restaurants and buffet! Bluewater Grill during lunch is fantastic! Entertainment at night was similar to Now Jade; loved the entertainment staff! Cons: food was mediocre, buffet had fewer selections compared to Now Jade, buffet food was very similar every day Room was small and old for the preferred section- Now Jade has much better preferred rooms. the bathroom smelled badly at night. The jacuzzi at the end of the pool was really dirty and had lots of mosquitos. Now Jade's preferred pool section is bigger and felt cleaner, probably because Now Jade's preferred pool overlooks the beach and ocean and everything was situated nicely. Overall, after trying a few AMResorts I would say this resort is my least favorite but the staff and especially the entertainment staff was memorable. s

Yelp
This was my 1st all-inclusive resort stay. Beach had seaweed all over it and was only pushed away once, maybe twice; which smelled like silver and poop the whole time if you were down at the beach. All the drinks tasted the same due to and aftertaste, felt like it was the type of sugar they used. But after day 4 the taste was bad. World cafe Buffet was okay! Best place to eat there was definitely El Padio or the Asian Cuisine. Pools closed down at 5 mostly to get ready for the dinners. The staff really try to get you involved with games and activities at the pool. The sports bar is the only place after 10 to serve alcohol and then is a small "night club" where you have to scream to talk bc it's so loud and confined. Big advice! Tip the servers where you are going to be, pool bar server gave me 16second capital morgan pours all day in my own large Brumate cup! Definitely worth giving him a $20 because they remember you! Bring you own refillable tumbler cup to keep drinks cold and they will refill them! But not a terrible experience. Beds are nice, rooms are freezing. Maybe not the summer due to hotter temps.

Yelp
This place was recently renovated....I hate to see what it was beforehand. You can clearly see in the rooms what was done, it's dosen't match the rest of the room. The a/c didn't work in two out of the tree rooms I was switched too. In the last room, was cooler but I still woke up sweating even with ceiling fan going all night. Maintenance was called to fix several issues within three room from lights not working to refrigerator not working X 3. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel or higher...not even close. The restaurants are small only one could seat more than 90 at one time-frame. There were only two bars that stayed open past 5 pm..the membership bar and main bar by entrance, all others closed at 5pm. Why have swim-out rooms and a bar centrally located when it closes so early? If you're like me and want to sleep in a little while on vacation, forget about getting a spot near pool...people get up at 6 am just to leave a towel or book near pool chairs to hold when, they returned after 12pm...staff does nothing about it, even though they know what is happening. For a kids friendly hotel, not much for the kids to do outside the pool, they have a kids exploring day camp but most activities are for kids under 6 or so. One positive is the restaurant staff, bartenders & servers are pleasant and try really hard too make you feel welcomed. Which is why even though included in the price paid, tip them well. I will not recommend this place nor will I ever come back.

Yelp
Carlos At the Himitsu was an Amazing Server he was very accommodating and he thought of all the things on the menu for us to try and his dessert presentation was wonderful thank you Carlos

Yelp
Basic resort. They lied about a phone charge. Food is whatever. Probably look elsewhere.

Yelp
Everything was great the room was top notch the only problem was the Buffay food not great the restaurant food was awesome guirllermo the sommelier was awesome Crystal at the beach Palapa bar was amazing we will be back

Yelp
We had no clue what to expect. It was super similar to a cruise but no boat. Excursions, drinks and food galore. There were tons of vegan options. We paid extra for the pool front room and that was a nice feature but we never actually used the pool. Quick post covid getaway and we were pleased.

Yelp
I have been traveling to to all inclusive hotels for many years and my experience at the Dreams sapphire was the worst I have ever had. The hotel is old and run down. There is NO air conditioning in many of the common areas, except for your own hotel room and speciality restaurants. It was deathly hot in the lobby and the buffet. The waiters were walking around literally dripping sweat, with dirty clothes covered in sweat. Ur was a horrendous sight. Almost as bad as the food and selection which was atrocious. What really was the icing on the cake was the completely unusable beach! The beach was COVERED in so much seaweed that it was like a swamp. I thought alligators would come crawling out of there. You could barely even see the ocean through the massive piles of seaweed which obviously had not been cleaned in days / weeks or longer. The stench from the seaweed was unbearable. There was not a soul to be found on the beach. And the smell was so bad it traveled all the way to the pool area which made even lounging and swimming at the pool impossible (Not to mention the pool water was over 100 degrees and unswimmable anyway). I realize it's seaweed season in Mexico but hotels have a responsibility to clean it daily and at least try to take measures to reduce its interference. This hotel did NOTHING. I was out in the morning and there were no tractors, no clean up crew, nothing. They just seemingly gave up and stopped cleaning up the beach altogether which explains why it looked like a swamp. I was beyond shocked that a property like Dreams could allow itself to become so horrible and trashy. It was literally impossible to stay there. My husband almost collapsed of a heat stroke due to lack of air conditioning. I was desperate and to change hotels, which was a difficult process and wound up paying a lot more money for a new hotel. And my credit could not be applied to a new hotel so I am now stuck with a bunch of credit plus a new hotel bill that is far higher than what originally had intended on paying. I need to be refunded the amount I paid for dreams sapphire for services not rendered and to be credited the difference for what I had to pay for a new hotel. I lost a day and a half of my vacation just dealing with the stress and making arrangements to find a new hotel.

Yelp
Buenos Dias friends! I've been following for the last year as we planned and executed my daughters wedding weekend: 8/25 to 8/28 with the big event on 8/27! I ALWAYS appreciated the posts, so am returning the favor.... 1. Hotel arrangements for 41 then ended up being 31 guest thru apple vacations....perfect. 90% were in swim out rooms which were well worth the money. Travel to and from airport .....flawless 2. Wedding group led by Grace was phenomenal. They went above and beyond including letting us change the location of the wedding when we arrived. See more below 3, hotel and rooms: exceeded expectations! Highly recommend preferred club! Swim outs...absolutely. Hubby and I splurged on the Governor's Suite as we hosted the bride and MOH plus friend group the day of the wedding. We needed the extra room for all the girls to get ready and it was a phenomenally good decision 4. Service....rivaled the best of all our travels and we've been to 19+ countries 5. Food: very person specific but right in line with all other all inclusive a we've been too. This is one area that concerned me but we found the food to be on par. We loved the French restaurant, the Italiano and the lunch grill. The buffet was fine. We did not like the Asian....way too salty 6. The beach + sargassum was unusable. The smell.....first day strong, after that was not a problem....not even for an out door wedding by the beach. You do smell it every morning but after that....nothing! 6. Pools were amazing! We stayed by the preferred because adults only but the 20 something kids hung by the main pool! Everyone enjoyed all. Yes, you have to play the "towel game" especially by the main. Most seats started to fill up by 7:00 but you could still get some by 8. Preferred didn't fill up til 9. I get up so early even on vacation so I was the designated chair holder! But I did stay by our chairs to be more polite. Just bring a friend like me and you'll be fine. I don't like Bali beds but a lot of people stood in line every day to reserve those first thing at 10 am for the next day That is the end unless you are planning a wedding: 1. Book a rehearsal dinner by the preferred pool and make it the BBQ! absolutely worth the money and was the best meal we had! Get the Italian lights added so you can enjoy the romantic evening. Bring your own speaker for this one 2. Wedding: absolutely recommend the pergola location: private, beautiful ceremony location, cocktail party inside and then they move you outside for an evening of dinner and dancing We initially had The beach terrace was right by the pool....no privacy So they let us move at the last minute. Pick the pergola from the start and you will be very happy Resort DJ was fantastic and kept our group of 31 dancing all night Splurge for the "romantic set up" for the wedding ceremony. You will not be disappointed. Grace and team added some extras that we didn't request like first dance fireworks and party favors! The wedding team went above and beyond! Sorry for the long post but this is my Uelp worth review. Let me know if you want more of my opinion. The wedding went flawlessly!

Yelp
You get what you pay for here. We found a great deal on Travel Zoo and took advantage. Would I go back? Probably not. Plan to get to the pool at the crack of dawn because lounge chairs are always taken. The pool is large, but there certainly are not enough chairs to accommodate all who wish to be there. Alcohol is heavily watered down, which is extremely concerning during Covid because none of the glassware or mixing tools are sanitized by anything but a communal water bucket. People are allowed to use their own cups and mugs that they brought from home, and bartenders stir drinks in these individual cups with the same unsanitary tools repeatedly. We never once saw the resort's cups washed in a dishwasher; everything was hand washed in a sink with bartenders' hands and what I presume was soap. Despite advertising the dining as 24/7, room service, dining outlets, and bars close at 10:45pm. Not all restaurants are open nights, so check the schedule when you arrive. The food is mediocre. The property itself is dated but adequate. The rooms are average but also in need of a refresh. The most frustrating part of our stay was Covid testing. At check-in we were given a QR code and told to scan it 72 hours before our departure to make an appointment for testing. We did so and found that the website did not allow us to choose anything but a date - no time. So we showed up to the hospitality desk as instructed on the day we had selected on the website. There we waited in line for an hour only to find out that the QR code was merely a pre-registration for scheduling the actual test. We were then officially scheduled for a test the following day at 1:30pm. On the day of our appointment we arrived 15 mins early for our 1:30pm appointment and found that those administering the tests had decided to go to lunch and would not return for 45 mins. This was despite the fact that we and several others had scheduled appointments during their impromptu lunch break. We waited 30 mins past our appointment time before being ushered into a dirty room with two other guests. There all four of us were administered a nasal swab, but the nurse did not individually label any of the swabs. He simply held them all in his hand while swabbing all four of us and then placed them on a desk. Next he told us to come back at 4pm for results. All four of us protested that there was no way he could know whose swab was whose, at which point his colleague asked for our names and registration sheets. Needless to say, nothing about this process was sanitary, orderly, or reassuring. From start to finish, the testing reflected poor communication and lack of organization by the both resort and the testing company, and the overall experience was very frustrating. What I will say is that the resort staff were all very accommodating and friendly. They helped make our stay pleasant, despite some hiccups. Also I'd highly recommend the spa.

Yelp
Enjoyed a 6 day vacation at Now Sapphire that's ending tomorrow. The facilities were absolutely stunning and the COVID protocols went above and beyond to make everyone comfortable. Dinners were a challenge- I'd encourage everyone to go early (6pm) to put your name on the list or you could be waiting awhile. If you're in the preferred room category go see Alfredo in the preferred lounge. He remembered our order from the previous nights and always had drink ready for us. He's a skilled bartender, drink connoisseur and can recommend to the pickiest drinker. The Hibachi chefs were great (I wish I could remember the names) I encourage making that a stop.

Yelp
More like 2 1/2 starts. We arrived on Friday afternoon and we're immediately escorted to the preferred club lounge area. There are snacks type food and refreshments which were appreciated after a long flight. The good: Staff, even short handed they try their best. Some of those guys and galls we would see at breakfast and dinner time. We made sure we tipped good. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. The AC was working properly. Minibar had 4 coronitas and other soft drinks. We were given a half litter bottle of rum and that supplemented when I would run out of the beer. I did notice that the rum and coke I made was much stonger and better then the ones by the pool. NotSoGood. The resort is dated. There are missing tiles in the pool. There are 3 water slides that are also dated. Being short staffed really shows. The drinks are not being filled and an approximate wait at any restaurant is about an hour, hour and a half. The beach bars are not open due to heavy and I mean heavy seaweed. There are hills and mountains of seaweed. The water is murky and there is no way to swim or even walk. The hibachi show is ridiculous. The dude didn't even try to make it enjoyable experience. We were rushed trough just so other group could get in. They are struggling and it shows.

Yelp
This resort clearly does not correspond to the declared rating. The choice of food in the buffet is minimal. The sofas in the lobby are very dirty. The quality of drinks in bars is low. The ocean and the beach are very dirty.

Yelp
I had an amazing time here and I can honestly say I had mixed feelings traveling during a pandemic and wondered if the safety measures were up to par and they were, they did temperature checks and required you to sanitize and there was sanitation stations and they practiced social distance, they were resturants open you had to check the rotation to see which one was open however there's plenty of options. I definitely look forward to going back especially when they can open all the restaurants and things clear up and it ok to enjoy traveling again.

Yelp
Pros: - service is excellent; all the staff are friendly, hardworking and attentive - you don't even have to go to the pool or beach bars because the staff will come by to take your drink orders - some of the bar drinks are excellent including mojitos and cherry bombs - since the lounge chairs around the main pool are in high demand, the pool security removes belongings (and safely stores them) if left for more than 30 minutes early in the morning and chairs aren't used. This means people can't reserve chairs and not use them for hours. - it's a lovely resort - lots of specialty restaurants to choose from Cons: - nowhere to hang wet bathing suits because the shower rod is too high to reach and there's no clothesline - smoke alarm above beds has green flashing light 24 hours a day (very annoying at night) - not enough hangers in the closet - bacon is usually MIA at the breakfast buffet (the container is almost always empty and rarely refilled) - the vendors that set up a market a few evenings per week are very expensive and so are the items in the gift shops - some of the bar drinks are awful including banana daiquiris (they don't use real fruit, only sweet syrups) - housekeeping only left one chocolate each evening during turndown service (there were 2 of us in the room) Tips: - if you don't want to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs, request a lower floor when you check in - just say no to the offer of a breakfast meeting about joining the AMResort Club if you know you aren't interested. You have to be really firm but they can't force you to go. - make a reservation on the day you arrive for the hibachi dinner at the Lemongrass Asian restaurant because it's in high demand - wear water shoes in the ocean to avoid stepping on seaweed - the beach is quieter than the main pool with more empty lounge chairs - go for dinner at 6 pm if you want to avoid long waits for the speciality restaurants - make friends with the pool security staff. If the resort isn't full, ask for a cabana by the main pool even if you aren't a preferred guest. They'd rather it be used than sit empty all day. - book excursions through your travel/transportation company (e.g. Best Day) to get a 15% discount you won't get through the resort concierge - don't sweat the small stuff - you're on vacation!

Yelp
I just attended a large scale event at this property and it was my second trip to this specific location. I will start by saying that my first trip was great and would have reviewed in as 5 stars...alas my fingers weren't rolling as a wizard of Yelp words in 2013. Coming in with high expectations...a letdown is not out of the realm of possibilities...but I am pleased to say that the service and the venue far exceeded lofty first impressions. The rooms were clean and serviced thoroughly, the check in was seamless and my room was luckily ready for my early arrival. They even knew it was birthday and adorned my door with a birthday sash that I proceeded to wear all day! The food options were plentiful and and catered to most guests palates. Highlights included the Hibachi, the French and the late night Buffet selections. My favorite part of the week had to be the service. Everyone was so ready to help from the housekeepers all the way up to the managers. Even when a small issue like a key not working existed, a supervisor would be on there in a Golf Cart to assist within minutes. The beach bartenders and waitresses kept a drink in your hand anytime you wanted and heavy handed pours when you asked nicely. I would return for the service alone!

Yelp
First night here... Not happy!! Food not good. Here for a wedding so we are stuck for 5 days. Shower water cold and water pressure low. As of today I will not be back and will not recommend. Pictures will follow. Preferred suite not worth the $$$

Yelp
Arrived early for our check in about a 25 minute ride in a van. Airport was typically Mexican. Took us awhile to find our Amstar driver and collect all others heading to the place. Arrival was nice everyone was very friendly. We are here for a wedding my wife's co-worker. Unfortunately we arrived around 1pm and our room was not ready. We strolled around the property and checked out the facilities extremely pretty. We were taken to the Preferred Lounge which was nice kind of like a first class airline lounge, where we waited for our room to be ready. At precisely 4pm we were taken to our room by Saul. He was solicitous and helpful. We had a junior suite with an ocean view and hot tub on the patio. Exactly what we booked. It is a fine room and set up. All inclusives are great my wife has gone on a few with her girlfriends but I have not gone on too many. This was good. My wife felt this was more of a high end all inclusive. The resort is 15 years old but it seemed newer to us. Very well maintained. We checked out the various restaurants on the property and they all seemed nice and a bit different. For an all inclusive it seems to me as if they are trying to get you to pay up for more services and products. My wife loves these type places. The exchange rate at 19:1 makes any purchase a good value. Our first night we had a wonderful meal at Cibu one of the nicer restaurants on site. A fresh piece of Grouper Pizzialle. The house wine, a delicious Chilean Chardonnay was perfect. Service was excellent. Our room a/c never got cold but it was cool enough for sleeping. Typically for tropical resorts the a/c never seems to get cold enough for us. We enjoyed the ocean view from our patio. Extremely windy for the entire time here. Breakfast in the main dining area was very good. The buffet had numerous choices and there were chefs to cook to order whatever you wanted. Service was excellent. As preferred guests we had the option of a sit down breakfast in Cibu. We tried that one morning and it was great. There is food & liquor on offer everywhere and at all times very tempting. We had dinner in Palomar a French themed fancy restaurant. Steak tartare, French onion soup and a medium rare filet migon were all perfect. On our last night we dined in Lemongrass an Asian fusion themed eatery. The sashimi and rolls were surprisingly delicious. The food here is outstanding. We have been to better beaches. The oceanfront is pretty but every morning there are tremendous mounds of seaweed which is raked up and carted away by large earth movers. 10 - 15 men were raking each morning. We asked the resort about it but never got an answer as to wheather it was seasonal or not. Perhaps it is global warming. We are here in April. The beach area is fine with many lounges and cabanas and a nice beach bar. We never swam in the ocean. Room service every morning for a pot of coffee was always on time and just as ordered. We spent our third and fourth days at the preferred "adult" pool. After two days of trying to keep up with the youngsters at the main pool with water aerobics, volleyball and other activities, we really enjoyed the tranquility and service there. A wedding on our third evening with 100 guests was well done. Service on the beach cocktails at the beach bar and dinner and dancing at the preferred pool. We have not been to a destination wedding this one was pretty good. Our jitney to the airport departure was arranged by the resort staff and worked like clockwork. We liked the resort. The beach prevents a five star rating. Nancy & Mark.

Yelp
I struggle to give the review for this one. We came here for a friend's wedding. Food wise, it's literally nothing to write home about. The food is mediocre, but good enough for you to come back to get more since the resort is all inclusive. The service is great, they really try hard to give the best service. It's a bit disorganized at times, but everyone is super nice and friendly. They try to make your stay the best experience. I would like the rooms to be cleaner. The towels are a bit dirty and old. You can notice the wear on them. Also, there are some dirts on the sheets. The worst are the remote controls and phones. There are visible stains on them. Overall, it was a good stay, but cleaner rooms would help a lot.

Yelp
The best vacation I have been on to date. From the Food to the Service to the Grounds we had the best time. We never even had to leave the Resort. They had everything! Romantic Nights, Dinner, Dancing, A nightclub, Live Music and dancing in the Lounge, Beach and Pool Volleyball, The Swim up Pool Bar was one of my favorite features, Shopping and the option to do nothing at all. The rooms were beautiful and pristine. I have no complaints about this incredible Resort. I would love to Return!
