Dreamtime Hostel

A nice, quiet hostel. Very good for arriving in Cairns and meeting new people. The staff is very friendly and helps you with many things. You can get to the bus station quickly and it doesn't take long to walk to the coast.

This place was SO cool. Unlike many hostels, they do have private rooms. The bathrooms, shower, kitchen, etc are shared. You pay for A/C, though when we were here in August, there was no need for it. The common areas are very nice and have a cool vibe to them. Even though there were a lot of other people here, we had no problem using the showers, restroom, or with noise. The location is great - it's very close to the ocean, dive shops, and mall.

Very nice hostel which is perfect if you are looking for some peace and quiet. Plenty of kitchen space for the quantity of guests as well as lots of shared space. The staff was very nice, and we were able to get some good local recommendations. I would definitely return.

Cozy, Familiar, and Quiet Place (Very Home-like!) It’s been my best hostel experience during my 3-month East Coast🌊🏖️ trip🚘. The beds were very comfortable and single beds!! (the only hostel that offer that!) in an old wooden house, which made it feel really cozy. The people were friendly, polite, respectful, and pretty clean, and the owners were also very nice and helpful😊. It’s the first time I’ve felt so at home in a place like this🥰. Actually, at first, I booked for 4 nights, but I ended up extending my stay for 12 more!😄 Right next to the hostel, there’s a cool café-bar with amazing coffee☕️, live music🎶 on some nights, and great vibes! The location is a bit annoying (behind the railway), but also convenient (behind the city mall and pretty quiet). Thank you to everyone who made me feel so good!

Lovely little hostel with the *bestest host at the reception. Tim took really great care of us and helped us out with trips. Book via him as you will get the best price. The two kitchen were greatly equipped, but things tend to move back and forth between the kitchens. 😅

Cool Hostel situated about 15 mins walk from the main area of Cairns. Big shopping centre ,bus stops, train station are right across the road. Comfortable private rooms with fan on roof, have to pay 1 dollar for 3 hours air con but that is very fair in my opinion. Facilities are fantastic: washing machines available , 2 or 3 fully stocked clean kitchens, free WiFi, free towels to use. Bathrooms and showers are shared and were cleaned often by staff. Very relaxed place and comfortable beds. Staff are really nice.Safe place with code on gate to get in and locks on bedroom doors, toilets and showers. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and quiet hostel. Enough space, separate beds all very clean and homely. Even a swimmingpool. Space for relaxing like your own house. Friendly staff!

The hostel is a super cozy place and if you are looking for peace and quietness, this hostel is the right place for you... Tim, Paul and Chelsea are very helpful, friendly and welcoming and we felt very comfortable and therefore stayed for several weeks... Thank you guys for everything!!
