**Disappointing Beer Bath Experience – Poor Organization and Value for Money** We booked a 1-hour beer bath session for two, costing 70 Euro, and were left thoroughly disappointed by the experience. Here's what happened: Our appointment was at 3 PM. We arrived about 10 minutes early and checked in at the wellness desk, where two staff members were chatting. After confirming it was our FIRST TIME, they handed us towels and locker keys with no clear instructions. By 2:58 PM, my husband and I were ready and waiting near the reception desk, as directed. Despite sitting there visibly waiting, neither of the two ladies approached us. At 3:05 PM, I finally asked what was happening. Only then were we guided to the beer bath area. However, just before entering, we were told we needed to do the spa first—something that should have been explained earlier. We were ushered into a steam spa room with no proper instructions. We sat there for about 10 minutes, unsure of what to do or when we’d proceed to the actual beer bath. This lack of guidance felt like a complete waste of time. When we finally got into the beer bath, it was already 3:15 PM. However, at exactly 3:30 PM, a staff member abruptly ended our session, turned off the jacuzzi, and said we had another treatment scheduled. We were then directed to a room with stone/ceramic seats (with no clear purpose—not even heated or anything felt special~photo attached for reference). Again, no instructions or explanation were provided. After waiting there aimlessly for 30 minutes (half of the session) until 4:02 PM, my husband and I decided to leave the room with “magic” seats, frustrated and confused. Returned the towels and key then went home. Overall, the beer bath itself lasted only 15–20 minutes, and the rest of the session was an unorganised mess. There was no communication, no sense of hospitality, and no value for the price paid. We left feeling like our time and money had been completely wasted. Save yourself the frustration—this experience is not worth it.

This is the first time I've gone below 5* stars in my reviews, but I feel compelled to warn future customers - especially those with dogs. Walking down the stairwell with my dog on a leash, two hotel maintenance workers came out from around the corner. We didn't see each other, we bumped into each other, one of the men got scared. I apologized, although I had no right to see him. My dog is a Labrador, so it's not small - I understand that it's possible to be frightened. The gentleman said it was fine, the dog was super calm, everything seemed ok. Suddenly, the other gentleman made an angry face and gestured at me with his finger - I understood nothing of what he was saying (in Slovak, and he did not speak English). He seemed to be making threats against me. Just a reminder, it was a hotel employee. Frightened, I left the hotel with my dog for a short walk. Mind you, the dog was polite and on a short leash. When I returned, I asked the lady at the front desk what the angry hotel employee was all about (she was 3 meters away from our conversation). She didn't know, or maybe I didn't understand - we were talking in Polish-Slovak, because the lady didn't speak English. I have NEVER encountered such an unpleasant approach to a guest. I can understand many things, but not waving a finger in front of my face. It's a shame, because the rest of the service (waiters and waitresses in the restaurant and ladies at the reception) were really nice. I'm sorry, because I paid 110 euros for an average room (but very clean), plus 15 euros for the dog.

A location of the Resort is perfect for the variety of trip destinations either in walking distance, or few minutes by car. Accommodation in log cabins is new and rustic in a very fashionable design with atmosphere. The log cabins are fully equipped just like regular homes. There are about 20 of them quite close to each other. The resort contains also a hotel with spa, Slovakian/international restaurant, playgrounds or a jungle park for children. I do recommend. Personnel is nice and helfpul. The resort itself is calm, sitting in the nature, but still in the town of Terchova.

We spent there 6 nights for a winter ski-holiday with the family. We took the whole chalet for 6+ person. The kitchen equipment was modest, the living room are was suitable for 6 person. The internet offering and the IPTV offering was OK too. The is a parking lot for each chalet, we could park there our 2 cars. The beds are extra comfy. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean, modern and modest. The only thing we were missing was an place to dry our skiing equipments (boots, skis). We very much liked the breakfasts: instead of a bufet, we had an ala-carte offering due to the covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The breakfast was served in the restaurant in the main building close to the reception. The restaurant - we went there for lunch and dinner a few times - offers a modern kitchen, with local dishes (bryndzove halusky, bryndzove pirohy), but also some salads: taste +++, price ++. The local beer brewery products are being offered in the restaurant - I've tried all the available beer and they were delicious. The only point to enhance would be the skills of the waiter/waitress, some of the personal would need to bring up their skills and customer-approach up to the level which matches the level of the hotel/restaurant (e.g. placing the meal from the rights-side, taking away plates from the left, seeking eye-contact with the customer, don't let the client wait to long for the menu card). Overall, we had a great time, very relaxing in a quite place, close to the center of the village, 4km from the main slope Vratna-Paseky.

I rate this place five stars for the overall value even though it has it's weaknesses. They are simply not significant enough to make this not worth the money. Our stay was pretty cheap because we caught a deal on Slevomat.cz and checked in on Sunday, staying for five nights. So that's mainly during the work week. Our room was spacious and cozy, well heated and with a nice bathroom. One of the bedside lamps didn't work though and the other one had a broken switch. We didn't use the large TV in the room but it was pretty new. There was also some forgotten food behind the windows, apparently from previous guests. That makes it clear we would appreciate our room taken care of a bit better. Food choices, quality and quantity were all excellent. A wide choice of buffet breakfast and three course dinners (soup, main course, dessert) were enough to keep us fed and satisfied every day even without outsourcing a warm lunch in between. And that's with some 20 km of winter hiking every day! My only complaint is that frequently the meals were considerably colder than they should have been. I don't particularly enjoy cold scrambled eggs, sausages or bacon. Staff was friendly and helpful and enabled us to postpone our dinner one day and on the last day safely store our luggage after checkout so that we could enjoy one more trip before leaving the country. The trips you can do with a base in this place are amazing! A lot of the greatest Malá Fatra mountains are close by. We also had 2x90 minutes of free wellness included which was just amazing. A hot tub outside in the snow with a view of the night sky - that's something you can't beat! There were also three types of saunas, an indoor tub and more things. Pretty crowded on the weekends but otherwise quite free! Overall an amazing experience that I would definitely return to, recommend and that was in my mind close to double the value of the price we paid for it.

It did not correspond with our basic wishes. We were a group of 6 people, in the morning there was no warm water after the second person showered, only freezing cold water, this happened every day of our stay. ||The breakfast looked rather not tasty, the scrambled eggs looked like there stood there for several days, the sausage quality was very poor. No possibility to order a proper espresso, cappuccino as only American coffee is available. After I asked the waiter to get a sparkling water, she looked at me as if I ordered pina colada with Jamaican rum for my breakfast.||The toilet paper is put into a strange dispensing box, so what may happen due to the mysterious construction and also happened to us - if the paper sticks inside you are out of toilet paper. Congratulations!!!!! ||The rooms were very clean and equipped rather simply but more than ok for the price. The beer from the brewery is very nice and great that the restaurant is opened from 10-21h and only a few steps away from the cottages. The food quality was also fine.

Simply put: everything is about cost-to-benefit ratio. So these things were good: accesibility, great beer, some meals were good. These were bad: cheap construction of cottages (low quality windows, creaking floors, odd temperature control inside, insuficient parking area outside...), staff in restaurant does not know much about serving management and small details are completly mising (no washing machine, poor kitchen equipment in general). I would say this could be a good deal for approx €65 per night during the season (excluding F&B). I think it is not worth more.

We have visited the restaurant with family for a lunch. Unfortunately our experiences were terrible. Service was very slow, disorganized even chaotic I would say. There were only 2 waitresses for whoke restaurant on Saturday 🤦‍♂️. We had to wait almost 1 hour for a soups and another 1 hour for main meals which some was already cold when served. Very bad attitude for such a nice place in a beautiful nature 👎
