Drifters Cafe

This place was fantastic, extremely clean aswell. The people working were very friendly and welcoming. They also will give you recommendations and they do not miss. It’s right off the highway so it’s a quick little stop you should make. The coffee and food was fantastic so delicious. If I’m back in the area I’m definitely stopping again.

Out of towner stopped on my way in and out of Wardensville over the weekend and Drifter’s Cafe is a GEM! Incredibly friendly staff, plenty of seating, super clean and lots of coffee and food options. I ordered a deluxe bagel and a Freddo brown sugar shaken espresso both times! Absolutely delicious and so fresh! Parking is in the rear and the entrance is street front. Highly highly suggest a visit if you’re passing through, especially since it is attached to Word Play!

The French Toast muffin is great!!! Highly recommend trying it. Coffee was wonderful as well. I got a iced coffee with Maple cold foam and my husband got a hot salted caramel latte.

Great coffee shop and Cafe. It's behind to bookstore and has lots of drinks and food options. They even have gluten-free cookies and menu items!

My mom and I have been staying at the Firefly Inn for the last couple days and this place is so convenient and easy to get to for some breakfast from there. It's only a 5 minute walk. The food and coffee is delicious. We've both had their croissant sandwich which is really good and I also tried the peanut butter swirl.

Stopped here while passing through and now I will be dreaming of their seasonal Apple Chai-Der. We also got 2 sandwiches which were both huge serving sizes for the low price and very tasty! Highly recommend!

Love this little place!! My family and I are only in town for a little bit and we love going here! The food is good and the place is so cute!! They also have a public restroom to use when you buy something! Overall a great experience

Went here for coffee thanks to the recommendation of the book store next door. So glad we did. They have stuff to accommodate dairy free customers and more. Drinks and food were delicious. Absolutely will be coming back.

We were coming back from a camping trip and randomly stumbled upon this place--and I'm so glad we did! It's not a full-scale restaurant, but they have an impressive selection of sandwiches, salads, and wraps. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Melt, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly toasted with just the right kick of spice. I also tried the Cuban coffee, which was excellent and gave me the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. The atmosphere was great, too. The café is connected to a small bookstore, which added such a cozy, small-town vibe. The bookstore itself was quirky and fun, with shelves of every genre imaginable, plus games and children's books. It was all beautifully arranged and very aesthetically pleasing. I even ended up grabbing a game for the group to play later! Service was fantastic--the staff was super friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. Overall, this place was such a pleasant surprise and made the end of our trip even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

What a gem! We drive through Wardenville almost every weekend on the way back from Canaan Valley. Mac's was not open yet so we stopped here. The menu was GREAT and the food was so fresh. I can't wait to try their holiday coffee drinks. I highly recommend the spinach wrap or the buffalo chicken toast. And the people were so darn nice even when we had two noisy kids and it was close to the end of the day. We will stop often on our travels from now on.

Cute cafe in Wardensville. Didn't spend much time there but just grabbed a breakfast quesadilla and a coffee. Quick and friendly service. Good prices. Check it out if you're ever nearby.

Cute sandwich and coffee shop makes a great place to stop in Wardensville! Food is fresh and tasty - plenty of menus options, service is prompt and courteous and the coffee drinks are great. I am so happy that we have discovered this gem. A nice plus is the great bookstore next door. Wardensville has a lot to offer these days -- Macks Bingo Kitchen, Wardensville Garden Market, and the Trading Post. All fun!

It's a good place to drink and eat. I ordered avocado bagel and honey cinnamon latte. They are delicious!!

Drifters is a quaint little cafe with made to order food, bagels, sandwiches, smoothies and coffee! There's plenty of seating inside and a private parking lot in the back. The staff was friendly and went right to work after we placed our order. I loved the presentation of the food and it was so fresh. We got two deluxe sandwiches with small modifications and it came out perfect.

Had the best experience at drifters cafe! The food was delicious and we got our orders pretty quickly. When they heard we had dogs they even offered pup cups. The young woman who helped us was kind and caring! We sat on a cute little porch and enjoyed our food. We rarely are in this area but if we come back we will definitely come to Drifters again!!

Had an excellent vegetarian bagel & tea twice in and out of town the last few days. Really impressed how the owners support student employees and students as a place to study. I had no idea Black Sheep had moved; I just assumed this was a new incarnation. Oops. And now I see Little Grill is back. Three excellent choices for local food and drink for breakfast/brunch/lunch operated by locals. Clearly I need to return for a week of breakfast in Hburg.

Absolutely wonderful place!! The moment we opened the door we were greeted by friendly staff. The food and coffee was excellent and they even brought our food outside to us since we had our pups. If I could give this place an extra star I would.
