Driftwood Cottages

We loved our stay at Driftwood, from the moment we walked in the door to find the cabin already heated and relaxing music playing. Cabin beautifully furnished and decorated with interesting local touches adding to our enjoyment of this great area of Tasmania. We'd driven down to stunning Recherche Bay in the morning and loved relaxing in the cabin enjoying the wonderful water view in the afternoon. Fabulous comfy bed. Relished the fresh orange juice made with the press and the great selection of teas and coffee etc. Looking forward to staying again.|Highly recommended

A lovely place to stay. They cater for all your needs. Beautiful place over looking the bay. The place has a lovely ambience to help|You relax and unwind. Its close to all the necessities you may need but also is well equipped with the essentials ( mini bar). Definitely a place we would recommend

Couldn’t recommend this place more!! The recently renovated cabins were perfectly situated on Port Esperence, couldn’t be closer to the water. Gary was a fantastic host, providing us warm towels on arrival which were scented with their own unique Driftwood scent. The attention to detail in the cabins were thoroughly enjoyed by myself and 3 friends. From the robes, to the slippers, to the freshly squeezed orange juice maker. Very sad to have only been able to stay 1 night, but hope to visit again in the future. To add, one of us had left a few belongings and Gary offered to post them at no extra cost. A very kind gesture and just an extra layer of the hospitable nature we experienced at Driftwood.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Driftwood. The room was very clean, extremely comfortable and tastefully appointed with everything you need and more. We appreciated the warm towels. Gary was welcoming and very helpful. Beautiful view over the bay.

Everything you could want inside unit was very thought of down to the last detail. Great location, great views from inside and your balcony. Aircon, towel warmer, great comfy bed. Netflix already set up. Also extensive minibar. Short walk to dinner or town.

We really enjoyed our stay here. 2A and 2 teenage boys. Great view from the cottage. Our hosts were very welcoming and had a welcome gift for us to help celebrate New Year’s Eve. Our cottage had lots of added extras that most hotel rooms don’t provide (slippers, binoculars, bbq, shampoo, conditioner etc). Easy driving distance to Hastings Caves, cockle creek and some lovely seaside towns.

The owners definitely went the extra mile in accommodating all our needs PLUS had all of the modern accessories including a coffee machine and mini bar to die for. Well done guys and thanks for having us. Well done. Roger, Jane, Jeff and Andrea
