Drogheria Milanese

Amazing Risotto and pasta carbonara. The restaurant is super nice and cozy, but always crowded, so reservations needed. However, if you come at the opening time, you have a chance to quickly have a great dinner.

Nice restaurant for tapas or mains. Good variety and taste. The staff was pleasantly friendly (Richard in particular) and the cocktails are great (Vodka Sours recommended). One of the BEST tiramisu I’ve tried!! We probably got the most uncomfortable table of all (in a corner), but asides that the ambience of the place is well done. Price was reasonable.

Very nice food. Lots of small dishes, all with a nice touch of flavour and innovative recipes. Risotto was amazing and the Milanese is great too. Perfect for a casual dinner. Service was good but not great despite empty restaurant.

Recommended by a friend and it was perfetto! Great food for reasonable price. Service good. We had 2 bottles of wine, each of five people had a starter and main dish, few desserts and coffee at the end. We all enjoyed it. Ten different dishes with great presentation and taste.

Very honest "shareable" food, at reasonable prices. At arrival I felt and heard already the young dynamic vibe The music, the interior and the drive of the team went hand in hand. Thanks to the advice of the friendly and helpful waiter, I discovered many new tastes and dishes during this pleasant evening.

I will try to be short. Food is good and over the average. Some of the meat cuts were tasty but not tender as a controfiletto should be. Portion of the starters are ridiculously small compared to the price. The cocktails were all extremely well executed but we had to wait a long time each time we were ordering one. Desserts were simply not good. The place is not cozy, it is loud and crowdy. Price are high.

Great food in the middle of Milan's trendy district! Alone for lunch today, so I walked a couple of blocks to the nearby Drogherie Milanese, where I took a seat at the bar. The Drogherie is part of a chain of "diners" here, and I use the word loosely for fear that some of my American compatriots might think of a Denny's or the local Yonkers diner as an analogy. For today, a glass of Sicilian red is excellent for the Tartare appetizer -- mixed perfectly with eggs, anchovies, and herbs. The Carbonara pasta -- homemade pasta mixed generously and indulgently with egg, parmigiana, pepper, and pancetta is out of this world. Our visit to Drogheria Milanese was wonderful! The place was very busy when we walked in, but instead of turning us away the host found seats for us at the bar. I overheard several of the waiters speaking very good English. While our waiter spoke only a few words of English (and our command of Italian was equivalent), he was attentive, friendly, and brought our order quickly, with no mistakes. The ingredients were all fresh, and each dish was beautifully presented. While all the food was fairly pricey, we loved all the dishes that we ordered that night. The desserts were doubtlessly our favorite - the millefoglie and the panna cotta. They also had house-made beer on tap. As luck would have it, I ran into the Executive Chef when I went to pay the bill! He treated us to an after-dinner drink and chatted for a while - the evening was a completely pleasurable experience!

This place is so warm and cosy that once you get in you don't want to leave. Tips: I would say the best strategy to have food here is to order different small dishes and share! Make sure you order fiori di zucca which is filled with some kind of cheese, it is benissimo!!!

Sensational steaks, burgers and side dishes! The only drawback might be the backstreet boys music they were playing ;)
