Dromeas, or The Runner, is a work by the the Greek sculptor Costas Varotsos. It took the artist 6 years before the statute was revealed to the public in 1994, in Omonia Square. Thousands of sharp edged glass pieces are stacked on top of each other to give a blurred image of a running figure. Later, and due to some technical worries about the vibrations caused by the underground trains, after opening a main metro station there, led to moving the statute to a small triangle square right in front of Athens Hilton.
