Great location inside an old factory. All steaks are brought raw and ypu cook them on a hot lava stone. Best thing ia when the stone gets cold, they bring you a warm one. The meat quality was great! I took 450 grams Steak. Strongly recommend it!

Great location and customer service! Steaks are served on a searing stone with delicious sides. Menu is clear , concise and states the prices up ahead. Surely one of the best restaurants I tried in Frankfurt! Highly recommend the Prime New York Strip Steak 400g. Well served by Nick at the restaurant!

Very good food, pretty good prices and great service. Only thing was, I didn't realise you get fries automatically with your steak until after I ordered an extra serving of steamed potatoes. They're listed as "Fritten €0,00" which I obviously misunderstood as "you get fries with your steak for free".

Beautiful venue. I went there for a friend's wedding and everything was like in fairy tales. Food was exquisite and waiters are absolutely friendly. I don’t speak German but that was not a problem, everybody speaks English. It is located next to the main so basically you are in the heart of Frankfurt.

This restaurant is very very cool. It is located into an old factory once used to produce pressured water. The location is really outstanding and very posh. The food is also very good and quite sophisticated. All dishes are well cooked and presented. We had a schnitzel, deer and roast beef. It is all very tasty. The staff is also very friendly and professional. The prices are roughly on the high side but I also think that it is worth the experience. Recommended!

Amazing building, huge space inside, but still feels cozy and warm. Loads of tables inside, but you are not bothered with over-sound. I’m vegetarian and choices are okay. Not spectacular. Main was the veggie lasagna, way too salty!!!! We finished the meal before 10pm, they led us talk for a while. When we asked for dessert menu, they told us that kitchen already closed: but nobody warned us!!! At the end the wardrobe was unattended and we had to find our own coats (10.30pm) But ambiance is one of the best in Frankfurt!

This place is a bit out of the way with no great way to reach by public transport for a restaurant in the city although there is a big parking garage next door. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with some tasteful decoration and about enough space to sit 90 persons inside with further space outside in the warm summer days. The attitude of the staff was great, being very friendly and helpful. At this point our night took a turn for the worse. We were in a group of 6; two persons of our group ordered a beer which never came so it had to be ordered again; 3 persons in our group received the wrong order (type of meat ordered) all cooked at the same level although one of them had ordered it different and after same apologies were guilted into accepting the order that had been prepared vs what they ordered. The price/ portion size was that which you expect in a restaurant of a higher quality, unfortunately the quality of the food was lacking. As one small tomato sliced in half and a couple slices of lettuce do not make a salad and the meats were not special and bland. The vegetarian dish was also under seasoned and the pork was average at best. After the meal we ordered coffee and two persons ordered dessert. Coffee came and was finished without sign of the desserts, after asking I was told "if you ordered it, its coming" to which I replied it had been more than 15 minutes since we had all finished our coffee. This was not something that needed to be cooked or prepared to any great extend. 5 minutes after, it arrived. At the end of the night we received a discount on our check without asking to compensate however taking all facts into consideration, it's not a place I can recomend and will mostly likely will not be back for a while to.

If you want to eat delicious meat, this is the place to go. You cook your meat on a hot stone plate yourself at the table. The meals are for sure on the more pricey side, but the whole evening was a really nice experience. Free parking is possible in front of the restaurant or in the nearby car park (paid).

Yelp
This was the perfect spot for Sunday brunch when I visited Germany recently and caught up with my extended family. Located in a restored pump-house next to the Main, Druckwasserwerk has a spacious interior that is both historic and modern at the same time. We grabbed a booth in the back and were quickly met by a server for drinks. Since it was Sunday, we all went for the brunch buffet. Eggs, Omelets, Salmon, Bagels, Granola, German sausage, Pastries -- whatever you desired, it rivaled any brunch buffet Stateside. I may have gone up more than once to fill my plate! I'll look forward to my next visit to Frankfurt, and hope that it includes a brunch at Druckwasserwerk again!

Yelp
A wonderful setting for excellent German foods. The old building is a delight! A heavy duty joist holds a massive chandelier and the full sized industrial windows are flanked with velvet curtains. The visual bar has been raised to help visitors concentrate on the food. A delightful Parsnip soup, the Weinerschnitzel was flat and beautifully tender inside. Another win is the Apple Tart dessert. I fully enjoyed this spot and would quickly return next time I'm in Frankfurt.

Yelp
Pretty solid food and drink with an almost-lovely waterfront location. Selection of German dishes is solid, but it's the steaks that seem to get the most focus. Lamb chops are superb in quality, although the seasoning is a bit lacking-- by comparison, the truffle fries were a delectable bit of truffle and sea salt. The building on the outside isn't quite as picturesque as expected, but the inside is lovely in the typical modern-yet-old-school German fashion... and as noted, the location itself is almost lovely, ruined (or perhaps, character-added) by frequent trains passing by.

Yelp
While visiting Frankfurt, Germany on business, I was invited to dinner by the head of our European operation at a very cool restaurant downtown on the banks of the Main. Druckwasserwerk is the reincarnation of an old steam-producing plant with soaring hundred-foot ceilings and loads of exposed brick. It has been artfully converted into a sophisticated German restaurant that was teaming with mostly business types on this cold and damp mid-week evening late in January. It's menu was loaded with all the German classics including my two standbys: wiener schnitzel and sauerbraten. I opted for the sauerbraten this evening and was surprised with how the Druck's kitchen prepared this classic dish. Instead of the more typical thin slices of beef being smothered by the deep, rich gravy, this version had two large pieces of beef looking almost like a filet mignon sitting on a very thin layer of gravy and garnished with carrots and pearl onions. The beef was wonderful...quite frankly, the best grade of beef I've ever had as part of an order of sauerbraten. Washed down with a tall glass of their local draft, this meal clearly exceeded expectations. I can only imagine how delightful it must be in the summertime strolling along the shimmering Main after dinner. Not tonight.

Yelp
I was recommended this restaurant by a colleague for the wienerschnizel. We arrived and were seated right away. I had a glass of the German house white which was crisp and delicious. I shared an arugula salad which was tasty. The wienerschnizel was super tasty! It was fried crisp and was not greasy. It came with a side of mashed fried potato with bits of onion. I wish I had room to finish everything, but I'll make it up by coming back.

Yelp
Beautiful building, little value for price though. Unusual location in Gutleutsviertel. Absolutely gorgeous restored 19th century building. Truly impressive. Food was meh. Lamb chop was literally raw inside and burnt outside. Cocktails were stupidly expensive. I could see this as a cool location for a group/corporate thing. But on our date.... two stars says it all.

Yelp
I went there for a business dinner and it was very nice. The location has a very special vibe and the atmosphere is great. The food was good but nothing special. A solid 3-course-meal. Especially, I want to mention the service which was marvellous! On time, always friendly and polite but not too Polizei and stiff - very good!

Yelp
From the outside, it looks like someone spent a lot of money recently transforming an old utility building into a chic and modern restaurant. It's too bad that some of that money was not spent on training the staff on basic restaurant etiquette. When I showed up at 8 pm, the outside area was very full but the inside was almost totally deserted. I mean like three people sitting in a room of 80. And yet, when I asked to be seated, I was met with a chorus of sighs and eye-rolling. "We are totally full, there is no room." Good luck with that attitude when the shine wears off.

Yelp
Not a bad place, out of the way for tourists which is good you get that local vibe. Food was tasty enough not heaps of variety though... Would be great for buffet brunch then stay on for more drinks Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
Had dinner here on a Thursday evening with a good friend. Service was fine and the food came really quick once we ordered. We both enjoyed our meals my friend had schnitzel and I had a Caesar salad with chicken strips. Atmosphere and décor was very nice mix of modern and historic. Looked like lots of business people came directly from work (heaps of suits and ties), and it was fairly full so it was good that we made a reservation days in advance. Was a pleasant experience, will visit again.

Yelp
Great location (good mix of the classic factory building and modern interior) but - unfortunately - erratic service that wasn't up to handling the crowds. Also the majority of the day's special were sold out 2 hours after opening. The food that was available was a strange mix and quality wise wasn't up to the brahoo the restaurant made about itself and felt overpriced. To sum up: great location that needs a new chef and new menu - already ... just one month after opening.

Yelp
