This place is AMAZING! The portions are just right and the food is delicious and creative. Please note: I scarfed half of mine before I took this picture. I love the huge variety of sandwiches that you can get here and I love that you can get a “dipper” of tomato soup to go with it! I always get the “Good Doctor” sandwich. It has jalapeños but isn’t hot. I’ve tried a lot here and it’s all excellent. I would give it a higher rating than 5 stars if I could!

A cute diner with slightly upscale diner fare that isn't snooty and coffee. Tasty food, cozy decor and friendly staff round it out for a great breakfast stop (or any other meal). They also have a little bar and nice cocktails. A great place for brunch.

You must try this place; I can’t stop going. Their breakfast and lunch options are delicious and the staff is super friendly! My wife gets the Downward Spiral which is a breakfast bowl with a mix of breakfast items so you don’t have to decide, she also likes to get a side of their amazing hashbrowns and mix that in as well for good measure. I personally love the B&G as it is perfect here, my favorite in town to be exact. If I am there around 11am they start serving sandwiches which are unique and flavorful. Take my advice and get the Action Parmesan and their house tomato basil sauce on the side so you can dip your sandwich in it…your life will never be the same!

2/20&24/2024 The MOST BESTEST tomato soup ever! I also enjoyed partaking in the delicious seasonal creative drink concoctions. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwich selections. Breakfast was perfect. The chips and dip so scrumptious! Just go visit, you'll thank me 😁

In town for work , another review noted best breakfast in Springfield and I would have to agree!! First time in, yummy toasted sandwiches, waffles with all the toppings good coffee and fun chill atmosphere! Staff was super nice and attentive. Definitely will stop back in next time I am in town. Taste is ON-POINT!! Flavor is there. Portions are great. Service is hospitable. Definitely coming back here for the Mahomes Sandwich with beef patty and breakfast bowl!

I’m obsessed with this place. The old school diner design makes you feel like you’re the main character in your favorite sitcom. The menu is comfort food at its finest, but with a new age twist. Very reasonably priced for how filling the meals are. I wish I could replicate these sandwiches at home.

I can't believe I'd never been here before. It's the perfect little breakfast spot. A very small, cute hole in the wall. The staff is all very sweet and so helpful. The plants at the windows were all thriving. The food was wonderful. I will without a doubt be back. I'm so happy to see all of the positive reviews, and I'm also glad to see that the negative reviews are pretty easily dismissable. The vibes are perfect. Go give them a try if you haven't. It will absolutely be worth your time. Thanks for such a great breakfast! 💕

What a GREAT little lunch/breakfast spot! Service was fantastic. The food here is unique and freshly prepared. I ordered The Father Schlink sandwich which is a grilled cheese with gouda, mac n cheese and pulled pork on sourdough. OMG, so GOOD! Couple that with some fresh made tomato soup and you have some amazing grub. Get yourself in here and try this hidden gem.

Staff are mean girls. They rolled their eyes and seemed super irritated that we came in. Food is good. Wouldn't go back just because the vibe was so crappy.

Druffs cannot be beat. I absolutely love this place for all occasions. The tomato soup is my favorite thing, all the sandwiches are so delicious and filling, I love the pickles, and they have good service. The restaurant itself is small, so try to avoid peak meal times.

The food was so fresh, and well prepared. Of course I love downtown. This restaurant is in a historic setting so that makes it even better for me.

We went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10 and sat at the counter. It's a little place and and not fancy, but that doesn't bother me. The menu likes great and it was hard to choose. We didn't get his name, but the guy working the counter was friendly and talked to us a little bit. He helped me choose a breakfast sandwich. I had the Cheddar Tony - pimento (made in house), cheddar, egg, and bacon on toasted sourdough. It was cooked perfectly and it was very tasty! My husband had a bowl, the Downward Spiral. It consisted of two eggs over easy, toasted biscuit, bacon, and gravy and he really liked it. I'd definitely go back again!

We had an unexpectedly lackluster experience at Druff's. As the top rated restaurant on Yelp, we had somewhat high expectations that simply weren't met. Don't get me wrong, if you are in the mood for a fancy grilled cheese and tomato soup on a cold winters day, this is probably the place to go. BUT - if you are looking for a good sandwich/deli shop, I would skip this. (Note: this is all in reference to their lunch items, not breakfast) The menu is quite small and only two of the sandwiches had meat on them. My sandwich (the Mitch Martin) had two thin slices of extremely overly toasted deli turkey on it. The "chips" are just plain Ruffles, I was expecting a nice kettle chip, so these were also disappointing. The other member of my party ordered the special of the day sandwich - which was basically a bacon, egg, and cheese - and he claimed Waffle House had a better version of this same sandwich. The restaurant is pretty on the inside, though small, and the service was fine. We just wouldn't recommend stopping by unless you're really craving a grilled cheese and tomato soup.

It's quite impressive how a waitress can interrupt a conversation so many times without bothering to grasp the context. Her unsolicited opinions, delivered in a rather rude manner, really added to the experience. And I must say, questioning our lower tip while we were paying was a unique touch. It's unfortunate because the food was quite good, but given the service, I really can't bring myself to recommend this restaurant.

Great food and the servers are very friendly. We have been there quite a few times! We have liked all menu items we have tried! Cute Route 66 diner!

I started my love affair with Druff's some time ago, I can't tell you how this food changed my life. I couldn't stop. The wife and kids eventually got sick of me always sneaking away. And the only thing that comforts my loneliness now is that grilled cheese and the wonderful people at this fine establishment. I love you Druffs.

This is a good little place to stop for lunch (I haven't been there for dinner). They serve sandwiches, but they are creative and quite involved! I had the Action Parmesan sandwich, which was grilled chicken immersed in tomato basil sauce and mozzarella and provolone. The bread was Parmesan-crusted sourdough. Very nice, but very messy, too. I got tomato soup as my side dish, which was wonderful to dip the sandwich into. The service was very good. There wasn't much in the ambiance of the restaurant, though. Okay, but nothing special.

Best breakfast in Springfield! The staff is attentive and nice. We got the jacome sandwich and Nutella waffle everything was so good and perfectly made. Cute spot loved all the lamps at the bar and how they were playing The Smiths. I appreciate all the coffee refills stuffs thanks druffs!

Eating at Druffs is the dining equivalent of reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Gotta try it once, and some people come out unphased, and others are like "wow I paid THAT MUCH for a soup and grilled cheese?" I really wanted to like this place, really I did. But it's soup and grilled cheese. I paid $60 for hobo food.

I don't review much but im compelled after seeing such high ratings. Maybe it was the time of the day or the day( what seemed like the most depressing diner in Springfield. Ordered take out a Bleu Blazer s bland with no evidence of Frank's red hot and Sullipants missing the bbq sauce....so it tasted like a greesy melt. It was served with one serving of stale crumbs of chips, although the other serving was better. For $20 there's much better options available. Maybe brunch is more inspiring?

Such a friendly and comfy experience downtown. I work downtown and recommend Druffs to any customer who asks for a food spot. Lovely sandwiches and killer breakfast bowls!

AMAZING!!! Me and my boyfriend went on a date here, and the food was out standing, service was amazing and great energy, great to stop and get a crazy grilled cheese while walking down town Springfield, the atmosphere is amazing as well, gave me small New York cafe vibes I loved every second of this visit

Not health food, but delicious comforting food! I considered five stars because of how freaking good the coffee ice cream sandwich was! SO. GOOD. We also ordered two of the meat-free grilled cheeses (pimento cheese and the grilled cheese with basil), along with two tomato soups. I wish I had not added tomatoes to the pimento cheese one, and I wish the other one had more basil on it. Even so, both were tasty. The tomato soup was especially good -- super good!

They have coffee from a local coffee shop here and it is delicious! The old subway tile and bar is awesome, you get to see into the kitchen. It definitely cured my hangover, thank you Druffs.

I love this place! It is so cute and small but not too small. Everything about it is perfect, and I love the art on the walls. The windows are my favorite, they are huge and allow for great lighting. The owner, Vance I believe, is super friendly. You can tell he has put a lot of work into this restaurant and it shows. The menu is not large but I think there's something for everyone. They also have a few craft beers and offer a small menu of cocktails as well. Every time I've come in, the sandwiches are perfect and the soup is great. They always have their tomato soup and M-F they have another soup too, and it's usually different. They also sometimes have a special sandwich not on the menu. They also offer dessert from Prairie Pie which is my absolute favorite pie ever. If I had 1 suggestion, it would be to offer a vegan grilled cheese. I'm not vegan but I think it would expand their customer base just a little more. Basically, I love this little grilled cheese restaurant and I think everyone should try it!

Oh My Goodness I'm so impressed with the endless possibilities of sandwiches and how amazing they can be. The service and food are definitely 5 star but the diner itself is so cutesy and makes me feel at home moving from the east coast. With more places such as Druff's this town not only has potential to grow but also grow the economy.

My sandwich was good but I expected more of a BBQ sauce than a vinaigrette but still liked it. The tomato soup was very good! Can't wait to try another sandwich and of course that soup again!

First time there, food was delicious. Had the lunch lady option. Was delicious, glad I was not wearing a white shirt. Can't wait to go back.

This little hole-in-the-wall cafe is so cute. I loved all the fun fairy lights around. But the wonderful atmosphere doesn't even compare to the food. The food was amazing. Both my husband and I loved our grilled cheese sandwiches. I got the Crump Classic and my husband got the Breakfast Mahomes. I also ordered a small cup of tomato soup. The soup was delicious and definitely homemade. The serving size was also big and I had half of my sandwich left and was more than full. The service was friendly and attentive. A great little place to eat!

I got the vagen melt and HOLY SHIT! to find vegan dishes that aren't just been burgers, esp in certain town/cities can be hard! they knocked my socks off with this vegan melt. it was filling but didn't overfill me and tasted great. service was great and prices are very reasonable! food was also speedy! i recommend this place to anyone who is a sandwich fan ((:

Just tried Druff's brunch and it didn't disappoint! I had French toast with eggs. Their bread was perfectly cooked. I'd definitely order it again. Everyone in my party loved their food as well. 5 Stars!

Ordered the Blue Blazer and a side of hash browns ended up paying $14 for a small sandwich that had very little chicken. The hash browns were the furthest thing from crispy. Not a good experience, will not be back

Loved the salad!! My mom loved her tomato basil soup. Homemade pies by someone that makes only certain kind of pies, so she makes them well! My husband had it eaten in 5 minutes! This place is on a corner and small. Good food. If your looking for something different, this is it.

I love this place! I would eat here every day if I could. Specialty grilled cheeses, hell yeah. I love the one with cream cheese and jalapeños. Droooooool! If you're indecisive on this place and some other place, go here! You won't regret it.

This place was so good! I love a good soup and sandwich and this place just exceeded all of my expectations. The tomato soup was hands down the best tomato soup I have ever had. It may not look like a lot of food but both me and my husband were unable to finish our meals, which says a lot!!

Great location with easy access to parking (Sunday's) Creative Brunch menu, full blend of flavors and presentations. Service was attentive and friendly. The fifth star would have been selected if the building had heat in the middle of an Ozark winter. We will return when heating is operational

Druffs is such a cool and unique addition to downtown Springfield. The atmosphere is a perfect mixture of modern and vintage. The sandwiches are unique and the flavors are out of this world. We ordered The Smitty Bot and Uncle Tatey. Both were amazing and I would highly recommend them. Overall, great experience. This is a must stop.

Interesting grilled cheese place only fit about 30 people. Two types of bread (sourdough and wheat). I ordered Uncle Tatey, I don't think goat cheese tastes good with warm strawberry. The bread is heavily buttered which makes it really salty but crunchy. You can choose a side between chips or fresh fruit (mix of pear, pineapple, Apple and strawberry) or you can upgrade to soup for $2. The Side of fresh fruit was so delicious and healthy, I strongly suggest!

my mom came to springfield to visit a few weeks ago. she was craving grilled cheese so we decided to try this place out. the food was great! the bread was grilled to perfection and the vegan melt had the perfect ratio of dressing to vegan patty. the inside is very quaint and well lit and homey. my only issue was that the server came off as a bit moody but maybe i'm just sensitive i don't know.

Best breakfast in town, and that's saying a LOT!! Our #1 go to is the Freakin Franch Toast, followed by the scrumptious Downward Spiral, which i love all mixed together in a to go box, gravy galore! Eggs perfect. Our first order was iffy, but we gave them another chance and have been enjoying Sunday breakfast for a while now. #Winning. If looking for a great quick breakfast item the Jacoby Breakfast Sandwich a hit with the hubs. Keep up the good work! GrubHub gets our food from them within 30 minutes and still hot and delish.

Amazing small little gourmet grilled cheese and soup shop. They also offer beer and assorted other drinks. I got the good doctor grilled cheese which was incredible. Had gooey cheddar cheese and bacon jalapeños and cream cheese. A tad expensive for a grilled cheese, but very good and great for a quick lunch

While I haven't been to their location, we ordered the food for a company meeting and they were really good. The sandwiches we had were plain grilled cheese, tomato+basil+vinaigrette+provolone and it was delicious. There was a bacon+eggs and cheese sandwich which everyone seemed to love too. The pickle and chips were good too. The side salad came with two basic dressing and there was nothing to complain about. It's a great "to order" for meetings kind of lunch!

I heard a lot about the Cornbread Crumble (Springfood MO podcast)... I finally made it over to give it a try. It lived up to all the hype. The crispy cornbread pieces are awesome! I'll be back to try some sandwiches soon.

Great vegan patty melt! The chips and vegan dip were really good too! The dip has chopped pickles in it and a thousand island taste. It is a small diner with good service.

We had 4 people in our party. When we got there it was a full house, only one table available. We sat down and were there for about 5 minutes before anyone said anything to us and it was to ask us if we could move to a smaller table because some other guests had left and there was a larger party that had walked in. We agreed and moved tables. We then got service and ordered our food. We were there for an hour and 45 minutes and nothing we ordered was complicated. It took way to long to get our food. Then it took awhile to get our check and to pay. It was not the greatest customer service experience. On a positive note, the food was very tasty! It is unfortunate that we will probably not return based on how long it took.

Food is delicious but seemed a little pricey for just a sandwich and side. With that said, the gourmet grilled cheeses are fantastic. Absolutely worth stopping in to try.

The best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had. From the sandwich, to the tomato soup, to the pickle -- everything was so tastey! The environment is super chill. Diner set up. Service started off a little weird but got better towards the end of the meal. Definitely check this place out! Happy eating!

Contacted by the owner after I notified him of the crappy service. I guess the poor service culture comes from the top. He never apologized or invited us back. The lack of interest in rectifying the situation was very telling.
