I but from this place all the time in person and on uber. This time I bought on uber, I bought a 2 piece leg and thigh with hot sauce but received the tiniest pieces of chicken I’ve ever received from this place. I don’t know who was working the fryer today but they need to do better. I paid 16 dollars for baby food.

Cannot speak on fried chicken, looks fire. I have only gotten their rotisserie chicken with sides. 10/10 they have this sauce and gravy it’s so elite. Paired with some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I’m a big Mack and cheese guy. Other sides are great, mashed potato’s, collard greens 10/10 good local spot

I’ve been coming here for years. The fried chicken wings, champagnes, sweet Thai chili wings, collard greens, beet & onion salad, egg potato salad, deviled eggs, and stuffed clams (RIP) are all amazing menu items. Just really good food, plain and simple.

Best fried chicken I had ever. They have the best deviled eggs too I never leave the store without them. The customer service is great. They are very professional and efficient they don’t ever disappoint. Pricey but worth the wait and the quality of the food. My favorite side is the rice, greens, French fries and the Mac and cheese. Oh and the sweet potato pie is delicious too 😋

My sister ordered wings and deviled eggs for new year's party. The wings looked fresh, plump and moist... the deviled eggs were a hit. I can personally say I coulda ate the entire platter by myself, but didn't! They have good covid protocol. Only 5 in store at a time. Looks like a lot of folks taking advantage of calling ahead.

Every thing was fresh and yummy I ORDERED 4pc wing Dinner wit Mac n cheese, Candied yams and added collard greens, & mac salad...I'm happy bout my order, very good and definitely recommended when u want some good ole comfort food....ordered from UberEats delivery was fast and food came fresh and Good..

Very clean place. Surprised the food came out so quick. Food was okay. The yams tasted like they were straight out a can. Located on a very busy street. A year later: Went to try the place again and definitely the staff needs re-training the girl seem bothered that we wanted to place an order after we looked at the menu. The yams need more sauce and the Mac and cheese had no cheese.

Since I put my man onto Drumstik's s a month ago, he's been craving it. On a Friday night around 8pm he tried calling a few times to place an order, but nobody answered, and even the online ordering wasn't working for him. We checked online and it said they were open, so we just drove over, even though I thought they might be closed. To our surprise, they were open, but because we couldn't order in advance, we had to wait for the order we were trying to have ready for pickup. It was pretty annoying that nobody was picking up the phone, that's bad business. I waited in the car while my man went in. Don't ask me why he thought coleslaw was the only side that came with the family meal, it looked gross and nobody in our house even wanted to touch it. The JJ fries were okay, nothing amazing, but the fried chicken was good as usual. Maybe they were just too busy or maybe they ignored business because they didn't want to work hard, so they didn't answer the phone and ignored their online ordering system. Overall, the chicken never disappoints, but they really need to prevent people from wasting time. We'll probably keep coming back for the chicken.

We came here for dinner the other day. I was kind of skeptical on it but i was surprised. My view of chicken joints lately is that i expect higher quality do to the competition. We got a bucket of chicken and a side order of wings. The chicken was fried fresh and served hot and juicy. I literally bit into a thigh and it burst. It was nice and crispy. We had a bunch of sides but I only had the mac and cheese and some potato wedges. The mac and cheese tasted great creamy and flavorful. The potato wedges were hot and crispy too. Service was fairly quick. Considering they fry the chicken to order. I would definitely come back soon.

Everytime I come here the food is amazing. My normal go to meal is the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches which in my opinion there best item. But ive had the mac n cheese as well as wings from here which are also good. The staff is very polite and accommodating. You can eat there but its small. This is more of a take out spot so the decor is relatively simple.

Best Drumsticks I have ever had. Crispy, juicy and full of flavor. Decent prices too.

The good is what I hear the bad is I have not been there yet. Hoping to go soon. I'm going within the next couple of weeks plenty of chicken wings to be had watching March madness basketball

Delicious food, we have gotten only shared foods, so meat by the pound and sides. We have tried the pulled chicken (great), pulled pork (amazing), brisket (best I've ever had), pork belly (not my thing - my husband said it was pretty good). For sides we've had the corn muffins, Mac and cheese, beans and collard greens. All great, you'll want seconds. Price is also very reasonable! My only star off was for 2 reasons- 1. there is no clear information on allergies (I.e., gluten free, nuts, dairy, etc.). We are usually fine, but we had people over with gluten allergy and could not get a straight answer. 2. The food is not the most consistent, which is not unusual for a restaurant, but more so it seems like different recipes being used.

The fried chicken was amazing and the breading was thin and crispy. Perfectly done! Had the mac and the yams for sides and both were excellent. Highly recommend!

If ever there was a place whose fried chicken tastes like my mom's, this is it! I am hooked. The orders are fresh, and the food is still hit when I get home. They seem to always be busy. The service is quick and efficient. The friendliness is neutral. There are seats and tables, but I think they're mainly for waiting. If you love fried chicken with delicious sides, go to Drumstik!

I have gotten different items at different times and all have been awesome. I highly recommend the fried chicken. And if you like them and they are available the gizzards are to die for.

So I ordered #2 through uber eats which came with 3 pieces of chicken and two sides I choose mash potatoes and Mac and cheese with a side of lemon cake Everything was really good hot when it arrived Chicken was so crispy mash potatoes were home made I wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese because I like baked Mac and cheese but everything was good my favorite thing though was the lemon cake omgggg it was so good I should of ordered two (next time ) first time not last time (no picture I was beyond hungry )

If you're ever in the area. This is a "must-have". The BBQ is always amazing and they offer many sauces to complement your meal. The service is always speedy and efficient. The quality of the food is amazing and always thoroughly cooked through. They offer plenty of sides from Mac and cheese, yams, deviled egg as well as the fried chicken is tasty. It can be a busy environment at lunch sometimes but its well worth the wait but it definitely feels like a home spot whenever i get the food.

Fair priced bbq food. Service is good. Eat here now two times will be back for more. Paid 17$ for a platter of food fried chicken, Mac and cheese and coleslaw with a sauce and drink. Delicious.

Try Chick location and you will be back to drum stik. Blows away the chain location and their rib you die for. Stay away if you're starting a diet. Enjoy to best!

Drumstik is still good after all these years.. thigh and dum w/ 2 sides and drink came out to $15.. food is great, service is good, made to order. Parking is hectic to say the least but overall, worth it

Good Quality Food no fluff... Fried Chicken, Wings, Mac cheese , sweet potatoes, all the Potatoes the way you like, something for everyone. Fried Livers and Fried Kidneys me favorite. All the foods you know you shouldn't eat but love to eat when your missing Family and Friends that you can't be around. Price is Very Right and The Staff is Refreshing/ Know The Customer. Like Me Picky

They make the absolute best deviled eggs. Staff is courteous, efficient and friendly. Great place when you don't want to cook.

Good fried chicken, the fried gizzards are awesome! I just wish they would do half gizzards and half livers (even charge extra)!! The pulled pork was nice too. Last but not least, the Mac and cheese was over before I could take pictures!!

Quick good place for a grab and go of some bbq style comfort food. I've had better chicken but this place still doesn't fail when no one feels like cooking at home and we don't want fast food either.

Always delicious! I like the chicken gizzards as I'm from the south and it's considered a delicacy down there. You have to order ahead and take it to go but if you live too far pop those babies in the air fryer for a couple and you're good! Awesome friendly fast!

This is one of those places that makes you thankful that you live where you do. Just down the street from KFC, Drumstick is a classic and still going strong. Never too greasy, always fried just right, if you're in the mood for some good fried chicken, then look no further than Drumstick Bar-B-Q! Their signature sauce is good, but not my favorite. It definitely needs caramelization to bring out the flavors. It's not all about the fry here either, their rotisserie chickens are well above average. Tender and juicy, they'll carve it and for you and wrap it in a nice moisture locking foil pack for about nine bucks. Moral of the story, give KFC the taillights and head on down to Drumstick for a good old fashioned fry.

When I called today to place a pickup order, the young lady who picked up the phone was very nice, however although my order was repeated a few time she still messed it up and had us paid for more than we ordered. I ordered 3 ribs + mash potato, 2 drums and 2 thighs and 4 wings which was supposed to be a bucket of 8 pieces + fries!!! Oh boy, when my husband came in with the food, there were: 3 different ordered of countless chicken pieces. Seasoning was not impressive, and there was hair in the mash potato. Ultimately half of it went in the trash.

Looking for a fried chicken dinner this place is good and a good value Mac and cheese was one of the best i have had in quite a while. Their pulled pork is a north carolina vibe very good as well.

Good BBQ. The menu seemed a little small to me. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich with JJ potatoes.

While the food is adequate, and the fried chicken is quite tasty, their business practices are questionable, bordering on dishonest. I placed an order for unbreaded wings with mango habanero sauce. What I received were breaded wings with no sauce. When I called to inform them of the error, they were unwilling to accommodate any refund. The man I spoke to stated that "[I] should have noticed the error on the printout when I picked up the order " I informed him they were going to lose my future business over this, and he stated a manager would call me back. They never did. Order at your own risk, they will not correct errors their own staff makes.

I will start by saying that if you solely want fried chicken then yes the chicken is good. But beyond that there were quite a few issues. To begin the staff was not pleasant. There are additional fees for hot sauce and we were not given utensils or greeted with kindness when we asked. The yams were bland and taste like simply syrup was added, I would not recommend. The Mac and cheese was not great as it was bland, I would not recommend. Lastly we ordered the collard greens and they were not not good, the lacked flavor and were over cooked, I would highly NOT recommend. Hot sauce is .50 for a small and .99 for a large. You will also need to ask for utensils and napkins.

The verdict is in. They meet my 3C req for gizzards. The Chew,The Crunch, and their Creaminess. They are the best I've had, no bitterness, just the right amount of chewiness and fried perfectly for that crunch. When fresh and cooked right they have a creamy texture like melting with each bite in your mouth!! Oh, the deviled eggs.... creaaaaaamy delish! I added a lil cayenne and they were goooood I would haven given 5 stars if they at least GAVE you one splattering of hot sauce, instead of selling it for .50 per. Oh, and a bottle of water for $2 when you can go next door to the Chinese restaurant and get the bottle for a dollar. That's just lost revenue. Anyway, those were the best damn gizzards I've ever had!! They also offer hearts and livers but those I don't do.

The service was great, they made sure my order was correct when I called, the line to pickup food moved quickly, and everyone was so kind. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious! I got the BBQ Chicken with Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. I'll definitely be coming back!

This place is my new go to spot for good ole southern cooking ! Ribs where moist covered with sauce falling off the bone with ease. Mac n cheese was banging also the candied yams That's all I've had so far can't resist the sight of that to get anything else yet Clean restaurant no seating fast service friendly server

Back in the day, I all but LIVED here. Their chicken was simply the best. I first discovered this place many years ago. My dad in particular is a big fan. I feel they have changed through the years and are not as they once were. Don't get me wrong..chicken is still yummy and the taste is above average and their simply are not many places like this around here. But I only gave them 3 stars instead of 4 because last time we ordered from here, the chicken was a little to rare. That was a bit of a turnoff and never happened when we got them long ago although anyone can have an off day which I get. But it was a let down and neither myself nor my mom could eat it. We have not been back since. I wish Yelp had .5 stars because I'd really give em a 3.5. Unfortunetly Yelp does not have .5 ratings. That's a shame. They are WAY better than KFC so if it's a choice you are looking at, come here over there. I personally am NOT a KFC fan! Also their name is a bit misleading. This place isn't known for their ribs, it's their fried chicken that their known for. Some people I know who have heard of the are under the mistaken impression it is a sit down Barbq place. Anyone can have an off day so I might be willing to try again but I do not really eat anywhere near as much fried chicken. I don't know when I could come back. Maybe with one of my best friends who WORSHIPS this place..LOL..and is always here. This place is not bad or awful and I do not want to imply that but it isn't an every week thing for me any longer.

Drumstick remains the best . I got a half a bbq chicken for under 6 bucks and it couldn't be beat!!

So delicious. Authentic soul food that really hits the spot. Customer service was great, and the food just matches it. The portions are very fair for what you pay. I don't know how anyone can call it expensive... it's cheaper than other places. I tried some fried chicken and fried fish. I'm not much of a fish person but I really LOVED the fish. I loved the chicken too but the fish was shockingly that good. It wasn't heavily breaded but it was breaded enough and it wasn't super oily. The fried chicken was done really well too, and there was plenty to eat and then some. It's a good thing I don't live in Bridgeport because if I did? I'd be here too often. I'll definitely be back when I come through the area though.

This really isn't a review.. It's more of a disappointing comment. My wife and I hopped in the car for our 45 min ride to have lunch on Monday only to find the doors locked and the lights out. Apparently they were closed and didn't inform anyone... Yelp shows them as open, as did google and their very own website as well. We'll try again but didn't enjoy the 90 minutes of wasted time and gas.

To be a true Bridgeport native one must visit this location. Just by coming in, you smell the goodness in the air. Just to give the numbers 12 pieces of ridiculously large pieces of chicken, a rack of pork ribs (wet rub), 2 large sides, 2 packs of little bread roll and gravy. $60. Not bad considering it will feed 2 families. If you need a fried chicken fix try this spot out.

This is not first time trying this place since the 3 years I've known about it. When I initially walked in, it smelt pretty fishy, but now sitting here I realized it smells more like if you put a kitchen in a barn. Hey, I'm not saying it's bad. Little chilly in here. The woman that took our order was very attentive and nice and didnt get bothered by us being slow. The inside is really nice and I love the decor. Seems very clean. I dont know how busy it gets in here but they only have a total of 3 tables and 6 chairs. So if you're getting an order for a big party, taking out is best. It is a small place so it makes sense. The food took a little while to come out but that's okay, and I was mostly happy with the experience of customer service. Now to the food. (I'm just to give a heads up, I dont really like chicken that has the bone in it, unless the chicken is moist, and the batter/skin isnt too hard for my teeth and mostly just is crispy, salty, or mostly just melts in my mouth.) So we got the 8 bucket wings, mashed potatoes with gravy on side and the sweet home made coleslaw. I didnt like the coleslaw, so I'll try the other one next time. It's too choppy for me, barely mayonnaise, the flavor isnt really there. I love the potatoes but I dont like to gravy. The gravy is weak and a little gross to me I guess? Like.. I've had better home made gravy before. The chicken was great. And thats what I originally came here for. I wish there was a 3.5 because I dobt think this place quite deserves a 3. If you like chicken, this is a stop you dont wanna miss.

I was pleasantly surprised with how great the food was here. I expected it to be your average tasting chicken BUT after I had the first buffalo champagne I couldn't stop eating. I mean even after the heat hit my taste buds I was determined to keep going. I keep throwing back those delicious pieces of chicken like it was my last night being able to eat meat. Also had a small order of JJ's which is basically more chicken, well chicken fried potatoes which is one of the best ideas anyone has come up with. Honorable mention: that tangy honey bbq sauce.....I swear I'm trying to make my own so I have access everyday to pour on everything. That's how good it is.

Tried it for the first time last week. Fried chicken breast was awesome. Crispy and non-greasy. Yummy fried mushrooms. I don't understand the concept of having deviled eggs here, they don't seem to belong, but we had to try them. Not how I'm used to them being prepared (there seemed to be mustard in the mixture) but hey, I liked them. Probably would get a 4 pack again. Macaroni and cheese was alright, great taste, but the macaroni was cooked too much. Pretty good cole-slaw. Not really a "sit-down" place as there was one picnic table in there and 3 bar stools, a run down pacman arcade game and a "claw" game machine with outdated prizes from the 90's in it. The gumball machine doesn't look like it's been touched in years. Regardless, the food will have us coming back for more.

1st time here the chicken is good. My family tried the gizzards and they were very good also... the food was so good we came back 2 days in a row... we ate so much that if I see another chicken there will be consequences and repercussion LOL

An almost 5 star as this is one of my favorite places to eat in Connecticut. An authentic southern food place hidden away on Main Street in Bridgeport. Service is always nice even thought they can be a little slow but that's only a minor price to pay for great food! I constantly recommend this place to people (specifically the pulled pork, sides such as Mac and cheese and collard greens, and wings). If you ever want soul food, then this is definitely the place to go. They can defiantly work on minor things to enhance their flavor and quality of food however it doesn't stop me from coming back.

This place is not bad. I really liked the fact that they fry their chicken to order. Fried Chicken is something meant to be enjoyed fresh, not from under a hot light. So they win for that. The mac and cheese could of been better, it did not taste like baked mac n cheese to me. I prefer my collard greens to be cooked with smoked turkey and not bacon. I picked the bacon pieces out. Other than that. It was good. I want to come back and try the wings.

I eat here on a pretty regular basis. The chicken is always good. The greens are really good as well. And we always order the deviled eggs. The staff has always been friendly. They aren't really a dine-in place but perfect for pick-up.

Best fried chicken in the Northeast.. not just Connecticut.. great deal on the take-out family meal. The sides are incredible too.

This place is one of my favorite places had the worst day yesterday my husband calls me and say what's for dinner and guess why I said ! Drumsticks bbq !! The collard greens , yams gravy and Mac and cheese that chicken I'm a happy girl!! Even had the fried flounder just yum!! Great Friday night meal but really great any day of the week love this place best bucket of chicken!
