I loved Drury Buildings so much I ended up going back twice in one week! Everything from the food to the service was spot on. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The prawns were delicious and perfectly seasoned. But the real surprise? The focaccia with aioli dip—simple but absolutely packed with flavour. A perfect start to the meal. Service was incredible both times—friendly, attentive, and impressively fast despite how busy it was. Drury Buildings is definitely a new favourite. Highly recommend!

Google
Very disappointed with the food here. The focaccia was really bad, no salt was added and it actually tasted stale. The arancini needed more seasoning, as did everything to be honest. Very small portions for the price you pay. The venue itself is lovely but I’d be returning for drinks only.

Google
A very good tapas style bar with a large variety of options to choose from. Service and food were good! Drury buildings gets pretty busy on weekends so make sure you make a reservation if you’re planning to be many.

Google
Great variety on the menu, everything we got was delicious, staff very friendly, I’d recommend the Scampi and the ribs

Became one of my fav bar in city centre. Atmosphere is amazing. Lights, sound levels are enough. Chill. Food was amazing. I ate cheeseburger slider. It seemed small but the size does not matter, it was delicious!! You really have to try the cheeseburger!

Google
Very tasty small plates, some are surprisingly big, so maybe order in stages, rather than all at once. Staff were lovely, and it’s a very pretty place, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Google
We came in here for a quick drink so we didn't try the food. The building used to be a clothes factory and this establishment is split over many floors with indoor and outdoor seating. We had a glass of Malbec (€10) and a pint of Beamish Stout (€6.80).

Google
Cool restaurant and bar, the atmosphere is nice although the music is a bit too loud. The food was good but it’s true that the portions are small so it ends being pricey. The desserts were delicious though! The service was ok, there was a mistake on our bill (to the restaurant’s gain, what a coincidence!) and they “apologized” and corrected it.

Yelp
Delightful! Not huge portions, and that was great. We got to try a lot of food. My personal favorite was the crab toast. The flavors all complimented each other perfectly. The focaccia was fantastic too. Staff were lovely and the restaurant itself is airy and modern. Great place for groups!

Yelp
This place is one of them ones. Cool atmosphere, good service, and a variety of very delicious foods. It's mainly a tapas style restaurant but they do also have boards for sharing, like their Chargrilled 10oz Gilligans ribeye steak. I think that was the star of the show for me. Perfect flavor, cooked at the right temp (medium), nice size, and it's fire with or without the peppercorn sauce. Another star for me was the broccolini . It was seasoned with garlic and chili. I really could have ate the whole plate of it, it was perfection. The gambas, octopus, and aubergine (eggplant) parmigiana were also really good. My friends also enjoyed the tacos and ribs. Drinks were delicious too. I loved the limoncello spritz and this blueberry tequila drink called Tequila Blues.

Yelp
Got a late reservation we saw that was open at 8:45 and grabbed it. My brother and I got a drink and shared 5 tapas between us and really enjoyed the evening. The vibe was incredible, lighting, energy, atmosphere, everything. And all of that was still well under €100. Definitely recommend checking out.

Yelp
It's a fun place for a drink, not too crowded and the bartenders are very friendly. They have a full bar, and a fairly decent variety of beers on tap (but not the best in the area (8 choices)). I visited it at least twice, and although it's fun, and the staff are very nice, it's kind of a nondescript joint (and speaking of nondescript, I highly recommend a name change). It's a nice place for a quiet drink, but not somewhere you can expect to party your ass off.

Yelp
We loved everything about this restaurant except for the drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was superb. We also loved our outdoor seating, which was very cute and comfortable. I also liked their twist on certain tapas. Would love to go back and try other items on the menu, but will be steering clear of the cocktails. My husband did like his beer but said it tasted nothing like Sierra Nevada, so we're not sure what he was drinking.

Yelp
This place is a bit spendy (and trendy) but mostly worth the price (?). We wanted to sit in the cool inner garden area but it was filled with people smoking so we opted for inside. We ordered the 2-course special and everything was good. Best dish of the night was probably the beetroot and goat cheese starter dish. I was disappointed with my cocktail -- I could taste gin and soda but that was about it for something that was supposed to have herbal notes. Our server was difficult to track down, and a few times when he was nearby he looked at us and didn't come over. Another server had to indicate we needed attention. He seemed more interested in chatting with another group of customers that were seated on the other side of the room. I would try this place again but keeping in mind it's pricey and hit or miss with the menu and service.

Yelp
Went for a sunny Saturday brunch. They have a lovely terrace in the back to catch some rays of sun. Their brunch deal of a main and mimosa for 15 quid is very good value. Me and my brunch buddy both opted for the Norwegian eggs. When the plates came out and we happily tucked in, after a few bites we realised that both our poached eggs were actually missing. Odd. The waitress apologised and a while later our Norwegian eggs came out with eggs included. The eggs were seriously undercooked sadly, but I was starving and didn't want to have to send the plate back again so polished off my food apart from the undercooked egg white. I think we caught the chef on a bad (hungover?) day and would not mind coming back here to try again.

Yelp
Terrible. Frozen foods deep fried and covered in butter sauces. It actually made me ill. Plus they didn't have a basic G&T even though its one of their signature drinks.

Yelp
We didn't get to sit inside the lovely garden area, but we were still lucky to grab some street seating. The wine was great, service was excellent and food was delicious! Loved the menu options and variety of offerings. Everything was delicious and perfect for hitting that 9 euro spend without overdoing it. A bit pricey for some of the options, but overall strong value.

Yelp
Wild Boar Porchetta (5 NOMs) Oh my, I like my meat big and tasty when it comes to appetizers like this Wild Boar Porchetta. We were super hungry after exploring the city all day and wanted something quick and tasty. This was truly pure perfection, the wild boar literary exploded with flavor in our mouth. Very thin and light, yet the flavor just overpowered all senses. Big fans of Olives and pickles that added that very strange and strong flavor. This is the dish that we don't share with friends because it all mine and no one can have it! Not the cheapest dish for €13 ($14), but it was zero regrets kind of a dish. Everything about this dish was pure joy and made it one of our favorites from the trip. Truffle Pappardelle (4 NOMs) It's all about the pasta fun times when trying Truffle Pappardelle dessert. Who would have thought that capital of Ireland is also home to some of the best Italian pasta dishes in the area. Just fell in love with hair-thin wide pasta with truffle pecorino cheese and white sauce. The thinnest of each noodle make some wonder how they do it? Not the cheapest dish with lunch for 14 ($15( and dinner for 23 ($24). Still, this dish is worth every euro! Baked Pistachio Cheesecake (5 NOMs) We going nut over this Baked Pistachio Cheesecake. Talk about a cheesecake that so rich it can fill you up. Just love everything about it. The melted chocolate all over, the crunchy chocolate cookie crust and of course pistachios everywhere. Plus served with chocolate ice cream on a side, after all, this dessert is just not heavy sweet enough LOL. While it's very rich and sweet, it didn't feel like overly too much. Just means it's a dessert you should share, we didn't though. Because we wanted it all for ourselves and no one can't have it.

Yelp
I had booked the venue for our company Christmas party. The event planner was really lovely and helpful and we were excited to have our event in the venue and we had cleared the theme of the party with the planner that had one prop that was delivered to the venue and was to be shipped back the following day. From the moment that we got into the venue it was like we were bothering the head staff member and out of 60 plus people - there was not one good interaction to be had. I thought it was just me that was experiencing this but it was across the room and I have never had so many complaints following an event before. Literally the entire party was treated very poorly by staff. During the evening one of our board members stood up to make a speech and was standing against a pillar as to not get in the way and a few sentences into her speech - our party manager asked 'how long is this going to take' , 'we have to move on with service'. As I suggested - there was plenty of room for service with just one person standing up but this wasn't good enough. At this point this manager stood in the bar area shaking his head at everything and slamming items around in the bar. It seems this person really shouldn't of been in work that day! The food arrived very delayed to one side of the room with one side completely finished and the other side still waiting to be served and when the steaks did eventually arrive - they were incorrectly prepared across the room. The agreed bar tab was also not flagged, we would of agreed how far to go to if it had of been flagged but nothing was said and the bill kept topping up. At the end of the night 100% payment was demanded and when our head of finance explained that we normally pay the following day via invoice - this person demanded that everyone in the room should pony up cards saying 'get people's credit cards to help pay for the balance' so they could charge the full amount right then and there. The prop that was also being collected the next day - this person demanded that it was removed right then and there...at 1am! Security clearing out the room were really aggressive towards people so it was excessive rudeness across the board and as I mentioned above - I think everyone was shocked at how bad it was and across the entire room. It was shocking and disgusting behaviour and it rings like the recession days of doing business or rather how not to do business. I have been in touch with the venue regarding this and we are still to receive any feedback on what is going to be done about this but we have given more than enough time. I was horrified to hear about people considering booking the venue for weddings so please do take this into consideration if you are.

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite cocktail bars. Conveniently located in city center, a beautiful graffiti exterior and a lovely little bar inside. I've tasted most of their cocktails, and I am not disappointed every time. The staff are lovely, and the ambiance is pretty good. They have a lovely outside area, which is usually packed. However, you should try to get a seat there if you can. It's well heated, and dimly lit and has lovely decorations. They also seem to have an italian restaurant upstairs which I have yet to try.

Yelp
As of late, brunch has become the latest dining trend to flood the Dublin restaurant scene. This is great because now everywhere is competing to have the fanciest brunch menu and there is no shortage of places to get a good brunch. This trend is also a bit of a pain in the hole as now everyone and their memmeh goes for brunch on the weekend. On a lazy Saturday, we spent the day wandering around town looking for a decent brunch. We passed by a few places that have a good reputation for brunch (San Lorenzo's, the Whitefriar Grill etc) only to find they were totally packed. I am ideologically opposed to the idea of making a reservation for brunch. Brunch is nothing but a fancy breakfast to make you feel human again while you are horrifically hungover. Booking a table doesn't allow for you to be too hungover to leave the house. It means you need to get there at a specific time that non-hungover you thought seemed reasonable but hungover you thinks was a really bad idea. After a brief stroll around the area, we found Drury Buildings. I had seen the place a few times before, but the menu never really stood out for me. The brunch menu, however, looked pretty good. We went in, and were met with by the hostess at the door. She took us upstairs to a balcony over looking the beer garden. The place seems nice; lots of seats upstairs and downstairs. The beer garden looks pretty nice too. One thing I will say though that the crowd inside were relatively older than me; more in the 45 plus age bracket which leaves me feeling a little uncomfortable. I ordered the breakfast and my girlfriend got the wild mushroom on sourdough. The breakfast was amazing. In fact it was the best I have had in a long time. Everything was top quality. Also it was huge. I asked for some hollandaise on the side, which they gave me without any issues or a extra charge. The best part of the breakfast was definitely the salami hash.It was an absolutely amazingly delicious mess of potato and salami. I would order that by itself and happily pay a high price. The wild mushroom on sourdough dish looked pretty good too (if you are into that kind of thing). There was a huge variety of shrooms and herself was pleased. She also got a cocktail; the Selector. It was really good. Made me want to come back for drinks at some point. All in all this place does a damn fine brunch and some very nice drinks. It might be a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for here.

Yelp
Have been meaning to come in here for a long time, so what better day than a long weekend when the sun is shining and we can sit outside in their little courtyard area. It's a really lovely space that they've created here - simply decorated, with a contemporary but comfortable feel. We came in specifically for mojitos but they don't do them! No worries, we had some whopper Mi Thais made for us instead which were really really delicious. The waiters were cool, calm & professional, but still really friendly. I didn't have any food, but will definitely be back for the cocktails!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Was placed at the outdoor terrace which looks so beautiful. Very nice interior design and concept throughout the whole place. Really amazed when I first stepped in. I was really disappointed in the service whereby we were waiting for almost an hour for our food to arrive. Not even a slice of bread was given during our wait. The restaurant was not even busy or full during the time that we went. I had the small plate of truffle pappardelle for €12.50. The portion was really tiny, so I highly do not recommend a big man to come here hungry. The entire dish was alright, it just really lacks that truffle taste which is suppose to be the star of the dish. Could use a little more seasoning in my opinion. My friend had the Norwegian poached eggs which itself was a way more hearty meal as it came with a side of roasted potatoes and broccoli. Though I'm very disappointed that the poached eggs turned out to be over cooked. Ugh. Hate chefs who can't do a proper job. But the hollandaise sauce was perfect. My other friend had the stonebass which wasn't too bad. It was just average. Nothing too fancy about it. And another had the venison pasta, which once again, the size was very small. But it tasted pretty good. Good proportion and balance of venison to pasta itself. Overall, I felt the restaurant is nice - the ambience and the food is probably slightly above average. But the service of us waiting an hour for our food and the price is a no no. Doubt I'll be back here again.

Yelp
Really enjoy chilling out here, great space both indoors and if I'm honest, the thing that makes this place great for me is the garden terrace out back! Love it, very unexpected from the outside but yes, there is a cute garden terrace which on a lovely day or warm evening, is the perfect place to hangout relax with their bar serving great selections of beers and wines. Have always found staff to be friendly and really attentive, table service is always on offer and served with a smile! If you're looking for a casual meet up place, great for groups also this is your place... the food menu is nice from nibbles to full mains, you're sure to find something to suit.

Yelp
A very nice location for a cocktail and a bite to eat. Just off George's St, it couldn't be any more central. The smoking area is what makes this place so great. Not your usual 'standing pushed together in the cold' but a bar-like set up with table service. You can also get food out here. And then there's the proper restaurant with balcony part. Also outside but it feels like your on the inside. The cocktails are decent and there are many craft beers available. The service is usually very friendly unless it's the end of the night and they want you to go home. Then they stare you down and make you pour your 13Euro cocktail that you ordered 15 minutes ago into a plastic cup and have it 'to go'.
google avatar

Kayleigh C.

Yelp
Really nice spot! I've been here a couple of times with friends over the past while and it's definitely a popular after work spot! If you are going I'd recommend trying to get a table in the courtyard out the back, it's really beautiful with the lights, flowers and balcony! They do some great cocktails, nice beers and even have that fancy 'Curiosity Cola'...something my teetotal friend was really happy about! I haven't tried the food here yet but would love to go back and get a table on the balcony, I would be happy to sit out there for the night. Saturday nights are, of course, really busy here but if you are lucky enough to get a table you're sorted as there's table service for the whole night!

Yelp
Cute little place! A bit tucked away but very nice, sleek interior. We were just there for drinks but they have a complete food menu as well (which is apparently Italian??). They have an extensive drinks menu with a focus on cocktails. I got a pint of the Sierra Nevada pale ale, but was admiring the cocktail list as well- definitely interested in the Lychee and Chilli martini and the Bramble for another time. The bathroom was interestingly decorated but clean and spacious. Overall, nice atmosphere and, based on observation, experienced bar staff.

Yelp
There was coriander in my soup, there was coriander on my pasta. Of course, no mention of this devil herb anywhere on the menu. Please people, together we can stop this hipster fad of putting it everywhere and assuming everyone enjoys it. This is 2016, restaurants should know many people have a visceral aversion to it and it ruins everything. Apart from that, the food had very high potential.

Yelp
Every restaurants worst nightmare! We were a walk in party of three on a Saturday night, too late for pre theatre, and just before the serious a la crate crew start to arrive... Not a problem here, greeted and promptly seated! With a time limited table, but that was no issue for us. The menu reads well, lot to try and complemented with great specials, a smoking drinks list and a great selection of wine. There was nothing not to love. We skipped starters and wolfed down the delicious breads, really really good - a great first impression. For mains my friends had beef medallions, unanimously loved. I had the stone bass, which was delicious. We shared a dessert and a couple of coffees, good value and good food had by all. Service was friendly and warm, and in no way did we feel rushed. Lovely! The restaurant had a few large groups that kept the atmosphere lively, and we topped the evening off with a few drinks downstairs. The only one thing that could be better is the austere number of bathrooms, which seemed a few to few for such a large venue! Will be back!

Yelp
This place is a little pricey but they do offer more than the bog standard array of drinks which might explain the price tag. The outdoor seating area is definitely the reason i keep returning, it always fools me into thinking i have left the country and i am on a mini city break... It has a rustic feel with great outdoor heaters which keep you warm and snug even in the colder months.

Yelp
One of the best places to eat in Dublin! Everything is top notch- ambiance, service, food, drinks... Trendy and yet relaxed surroundings. A la carte is quite expensive, yet worth every penny! Early bird is excellent value! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Not the best place if you want to catch up with your long no seen friends. It's very loud. Prices are bit high, toilets are uni sex, I though that I am in wrong place. Calamari were nice. And the smoking area. You can sit down and have relaxed cigaret.

Yelp
Cool building, good wine, food was delicious, staff was attentive and friendly. Will be back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Drinks only review :) 'How much is a dram of Auchentoshan?' 'What?' 'Auchentoshan?' 'Eh?' 'Nevermind, can I get a Laddie 10?' 'Eh....' I've never felt more pretentious when in a Dublin bar...seriously. Headed here on a whim but was taken in by the trendy surroundings that were not over the top but did impress. The scotch selection caught my eye immediately, but I get the impression that doesn't happen too often. The crowd was fairly 'Fade Street esque' but grand. We could get a table at 9 in a Friday night and it got served quite quickly. The bar staff were pretty cool, nice guys and I feel like they're a total asset in a place like this. The toilets were weird, unisex deals which didn't float my boat but I guess I'm just not trendy enough!! Looks like a great place to start a night!

Yelp
As a social smoker living in a country that rains 90 percent of the time it's a real challenge to find a comfortable and pleasant place to seat and enjoy a drink and smoke. The drury building for me is the bar that does this the best. The little smoking garden in the back of the restaurant manages to be comfortable and cozy without being flooded with cigarette smoke. It's has exposed brick walls, nice art and good lighting. The restaurant and bar are really good - On the ground floor where the bar is they have casual dinning with high tables and upstairs is a more formal dining room - on top floor is a private dining room which you can hire for parties , the food is excellent, I was there on new years eve and i had a fantastic dinner. They have a good range of cocktails and they are not too expensive. The staff is really friendly and it's definitely a place to check it out.

Yelp
We visited Drury in a party of 4 for dinner. Food: we ordered 3 different pasta dishes: guanciale, truffle and venison ragù. Both the guanciale and truffle pastas were really dry and bland. The ragù was ok taste-wise although it was really watery. Service: not pleasant, when I asked what 'Barolo tagliatelle' mean I got an arrogant answer asking me if I know what Barolo is and what 'tagliatelli' means. Yes I'm Italian I know what they mean, just wanted to know what they do together. Value for money: absolutely terrible. 22.50€ for a pasta dish that was also bland. We're talking Michelin star prices for a pasta dish, although the quality was far from there. Overall a pretty bad experience, terrible value for money and a slight arrogance. We won't come back.

Yelp
Great spot for after work drinks with a friend or two. It's quite small so wouldn't be great for a larger group but it's intimate. Very cool decor and drinks menu. We went for the mango & passion fruit cocktail, Mai Tai and the Gin & Tonic. All drinks were delicious, and especially appreciated how the Gin and Tonic was not your average Schweppes and Gordon's gin. The staff were good, kind of left you to your own devices so you had to grab their attention when you wanted another drink. Great atmosphere and cool spot in the centre of town. I'll definitely be back again.

Yelp
I was looking forward to my first visit as the place looks nice, the menu is interesting and I like some of the owners other ventures. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Forty minutes after I finished my starters I had to ask the waiter if the mains were on the way, only to be asked what I had order. When they arrived the steaks were barely lukewarm and eggs not properly cooked so we had to send them back. Also the smoked haddock with two poached eggs had actually only one poached egg. In fairness they brought quickly new steaks and it was good but not excellent. My pasta with pork cheeks was enjoyable but not outstanding. The steaks were also taken off the bill but overall the experience was not satisfactory. They were perhaps short staffed on that day but I saw other tables sending back meals and the waiters seemed overwhelmed so I will not be rushing back.
google avatar

Brendan S.

Yelp
There's an excellent drinks menu. Some of the front of house staff were excellent. But the food was head-scratchingly weak. Worst was the gnocchi. It had turned to mush. The plate was literally a wasteland quagmire of potato, flour and water. The aubergine veggie main was plain fare; reading so much better than it ate. The pigeon special, dry and tough. Sadface. The bresaola starter was the only savoury course to pass muster; but then, there's not much to get wrong, slices of cured meat with some Parmesan shavings. All told, a pricey adventure into a kitchen nightmare.

Yelp
This was a great option for dinner with friends while in Dublin. I could see with Saturday afternoon turning into night, and a soccer match on TV in many bars, and people waiting on the Brexit vote, was going to mean extra crowded restaurants and bars. So I booked through open table and we were seated first in the upstairs dining area. Great service and delicious food, drinks were on point as well. I would definitely go back when I'm in Dublin next as it is a good option for a more intimate setting just above a bustling bar and restaurant.

Yelp
I'm always excited to hear that a new cocktail bar has popped up for me to try and I was not disappointed by this one. They've made really good use of the outdoor space that they have and created a lovely seating area on two levels. It's cosy and gently lit with plenty of heat lamps for the typical Irish weather. It's clear from the cocktail menu that a lot of care and love was put into curating the list. Each cocktail is even dated so you can tell which era it came from. The bartenders really take a lot of time in making each cocktail so you know you're in for a treat. I didn't stay long on this visit but I'll definitely be back again to sample more from the menu.

Yelp
Went here for the disco brunch event organized by the Gentlemans Academy! Tickets were €25 and for that you got a free drink (Prosecco, Mimosa or Bloody Mary) and a meal from a menu of 6 items! DJ organized and good atmosphere in general! Bloody Mary was hands down the best I've had! Burger was top notch as well! Can't comment on prices or the regular menu but on this basis there is no reason to fault this place. Whiskey selection was quite extensive! Didn't stay long but looked like it would be a good afternoon so props to the academy and the location!

Yelp
I had a bit of a mixed experienced in this place. On the one hand, the place looks cool and it has a great selection of drinks, but something about it feels wrong. It's almost like they can't make up their mind: are we a trendy bar with loud music, or are we a place to enjoy a drink with friends? Because I've had such a mixed feeling, I will probably be going back, and then maybe bump up the star count.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner in the upstairs dining room. The set menu had lots of interesting choices and I enjoyed a peach salad, seafood pasta, and hazelnut cake. The servers are very friendly and the space is beautiful. They were also easily able to handle our party of six, which proved cumbersome at many of the other places in the neighborhood.

Amy B.

Yelp
Had the Drury Breakfast, and it was delicious! Got to sit in the outside area with a great atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Food was reasonable. Service was mediocre. Quiet Sunday afternoon, and no one paying attention to the table. Politely asked for the bill from our server and heard someone of indeterminate position but definitely staff tell her "she meant to say please". I did say please. Even if I didn't, I'm entitled to ask for permission to pay for services rendered, unless you want me to walk out without paying. Won't be a problem in the future because I won't be coming back. If this establishment can't handle a quiet Sunday , I would hate to see a weekend night

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this place which we'd been planning to visit for ages. The food is good, the service was excellent - friendly and efficient, and the dining room was comfortable and inviting. There was a great buzz in the place even though it was only about 70% full on a beautiful August Thursday night. The mixed feeling come from a sense that the food is way overpriced for what we had. We decided to share a salami board for starters which, at €22.50, I expected to be laden with a variety of meats. No such luck - a couple of slices of, it has to be said, very good prosciutto, ham and salami with a miserable couple of bread slices were proferred. I could easily have eaten it on my own and looked for more. Main course for me was a nice stonebass but, again, had I not ordered chips on the side, would have been lonely enough on the plate with only some half-hearted garnish to keep it company. €24.95 for that. Surprisingly, my companion had ordered a starter size linguine with crab meat which was both ample and delicious. Go figure. I struggled to find an affordable wine on the impressive enough Italian wine selection but the Veneto at €34 was good enough. As I have a problem paying for bottled water in Ireland, a ludicrous notion when the tap variety is easily as good, a carafe of same was ordered. Now it's very hard to get this wrong but the water was on the warm side of tepid. Literally straight from the tap. Hard to complain about 'free' water but with small portions at steep prices you'd think they'd get this right. No? See what I mean about mixed feelings?

Yelp
A very New Yorky lofty feel about this place. Great atmosphere. The food is seriously good and the service is at very high standards. Love the music they played on the day and wasn't expecting to find a cosy little courtyard in there. What a bonus! Love this place. Highly recommend to everyone.

Yelp
Having wanted to try this place for some time, I arranged to meet friends here for dinner. What I ordered was superb and the service was great. I always appreciate it when staff are happy on the job. I also had brunch here a few days ago. It was equally satisfying and I would definitely recommend the wild mushrooms on sourdough. Would give 5 stars if they improved the cocktail quality.

Yelp
I wish I could write a complete review but it will probably be another time... I went to sit there at about 1pm on a Saturday. We got a table and we were given the menu. The brunch options were ok but the platters looked much better, and this is what we asked for to the other person who came to take the order. This is when we were told that we could only pick the brunch options. This was not spelt out in any way in the menu and not explained when we sat down. After considering the choice on the first page, we decided to leave. This looks more like a dinner kind of place anyway. Also, nearly all the tables were booked so I recommend you call them beforehand to avoid having to find a plan B. It looks good, the people are nice-ish and the menu seems interesting: redeemable.

Yelp
So, was back here for food, downstairs, two of us. It's a small plate menu. We liberally sampled :-) Place was hopping, food was very good, if slightly on the pricier side, service was great. Really enjoyed it, although I wonder if I'm their preferred target market? Think they are skewing towards the beautiful young things zone :-) Still, if they let me in I'll be back!

Yelp
Went for a meal with some friends after getting a recommendation but wasn't too impressed for the price we paid. Two members of our party were running a bit late so we asked if we could get some bread. We were told that to get bread we would also need to order olives and anchovies along with them. They were fine but I felt a bit put out that we had to order all the other nibbles along with the bread. The menu is not very varied. There is a steak option and a fish option. Other than that it's all pasta. It was tasty but not a huge portion, when it came out we ordered fries along with it so that we would have enough. The red wine was delicious but not cheap, a glass varies in price from €7.60 to €12. All in all, the meal was fine. The building itself is lovely and they have a gorgeous patio area. I didn't try a cocktail but they looked gorgeous so I'm sure as a drinks spot it's great. But for a meal I wouldn't be in any rush back. Mediocre food that's overpriced.

Yelp
I've been here for drinks on a night out and with guests from out of town, and finally for a really nice dinner! For a night out, this place is pretty pricey. Sure the drinks are served in vintage style glasses, but 12-13 EUR for a small glass of drink isn't really worth it? It also takes forever to get a drink because of the slow 'crafting' process. I will say - dinner was absolutely wonderful. You walk upstairs and there is an open air lounge feeling restaurant. I didn't think it was possible, but this place pulls off fancy casual. Fancy enough to where I was afraid to take pictures on a Saturday night for fear of being shamed, but casual enough so that you could wear jeans and a nicer top. You wouldn't want to walk in with leggings and a baggy shirt per se! To start off, we had bread and olive oil. We also got a cheese board - really nice! I had the squid ink pasta with scallops. It was what my pasta dreams are made of! This garlic lemony sauce was such a nice cover for it all! We also had the pumpkin risotto - holy moly - it was creamy and hearty! Highly recommend both! Our service was absolutely wonderful. They time your dishes based on when you're done with your last plate. Be sure to stop eating when you're done with a plate so the waiter knows to get your main course ready. That would be especially important for folks like us who were headed to he theatre right after!!

Yelp
I arranged to meet a friend last Thursday evening for a drink before dinner elsewhere. She got there before me and told me that they had a terrace. we ordered two cocktails and went out to have a look. There is a good bit of space on a couple of levels. We met at 5.30 so it was quiet. We grabbed a corner table and waited for our drinks. The cocktails were great. I had the Deep, Dark and Stormy before and as my friend loves ginger, I suggested this one to her. She loved it. I tried the Devils Margarita which had lime, blackcurrant and ginger as well as tequila and it was great. I asked our young waiter could we see the menus. We liked the look of the bar bites and decided after chatting for a while what while we would go for dinner after, we would have starters and wine in Drury Buildings. We had Arancini, Mackerel pate, Coley croquettes and crostini. Everything was tasty but I think I liked the pate best.We also ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio. We stayed for a couple of hours and it filled up while we were there. There was a lovely buzz about the place and we both enjoyed our visit. My friend meets her girlfriends every so often for a get together and I think DB is on her list. We paid 80.00 plus tip for 2 cocktails, 1 bottle of wine and 4 plates.

Yelp
We had a private event in Drury Buildings last weekend, it was a gathering of 30ish people. The bar staff were wonderful, friendly and got into the party mood with us a good deal. They were super accommodating and welcoming. Food was offered at the venue also, and while it was slow to come out, it was gorgeous, and everyone loved it. Absolute delighted with how the weekend went, and will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Ate here shortly after it opened and wasn't too impressed with the food (T-bone steak, mehh all round). Returned last week for Christmas party and it was much much better. Started with the coctechino sausage served with puy lentils - excellent and flavoursome, lentils were amazing. Had the rib eye for main - which was one of the best steaks I've had in Dublin. Sizeable, perfectly cooked and an excellent quality piece of meat m, it was perfection! Friends had the venison which was amazing also. Christmas pudding themed dessert was good but not really memorable. But after the first 2 courses it didn't really matter...
