Love the Boots! However, I was given sloppy service from Jennifer. As I approached register she was talking to some else without acknowledging me. It only added salt to my wound when she greeted next "customer".

The manager, Natasha, let me in to make a return, when I arrived at 9:02 p.m. she didn't want me to have to drive back, and told me they were staying late for inventory anyway. All I can say is just wow, this is customer service. She's definitely made me a loyal customer.

We really liked the store. This was my first time in a DSW but my wife says that they are larger and have more of a selection. I personally feel that they are on the higher side of my price point but I may have to come back because they have a few things I haven’t seen elsewhere yet. Parking was plentiful and the store was very clean and organized.

Wonderful customer service every kind of shoe that you would want or that you feel like you are missing it in this store love the prices and the selection that they have one of the best I’ve ever been.

Super uncomfortable shopping experience, felt like I was shopping in the ghetto and not in Post Oak. African American Security guard kept following anyone with brown skin so basically if you're Caucasian or Hispanic you can easily steal from here because the security guard will stalk only the brown shoppers. Wont be coming back!

Always has so much to choose from and a great selection… so don’t go here on your lunch break or just to kill time because you will spend money

I visited this store today for the 1st time: tidy, organized and huge selection. Outstanding customer service. An associate wearing a pamela hat talking to a girl in a ballerina outfit, carefully took her necklace off and gifted it to the little girl. I really want to enjoy the Salomon boots I bought today as much as I enjoyed witnessing that interaction between the associate and the little girl.

Come Here Often? You should be a DSW VIP. Not necessarily filled with designer shoes, but always fun for a quick stop to see what bargains they may have in store. Over the years, this store has stocked more and more of a hodgepodge of options. Of course there are shoes. Flats. Running shoes (although I'm a bit addicted to my HOKAs right now). Heels. Boots, including cowboy boots. Clogs. Flip-flops. You get the picture. Great to find discounts on Coach flats, Cole Haan wedges, and Birkenstocks. Headed to the beach? Grab some Reef flip-flops. Destination wedding? The Betsy Johnson pumps are so comfortable and so elegant. Or get a pair of bedazzled sneakers. Love their socks. Tapatio crew socks. Cool beans socks. Christmas socks. Dreidel socks. Puppies dressed up for Halloween. No show socks. Perfect for care package socks. They also have a hodgepodge of other items. Clear Totes umbrellas. Scrunchies and headbands. Burt's Bee lip balm. Even bird watchers travel mugs where you can record what birds you see, for my bird watching friends. Staff are incompetent! I purchased 4 pair of shoes and. Are home with 3 Had to drive back 40 min to get my shoes. I'll be sure to get compensation for my time!

DSW = Designer Shoe Outlet My friend, Gloria R. in LA, taught me about this great store! We found a Houston location and went to look... Wow! Such deals! Besides the free shared parking, the fabulous air conditioning, tidy interior, and convenient restroom, DSW has a large Clearance Section! It takes time to sort through everything, but it's worth it! My friend, Lisa M., found two pairs of footwear by some designer that I don't even know! She was thrilled with the discounted prices! I found a pair of boots which have a soft lining. I think I will be able to wear them when the weather is cooler... LOL! Note: This store also has flip flops, socks, tote bags, etc.

What an awful staff. They are so rude. I understand that it's time for the holidays, but they have no right to talk to people the way they do. Horrible customer service and I will never be returning here.

This store has horrible service! Walked in with the sales person wandering around the store, asked her to show me where the Birkenstocks were, she pointed to the opposite side of the store and said.. ummm idk, over there somewhere... I responded, umm can you show me? Because there are 20 rows off shoes between here and "over there" her response.. uggh I guess... the counter person wasn't any better... why are you people even working?? Store was totally empty.

I have been standing in line waiting to buy a pair of shoes with only one person at the checkout counter on a weekday at 11:30. The store has got to do better than this this is prime galleria store the owners of this company would not appreciate this do not come here if you don't mind waiting quite a long time to purchase your shoes

Wasn't great but wasn't terrible. We left empty handed so we weren't overly impressed. Came in looking for shoes for our 5 year old daughter. We hate spending tons of money on shoes for kids because they grow out of them so darn fast anyways. The kids clearance section was meager. The regular kids shoe prices seem high.

Please provide more chairs to sit and try the shoes. I kept looking and there were only 2 which were occupied. How do you expect me to try shoes standing? They did not have bags to carry two pairs of shoes. Who is the manager here....??

I don't really care too much of this location. The only reason why I go is because it's close to my work when I want to go there during my lunch break or something. I can not really stand some of the employees who work here. They have such a dry and bland personalities. All the other locations, esp the Westheimer one, is great. And actually make concessions for you... Here they have new people who want to prove that they earned the job so they don't really let you get away with anything they just stick straight to the script which is annoying... LOL

Had $600 worth of product in my hand but couldn't find anyone to take my money. The 4 girls behind the counter were too busy chatting.

Great selection of shoes here. Always check out the sale section first and then make my way through the regular priced shoes. I went in late last night ( 40 minutes until closing) and several employees were very assistive. Two or three asked if there was anything they could get for me which seemed silly because I thought all the sizes were already available on display but I was happy they had asked. Also if you sign up for their rewards program they will give you a $5 discount for your birthday!

I work in the hospitality industry so writing a review that doesnt just want to rave about an establishment is really hard for me to do. I wanted to return a pair of shoes i decided they just didnt fit the look & the system to take returns was down (in no way the stores fault, totally technology's) but the slaes associate suggested going to another store, which I did, ONLY to get there and that system was down as well!! Luckily that associate called another store before just sending me to find out if this was an all stores issue. Moving forward to the next day, to save myself the hassel i called the 1st store i previously visited to confirm the system was back to normal & the customer service via phone made me feel like I was disturbing the associate for asking before I drove out there again. I know people have bad days but 2 days in a row by 2 separate people with disgruntled attitudes really makes me want to get out of the store & never come back.

I have been calling this store for the past 2 days trying to speak to someone about a purchase I made online that were supposed to get delivered to their store... I was out on hold every call for 7 or more minutes. I have proof of calling 9 times and being placed on hold. This is such an inconvenience. Spending my hard earned money with a company who can't even assist you with a few questions

Shoe lovers beware - this place will be your downfall. Literally so many shoes its hard to imagine. This is a great place to come when you need something to match a special outfit or when you know you want a certain style but want to see what is currently trending. On top of their regular aisles they have a massive clearance area that is well organized and easy to navigate. You'll also find purses, handbags, socks, and some accessories for sale.

I have to admit that I used to not "get" DSW. From afar, it looked like a generic discount shoe store where you had to do most of the work of finding what you wanted and their prices seemed high. After closer inspection however, I saw that their shoes really are high quality brands AND models. If you want running shoes, they have mid-level shoes from around $40 going up to over $100 from all the major brands (though personally I will never buy New Balance again after the company's position on a certain election). The whole atmosphere is fun and no pressure as well. At Macy's I remember the lady would roll her eyes every time I would ask if they had a size I needed and that she had to go back to check, but everything is up front here. Also, remember that they mail you coupons now and again for $5, $10, or more off. They have a knack for sending them when I don't need any shoes but every now and again, the timing is perfect. So far I've only had one pair of shoes from there where things went wrong (eyelet broke off after a month) and I dealt with the manufacturer directly but overall I've been happy.

Wow! It's definitely a warehouse! I was looking for a purse and I wasn't disappointed. DSW doesn't just have shoes. They carry purses and other accessories. When I went to this location, I found plenty of parking. Inside there was aisle after aisle of shoes. Men and women of all types were here shopping. I headed for the purse section and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection! I didn't expect to see so many purses, especially the higher end name brand ones. I spent at least 30 minutes trying out different purses. I found that all the purses were marked down significantly from their suggested retail prices. I also saw a staff member who was restocking the purses. It's nice to have an organized and updated area to look through. I ended up with a black leather purse for $89 (originally over $130). I really don't like shopping at all! It was nice to find a super friendly cashier when I was checking out. I didn't have (nor did I want) a DSW rewards card. She immediately asked me if I knew anyone else who had one and she could credit their account. I never thought of that! So I gave her my step-mom's phone number and she got the shopping credit! I liked that the cashier wasn't going to waste the credit. I'll definitely be back, maybe next time I'll actually check out the massive shoe selection.

I have decided that this is my favorite DSW. I've been to a few in the suburbs and both inside and outside the loop, but here is where there is quality, variety, and sizes that work for me! Plus, I like how open and not so claustrophobic it feels. Each time I'm here, I buy something that works for me and my budget. So, yes, go here if you need shoes for a special occasion or any occasion and quickly!

I miss the previous staff that worked here. The new setup for checking out is worse than before. Their machine also fails to read gift cards. Since it gives an error, you will need to punch in all the million numbers listed on the back of card and the pin. The sale marking additional 30% is not really a sale. Limited sizes in wide width. Go one size in regular shoe size to accommodate your feet. Or another option is heading across the street.

I love love love DSW especially Post Oak Blvd, Houston. I visit there whenever I'm in town and receive the best service and best selection of footwear. A big shout out to Jovon who helped my non shopper husband lol buy four pair of trainers today. Jovon was so friendly and also checked us out from the store with such a polite and friendly mannerism....Jovon is a huge asset to DSW. Thanks DSW!

this is a great place to buy cheap designer shoes. they have a ton! and even have a clearance section in the back. (that's where i always go to) they prices are affordable and selection amazing. both men and women and kids as well. one thing i do notice, is my shoes from here last about a year before they start to fall apart. i.e. ripped seams, heels coming unglued. but still, i go.

Lots of choices and plenty of sizes for ladies. The men's selection is decent but much smaller. Always checkout the clearance racks for great bargains. I even like how in-store returns and exchanges can be made for on-line purchases. I like going here because of the savings but wish there was better parking. I was lucky this time to catch someone leaving but parking in the weekend can be a challenge.

Very high traffic and messy. A lot of shoes were in the wrong spots and the air conditioner was not working.

I've been going to DSW around the country for years. This may be the largest store I've been in yet. And the selection is staggering. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program. Earn points when you buy fabulous shoes. So you can turn in your points for money towards more fabulous shoes!

I like the location of this store and the layout. It's large and they have a good inventory. Mostly every shoe has the size I needed. I experienced very good customer service, with all of the employees being extra friendly. I like to shop online and DSW offers free returns to stores, and shipping to stores also. This makes returns easy!

It's a warehouse full of shoes, go figure! Crappy lighting and decor,but fabulous deals - snatched a $40 pair of strappy silver sandals to go to wedding and finished my purchase within 15minutes. There are designer shoes ie. Sergio Rossi ($199 with 40% off old season) It was giving me a headache, but I was in and out and that's the way it should be! there's a sign up - "they're fixing it up" - thank god! Add some lights, maybe a nice golden color to the walls, what about ceiling fans so it's not so stuffy! And nicer chairs to try on the shoes instead of benches!

Bad bad customer service. So sad this one is my closest store. I went in for a store return, I forgot my debit card, so the lady said if I got store credit I didn't need my card, but I would lose the shipping cost. If I came back with my card, I would get the full amount. So I took that and went home. I came back another day with my debit card, and they said the shipping cost was non refundable, so I lost $8 anyway. That was a waste of time, gas, and afford. The traffic in that area is horrible. Their employee was not trained properly, and ended up providing fault information to customer. What a disappointment!

The register is so incredibly slow. There was only 1 associate and she was moving at snail's speed. I saw a couple other associates wandering around in stores but none came to help.

The store itself is fine, but customer service is bad. When there are long lines they do not call for assistance to get the line moving. They just let the line keep growing. The long waits are frustrating bc there are clearly other associates working who could be helping.

Recently went to this store to return some shoes. I had used a reward and didn't ask if I would get a credit for the reward. When the salesperson credited my credit card for the return she said she added the reward back but she really didn't have to. ... spoke as if she had some authority ... possibly a manager but not certain. Because I didn't ask- I felt this comment was a bit rude and it left a bad impression with me. I buy shoes from this DSW on a regular basis and love their merchandise, never had an issue with returns or their customer service. and I shop at this store because I live close by. However, I may need to rethink shopping at this location because of this incident. Never had issues at the Westheimer location.

Recently bought shoes and I was amazed the shoe selection/styles have not changed in years. I would have thought being in a uptown location they would have trendier shoes. The purses were very dated & not much to choose from. The store was disorganized and messy. I'd advise anyone not to invest their time looking for new trendy shoes. The Post Oak store is far from being qualified to be a Power 35 location. It's the Galleria area where customers want designer quality. They need to focus on revamping their whole concept & vision. The outlets carry better merchandise.

Your average DSW store. Good deals on a lot of shoes! They have a lot of registers, so the line to check out is usually pretty quick!

This store is a must visit for any of those that love everything they see in department stores, but don't feel like paying full price. Everything starts about 15% off retail and can go up to that special yellow sticker for 80% off. They always have a healthy choice of Michael Kors, Cole Haan, Guess, B. Makowsky, Badgley Mischka, Tahari, etc. So it can get a little dangerous to your credit card. Hey the name is Designer Shoe Warehouse and they deliver. What is great about this location is that they do carry more higher end designers than the other locations since they are in the Galleria area. If you catch them at the right time you can find Gucci, Valentino and Prada in the CLEARANCE SECTION!!! No joke! I'm very jealous of the men's selection some times. The hubby and I went in to look for something for me and he left with Gucci at 80% off! With our gift card it came out to $15, simply unbelievable. The men's section is definitely undiscovered territory because the hubby always finds an amazing deal every trip. My only complaint is that most of their selection starts at women's 6.5, so I'm not always successful on my shoe search. Which is frustrating from a place this size. Granted most stores don't carry very many size 5's, but you would think in a warehouse there would be more to be found. If you feel like you could become a regular here make sure to sign up for the Rewards Card. It keeps track of your purchases and once you spend a certain amounts they send you coupons. Plus you get a special coupon on your birthday to treat yourself to some new shoes!

Oh shoes...why do I love you so?? DSW is my go to place for clearance rack rolling. It's kind of like low riding or creeping through the hood. You don't want to be too obvious that you don't want to pay full price for anything, and you don't want to let a good pair walk away on someone elses feet! This DSW is ginormous and I have found some real gems here. I recently picked up a pair of leopard print flats (similar to the much pricier Tory Burch style) for about $30 and a sparkly pair of silver glitter slingback platform heels for my NYE 2012 dinner for about the same price. I don't like how crowded this store always is, as I prefer to bargain shop without the competition. It is the Galleria area, so I guess I can't expect there to be many slow days here. Will I come back? Damn straight...I have an addiction and there is no intervention for my drug.

This place is so dangerous for me. Yet it's like an addiction that I just can't ignore. It has EVERYTHING! And of all the DSW stores in Houston, this location has the best clearance rack selection. Trust me. I found this fact shocking considering that this is the Galleria area and my initial thought was that, certainly, the clearance racks would be thoroughly picked over. But that is never the case. My theory is that the store is next to River Oaks and our dear River Oaks friends do not mind paying full price. Which is fine with me because that means many more cute clearance shoes to choose from! I give this store 4 stars rather than 5 for three reasons: (1) The bags are uber-cute, but are ridiculously over-priced. It just makes me mad. (2) The music always knocks me off my feet. I don't know about you, but I need to focus when I buy shoes! Perhaps I am easily distracted, but it's hard when a beat is blaring in my eardrums. My 3rd reason is mercenary: I always, ALWAYS spend at least 2x as much as I plan when I walk in this store. Is that a good or bad thing? You decide. But this location is definitely a treat. The people are friendly and the selection is huge. Happy Shopping.

I am absolutely IN LOVE WITH DSW. Not only because it's everything they say they are, designer shoes for less, but the fact they ALWAYS accept expired coupons! AND you can combine up to 3 coupons! Not exactly sure on the details and restrictions but thats what I was told by a sales associate. I also recently discovered this location sells discounted Michael Kors bags, and a couple other name-brands as well. Such an awesome feeling when you see a pair of wedges that were originally $120, then discounted for $90, with an additional 30% off sticker slapped on, and then you use your '$20 off any pair $49 ore more'' coupon and get it for $45! This place is like my crack house for shoes.

Found an adorable pair of leather flats in the clearance section, but was disappointed when I noticed they had a stain and a scratch. Honestly liked them so much I was willing to take them anyway if they at least gave me a 10% discount. Even if I would then no longer be able to return them. The manager was immediately dismissive. I then found another pair of flats for 49.99 retailing online for 29.99. The manager once again was not willing to consider price matching or a discount. I bought both pairs of shoes anyway, but it left such a sour taste in my mouth that I went back two days later to return. I will never go back to DSW again. Customer Service is of utmost importance and it seems like they just dont get that.

This is a great place to get shoes! They have a fantastic variety and selection of everything, from athletic shoes to work shoes to high heels and everything in between. They also sell really cute socks. The employees are helpful and the store is clean. The rewards program is great and they always send coupons in the mail and online.

Not so great for men. I bought some boots from there and both soles fell off within a week. they were like $100 Steve Maddux and I thought they looked pretty cool and I love buying boots since I don't have to buy another pair for like 20 years. But I've never experienced a shoe falling apart this fast in my life. I guess I can't blame the store so much.. but I hate parking there. Also they don't have anything really super cheap. Their mens athletic shoe selection annoys me too. They have a lot of shoes, but nothing good for running. I like shoes that have like wide sized new balances etc and special running shoes but they mainly have stuff that looks kind of cool. I'm sure it's a much better store for women as this seemed to be 90% of their customers.

There are a lot of shoes, and I'm sure that many people have found the pair that they've been looking for, but like Anna W., I've also never walked away with a pair of shoes from here. The prices are consistently decent, but the shoe models have never been quite the level that I've wanted... especially when it comes to athletic shoes. They've always been slightly lower level models of the brands (Nike, adidas, reebok, etc) that I like (if that makes any sense). I guess I'm super picky about my shoes, especially for running cuz I can't stand to buy a pair of shoes only to find them uncomfortable a month later and well past the point of no return. Nothing against DSW, but I've had better luck with Nordstrom Rack for my feet.

I frequent several of the DSW's in H-town. With a common size 9 foot, it's best to shop around. Of all the DSW's I frequent, this one is my second favorite. It's always super clean and the shoes are straightened. I know this probably doesn't sound like a shopping priority for most. However, as a former shoe store employee, my serious OCD kicks in when walking the isles. I can't help but start straighten the shoes, fix the boxes, pick up trash, etc. At this location - I never have to do that. In addition to the cleanliness of the place, the employees are always super-helpful and friendly. Oh, we don't have the size 9 in that style? Let me look to see if area stores might have it so we can save you the wait of shipping it to you. I do so much shoe shopping at DSW that I've been promoted to Premier status. This means I earn those sweet rewards coupons more frequently and in higher denominations...as well as receive free shipping on online purchases.

DSW, what can I say? You will always be one of my biggest time consumers and wallet-thinners. When you walk in, if you're a shoe lover, your immediate reaction will be "is this heaven? are all these aisles JUST shoes?" But if you happen to be dragged there by a shoe lover and you yourself do not share in this hobby, you will probably say "omg, is this real? what have i done? why did i come? are all these aisles JUST shoes?" The prices are not bad, but being a student, I just pass up all the usual aisles and head straight to the back for the sales rack are. In the back, everything is 30-80%off. Each shoe box has a different color sticker which indicates the percentage off. What I do find frustrating is that they switch the colors around once in a while, so I always have to check. It's well-organized, clean, the staff is nice, but there always seems to be a shortage of the try-on stockings so if you don't like your feet actually touching shoes, come with your own socks/hosiery. Will I be back? Yes, but I do wish I could escape DSW's magical pull on me, but I am now a lost soul to this shoe empire.

The store has great shoes but the customer service is atrocious. The line is long to pay the cashiers all share same brain. People can't think for themselves anymore the millenials are all one brain. A person was able to walk to a store at one time wear shoes out give the box to charge throw out the olds shoes but at DSW ohh nooo it at all had to take new shoes off then ask you for phone number email address social security they want to know your whole Busines to sign you up for newsletters and promotions you don't want you just want shoes. Had to take my shoes off I wanted them to throw away my old shoes that they can't to either. Then ask if I want to donate them I said tell me where the bonus you just can't put them in a bun a sales person has to take you to the bin. Thus took more than 10 minutes all I wanted to do was pay throw my shoes away and leave should. Have taken all but 5 minutes at the most. Stores like DSW have become incompetent and that's why I shop on amazon I can't take stupidity and millenials stupidity.

Size isn't everything, y'all. Sure, DS-dubs is huge, but I've never walked away with a pair of shoes each time I've come here. It has a lot of shoes from the standard brands (Guess, Steven Madden, etc.), but no brands you wouldn't find at a department store, so DS-dubs is not a place for my flat, wide feet that hates most high heels. Plus, though everything's discounted, you rarely get into the 50% discount range--it's mostly 20-40% off. There's a sale section in the back with about three 4-5 tiered racks in each size, but nothing to call a gal pal about. The more expensive shoes ($200+) are in the aisle to the far right of the store, and DS-dubs has some bags and socks/hosiery. Basically, for a wider selection of shoes with greater discounts, especially when they have an additional % off or $25 off $125, I check out the sale sections of online retailers that have free shipping and free return shipping (e.g. endless.com, piperlime.com).

I was weary when I first walked in as mobs of women click clacked from one show rack to another. There are 50 show mirrors around, and VERY LIMITED man couches for relaxation. They do offer decent discounts from MSRP - but also have a very affordable clearance sale at the end of the store. Boxes are color coded for convenience and there is plenty of parking in front of the store. Get your new (deseinger) kicks here.

I love the regular coupons, birthday coupons, and the fact that one is able to double coupons. The membership program really is a good bang for ones buck. I don't buy shoes as often as most women, so I can appreciate a return on the little money that I do spend. The coupons can be used on shoes or bags/wallets! They can also be doubled! During my last visit, I also noticed that jewelry is available for purchase. So, don't just go, also be sure to join the membership program.

A paradise for shoe lovers! I've been to the other DSW near Hillcroft a few years ago, was terribly disappointed with the selection of shoes, left empty-handed, never to return. I decided to check out this location as it is nearer to me and also I could check out Macy's as well, in case, I didn't find a good fit here. This store has a wide selection of shoes, ranging from everyday wear to evening sandals. I got myself a pair of super comfy dress sandals, stunning purple pumps and classy black kitten heels for everyday wear. I picked up all three from the clearance section and usually clearance section does not have much to offer for size 8 peeps. But, this place is different. I got very good deals on these shoes and they are cheaper in store than online. The store is organized and the service is quick and friendly. I observed that most shoppers piled up on shoes at check out. The store also offers some cute clutches as well as totes. I would highly recommend this store to any shoe shopper out there. There is something for everyone!

I am definitely a fan of this location. Good selection, moderately friendly sales staff, and making returns is incredibly easy -- save the long line. I have always walked away with at least two pairs of shoes (mostly flats and heels). I did look at the running shoes and the selection is lackluster (Read Anna W. and Long T's reviews). However, if I were to get running shoes, I would go to Run Tex or Luke's Locker -- somewhere where the sales staff knows running shoes. However, I digress. The only downside about this store is the location (corner of Westheimer and Post Oak) and the tiny, tiny parking lot. Parking is crazy around the holidays, evening early in the morning. Enjoy your shoe shopping!
