Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai

The hotel is conveniently located across from the Marriott Hotel. Great location for easy access to night market and many famous restaurants on the same street. Excellent pool and gym. Cheap for the area. The gym has a sauna and steam room. Recommend

We planned our trip to celebrate my 50th birthday at Chiang Mai. Hotel is huge and neat with all facilities for a 5 star hotel. Great location with everything nearby. Night market is just 5 mins walk with huge variety of street foods. Mc’Donalds, Starbucks, Hardrock cafe, all within 2 mins walking distance. Plenty of massage parlours n bars nearby. It’s the most happening place in Chiang Mai. ||With Bolt app, u get taxi at a very reasonable price from the hotel to everywhere around Chiang Mai. For my surprise, they surprised me with a birthday cake n card. I would highly recommend this hotel for everyone. They have a huge pool and huge gym, with everything working.||Thanks to all staffs who are very helpful n friendly!! Highly recommend 👍🏻

Haven’t got any photos of the hotel itself other than the pool area but location was amazing. Right next to the night market (Bazzarr) and hands down the best night market I’ve been to so far. There was also a lot of temples close by and nice restaurants and bars. We also did ‘Sticky waterfalls’ and went to the elephant sanctuary just outside of Chiang Mai which was an amazing experience. The location of this hotel makes this 5/5 as it is close by to everything. Would recommend to anyone.

Honestly for my first visit to CM to this hotel, it felt like a dead area, but then I realised its one day after songkran so most shops were still not open for business, the next few days felt alot more alive. Plenty of bars nearby on the left side, 7 11 just opposite the hotel, and bike rental opposite too, right side is a crowded night market. All walkable actually if you don't mind walking. Good location. If you're staying in the old city recommend this place. If you prefer the new city area would stay somewhere else.

Good location with many restaurants nearby. A night market is just with 5 minutes walking distance. The room is spacious with full facilities for guests. With some renovation works in the hotel will definitely add value to its branding. Good breakfast with minor changes in the menu everyday.

This hotel was rated 4 stars- really it should be a 3. Location was very good- close to the Night Market and Old City. Lots of restaurants, massage places within walking distance. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was ok. Good coffee, lots of variety of offerings but always seemed to be out of fruit. The staff was friendly in the restaurant. There were several stores and restaurants within walking distance but also some girlie bars if you’re into that kind of thing. We did not use the gym or pool. The hotel itself was old, worn out and not clean. Allegedly a SHA+ but the bathroom was dirty, the floors were dirty and I have my concerns whether we had clean sheets. Air conditioning was difficult to adjust- it was always freezing even after someone from maintenance came to look at it. There was an escalator on the ground floor that was out of order the whole time we were there (5 days). It was not a hotel I would return to if I visit Chiang Mai again.

19th floor suite. plenty of room with a seperate bedroom and two bathrooms.|The lounge room was comfy and the fridge was good.|Great location to the night food markets and stalls.|The pool area is good watch out for hot tiles.|All the staff are good and the breakfast is big with great variety and fresh.

Overall for the price I won’t complain. Great location, service okay, cleanliness slightly below average (mostly because It is an older antiquated establishment). Just pack some Clorox wipes and shower shoes. There is a 7-11 right across the street in case you need anything. Breakfast was average but the pool and spa was great.
