I'd love to lie and say it was dreadful, to discourage other people so it was easier to book again... but I can't. Ideal location, decent price, really great staff across all departments. We stayed in July, so were grateful for the fan in the room, and on a Monday night so it wasn't too noisy. Bed was comfy, but the electrics were a bit weird. We will definitely be back.

We were in Dublin for a few days so wanted to be in the heart of the City. This hotel was perfect for our needs. The reception guys are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are quiet even though it’s literally around the corner from Temple Bar. Buses (including the tour buses) are in the road outside. The trams are minutes away. I wish we hadn’t bothered to hire a car. It was completely unnecessary necessary. However if you do there are several car parks. Remember they charge inner city prices. Back to the hotel, it’s clean, quiet and the staff are great. Thank you guys for a great visit. I know I’ll be back

Very comfortable bed and very helpful staff.|But we aware it is over a loud bar. |Loved the helpful staff at the desk and the room itself.|Bar goes until about 1am with LOUD music. They support earplugs as part of the stay. So if you are okay with that this is a good location.|Very centrally located to a lot of tourist attractions and things to do.|It was convenient to go to the bar then up to our room without having to go outside.

This hotel, next to the Trinity Bar, is quaint, dated and simple. Loved it. In my solo travels, I stayed in a small single room with a twin bed, tv, bathroom and a few other small items. No glam and luxury - just a clean, basic hotel with a lot of character. Rooms were very reasonable and perfect for my trip. Also, have lovely larger rooms for 2+. Area is very busy with bars, so not very quiet. A few short blocks from Trinity College.

I had an absolutely delightful stay here and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Arriving earlier than the check-in time was no hassle at all—I was warmly welcomed, able to leave my bag safely, and enjoyed some lovely refreshments at the bar while I waited.||The room itself was cosy, clean, and incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect retreat for a restful night. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely touch, but I chose to upgrade for a small additional cost, and it was well worth it—truly delicious!||What stood out the most was the exceptional service. Every member of staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible.||Without a doubt, I will be returning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay!

Google
Great place, the rooms are functional as long as you're not looking for high end. They are very clean and the location, pub attached (especially for sport) is amazing. Great staff and at a price point which is very reasonable for the location. Great pick for a cheap weekend away in the center of Dublin.

Google
Hotel a little tired looking but serviced its purpose. Location was good for nightlife and access to Oylimpia theatre. Unfortunately being single glazed there was a lot of early traffic noise although earplugs had been provided. Room was very hot despite turning of the radiator when we arrived. Bed was comfortable and clean, bathroom could do with an upgrade, showering was difficult due to positioning of shower head and curtain making the space very small.

Unfortunately we had a last minute change of plans, literally 5pm after 3pm checkin time. When I called to inform them they were very polite when I explained the situation. I told them I would understand completely if they couldn't refund the money as it was after checkin time on the day of arrival. The gentleman on the phone said, if he could sell the room he would refund my money but he couldn't if the room stayed vacant. I completely understood this and said it was fine. I guess they sold the room because my money has been refunded. I an grateful for that and commend the Citi Hotel for this. I hope to get back there someday and will definitely stay there.

Yelp
It's prehistoric and just not nearly worth what they charge! No elevator and extremely steep stairs, so if you're older or even the slightest bit handicapped don't, you won't like it. The room is sooooo small... "how small is it" you may ask. I had to get in the shower sideways while sucking in my gut. If you're 5'10" or above with even a slight paunch, you'll barely fit into the shower. It's literally the smallest hotel room I've ever seen, and I've stayed in some pretty questionable digs in the Czech Republic before... No fridge, no microwave, no nothing really. And again, it's just located in such a loud party zone. Even if your sole purpose is to party? I can't see you choosing this place for the price.

Yelp
Hotel is located in the busy Temple bar district/neighborhood. Hotel is connected to the Trinity Bar. You can hear all of the street noise until around 0400 hours. The hotel gives you earplugs. I would only use this hotel for sleeping and nothing more. Hotel has tiny rooms with no amenities. Bathroom attached to the room was cramped and tiny. The shower was a tiny cube where two doors came together to close. If you are a larger sized individual or have any mobility issue this place is not for you, as it'd be near impossible to use the shower.

Yelp
Bed bugs!!!!! I know that Ireland uses Trip Advisor more for things but since we could not load the bed bug pics there I am writing another review here. This hotel is not what they advertise, it's old, dirty, smells and had bed bugs. The staff is very nice but did not make up for the fact that my friend was attacked by bed bugs. We were given free breakfast for the room not looking anything like the pics online, we were also reimbursed for the night we did not stay in this dump however we should have been reimbursed for this whole unbearable stay!!!!!!

Yelp
I would give it 5 starts, but hotels are NOT a universal language. Some people can't handle small rooms... Some people don't like old buildings... Some people don't like outdated decor... I can stay at the Four Seasons and appreciate a beautifully maintained and decorated room, but I can also appreciate old world architecture, in a really convenient location, with amazing staff, and everything I need to sleep, bathe, and survive for a few days. Free wifi, a tub, an electric pot, and a clean room, close to all the nightlife and attractions, yet not too loud at night, (or maybe I was just drunk?) and easy to get to with public transportation. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
I visited the hotel bar and paid with a Visa credit card. They charged me in US dollars instead of Euros, applying a 3.50% mark-up -- all without telling me beforehand or offering me a choice! My credit card company does not charge me any foreign transaction fees. I gain absolutely no benefit from this "dynamic currency conversion" -- it only serves to enrich the merchant with their hidden 3.50% fee. Visa's merchant guidelines require merchants to disclose their dynamic currency conversion practices and obtain the customer's permission beforehand. I reached out to the hotel and they refused to give me a refund of their 3.50% markup. This is a total scam.

Yelp
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. A hostel would be far better. room tiny, noise was outrageous all night, bed extremely uncomfortable, tv had 2 channels. shower was terrible. all in all a very bad ran hotel.

Yelp
So my friend and I booked this hotel thinking that it was better then the one we booked, boy were we wrong! First of all it was old as dirt but we chose it because it it was in the middle of the city. We were compt'd free breakfast because the place was DIRTY but that wasn't the worst part. They offered us a different room but that one was just as small and dirty so we didn't want to bother lugging our stuff after a very stressful trip from London. When I woke up the very next day, I noticed bug bites on me while walking around Dublin. I ignored it at first but then got the hitch that something was not adding up! What kind of mosquito would bite me that many times especially in my lower back and feet when I had not been wearing sandals? So I went back to the room hoping that it was just my imagination. Long story short, it wasn't! I lifted my sheets to find a bed bug relaxing on my bed!!!! After coming from a very nice 4 star hotel in London and waking up with no bites at check out, I knew that it was from this bed. I was mortified. I googled "bedbug" and there it was, the same exact pest I saw laying in my bed. The receptionist, Amid, was VERY apologetic but even he refused to look at the photos. How do you think I felt having to lay with them? We took a shower and got out as quickly as possible. We asked the manager call us right away because at this point I was covered in bites and we wanted our money back. The manager Daniel contacted me the next day and was very apologetic after confirming a dead bed bug was indeed in the bed. But what he reported next was almost impossible. He said that he had pest control come out (it was about 8:30-9:00am at this time) who that yes that was a bed bug but there were no more. First of all, how did he get pest control to come out so quickly when he wanted to hear nothing of it the night it was discovered and secondly, since when do bed bugs travel solo. I mean please, they lay 10 eggs a day, each!!!! Long story short, Daniel did refund us the money for the night we discovered it and left but didn't give us the money back for the day that the damn things were actually biting me and sucking the life out of me!!! On top of that, we had to pay for a taxi to another hotel(clean Hilton) and then another to the airport. I gave Daniel the opportunity to think long and hard about his decision NOT to refund us the money as I warned that I would let potential customers know about his disgusting bed bug infestation instead of allowing him and his team to treat the issue not only in room 305 but in the ENTIRE building. He obviously wasn't concerned after even confirming that there were bed bugs and that I had taken pictures of my bites and the bed bug itself. My next steps are to contact Ireland's health department and to spread the news of this infestation wherever I'm allowed. This is disgraceful. I had to spend my last day in Ireland scratching these embarrassing bites and brainstorming how I would prevent these pest from coming with me to the States and plaguing my own home. I say this to say, DO NOT stay here. There are other hotels that are in the area that you can stay that are not infested with bed bugs. We stayed at nice hotels during our 1-2 week stay and did not have to deal with the this. I'm not a vindictive person but management clearly does not care about the well being of their customers or the fact that they can bring the pest home. There's not amount of money that is worth compromising someone's health or well being!!! I will post pictures, I cannot make this up. Besides the bed bugs, the hotel is very centrally located however it is very loud and someone was stretched out right in front with police and ambulances surrounding the guy. Do not expect to sleep!!! You've been warned!

Yelp
The best part about Citi Hotel was the location. Right down town in the middle of the action. The price is a bit steep, but I guess it's what you get if you want to stay in this location. We didn't have breakfast so I can't speak to that, but our room was clean. And there was a full shower/bathtub which is a plus. The street can be a bit loud which doesn't bother us, but just something be aware of. Th front desk staff were nice enough, but there was no one around when we wants to check out. It was at 6 am, but we had a bus to catch to the airport. I wouldn't entirely be opposed to staying here again, but would probably research other options as well.

Yelp
City centre hotel with three bars and a nightclub in Dublin. Ideal if you're visiting Dublin to party, because even with double glazing, the three bars, the nightclub, and the location on the edge of Temple Bar means that this isn't a quiet hotel. Having said that, the upstairs lounge bar is ideal to spend a quiet Sunday afternoon on a sofa with a hair of the dog or a cup of tea and the papers recovering from a Saturday night. Ideally located for the nightlife in Temple Bar and the tourist sights during the day. The room we had was small and basic, and like all of Dublin it's definitely not cheap, but we'd happily stay here again.

Yelp
I'd give it no stars if I could, but my voice must be heard. Most expensive place we stayed during our trip, and by far the worst. The view is nice and it looks like a decent place once you find it, but don't be fooled. It seemed like a joke that so many things could go wrong in 2 days. We had 2 rooms, both terrible so it wasn't just unique to one. 3 provided blow dryers started sparking when being used and burned out. The wifi went out every few seconds. The shower took almost 10 minutes to heat up and the nozzle came loose and spread water around the bathroom. The tub itself was small and uncomfortable to stand in. The toilet paper felt like sand paper. The bed was stained and there was a big black beetle crawling under the sheets. The power outlets blew out and wouldn't work anymore. The lights were flickering and went out (in the middle of my shower, of course). The big bed was 2 little ones pushed together. I've never had such a bad experience anywhere before, and the front desk really didn't care. The fact that it costs so much is really the extra kick in the ass... Awful.
