Dubravka 1836 Restaurant & Cafe

This is the spot to come for coffee or a glass of wine but not to eat. We ate lunch here and came back for just drinks. The service was very slow (even in the slower winter months). We would come back for drinks but definitely not to eat. Salmon: 2/5 Grilled Squid: 3.5/5 Grilled Vegetables: 3.5/5 Bread: 3/5

I highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered grilled octopus, rib eye , assorted fish and bread. The octopus tastes really good with the pumpkin sauce! It’s also very soft. The server is also very nice and provided good service. I would definitely come again if I visit Dubrovnik.

Beautiful restaurant with bay view over the Adriatic. Located right outside Pile Gate, with heavy tourists clientele, the restaurant takes itself seriously with good food and service- not the typical indifferent tourist trap. We came for a quick lunch but ended up with an excellent lunch. And our server was superlative, provided helpful detailed honest descriptions and recommendations, ensured that our food was served hot (despite our having to take an unscheduled juice spillage wardrobe rescue break) and that everything was as expected. He obviously took pride in ensuring we had a good experience and a total credit to Dubravka 1836.

Was a nice day out, we did book months in advance to have a 2pm booking right on edge with a beautiful view. The tables right on the edge are absolutely worth it. The food was very yummy and I had a delicious risotto. I was disappointed as online mentions they have gluten free options but they aren't listed of the menu and the waiter we had knowledge of which options on the menu that are gluten free were poor. I do appreciate the kitchen making the meal gluten free for me. The gluten free bread was also delicious, best I had in Dubrovnik. Wine list and beer selection was good and not to over priced. Definitely make some time to visit even if it's just for a drink because the view is breathtaking. They did have little tables to have a drink at if you aren't able to get a reservation. We drove up because the cable car was very expensive and from the restaurant looked very crowded and like it would be a fast journey.

Great view, service, and food. View was stunning and food was wonderful. Definitely get the mussels (although mussels meat is very small but good flavor) and grilled fish! Both are delicious and remember to get bread to soak up the yummy broth from the mussels. Not rating 5 stars because it started to rain and we asked to server to move inside ( we only started eating the main courses). He said there might not be room, basically wanting us to wolf down the meal. Which we did to avoid the rain, when we paid and went in to use the restroom. There were more than 8 tables open! Not sure why they let some people move in but not the others.

This restaurant is excellent, offering not only a wonderful view but also great service. The portions are generously sized, ensuring you leave satisfied. The Lavanda Spritz is a delightful and unique drink that stands out. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with both stunning scenery and delicious food.

We had a perfect romantic dinner just outside the city walls. The prices were a bit higher than other restaurants, but nothing out of the ordinary. The dishes were really well prepared. I had the schnitzel (which was quite big) and my girlfriend had large pizza. The service was very professional and friendly. We had some very tasty wines as well. If you are in Dubrovnik and want a romantic dinner with a perfect view and nice food, this is the place to go to!

We all had a great time for lunch there ! The meal and service are excellent ! We shared meal that the staff were really helpful to prepare individual plate for us. We seated near the sea that atmosphere was perfect ! Price was reasonable in such a great environment and service.
