I booked here for 6 nights at short notice after my other plans fell through and it ended up being the perfect stay. The owner is so nice and accomodating and has a lot of helpful recommendations for the area. The location is great if you want to be in a quieter area and close to so many beautiful beaches that are less crowded. It’s a super easy bus ride to Old Town. I loved my stay here and felt so comfortable the whole week. I was a solo female traveller in the mixed dorm.

Very kind and helpful owner, you can easily get to the old town by bus. I had the private room as the dorm was full. You will get history lessons and great tips for your visit. Highlight of the trip

My daughter and I stayed here and felt very comfortable happy and well looked after. Breakfast was fantastic cooked by the lovely host Milka my apologies if iv spelt her name wrong. A warm and generous host. We were supplied with plenty of information by Joseph, Milka’s son about how to get around and what to see. Milka’s husband who we called Mr Goodman told us lovely stories over a good local red wine. The room was very good. Thanks for a great stay 😘😊

We came with a friend all the way from Argentina. Amazing hostel. Ivi was the best host at all times, such a good guy. 10 minutes drive to the Old Town makes it an amazing location also. If you are going to Dubrovnik you should definitely consider staying at Dubrovnik Backpackers Club. To Ivi: Muchas gracias amigo!

The really outstanding thing about this place are the people running it. Ive is the kindest host l've ever met traveling. He helped plan our whole trip around Dubrovnik and neighboring destinations. Sending links for the BEST secret local locations and answering endless questions. He also hosted us for a BBQ with his friends. that offered great conversation and insight to life in Croatia. He's helpful, kind, and great communicator. The place is also cute and charming, in a beautiful location.

Had a warm and wonderful week of stay here. The hosts, particularly Ive, are very welcoming and friendly, helpful and informative about tourist activities and the city in general, and make for great conversation generally! The location is scenic on its own and also very well connected to the Old City and downtown by public transit, and restaurants and bakeries are a 10 minute walk away.

I had a wonderful stay here! The owner really makes you feel like you’re at home and part of the family. The location is great for reaching the beaches and hikes. The view from the patio is lovely as well. It has all the amenities that you need and is close to a bus stop in case you wanted to get anywhere within Dubrovnik. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Good things:|Yes, the family is nice. The hostel offers a ride from the airport for 240 Kuna, pretty reasonable because the hostel is really far.|Average things:|The breakfast is quite expensive but was good quality (homemade). There are several trips offered but too expensive. The rooms are ok, with air-conditioning but because of the distribution of the room there are bunks that suffered from heat and others where you freezed. The bathrooms are not super clean, nothing disgusting but it could be better. The common kitchen is equipped with outdated facilities and people don't clean after themselves so if you want to use something you have to clean it for yourself or wait until someone from the staff cleans ( not very often), but I guess this is a problem created by rude guests. The atmosphere was ok, not a lot of party but people socialize during breakfast and in the evening the go out for a drink. |Bad things:|Location is awful, 15 minutes walk to the nearest beach which is absolutely crowded. There are better beaches but in a 30 minute walk, and because Dubrovnik is so STEEP (and nobody mentions it) the way back to the hostel is absolute hell. There is a supermarket 'near' which also means a hellish experience to go. The old town is in a 15-20 minutes bus ride, the bus stop is next to the hostel. This might not seem so bad, but the truth is there is not much to see or do in the hostel area so you may spend most of the evenings in the old town and is a pain to go back and forth, specially in August heat. In the rooms the plugs are far from the beds and my friend's bed broke.|
