"A city of red-tiled rooftops, pine- and cypress-shaded hills, and sparkling turquoise waters, the Old Town of Dubrovnik stuns with both its architecture and scenery. Its surrounding stone walls, built between the 11th and 13th centuries to protect the city from war and epidemics, stretch for a full 1.3 miles, comprising an immense system of forts, bastions, and walkways that offer breathtaking views. Hike along them, then be sure to check out the Lovrijenac Fortress, built atop a 100-foot rock looking out toward Venice (Dubrovnik’s historic rival). The Old Town’s main street of Stradun, known locally as Placa, is also worth exploring. It’s especially nice in the late afternoon, when the sun shines off the historic buildings and swallows soar in the blue sky above."

Amazing hostel. Perfect location and a very friendly man on reception who was funny, kind and helpful.
Rooms are clean and all beds had its own fan keeping you comfortable on a hot summers night.
Take earplugs and eye mask (it’s a hostel) and you’ll have a great sleep.

The location of the hostel perfect, the vibe matched Dubrovnik so well. The room was very clean, but very small private room (not sure that can be changed, having to do with the construction of the building being in old town), just be aware it’s small; there’s no space to open your luggage and the bathroom is shared and outside the room. Besides that, the bathrooms were clean and near.

It’s in a great location, the staff are lovely, but the rooms have no A/C. While they do provide fans, in the middle of summer it gets very hot. The other downside is for solo travellers there’s not much going on socially. They don’t host nightly events and the common area is tiny so there’s little space to meet new people.
Overall, if all you care about is location and you don’t mind the heat, Old Town is a fine hostel.

Excellent hostel in the heart of Old Town and close to amenities required on a daily basis. Great value. The owner and staff are attentive and help foster a great vibe with the guests. Awesome place to have fun and be happy. The rooms are very nice too.

The hostel is located in the old center, very good to discovery around by walking distance. Was offered fan at room (really hot at summer). The service on check-in was late around an hour and they just accepted cash (was not notice in advance). Have ATMs close, but with expensive tax. It was an uncomfortable situation.

We stayed in early July and had to leave after one night. We are not fussy people but we could not sleep due to the extremely high temperature and stuffiness in the room. The room was significantly hotter and stuffier than outside and even the hallway. We could not be refunded but decided to leave regardless because of how awful the first night was. I personally left at 4am to sit on the streets of Dubrovnik after being unable to sleep even after 3 ice cold showers.

Extremely noisy. Avoid room 3A. Toilet is next door, flush is very noisy and you can’t close tap. Noise is constant and you will be all night awake. Quality vs price is extremely disappointing. Good internet service. Very good location but you can easily find better.

Dorms were fine, bed was comfy and linens were clean, only 1 toilet per floor, so you sometimes had to go up or down a floor to use the toilet. Reception not always available, but friendly and helpful when they were there. Great location on the Old Town.
