Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Plenty of parking with two disabled spaces by the door which has easy wheelchair access. The nursery, shop and outdoor area, for all types of plants and garden accessories, is of extremely high quality. The lunch was delicious, in pristine luxury surroundings. The toilets even had scented candles and wallpaper! Highly recommend for a treat as the prices are a little higher than main stream garden centres but so worth it.

Been coming here for years. Lovely cafe and restaurant that’s child and dog friendly. Prices are fair for the quality of the food. Worth booking to eat in the restaurant as it gets very very busy at the weekends. Always plenty of seating outside if the weathers nice.

It is completely understandable that this nursery is within the top 25 in the UK. The staff are wonderful, the shop is beautifully decorated and the cafe/restaurant has lovely food and coffees etc. We are vegan and there are options for us as well...a really nice oat coffee and a great vegan chocolate cake.

Our second visit in the last few months and both a disappointment. The setting up of the cafe has changed and staff seem to have changed their approach. Whilst the setting is beautiful and the nursery fantastic and inspiring; we have had two visits where we have wanted to have coffee and cake, on both occasions we have had a frosty reception. The most recent visit, on a beautiful sunny January morning we were refused to sit outside ‘for our own safety’. This is strange and unfounded considering you can walk around the nursery right next to the outdoor seating with no problem. When we went back after purchasing plants for a takeaway coffee we were made to feel quite uncomfortable by the staff as if we were creating a problem. Very strange. Perhaps the more formal approach to their seating has ruined their approach to customers and has resulted in a stiff and cold reception. In the past, the cafe area was an informal, relaxed space with a fire, where you could choose your own seating. Now you have to wait to be seated. Whilst I appreciate this is appropriate in the more formal Orangery dining setting, it’s a shame that this is now the approach in the cafe. We have always loved visiting in the past, great shop, plants and children’s area in the spring/summer (seems to be closed in winter). Hopefully everything will improve again!

Loved our visit to Duchy Nursery. We stocked up on plants, had a delicious lunch at the Orangery followed by coffees at the café. The food and service at the Orangery was fantastic. Thank you! The shop is beautiful.

Blimey; saw the signs for the cafe after a long drive and feeling very hungry! In hindsight the clue is in the name. Lunch and coffee was lovely, the cafe itself is really lovely and the veranda has great views of the garden centre (it's not Dobbies 🤣) and the countryside beyond. A little pricey, but great value considering. I'd do that again 🙌

Yelp
During a lovely Easter weekend at home, my boyfriend and friend requested a tourist day which should include a cream tea after our walk on the cliffs. The duchy nursery has recently done up their shop and cafe which look over the nursery and the valley below. The cafe offers a selection of sandwiches, hot meals and cakes. The cream tea was delicious with plenty of jam and clotted cream ratio to the scone and lots of tea. The cafe also provides excel by coffee and cake. The duchy is definitely my current favourite place for a cream tea when returning home and is in a lovely location. A final quick tip for any visitors, the duchy is up a cornish lane, once you've gone past the golf club, keep going and you'll find it.
