I decided to try Duffy’s after seeing the great reviews and it did not disappoint! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Our server gave some great recommendations. I went with the spicy crab and seafood chowder which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was lively and the view made it even better. Great food, great vibe!! 🦀🍸

Duffy’s was cool! We went for the vegan options which are extremely limited in Vieques. A good portion of the menu could be veganized by substituting with the Praegger veggie burgers. We had the faux fish tacos, burgers, and plantain canoe (maduros). We also had rice, beans, fries, and piña coladas. It was all delicious! The restaurant is situated facing the water and the ambiance is wonderful. It was a little pricey for the portions but we enjoyed ourselves and the service was good.

Google
Good, oceanfront restaurant with good food. I got exactly what I expected. The wedge salad was good. A little heavy on the dressing but still. The fish tacos were good but the fish was a bit on the dry side. I think shrimp tacos might have been better. Atmosphere and service were excellent and you can’t beat the location.

Duffy's is a great spot in Esperanza to stop for a meal or drink. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was good, we had the red snapper and double double. They have a selection of PR beers and plenty of specials to try. The views are great and worth the stop regardless if you are at a table or a bar swing.

Lunch was chill here, no lines. The fresh fried snapper was AMAZING!!!! The best fried fish ever!! 2 of us finished the 3lb extra large one (we thought we couldn’t but it was so tasty)

We were on a trip, and it was our first time visiting Vieques. Went with a group of friends (5 of us total), and we had a great time! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. It was a fun stop during our travels, and everything came out just right. Definitely recommend it if you’re visiting the area.

This is a very neat place. We only stopped in to grab a drink but briefly peaked at the menu as well as saw others food and it looks delicious. I will be eating there on the next trip to Vieques. Highly recommend the Pina Colada!!! The seats are very creative and add a fun twist

Amazing fish tacos fries and fish fry! Plus their pina colada is amazing! And you get to keep the cup for a free souvenir!

Yelp
This was one of my favorite places we went to this trip! The food and service were spectacular. My servers name was Kelly and she was the sweetest lady ever and deserves a raise. Her energy & overall attitude was so great I actually visited the other restaurant she worked at for breakfast the next day just to see her. These wings were so great I recommend. I loved it here. Food and customer service 11/10

Yelp
The seafood we had here was very good but unfortunately, the service we experienced was not. :/ Our waitress forgot about us after getting us our drinks. We could not get her attention and put our food order in and eventually had to wave down another waitress down to put in our order. When our waitress finally remembered us she saw we got another drink and our menus taken away so she only asked if everything was alright. However, our waitress also sat another table down that came after us. It was a family of 4 while we're only a party of 2. We noticed that they were able to put in their drinks/food order in, get their food, and finish their food all BEFORE we even got our food.... lol. She saw me looking at the other table and came to ask if everything is alright. So I finally said something and said that we have been waiting for almost an hour. (We came in at around 6:45 pm and it was 7:35pm when she asked this and we still haven't gotten our food) She made it seem like I was exaggerating and said "I don't think it's been an hour..." Our food arrived after this and we had to wave her down again to get the check later on. She never apologized or ask us about the food. However, I will say from observing other tables, service is usually very fast and the other waiters/waitresses seem very nice. No other table seemed to wait 50 mins to order and get their food. So maybe it was just us ‍ Also note that this restaurant serves mostly American food not puerto rican food. I did not know this walking in but we ordered two seafood entrees: Fish of the day (Fried Red Snapper) and a mixed seafood of mussels, shrimp, and lobster in a garlic sauce on a yuca cake (one of their specials that day). Both entrees were delicious. We also ordered the pina colada and the bushwacker. The drinks here are also very good!

Yelp
Honestly, look no further for the best food in Esperanza. It's an underrated spot run by a bunch of cool looking young folks but don't let that deter you! We went in the early afternoon and it was calm, the service at the bar was super attentive, and I swear to god the fried fish nuggets were so fresh and well seasoned, they were incredible. We also got fish tacos, a wedge salad, and some great drinks - along w/ excellent company from the bartended. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Duffys looks and feels like it should be the first stop in some obscure but crowded college spring break beach town on the mainland. And maybe thats true in normal times, but when we went it was super chill, the staff was very friendly - the prices were decent. And I had a salad with amazing ranch dressing - very unexpected. I added shrimp which was fine, but another table got the ahi tuna and that looked amazing. Do that.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the name of this restaurant... they don't serve Puerto Rican food. Their food is very American...but nonetheless, they had delicious burgers! I got the black angus burger with mushrooms, swiss cheese, and seasoned fries... mmmMm! Very tender meat, cooked medium, the way I specified..The crab cakes were very good too, paired with a creamy sauce with a kick to it. I asked for my sauce to pair with my fries... I'm a sauce addict! Prices are standard American prices, which kinda sucks, but oh well.

Yelp
Very Good Food..... And quantity. Sarah was great and very attentive both times we went. She had lots of information about things to do on the island we THANK HER for that. I will return and tell my friends about Duffy's

Yelp
I had the chance to eat at Duffy's twice on my most recent trip to Vieques. Located in the heart of Esperanza's entertainment district and right off the south shore of the island, you can't ask for a better place to grab a midday meal or late night drinks. The waitstaff is very much American, as is the cuisine - definitely targeting the tourists that make up the majority of the Malecon crowd. The artisan beer menu is extensive and the food is reasonable priced and delicious. For lunch I had the Miami Cubano, served on island bread, piled high with pork and sliced ham and topped with melted swiss cheese. The fries were battered and fried to perfection. I accompanied the meal with a bottle of El Presidente (a Dominican brew widely available in PR) - all for $13 bucks. Our group was so impressed with the food and service that we returned that night for dinner, knocking out a couple more bottles of Presidente and this time ordering a Mahi Mahi Wrap. Not as good as the Cubano in my opinion, but still generously sized and stuffed with lettuce, red onions, tomato, and large chunks of Mahi Mahi. Again, the service was top notch and even gave our group some great information on places to go and things to do on the island. I will absolutely return next time I am in Vieques.

Yelp
Again, another rainy day in Vieques :( Tuesday special - lasagna; served with salad and garlic bread. My salad came with no dressing, my romaine lettuce were not washed. My garlic bread wasn't toasted, and my lasagna cold! Miami cuban - very dry, some type of a meat with swiss cheese, pickles and mustard along with fries.

Yelp
We were disappointed with our meal and the slow service at Duffy's. It was not even particularly busy and it took 20 minutes to get our bill. We ordered nachos and were let down to see it made with fake cheese and scant toppings.
