came here to see one of my friends bands perform, and im a bit surprised that I wasn't able to come to this venue previously. This is strictly a review on the venue and the atmosphere, I had zero food or drinks. My friend came here to perform during the time period when the raptors were in the playoffs and they had a stage time of 8pm, cool! Or so I thought, the venue actually delayed my friend and his band from playing because they had the raptors on the big screen, and the big screen in the basement happened to be just in front of the stage. Sadly because of this, the concert was delayed for two hours, which I didn't mind as I was able to catch up with my friend and his significant other. After the two hours was up and the raptors finished up the game (they won without overtime), but the problem was, as soon as the band was done, literally 75% of the venue cleared out, I laughed to myself over this. The venue is really good for sound, the small narrow space really adds to it acoustically. I really cant wait to come back in the future for another show. The bathrooms are a bit of a trip, they are in the basement and have a very low headspace, which for tall people could be a problem.
Lots of parking options at this venue, as you have on street parking, side lots just north of the venue, and multiple side streets as well. Transit options are the lansdowne subway station on the bloor danforth line, but my recommendation would be to exit from the side of the platform for emerson avenue, as then it's a much shorter walk outside.
Cant wait to come back and I will be trying some food.
