Venue dazzled us - great food, great vibes, and a setting that practically begs for a return visit. Only hiccup: the kebab meat had a dramatic flair for overcooking. We forgive it. Just this once.

Stopped here for a quick drink. This church converted to a pub is beautiful. But the best thing was the friendly staff, we must have chatted with them for 15 minutes. We could have stayed all day chatting to them. Thanks for making us feel so welcome and telling us about Chi

Mind blowing venue which i wasn’t aspecting. Very impressive architecture and decor because it’s church converted in bar. Stained glass windows awesome and ceiling too. The bar guy was friendly and happy to help kinda person so do great service. Happily recommend to anyone who wanna have great time in very pleasant atmospheric place.

We attended the Duke for a private party. It's an amazing pub set in a church. The decor is great, loads of seating and a great choice of drinks 👌. Located opposite Chichester Cathedral.

As promised to Carys, here's the review! Upon arrival, Carys gave us a warm welcome! What a beautiful place to unwind with a cup of coffee in the morning. Lovely ambiance and excellent music selection👌 We went back in the afternoon for a nice glass of wine or beer! Highly recommended!! Ah, splendid afternoon indeed! We paid a visit to The Duke at luncheon and were most pleasantly surprised. The fare was hearty, classic pub grub — quite up to snuff, I must say. Our charming hostess, April, attended to us (and our faithful hound!) with the utmost care and good cheer. All in all, a thoroughly delightful experience — jolly good show!

This is a church that has been converted from indoctrination into a lovely pub. Liked the friendly staff, atmosphere and, on a winter's day, it was comfortably warm. I had a Ringwood Beer which was tasty and bought back memories of a misspent youth! Looked at the menu and decided not to eat here, so can't comment on the food. Menu looked a bit Weatherspoonsish...

Quite the novelty to have a beer inside the church. Interesting architecture and stained glass windows, fun facts too. Beer was fine, as was the food, shame they were missing some items from the menu. Engaging landlady.

Spacious and airy with a predominantly young crowd. Music generally OK but not very varied, better on nights when a DJ is in. Good food served until 5pm weekdays, 3pm Sundays. This is a converted church and very spacious. Lunch times are ok but the sports students tend to take over in the evenings.

Great place to eat! Old Church. Good food....DON'T get the big double burger unless you split with a friend!

Slurping toad is not called slurping toad anymore and hasn't been for around 5 years?! it is called wests now. fantastic building but with an unusual decor. good food served, and a popular salad bar which attracts lunchtime office workers. Not the cheapest of places, but several times I have been i have been given 20% off voucher for next visit.
