Duke Hotel

The hotel is centrally located in Bucharest, with a beautiful lobby where we gathered for the Timeraiser Arts event. The staff were consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay. If you're planning to stay, I highly recommend it—the team is incredibly welcoming and attentive.

We are traveling with a baby and specified that we will need a baby crib/bed in our room when we made the reservation. Unfortunately, when we arrived, no baby bed was found in our room and the boy from reception said that they don't have any... After 20 minutes, he found 2 boxes with a bed inside and we had to assemble it ourselves. But... No mattress, no bedding sheets. Finally, he found a smelly mattress and luckily, I was prepaired with sheets. The air conditioning in the room was turned off and there was no window for fresh air. Nobody is responding on the reception. By far, absolutely unacceptable in terms of service, hospitality and comfort. Also, the location is on two main boulevards and it is very noisy. Think twice before making a reservation.

After reading some of the negative reviews.... I was a little worried... Well let me put your mind at rest .... We had a 3 night stay on floor 3 .. the room was outstanding for the price (,you get what you pay for) bathroom clean and tidy shower a little small but hey who cares .... Staff really friendly only thing that lets it down is the breakfast (I want a full English tho lol)but there are plenty of places to eat... Great location and the hotel was very clean shower was way too small and the floor was really slippery. We were in room 606 where the water boiler or heating system must be at 6am every morning it booted up making a lot of noise. We had to ask for a refresh of coffee and sugar which we got. A little tight on tea and coffee in the room just 2 of each. The elevator was good. I would stay again just not in room 606. The mini bar was well stocked but the shop across the road sold all the items much cheaper shh.

Average hotel in a good location. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection is very poor and the coffee is bitter and undrinkable. The main problem is the staff who seem more interested in standing around gossiping and smoking than helping customers. When I checked in there was a problem with my reservation even though it had been booked and paid for months before. The sour faced woman on reception refused to engage or resolve the problem and simply directed me to my local travel agent. The hotel had over booked and although it was their error they refused to apologise or do anything to resolve the problem. I was “allowed” to stay for three nights then basically they kicked me out and told me to find alternative accommodation despite it being their error and I had paid for a longer stay. Terrible customer service. Avoid this hotel at all cost

Nice and clean. But just to noisy for me, so I had to leave. Breakfast is easy and fine. My bed was depressed and should have been updated. A few other minor issues. If your not bothered by the noise of the crossroad, then this hotel could be fine for you. Would get an extra star from me if I got the money back for the night I payed for but had to leave.

The room I was given, was not the one I've booked. I've been told it will be changed next day, that never happened eighter. Couldn't have a shower at arrival, as bath was not clean properly, and at the reception they had no cleaning product so I can clean it myself. So over all I don't recommend this place. The only nice experience was the guy from the bar, very friendly and smiling.

We 've been here for 5 days & 4 nights. The room was so clean , room was really warm & the service was good . The breakfast was served well .
