Duke Romana Hotel

The hotel is situated in a good location, just 15mins by walk from center. Both bedroom and bathroom big. The room is really hot, you cannot open the window. Customer service completely non existent, no good morning, no greetings, often no one at the reception. Probably if you leave or you stay one night longer, no one will realise it.

Everything was fine, except for the breakfast (€11.00). On the evening of my arrival, since breakfast was included in my booking, I asked about the service hours and was told it was from 7:00 to 10:00. Only the following morning I found out that breakfast was actually served outside the hotel. Had I known this in advance, I would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else with more options. The breakfast offered was only savory dishes, with no sweet choices at all. On top of that, when I arrived at the restaurant where breakfast was supposed to be served, I was told that my breakfast was not included! I had to go back to the hotel, show my booking clearly stating that breakfast was included and paid for, and then return again to the bistro. This was the last thing I wanted to deal with. I don’t think I would go back to this hotel.

Overall, the hotel is ok, but I don't recommend the breakfast. We arrived and the bell kept ringing. There were no coffee or tea drinks available. The staff shouted at us asking for coffee. It's better to go to different restaurants nearby.

Front desk guy Dragos, only handed in the key to the room and that's it. Not welcoming, not explaining anything, I said hello when I came in, l had to ask questions because his attitude was like I'm bothering him, just gave me a room with a broken shower. However the lady second morning was nice

I booked this hotel specifically because the listing stated that the hotel provides a shuttle to the airport. And was only informed after the free cancelation period that it does not. I asked for a refund and they denied it. I don’t know much about the hotel other than this kind of customer service is definitely sub par. Your clients should be able to get refunds for your mistakes.

we stayed for a week in the hotel. the receptionists were HORRIBLE, not nice, not respectful, they just didn’t care about their clients (expect one). my friend was blocked in the elevator at 5 am and called the receptionist to explain the situation. he didn’t care and kept watching netflix while my friend was blocked. the housekeepers stole my make up for 2 days. i told all the receptionists but they didn’t do anything. i won’t come back here.

The hotel is centrally located in Bucharest, with a beautiful lobby where we gathered for the Timeraiser Arts event. The staff were consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay. If you're planning to stay, I highly recommend it—the team is incredibly welcoming and attentive.

So this is a basic hotel. But you pay what you get. Location is central amd they offer 24hs reception perfect when you ended up arriving after 1am. If carpets were changed, rooms decorated better it could be much better !
