Duke Romana Hotel

The hotel is situated in a good location, just 15mins by walk from center. Both bedroom and bathroom big. The room is really hot, you cannot open the window. Customer service completely non existent, no good morning, no greetings, often no one at the reception. Probably if you leave or you stay one night longer, no one will realise it.

Everything was fine, except for the breakfast (€11.00). On the evening of my arrival, since breakfast was included in my booking, I asked about the service hours and was told it was from 7:00 to 10:00. Only the following morning I found out that breakfast was actually served outside the hotel. Had I known this in advance, I would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else with more options. The breakfast offered was only savory dishes, with no sweet choices at all. On top of that, when I arrived at the restaurant where breakfast was supposed to be served, I was told that my breakfast was not included! I had to go back to the hotel, show my booking clearly stating that breakfast was included and paid for, and then return again to the bistro. This was the last thing I wanted to deal with. I don’t think I would go back to this hotel.

The worst place imaginable. The last cleaning and renovation were back in 1992. The worst part is not the outdated design and extremely dirty carpet, but the sealed windows SO NO FRESH AI AT ALL! No ventilation in the bathroom! No decent sheets and pillows. The customer service is non existent and the staff behaves like they are prison guards and hate everybody. The breakfast is a huge compromise. I was on a business trip and stayed for 3 nights and moved to other hotel, as it was impossible. I wouldn’t wish this experience to my worst enemy. This “hotel” must be closed for entire renovation.

Front desk guy Dragos, only handed in the key to the room and that's it. Not welcoming, not explaining anything, I said hello when I came in, l had to ask questions because his attitude was like I'm bothering him, just gave me a room with a broken shower. However the lady second morning was nice

I booked this hotel specifically because the listing stated that the hotel provides a shuttle to the airport. And was only informed after the free cancelation period that it does not. I asked for a refund and they denied it. I don’t know much about the hotel other than this kind of customer service is definitely sub par. Your clients should be able to get refunds for your mistakes.

The only good about the hotel it's the location, the rest it's regrettable. Staff very unfriendly and unhelpful, the bed completely sunken in one side and no solution from staff side. Very disappointing for the price.

Never faced such low service level. Evening shift staff (very young staff - looks like teenagers) has no interest to provide any service. No soft drinks available, no minibar.

Overall, the hotel is ok, but I don't recommend the breakfast. We arrived and the bell kept ringing. There were no coffee or tea drinks available. The staff shouted at us asking for coffee. It's better to go to different restaurants nearby.
