Duke Lodge

The service is very professional and friendly. The private/breakfast room was very clean, had a nice atmosphere, it was buffet styled breakfast, the food is delicious, local juices tasted like real fruits blended and mixed to perfection. The environment is safe as it's located opposite the United States Embassy. I never stayed here so unable to provide a rating to the rooms and pool experience. But it had a few foreign guests. Thank you and stay safe.

1. Little to no water running in the bathroom . Made it almost impossible to shower. Ridiculous. |2. If you need anything at night (even a bottle of water) they won't sell it to you. |3. Room furniture is extremely old. |4. There is a bad smell in the rooms. |5. Pool is disgusting, hasn't been properly cleaned in a long time. |6. Food at the restaurant takes forever to come. They take the order and then come 30 minutes later to tell you "it's not available". Totally unacceptable. |7. Rooms are full of mosquitoes. |8. Considering all this, the rate they charge per night is extremely high. This hotel does not meet international standards in any way.

The room needs major improvements (the refrigerator, microwave and furniture are old). Low pressure water which does not allow constant flow when taking a bath, sometimes there is water interruption. Mosquitos get inside the room, take insect repellent as this gets worse outside. The food at the restaurant is good and the staff is very friendly.

My colleague and me stayed for the first night in two rooms located into the annex. We had some problems of A/C and smelling in the rooms, and the day after, the staff arranged to change our rooms for two in the main building, very comfortable. The staff was absolutely lovely and the cuisine is very good, although a bit expensive. Nice swimming pool and garden. They can also organize tours.

This hotel is nicely placed in the heart of Georgetown across the street from the US embassy, UN, and within a walk of the Canadian Embassy. The lodge is as comfortable as you are going to get while balancing your budget and amenities. The meals are well made and staff very friendly.

The property is well kept, very clean and an attentive staff. It is not a traditional hotel but a clever conversion that keeps the old Georgetown feel yet offers excellent amenities of a 'box' hotel. Rooms are attractive, and the kitchen provides both international and local cuisine. Try something with breadfruit. We would revisit. In Georgetown this is an easy choice.

Good comfortable hotel in the hotel area in Georgetown. Walking distance to the US embassy and the Canadian embassy. The hotel has a relax theme with gently and respectful staff. This is my third time at Duke's. I stayed in other hotels in the vicinity and Duke's has a good ratio quality-price. Still needs to improve in minor things, but still a good option to stay in Georgetown.

I enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant on site during Restaurant Week. I ordered the steak and also had a Mango Mousse Cake for dessert. Most amazing atmosphere, calming light effects and the food was top class. I could not have asked for a better evening out in Georgetown!||||Friendly service, and throughout the dining area art was featured, and some of the profit would go towards charity. Comfortable dining and art with a cause. Great way to maximise your dining experience.
