Dum Pukht

Had a wonderful dining experience at Dum Pukht. The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich and authentic flavors, and every dish was perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, making the experience even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Karan for the great hospitality — very friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. His service really stood out. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing food and excellent service in Delhi.

Frankly, thoroughly disappointed. Heard a lot of good things but the food came up quite short of expectations. The night started off well, good service and quick seating (we originally had a reservation for 7:30, and they let us push it to 8pm when we called to say we’d be late), however things went downhill when we started to get the food (main food order in the image attached). First off, we found it odd that our waiter tried to get us to start with the jumbo prawns and lamb kebab (leaving only potato and cauliflower as mains) because the other dishes would “take too long” (ie 20mins) - the organization of the menu was odd. We started with the Dudiya kebab (was good), the prawns were also good but the sauce could be better (more flavourful). The lamb kebab was very soft (almost too soft) and the cardamom was overpowering. Vegetable dish was also lacking in flavour. For having the naan under “specialities” it was kind of disappointing - some pieces were burnt and none were very soft or chewy. We were also disappointed when a waiter randomly brought us a bottle of sparkling water without us asking for it and then opening it and poured it before we could say anything (of course they charged another ~5$USD). They also messed up our drink order after we were very explicit - when it came, we told them this is not the order but they wouldn’t offer to remove the twenty dollar drink we didn’t order. Overall, there are significantly better places for this type of food in the city. The food is subpar for the price. At usd$210 for 2 people in a city where you can easily have an amazing meal for under usd$40 for 2, I expected so much more, from both food and quality of service. You’re really only paying for the silverware, ambiance, and the location (in a very nice hotel).

Karan is very friendly and provided excellent service. We really enjoy the food and vibes here. The restaurant had amazing service and made us really enjoy the night.

I haven't been to this place in a long time and was really looking forward to the food and it didn't disappoint. We started with some drinks. It seemed they were out of all the reasonably priced liquor and only had the more expensive ones. They should just take the rest off the menu if they don't have the stuff. Anyway, the service seemed a bit off but the atmosphere was great. We started off with some chicken tikkas which were melt in the mouth. Really really good! We ordered the raan, the nehari, the dal and a chicken curry. Two tandoori rotis and two khameeri roti. We also got the gucchi pulao which was fabulous! Overall the meal was really good but it is really rich and heavy. But a great experience!

Not sure for non vegetarians, but for vegetarians its over priced and over rated for sure. Food is overpriced , quantity is less, taste is average. Service is below expectations , 5 different people came from order to food to billing Seating is below par. If you are just 4 or less then tables are limited and in awkward corners . Decor is like that of a banquet hall. Its situated in basement floor, has no lift to reach it . Rs 1800 for 3 pieces of veg kebabs , or Rs 1800 for 3 pieces of fried kebab is overkill Better places out there for a much better experience, food and service. Crowd is primarily corporate , who don't care about much about all this as hosting at 5 star is a basic necessity for them

Dum pukht was a unique experience, rich Awadhi food enjoyed in a very Mughal-Esque architecture kind of ambience, almost like sitting in the palace dining room. The plates and table setting make for a royal experience. The highlight of the food was the cook on the chicken, for it was so soft and tender I have never eaten more tender chicken before. The Handi murgh korma features this delicious chicken prep. The gravy was also rich with cinnamon flavour. Other dishes were alright, I liked the paneer kebab but it was very overpriced for only 3 total pieces. The Taftaan tasted more like a western bread but I liked the idea of pumpkin seeds added to it, however it was a bit dry in parts. The khamiri roti was the only proper disappointment cause it wasn’t like khamiri roti at all. It was actually tandoori roti. Sad cause I came mainly for this. Another plus point outside the regular food though was the papaya pickle on the table, which was delicious and had me complete it entirely. Overall decent food and there are some very nice options on the menu that I didn’t try so cannot write them off yet. But it’s all very overpriced of course and it is a very high budget meal. However the place has a more varied menu and is still a bit cheaper than Bukhara, the other Indian restaurant in Maurya. Food aside the experience was exceptional. The server was very helpful in explaining the best dishes to eat and everyone is extra hospitable and welcoming. And like mentioned earlier the ambience is one in a million kind of experience

I gone yesterday for my anniversary i order here nihari n mutton biryani as I love nihari but along with tht i old khimri roti which i found below average we have eaten much better fluffy bread but it's it looks simple aate wali roti no fluffy nes at all which disappointed me so I hve not order any other bread just had biryani n nihari I paid 6700 for 3 items but bread ne sara charm karabh kar diya tha please work on it

Amazing high-end luxury dining experience. The ambiance is exquisite, the dining-ware is so rich. You feel like royalty when eating. The food flavors are so unique and non-traditional as well. I explored different food flavors than what i would normally order, and i was impressed. The live piano and tabla duo is incredible added bonus.
