Waited 40 minutes for a flight shorter than a goblin’s patience—barely two minutes in the sky. It’s only worth it if you’re traveling with young adventurers, and even they looked disappointed as the ride ended almost as soon as it began. A classic, sure… but not worth the quest.

Dumbo is a classic low-key ride that is appropriate for small children. This ride is only worth it if there's a short line. When we came on a moderately busy day, the line was over 30 minutes. The line is also deceptively long, as most of it is inside the tent, where it winds about for ages. The ride itself is fine. The controls are not very responsive, so keep in mind that you have to hold the lever for a while before your elephant moves.

I’ve personally never understood the hype about this ride. Even as a kid I thought it was a long wait for a boring experience. It was clever of Disney to move it and add a second set-up to keep the lines moving. However, the ride itself is painfully short. I wouldn’t wait more than 10 minutes unless my daughter insisted on going. Two redeeming elements - Firstly, the air conditioned playground inside the tent just before the ride is a great feature. We’ve used it on hot days when our daughter was younger and it is a game changer. I also feel like it’s relatively unknown (it’s usually busy but not mobbed). Secondly, the view of the castle at night is lovely. And if you wait until close to park closing there’s almost never any kind of line so you can walk right on.

There are actually two lines. One for the fast pass and other one is the regular line. There is a kids playing area inside where you can take break from the line and the little ones can enjoy a bit there. The ride has the controls which can take you up and down as well as tilt you forward and backwards. Overall a good experience.

Title: Soaring High with Dumbo: A Timeless Magic Kingdom Marvel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recently, I had the delightful pleasure of hopping aboard the iconic Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride at Disney's Magic Kingdom. Let me tell you; it was nothing short of magical! Blessed with a perfectly sunny and dry day, I was elated to find that the line was impressively quick, allowing me to embark on my flying adventure without a long wait. The ride, beautifully echoing the 1941 film, 'Dumbo,' is a heartwarming and joyous experience that seamlessly marries the nostalgic past with the vibrant present. The Dumbo-shaped vehicles, sixteen in number, lifted my spirits (quite literally) as I maneuvered them up and down using the joystick, feeling like a child steering their favorite toy. What I truly appreciated about this ride was its universal appeal. Whether you're a toddler getting your first taste of Disney magic or an adult reminiscing about childhood memories, Dumbo the Flying Elephant welcomes you with open arms. It's no wonder that many before me have praised this ride as a quintessential Disney experience that warms the heart and induces smiles of pure joy. Let me say to those wondering if they should give this ride a whirl during their visit: Don't miss out! Especially if you're looking for a gentle, picturesque experience that both exhilarates and relaxes. And don't forget to snag a photo with the Dumbo vehicle near the ride – it's a picture-perfect moment waiting to happen! In the vast sea of attractions at the Magic Kingdom, Dumbo the Flying Elephant stands tall and proud, epitomizing Disney's timeless charm. After my enchanting flight, I thought it was a resounding five stars in my books! Till next time, Dumbo, keep flying high! 🐘✨

In my opinion, Dumbo is a "must ride" for families. I love the waiting area before you ride. You get out of the Florida heat & humidity. There is something special about riding Dumbo. I don't know if it's because it's featured on so many Walt Disney World commercials or in Walt Disney World print advertising. But it is truly a memorable experience. My recommendation for Fastpass is only if the wait time appears extreme (more than 30 minutes). Also, it is helpful to get Fastpass if you have small children and/or it's a holiday weekend or during peak season. Enjoy.

Dumbo is a classic fun ride for the whole fam. There are two now & a whole waiting room to make the wait easier. It’s kinda like a carousel & we can go up and down with a joy stick. Id highly recommend this ride.

One of Disney original and Classic kid’s rides. Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a classic Magic Kingdom attraction that still holds a lot of charm — especially for families with younger kids. The entrance is bright and whimsical, with colorful circus-themed decorations that instantly set a playful tone. It does really feel like you’re stepping into a storybook version of a big top with the big tents and carnival looks. I read that the waiting line could have been one of the best parts of the experience, especially if you're visiting with little ones. Some of the reviews say that there was a place were the kids could play in an indoor air-conditioned play area while you wait. You're given a pager that buzzes when it’s your turn to ride, making the wait feel much more relaxed and manageable. I did not experience this. I waiting in a normal line that was shaded inside the tent at one part and under a covered awning even outside. The ride itself is simple but joyful. Each guest controls their own flying elephant, moving up and down while circling around the central tower with the iconic water feature below. We, unfortunately got the one DUmbo that had a joystick that was not working. It was fun nonetheless and the views of Fantasyland from the top were very nice. Overall, it’s more of a nostalgic, kid-focused ride but enjoyable for all.
