I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this trip with my partner, as some remote hotels can be a hit or a miss — but this one was amazing!||||We were able to check in early as our room was ready. The room itself was lovely and looked freshly decorated, with a super-comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was modern and spotless.||||The dinner menu was limited (four starters and four mains), but the food was great value and delicious. I’d much rather have a small choice of quality dishes than a long list of mediocre ones!||||Breakfast was included in the price, and the full Scottish breakfast was fab too.

Beautiful hotel in tranquil and peaceful location. Staff all very welcoming and accommodating. Last minute trip away and stay in lovely deluxe suite. Dinner in the hotel was amazing, very reasonably priced. Comfortable sleep followed by a full Scottish breakfast. Manager checked us out and was very friendly and hospitable and would definitely stay again.

Just stayed one night dinner BnB in deluxe room. Hotel and rooms as lovely as first time we stayed there a few years ago although courtyard needs bit of TLC.. Excellent service from Aftab ( think right spelling) at reception. Dinner good although limited menu. Breakfast was fantastic and enjoyed great Scottish breakfast plus continental choice. Bed super comfy. Will stay again - especially as they have a couple of dog friendly rooms now.

Just checked out of the Dunalastair Suite, and I can't help but feel a wave of emotion wash over me at the thought of leaving this enchanting haven. This gem nestled in the majestic mountains of Loch Lomond is nothing short of a paradise, and I truly hope to return someday never say never, right? ||Eugene, Shannon, and Habanni were simply phenomenal, makingus feel like VIPs||The hotel itself is a masterpiece, surrounded by the soothing embrace of the river and breathtaking scenery that captivates the soul. Every corner of this place is immaculate, reflecting the care and attention to detail that the staff pours into their work. Speaking of the staff, they treated us like royalty! The owner, Surya, went above and beyond by taking time out of his busy schedule to personally brew and serve us some of the best coffee I've ever tasted.

We so enjoyed our stay at Dunalastair Hotel! The building, grounds, and village were beautiful! The service was excellent! We really enjoyed the food as well as our waiter, “Gordon.” The young lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! The views in the area were amazing right from the suite window and we were lucky enough to see a rainbow! We would easily stay here again!

Exceeded our expectations. Fabulous accommodation very friendly staff …. Nothing was too much trouble .. beautiful part of Scotland with so many activities. Our evening meal was delicious with really fresh ingredients…. A great choice of continental breakfast, yogurt, fruits cereals etc with a choice of vegetarian or usual full scottish breakfast . We were travelling in our electric car and had a choice of the hotel chargers or a public faster charger right outside the hotel in the village square

Lovely hotel with super friendly staff! We stayed in the loft suite and it was very nice and a view of the area. Recommend filling up your gas and any snacks or necessities you need before arriving as it's located in a beautiful but semi remote area. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Europe 2023 - Scotland Fantastic Hotel! The room was large and the bed super comfortable. The service was excellent. There is also a restaurant onsite too.

Yelp
You are wise to be suspicious of reviews as some are fabricated. This one is not. We have the receipts and expenses to prove it. We were shown to a small room at the very end of the hotel with a view of a parking lot and adjacent building. Nothing of the "captivating views as standard" claimed in their brochure. The room had hair in the sink, stains on the carpet, crumbs and general disarray, and was well-worn. Not the calibre of a 5-Star hotel. We asked for second room, this one had been recently cleaned. Once in, we realized the carpet was wet with cleaning solution. The Desk Mgr slipped and almost fell in the room. We were told to wear slippers to avoid the wet. We asked for a third room. The hotel is virtually empty. This room was acceptable but by now, we were exasperated and tired. This process, full of confusion and missteps, had taken over 2 hours. We decided to leave the hotel the following morning and short-shift our two day booking. We wanted to go back to Glasgow and the Hilton where we had been treated royally. For dinner, the hotel offered us two glasses of wine as compensation for our inconvenience. The dinner was adequate but not what we expected of a celebrated chef. We discovered later that evening that they had no intention of refunding us for the second night. They intended to keep the full cost of the two-night booking despite our departure after only one night. We disputed but they refused to relent. We asked Expedia to intervene. To Expedia's credit, they did and were told the same thing. NO REFUND. This entire experience has left shaken, exploited, and questioning the 5-Star rating. We wish you a better experience than we had. Scotland is a beautiful country.
