Dunapark Restaurant and Coffeehouse

The atmosphere in the cafe is retro which in my opinion is good because for a young person its good to experience even a little what was the vibe back in the past. The service itself was good, the goods they offered were also good. In my opinion this cafe is perfect for casual date night.

We've come to this cafe several times, mostly for the amazing desserts. This time we tried the food and it was very good. Dobos torta and krémes are some of the best in Hungary! Prices are a bit above average. Staff are friendly and attentive, most speak a little English. Unfortunately you will find it hot indoors during summer months and there is no air conditioning, not even a fan. Outdoors is mainly in direct sun. Otherwise a great place to visit right near Margaret Island.

Very empty (saturday PM) , with half-page limited menu. Nice view on the park. Friendly service. Gulyas soup Ok, not spectacular, but decent. Duck however, undercooked, pretty frustrating, cvekedli (pasta) with cabbage tasty.

These are the times I wish I could give a 9/10 instead. It is near perfect, only a bit costly, although the cake was well worth the cost. The building itself is very important, one of the rare examples of Hungarian Bauhaus.

This is a lovely and classy place. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, well trained staff and delicious desserts and cakes. We have used it twice to buy nice cakes last minute for birthdays and they come through every time short notice with great candles. Totally recommend for an afternoon coffee, meeting or simple date. Great spot.

We found this place near the dock where we were going to a night cruise. Took us totally by surprise! It’s next to a park in a residential area. The setting was modern and airy, the service was polite and friendly, the food was very tasty, and the Hungarian dessert one could not miss. It’s not very pricey either. Highly recommended, especially if you are going to a night cruise from dock 42.

Historic, elegant, splendid art deco restaurant, coffee shop and confectionery at a very good location neighbouring the Danube side King Saint Steven public park. The restaurant has a limited outdoor sitting. It is easy to approach the place using for example bus 75. A wide range of fancy cakes, traditional pastries, ice cream, soft and hard drinks, sandwiches, coffee specialities. You can have also lunch or dinner here. The prices are reasonable. The staff is polite, professional. Toilet is available for guests. Practically impossible to find a parking place near to Dunapark. Card payment is accepted. #budapesteats

One of great Budapest cafes. It went through refurbishment a few years ago. Close to the park with child playground and Danube. I used to visit this place for last 15 years. Delicious cakes, fantastic coffee, splendid interior from 30's of 20. century, sometimes amazing service. Though... beware of service fee already included in the bill (12% is easily overlooked in Hungarian bill) and check twice your change :-). Otherwise spectacular place.
