Great from the time of booking to checkout. Room 5 is warm ,cozy with a lovely balcony and a great view of the church and water. Breakfast is served in a spacious dining area with a sitting area to enjoy coffee and conversation with other guests. The location allows enough time for a days drive around the Cabot trail. Thank you Steven for creating a relaxing atmosphere for our enjoyment away from home.

A great place to stay when visiting Cape Bretton. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and breakfast was truly delicious. Nothing was too much trouble from local restaurants to fresh coffee. We were so lucky to have the local bald eagle fly right in front of us on the bridge which was simply magical.

I had stayed at the Duncreigan Country Inn twice before, the most recent time in 2016. The inn is looking a little more tired but it is still my favourite place to stay on Cape Breton. The room was very clean, very roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful — so much choice and all delicious. Steven and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return. I also love how close the inn is to the Red Shoe Pub and other great musical venues.

We stayed at the Inn one night after a bad experience at another hotel. Steven was so gracious and welcomed us like family. It is a beautiful location, on the water. The rooms are spacious , spotless and decorated beautifully with antiques. The breakfast the next morning was amazing. There was everything including blueberry pancakes, sausages, bacon eggs and scones that were some of the best I have tasted. We are so happy that we found the Inn and will return I’d we are in Cape Breton. Thank you Steven.

Charming inn. Very clean. The breakfast was delicious and filling and the hosts friendly. Steven went over and above to help me out. The room was clean, charming and spacious. So nice having the back deck and the living room to hang out. The river view was calming, especially in the evening. Thank you!

My wife and I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a 6 night trip visiting the Cabot Trail including 2 nights at the Duncreigan Country Inn in Mabou. Stephen and Mala were very hospitable and welcomed us like family! The Inn is very sweet, great location, nice rooms, great home cooked breakfast!! Highly recommend staying at the Duncreigan Country Inn and as well as having dinner at the Red Shoe but be sure to get there early to get a good table!!
