The coffee at Dundas & Faussete was spot on—smooth, well-balanced, and just the pick-me-up I needed. The service was friendly, and the café itself had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. That said, the food portions felt a little modest. The club sandwich and the steak sandwich were tasty, but on the smaller side for the price. Still, if you're after a solid coffee and a cozy spot to unwind, it's worth a visit. More attention is required to clean the cutlery. The menu has a fusion of Asian flavors. Well done

Walking down the cafe streets in Albert Park, this was the buzziest place on a Sunday. A short wait, and we got window seats to enjoy a coffee and watch all the trendies passing by. Prawn linguini was fresh with chilli basil blended flavours, a great dish in winter. Fried chicken bao & chips a nice variation on the usual burger. Although busy, the food was fast, and the staff efficient and friendly. Menu includes breakfast and lunch any time of the day. Good quality coffee too.

Great atmosphere outside with delicious food! There just needed to be more fries served on the plate that’s all that you could add. We will be back.

D&F has had many reincarnations since I first lived in Sth Melb, Albert Park. This latest is chic, in line with the upward spiral of wealth in the area. However, no matter how wealthy it's clientele gets it has no class. Entitled white women bring their out of control kids who smear food on the walls and expect wait staff to clean up after their kids. Shame on the clientele. They take their narcissistic rudeness to amazing highs. I wish Dundas and Fausett staff would set limits on horrible clients. It's not fair on them or fair to others wanting a nice space to enjoy a coffee.

The food and service was good - I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and it tasted great, the sandwich was nice and the chips were like the perfect level of crisp and salt but it was surprisingly kind of spare on the chips.

Google
Great cafe with Plenty of space. It was a coldish day and we sat outside under the heaters so it wasn't cold at all. The service is very good here and very well staffed. Very rare to see staff that are ALL wearing smiles and all very experienced. Great attitudes and friendly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+⭐ Good is great, good portions and plenty of choices. They don't have a physical kids menu, but the cafe does offer options for little ones. Coffee is to our liking, hot and strong. Perfect Well done guys ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Google
Typical Aussie fusion Asian brunch, had to wait quite a while for the food but it did the trick. Nothing wrong with the food nothing amazing. One note the burger was quite small and very expensive for what I got. Didn’t enjoy the bao much.

Google
Really nice spot for a contemporary cafe I ordered a strong latte which was nice and flavor some and for breakfast I had the grilled broccolini with chorizo and potato rosti I was a really tasty dish lots of great flavors working well together and was a decent size portion if I had to be picky my poached eggs were just under cooked but once you mixed it in with the other flavors and components it was ok but anyone else may have sent back the dish Overall service was good and on a beautiful day this place can get busy with heaps of seats outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air Nice menu and plenty of options to chose from I will definitely be coming back to try other dishes

Yelp
We were sitting there for a couple of minutes. The very well tanned waitress was flirting the whole time with two other guys. Even eye contact and waving didn't make her move . Two other people took the table behind us. They have been served pretty quickly with cold water and the menu. After that we left. We haven't been experienced such unatttentive staff for a very long time.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Flowers, all yellow make a cheery addition to all tables.tables well spaced so great venue for conversations. Staff friendly and very helpful. Quiet in the late afternoon but getting busier as we enjoy our drinks.

Yelp
Situated on the corner of one of Albert Parks busiest breakfast precincts, sophisticated Melbourne hot-spot Dundas & Faussett always manages to attract the biggest trendiest crowds, daily. With reliable & consistent service and always friendly wait staff, you cannot go past the breakfast menu. Offering a variety of fresh seasonal produce, cooked breakfasts along with some traditional options such as bircher muesli and homemade porridge. My personal favorites and one that remains quite popular with the locals includes the farmers omellette and the breakfast bruschetta. Both incredibly satisfying, especially when accompanied by a good quality coffee! If you're not keen to fight the early morning gym goers, cyclists on route or the mums & bubs, stroll down for the lunch menu it proves to be just as exciting with an Asian and Italian influence and regular specials updated daily. Alternatively, breakfast is served until 3.00pm. Portions are generous and not exuberantly overpriced considering its location. Despite being located in what can become quite a busy built up area, Dundas & Faussett offers a relaxed and laid back environment with a cosmopolitan twist. With ample seating inside and out, nabbing a seat in the sunshine on a Sunday afternoon makes the experience all the more enjoyable!

Yelp
Dundas & Faussett faces what seems to be ever increasing competition for the latte sets dollar. The neighbouring businesses have progressively converted into deli's and cafes over the past few years. They don't pretend to be something they're not - offering up honest breakfast and lunches at a range of tables both indoors and out. The Breakfast Bruschetta at $14.50 is a hearty but healthy choice which is to me, their signature breakfast dish. Take the kids or tie the dog to your chair, it's that kind of place. Couples looking for somewhere quiet or slightly more gourmet might do better choosing something a little further down the road.

Yelp
I think I'm a yuppie! I ride a scooter. I wear designer sunglasses. I like to sip on a latte. I eat here often and I enjoy it. Dam it, what have I become. Oh well, it's time to embrace what I have become, wake up, get out of bed, sit in the sun at Dundas & Faussett, read the news, smile, talk, eat, eat some more, call it a day.

Yelp
Do yourself a favour and check this gem out. Best coffee on the whole strip. Soft shelled crab burger is delightful as well. Friendly wait staff.

Yelp
So gosh this place has been around for a long time! Bit of an Albert park institution. It is big - big inside and loads of outdoor seating which is nice. But it still has a small cafe menu! We sat outside which was lovely and had a good coffee. My breakfast was fantastic - baked beans and chorizo in a pot with sourdough and feta on the side. Great combination of flavours! Service was good too!

Yelp
You know, until I decided to write this review, I was always pleased by the mystery this cafe's name inspired. Who was Dundas? Who was Fausset? Were they friends, lovers, partners, enemies? Many's the Sunday afternoon I've sat there, enjoying my breakfast, pondering the question. But yes. This cafe, on the corner of Dundas Place and Fausset Street, is one of the good ones. And I'm not just saying that because they do breakfast 'til four PM. (Although, yes, that alone would endear me to them.) On most sunny days the cafe owner sits out in their spacious outdoor area, chatting and smiling at customers. At the same time, though, he's not one of those clingy types who insists on being your best friend. The food's good, although there's nothing amazingly original there. It's standard cafe fare, done well.

Yelp
Not sure about this place. Menu looks awesome, but the actual food is inconsistent: pad Thai and roti were good but the massaman very disappointing. Service is lovely but a bit disorganized (drinks came after we finished out mains). Will give it a second chance for a brunch.

Yelp
My favourite brunch place in the whole of Melbourne. Who can go past the okonomiyaki with eggs?! Amazing! Sit outside under the heaters (if cool) and watch the world of Albert Park go by. Good coffee, service and great food. What more do you want? PS. Try the okonomiyaki!

Yelp
Absolutely and continuously the very worst service I (and my friends) have ever experienced. Seriously, it's as if the owner hires his staff on the basis of how good they look in short shorts or skin tight jeans. He certainly doesn't hire them for their competence. For example: you may be utterly ignored for literally 30 minutes or more. When you finally are served you'll find the staff desultory, rude, surly, resentful and providing the absolute minimum in terms of customer service - actually, strike that, they don't even pretend to give service; it's beyond even just going through the motions. Dirty crockery and cutlery is the norm, and don't dare even attempt to ask for something that has a semblance of cleanliness lest you suffer their baleful wrath. It seems to be the norm that these staff spend more time chatting amongst themselves than serving their customers. The staff don't care at all, and the fact that the owner continues to employ these types of people, sees the service they provide and accepts it as good enough just goes to clearly demonstrate that he doesn't care either; he doesn't care about your experience, he just wants your money. How this place is still in business is beyond me. Horrible, horrible service, mediocre coffee, average food - and they even have the audacity to charge a surcharge on public holidays (even though penalty rates no longer apply). Who the hell are these people kidding??? Avoid like the plague. If you want high quality service and a shining example of how it should be done - every single time - head a little further out and go to Batch on Carlisle street in Balaclava. They know how it's done and do it perfectly.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great food! I had the chicken caesar salad and a mango smoothie, both were exceptional! Bec had the lamb wrap and chips, the wrap was very tasty by all accounts and the chips were to die for! Definitely worth a visit for brunch or lunch!

Yelp
Sat outside under a blanket and heater and was super cosy. The service was fast and friendly. I had the brocollini and avo with poached egg on toasts and cheese and loved it, tasty, pretty and healthy!

Yelp
Great place for father day being able to book. So busy as it seems everyone had the same idea. Lovely to sit outside with the heaters going and complimentary blankets for extra warmth. We had plenty of room for a pram which always makes it more enjoyable not worrying about being in The way. Coffee is was on our table in no time at all. I ordered the acai bowl which was YUM. Perfect for breakfast and presented beautifully. Hubby had the salmon with avo salsa and potato Rosti. He loved his dish but only downfall was the toast was so hard he could barely cut into it and made it hard to eat. Service was quick. Love the uniforms the safe have too. They have a wide variety on their menu and perfect for brekkie lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. My only complaint would be that there is a very narrow gap between the till and the tables. As a result paying for your meal takes forever. Very frustrating

Yelp
Sunshine and brunch time in Albert Park, everyone is out with their kiddiwinks and doggies all dropping by for coffee and some food to fuel up for the rest of the day. The upgraded Dundas & Faussett is a great breakie stop, a top lunch place and by evening it transforms into an Asian inspired menu. We are ready for breakie as creamy coffees arrive and menus with plenty to choose from arrive. The babyccino looks very cute but I am happy with a big girls coffee as I debate - French toast, bagels, crepes, bruschetta, omelette. I feel a little bit fancy today so I go for a Thai omelette...... read more at my blog

Yelp
Not sure about this place. Been here several times as we have friends who live in the neighbourhood. Service is great. Happy, friendly, useful staff. Prices are average for a yuppie eatery in South Melbourne.

Yelp
Scrumptuous and beautiful food. Wonderful service (if you are very patient and almost jump up and down to get their attention :) Lovely patio area for people watching in a relaxed atmosphere. Complimentary wifi. Diverse menu (all day brekkie) with reasonable prices.

Yelp
Not even one star owners dog barking at front non stop customers walked onto other cafés I wonder if he will understand if his dog will ruin his cafe! I'm a dog lover but ambience over uncontrolled barking any day and to top it off male staff members reply was any given day you will see dogs all over the place! On up side owner removed dog after my complaint but ruined our morning by that time! Shame looks a good spot was going to be our regular!

Yelp
I've been to Dundas and Faussett three times, and every single trip has been on new year's day. This may seem a little odd, but despite Melbourne being a city that brunches, you can seriously struggle to find somewhere open on the 1st of January. On the whole, I've found each and every outing to be largely unremarkable. Crawling with screaming kids, coffee that is neither here nor there and food that is just OK. But whatever. It's open on new year's day, okay?

Yelp
Something is going wrong here. The food is yummy but the service is average. The staff have tunnel vision for the tables with plates to clear. That seems to take priority over everything. You wait wait and wait. Then they see you and say sorry it's so busy today. Do they think we don't get it?

Yelp
I can't believe Dundas & Faussett has only a three star average review, it really should be rated more highly. The food is excellent although I will admit I can't stop ordering the breakfast bruschetta (slice of yummy toast with feta, pesto, tomato, avocado and bacon) and I was present one day when an unsatisfactory seafood salad daily special was ordered and reviled by a few different people. The outdoor seating is plentiful, with comfortable chairs and umbrellas, the view is of lovely Albert Park, the staff are exceedingly nice, children are welcome, and I think the coffee is delish, some of the best I've ever had. Then again, unlike most Melbournians, I am a far cry from a coffee aficionado.

Yelp
The place has a wonderful atmosphere - cool, contemporary and laid back. It was very busy, considering amount of people they were fast to bring out the orders. I ordered the Thai Beef Salad. The dish was full of flavour, well balanced, not too hot, not too sweet. It came with a large wedges of lemon to squeeze on the salad, not tiny ones like some places. Tasted vibrant, plenty of fresh coriander and Thai basil. Perfect amount of dressing, every salad leaf was coated but there wasn't a huge pool of dressing left over at bottom. Beef slices were tender with a nice char on the outside. Well marinated and bursting with Thai flavours.

Yelp
service is terrible. the food took forever. really tanned waitress spend the whole time flirting with two guys. when the food did come it was cold.
