On the Grid : Junction & Junction Triangle

"The Junction is an evolving neighbourhood with a strong sense of community. The area was once driven by industry and transportation which has adorned the streets with historic architecture. Filled with warehouses and industrial spaces, the area has become a beacon for various creatives and recently, tech startups are setting up shop in the community. Come hang out with the artsy folk in the Junction!" - Hyperakt

Dundas West Subway Station is a busy but well-organized spot that connects you easily to downtown Toronto through Subway Line 2, Go, UP or street cars. It’s clean, easy to navigate, and has clear signs that make getting around simple. There’s a steady flow of commuters, but it doesn’t feel too chaotic. The station has a few seating areas and is well-lit, which makes it feel safe even during off-hours.

Never in my 15 years of taking the TTC did I think I would be yelled at unprompted. Yet the driver of the 40A bus did just that, in front of 30+ people waiting there. Why you ask? I "went ahead" of someone in a wheelchair, I asked that person before the bus even came if they would like to come to the front. GUESS WHAT STAFF, they were waiting for the B, not the A bus. While he was yelling at me, he blocked me from entering, causing everyone else to get on the bus. And when I got off the bus he drove off honking. I know you'll see this TTC, I reported the employee with enough detail and never got a report back. I will definitely be calling some people I know due to this incident, very very bad look. I demand an apology from that employee.

Went to this station yesterday and had a terrible experience. Sure the station is big and has elevators but it was so confusing getting to the Streetcar shuttles as the station lacks so much information about where to catch the buses. I got to the concourse and accidentally went up the stairwell to the normal bus bays but had to find my way up to Bloor. The renovations being done at this time is really inconvenient, but the one thing that is convenient is the McDonalds. Overall a good station just the construction going on sucks and is annoying for commuters.

Just had a bad experience with this service, 505 streetcars delay half hour and another bus 505 comes but not clear the destination. I took that bus and must get off because the unclear information, then cannot wait more longer and back home by walking. I don’t want to know what happened, the problems were handled very bad and unclear that make everything messed up or something. I am not happy and want to underestimate this service. Never feel good in the time using ttc, but no choices. The tickets price is cheap, but it is not worth it. Thanks a lot, not appreciate.

One of my favourite TTC stations. I have fond memories of this place. Sometimes the train stops at Dundas west for a longer time than usual and it makes me me think of the good times I had and the friends I made along the way. To quote David Bowie, "you drive like a demon from station to station". Don't we all?

Functions but needs lots of work. An older station set up and a pain to get to and from the GO Station currently since you need to walk 2 blocks per. Tunnel build underway but not a quick as it should be.
