Dune Boutique Hotel Tulum

We were lucky enough to stumble across this absolute gem of a hotel in Tulum. ||Having arrived in Tulum we were not at all happy with our hotel in Aldea Zama and thankfully had the good fortune to come across Dune Boutique Hotel while out exploring. We had an absolutely brilliant stay here from the staff to the rooms, facilities and food we couldn't have asked for more. ||Rooms and amenities:|As with almost all beach accommodation in Tulum this is an eco hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed with everything you could need (including bug spray). Additional items not included with your room such as an iron and hairdryer are easily requested and provided from reception. This is a beachfront hotel. |The hotel offers free yoga sessions which we really enjoyed. |There are water stations throughout the hotel for you to fill up. |Not a negative for us but useful information there are no TVs or fridges in the rooms. |Cleaning and standards throughout the hotel were exceptionally high. The hotel has its own hydroponic growing and garden area. |The hotel has a stunning spa with the very charismatic Gloria. While I didn't partake my husband had an excellent massage and Gloria kindly provided a personal photo shoot for us on the cargo net! lol!|The hotel has a reasonably sized pool and pool area for those days when the seaweed is just too much. Plenty of loungers and towels available.||Location:|As I mentioned this is a beachfront hotel around half way down beach road. Conveniently there is a GoMart just across the street. Hotel includes parking. ||Food:|We had breakfast and lunch during our stay. Breakfast is excellent with a array of choice to suit everyone. Lunch was good value for the Tulum beach area. |Drinks are fantastic with a wide ranging menu. ||Staff:|The jewel of this stunning boutique hotel - the staff. Firstly huge shout out to Alex who was a super star throughout our stay. From we initially walked through the doors until we left Alex (along with all the staff) could not do more to make our staff amazing. Alex kindly showed us each of the rooms available and gave us time and space to think over and consider our option, at no point was there a hard sell or any pressure which we really appreciated. Alex regularly took the time to check in with us and if there was anything we needed. |All of the staff from the restaurant, service staff and front of house were friendly, helpful, approachable and just hands down amazing throughout our stay. The only issue we had was that our stay was just too short. ||In summary this is an amazing small boutique, beachfront hotel. If you are looking for a quiet stay with a personalised touch this is the place. Beautifully decorated and laid out with all you could need for the beach Tulum beach stay. |We can only hope that if we are ever back in Tulum we have the good fortune to return to Dune Boutique Hotel.

I stayed in this wonderful, comfortable, & small hotel in the heart of Tulum with my daughter. We loved the nature-focused, bohemian vibe & decor, & we also really appreciated the kind & helpful staff during our stay. ||Cooper was a wonderful host & couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We also appreciated how beautifully our room was decorated for my daughter's birthday & the festive birthday dessert she was given at the hotel restaurant. ||We ate at the hotel restaurant twice during our stay & the food & drinks were excellent - loved the huevos rancheros for breakfast & the ceviche, tacos, & cocktails when we first arrived were excellent as well. The restaurant staff were also very personable & professional. ||We also had a lovely morning yoga session on the top floor of the hotel - a beautiful, serene space with nice views. ||The only downside to our stay at this lovely beachfront hotel was the Sargassum seaweed, which is really bad this summer along the Caribbean coast of Mexico (Tulum, Cancun, etc.), so we weren't able to enjoy the beach or ocean at the hotel. ||However, the hotel concierge recommended we take a taxi to a nice beach club - Caleta Tankah. This was a great suggestion & allowed us to enjoy some time on a nice beach & swim in a section of the ocean with no seaweed & also take a dip in a refreshing cenote.

Amazing staff. Great food from the restaurant- must try octopus ceviche! The rooms are great with A/C. Location next to all of the great clubs and short walk/taxi ride to the best clubs/restaurants. The hotel itself is very tranquil and relaxing. The beach is always raked and clean. Bar staff is incredible. Yoga is offered daily and the spa is amazing. Highly recommend for your stay in Tulum!!

We were there this past month and the beach was full of sargassum but the people and the staff that were there made this vacation a unique experience. The bar tender was awesome! She was very attentive and was on point with the drinks! You were able to feel the alcohol! The drinks were not watered down. The food was delicious and the rooms were clean. The weather is hot! The rooms have working AC units which is amazing! I would definitely come back.

Very nice and clean hotel in a bohemian style which suits perfect to the location in Tulum. Rooms are spacios and very well equipt with everything you need. The hotel offers bikes for free to use and Yoga classes in the morning, which are amazing. Really outstanding is the attention and service from the staff in all areas. Spezial thanks to Cooper from the reception who made my stay excellent - from supporting with every kind of question, tour bookings, restaurant recommendations and even future Mexico visit advices - just a perfect example of service and kindness. The restaurant staff as well - Carlos and Silva - perfect service. Muchisimas gracias Dune Hotel! I highly recommend this hotel

Traveled with my friends and had the absolute best time at this June hotel. Cooper with the reception staff was absolutely amazing. The restaurant stuff Carlos and Abraham were so friendly so sweet and always went the extra mile to make sure we were always happy for morning tonight :-) Gloria with the massage team on the rooftop gave world class service and cannot wait to come back to this incredible hotel. Met the most most amazing people along the way incredible memories that we will hold onto for a lifetime.

Delicious food. Awesome yoga. Friendly staff. Hotel promotes practices sustainability non gmo and renewable solar energy. Overall great adult getaway from the usual hotel type...and especially luv there is NO TVs in the rooms. Lastly walk the suspension bridge above the pool!

Very Good service, staff are amazing and beyong friendly. Front desde is so helpful Witherspoon any questions you might hace. They give great recommendations on where to eat and WhatsApp to do in the área. Very clase to all the popular áreas. Beautiful Beach. Recommended for anyone looking to stay in a calm área and Stiller be clase to the parte áreas. The spa was amazing.
