Great views of the ocean. Sat at bar and Rafael was great. Octopus was excellent along with the rigatoni. Expensive, not surprisingly.

Google
Amazing view from the outdoor area to enjoy a meal. Food was good, but the service was subpar. It took 10 minutes for our server to first visit our table and our waters were never refilled. This was also in November, not in the middle of busy season.

With ocean views everywhere and fresh LARGE portions, you can't go wrong with this cheerful and bright restaurant where we enjoyed lunch and breakfast--the following day. Everything was delicious and they were quite accommodating to our dietary needs...making a fab salad (see photos) and a traditional New England lobster roll (can be prepared hot too), bursting with crustacean meat, & don't forget to request the delish sweet potato fries! For breakfast, we had the fluffy ricotta pancakes which was perfect to share, for us minimal breakfast eaters.

Google
The right place to start your day. We came here for breakfast. Everything was so delicious, fast and super nice stuff. Including valet parking. We paid for two persons around $70. We highly recommend this place! 🏖🥰

To start with the positives: the views were gorgeous and it was a beautiful day. Our waiter was personable and nice. The short: a beautiful spot to eat with subpar service and middling, drastically overpriced food. The long: our food took nearly 45 minutes to arrive, despite less than a quarter of the tables being occupied. We ordered two hamburgers, lobster mac and cheese, and a grilled chicken pita. The $35 lobster Mac contained what looked to be boxed pasta and small pieces of lobster, with thin-looking cheese sauce. My order, the OG burger, was worse than unimpressive. What was meant to be a "smash burger" was pretty clearly an un-smashed(?) patty, not dissimilar to the frozen ones we'd grilled at a BBQ the night before. The "special sauce" was missing entirely and the patty itself was overcooked and dry. The most flavorful things on the burger were the onions. I dumped some of the ketchup that came with my fries onto the burger. I have had much better burgers at fast food restaurants. The shoestring fries were crisp and well-salted, which was a plus. The chicken pita was okay. Unless you're just coming here for a few drinks and a beautiful view, avoid it.

Nice food and nice service. $8 for an espresso was a record price that I have seen in the US.

Google
They are avocado toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs was absolutely winner for me until I had crab Benedict! Either you having a dinner or breakfast you will be satisfied with every item on the menu.

Christina C.

Google
Service and food were delicious! Only did room service due to the fact that I’m pregnant and felt nauseous but the food always came out warm and just how I ordered it. Alejandro is such a delight and surprised us with some fresh chocolate covered strawberries and fresh fruit. Thank you Alejandro for being so thoughtful and sweet!

Yelp
Had the Father's Day brunch here and it was truly magnificent. We opted for the buffet option rather than order dishes. The buffet spread was truly phenomenal. Fresh fruit, yogurt, salmon, bagels, toast, omelet station, cakes and pastries, juices etc. Brilliant. Venue also lovely. Views of the resort and ocean. Niiice.

Yelp
Price - pricey Their morning health drinks are yum especially the green goddess. Their crab cake Benedict was just ok, their French toast was but everything else was just subpar. The pastry basket is the one thing I do recommend with the green goddess (if you don't like ginger though don't get it); the price is great $12 and the assortment is perfect with each one tasting amazing. And service was great; he was patient and courteous. We sat by the water window view and it was very pretty. Their charcuterie board is very overpriced for the amount and variety. Their burger is good; the pretzel is as good as a pretzel is and the tuna tacos are tiny and only two of them but packed with tuna - very fishey though.

Yelp
Tillie's is Scarpetta at night. Tillie's breakfast is simply amazing. The eggs are cooked well. I highly suggest the omelets. Not sure why folks are complaining about price. If you can afford staying at Gurney's then the price of food shouldn't be an issue.
google avatar

Luisa M.

Yelp
Tillie's breakfast is all of you need to start a day with a right foot at Montauk. It offers a wide selection buffet and also a selective plates for those who wants some simpler! There is a remarkable service offered to me by Marlen; she went far and beyond my expectations. Always kind, helping me with options no just for breakfast for my lunch too. The restaurant in general has a friendly staff, and every time I go to Tillie's I ask for Marlen, because I know I'm in a good hands with her!

Yelp
Located at the lovely seaside Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, Tillies restaurant has wonderful ambiance, great food but lackluster service. We were seated outside right on the railing and had a gorgeous view of the beach. Our food (yogurt parfait and bagel with lox that came with special dill cream cheese) was delicious. Valet parking was even free (just tipped). However the service was dismal. We weren't greeted and it took us forever to be seated as the employees were more interested in having conservations with each other than helping us. Then it took ages to place our order then ages to get our food and our water was never refilled. Such a shame because if service was better this would be 5 stars for sure!

Yelp
We went for Christmas Day breakfast and had an amazing experience. The views are second to none and everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered crab cake Benedict, short rib hash with poached eggs and hollandaise, and the cinnamon sugar French toast. Absolutely everything was spot on awesome! We were seated right away and the wait staff were attentive and timely. We will most definitely be back again. Highly recommend Tillie's to anyone wanting a beautiful memory of dining seaside!
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
Staying at Gurneys so had breakfast at Tillie's. The space outside is beautiful on the ocean. The avocado toast and porridge were good. The fruit salad was OK. Convenient spot, beautiful view of the ocean. We're sure it must be a lot different during high season.

Yohayna M.

Yelp
Delicious. Good service and ambiance. Price a little steep but if you can afford it u would recommend.
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
Lunch: please order the clam chowder and the crispy chicken sandwich. Yum! Comfortable seating at the bar and attentive and knowledgeable service. See you all again soon. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Yelp
Solid, convenient breakfast spot at Gurney's - great when you want to walk 15 steps from your room and eat in a gorgeously sunny restaurant. The whole feeling of the place is bright and relaxing and classy. Had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is basically a larger, cheesier, and gooey-er egg sandwich you'd get at your local NYC bodega. Also had the bagel and lox which was pretty good, though I'm not a fan of capers or some scales which were in the lox.

Yelp
GROSS. My avocado toast had hair after my first bite. Granted they were busy and had weddings this weekend, just not what I expected out of a 4 star resort. Rest of food was okay, service was just not great. If they are busy with weddings, they should honestly hire more service. Food during times like this should be extra sanitary. Avocados looked like they have been sitting out as well as it was patches of black. For something that's $15+ dollars you expect more. Disappointed.

Yelp
This is a challenging review to write ... highs and lows. First info: Tillie's is located in Gurney's on Old MTK Highway. Drive there, use valet parking. We made a breakfast reservation using Open Table. No issue when we arrived. They welcome dogs in the restaurant. (The people before us had one - not a service dog). We sat outside outside. Over looking the beach - beautiful! Fantastic view. We were right by the railing - which had a few ants walking by. Service: Both very friendly and slow. If you are in a rush don't come here. We arrived, about 1/4 full - not busy for a Monday at the end of Aug. Our beverages: It took almost 30 mins to get our drinks. (Surprising as the place was nearly empty.) Virgin Mary - delish, SPICY, with horseradish. And a decaf iced mocha - my son like it, but it was very small and disappeared in about 3 sips (teenage boy). For breakfast: DS has eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. He like his very much. He also had a side of crispy bacon. It arrived, cooked, dripping in fat. So much we had to wipe it down. It was flavorful, but not crispy. I had eggs Benedict with crab cakes. I strongly recommend you not get this. The crab cake was shredded crab, deep fried and split in half. Then each half put on each English muffin. It tasted terrible. Deep fried? Not fresh crab? Was completely surprised. We are in MTK how can the crab not be fresh? In addition, I had asked for the English muffin to be toasted. One half was toasted perfectly with a perfectly poached egg. The other was not toasted at all and the egg was way over cooked. It was like two different dishes in one. A tale of two cities. I nicely showed the waitress. The manager came over, looked, and profusely apologized. They nicely made me a new poached egg and English muffin. Also they comped my meal. They couldn't have been nicer. So nice people. Get a different dish than I did. You will be set.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast outdoors at Gurneys for our family of five. We sat outside and couldn't have been happier. Friendly on point service, great coffee, lots of healthy options. Especially loved the green juice, açaí bowl, quinoa bowl. Don't even look at the prices - if looking for a cheap breakfast just go to the grab and go coffee shop in lobby. Splurging at tillies is worth it!

Yelp
The Mad Russian had a business conference in Gurney's where this restaurant is located and it afforded us the opportunity to eat here a couple of times. On our first trip our reservation was held up by a party who stayed a lot longer than was expected. It was ok, however, we were able to sit outside by the bar and have a cocktail while we waited. Once inside, the hostess apologized profusely and offered to by a round of drinks for the wait we hardly endured. We were seated at a nice table by the window with beautiful views of the outside bar area and the ocean. A couple of cocktails ordered and we were able to relax a bit and peruse the menu. What we had: A round of free drinks that included a Spicy Bloody Mary and some Watermelon/ Cucumber specialty cocktails that were delicious. I've become quite the Bloody Mary snob, and I must say- their's was truly delicious with fresh garnishes that looked very inviting and were excellent, too. Far too many places just resort to a lame mixer and a shot of vodka- not so here. Clam Chowder- One thing they do exceptionally well in the End that others call Montauk, is Chowder. No exception here- we all enjoyed it and left the bowls clean. Eggs Benedict- Prepared well with liquid yolks and a great hollandaise sauce. Duck Grilled Cheese- A great take on a grilled cheese. Served with fries and very tasty. Fish and Chips- Succulent fish and also served with chips that made for an excellent meal Since we are a tightly knit bunch, I was able to sample everything. The food was very well prepared and the presentation was nice. Not extravagant, but like a beach resort should serve it for lunch. The servers were all very friendly and many came to either fill a water glass, clear a plate or check on our status. On our two visits, Rachel M and Gwen F gave us awesome service and made us feel welcomed and relaxed. They gave our daughter some crayons and a stuffed whale to occupy her while she wasn't eating and we really appreciated that. Prices were a little on the higher side, but you are staying in a very classy resort and you're in Montauk- you probably should expect that. We thought it was an enjoyable experience and would love to come back again in the near future. Well done!

Nicole H.

Yelp
The food was the biggest letdown I've had in a while. The prices are astronomical for one of the worst dishes you will have. The dishes came out cold, the burger was advertised as a smash burger and came out thick as can be, there was no sauce and the cheese wasn't even melted. This place is all ambiance and poor food. Do NOT waste your time here.

Yelp
My friend and I got seated at a table on the deck. The food was delicious! We ordered tuna poke, French toast, and the lobster roll. All 3 were great. Service was superb! I enjoyed the view, the drinks, and the food especially. Tillie's actually offers a buffet option as well. Def recommend for breakfast/brunch!

Yelp
Very tasty food (a bit pricy but its the Hamptons, so ya know, that's just the norm) I came here the other day with a very large group of people, the staff was extremely accommodating and rushed ordered a few of our meals for the people that had spa appointments. The seafood is fresh and the salads are good for one but also great as a share option!

Ciandra D.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast on a Friday morning, phenomenal views ! Unfortunately service was terrible, maybe they were having a bad day? We got seated at 9 am, someone came to the table to greet us, we ordered water And coffee to start. Im not sure what happened after that, but no one came back to the table till 945 with anything. There were only a few other tables seated. The food was fine, standard breakfast. The delayed service unfortunately ruined the experience, had to ask for refills multiple times before anyone even brought any to the table.

Yelp
My favorite part of my stay at Gurney's. I wish I had eaten the breakfast everyday! I tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, tillie's breakfast, and the steak and eggs. The pancakes are the BEST pancakes I've ever had, seriously. Every bite is sweet and fluffy without being overly sweet. I ordered scrambled eggs for the breakfast set and they were delicious. The steak and eggs came with a sauce that looked cheesy but was tangy and perfect with the steak! The ambience is great, the prices are a bit high but totally worth it! I may have to come back just for the pancakes!

Jul W.

Yelp
Extra star for the view. We stayed at Gurney's so we had lunch . Lobster roll was exactly the same at The Beach Club. It was more fishy both times than anywhere else I had in Montauk. The prime rib sandwich's bread was hard. The burger was actually the best out of our orders. Beautiful view and that's enough for me.
google avatar

Austin L.

Yelp
I ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail, the 1/2 dozen east coast oysters, the shrimp tacos, Hugo and a mimosa. Overall, it took 1.2 hours to receive the food and we were the second table to sit down at lunch hour. The drinks came quick, it was the entrees that took long. Appetizers came out in 20 minutes. The service was lacking as it was difficult to get the attention of any wait staff. The food finally came and it was underwhelming. The lobster roll is not deserving of $35. Better off stopping the roadside lobster stands for a better roll. The shrimp tacos were nothing special. The drinks were the best part, but enough to make up for the service and food. Good for pics, bad for taste!
google avatar

Nicky A.

Yelp
Really bad service! Staff stood around talking taking absolutely no notice of the fact our table of 7 people needed drinks ! Our plates were still sat in front of us 30 minutes after we had eaten and I had to ask for someone to remove them. The restaurant was empty so no excuse for this level of poor service. we stayed at Guerneys for three days over Christmas Scarpetto restaurant was perfection service excellent and food to die for not an experience we had at this place. I recommend you eat at the bar as the food there is always good at lunchtime pls don't waste your time going to this place. I love Guerneys but this has put me off I have to say !
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
Great views. Food pretty good. Service a total zero. Had to ask for one club soda 4xs. Food came out all different times. Drinks took forever. Waited 25 minutes for a check. A fraction of full capacity so really no excuse. Two meals, same issues. 2nd meal was comped, so that was nice. They get an extra star for that!

Jessica Z.

Yelp
Came to Tillie's for lunch while staying at Gurney's. Was hoping for a meal as memorable as the view (outrageous view of the beach/ocean), but the food was really subpar. Shrimp cocktail was clearly farmed raised and quite honestly hard to get down. The cesar salad with grilled chicken was in need of more dressing and the chicken was blatantly undercooked, and the whole dish had to be sent back. My family's meals were just as disappointing and the service was really, really terrible. We had to ask for things 3-4x before they would be brought out.
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
Breakfast was great, but we were not told that coffee refills were not free. They just came and refilled our coffee cups without question. Not a happy surprise on the check. The food was fresh and tasty, though.
google avatar

Lizzie T.

Yelp
The best breakfast in Montauk! Go very hungry because not only is it super tasty, but so aesthetically pleasing, you will not want to pass over any morsel. Enjoy!
google avatar

Anonymous A.

Yelp
we had lunch. I got a cob salad it was delicious. My husband got a chicken sandwich. It was huge to say the least. Other than the million flies around it was pretty good.

Audrey M.

Yelp
The price goes for the view, not the food. I had an impossible burger with fries for $28. The fries were cold and the burger bun was completely tasteless. The side of Brussels sprouts left a nasty aftertaste.
google avatar

Samantha P.

Yelp
Love the buffet in summer and cozy winter lunches Inside - Amazing views all year round and friendly staff who will go above and beyond. My favorites include the clam chowder, tuna poke, and their HUGE Cobb Salad (believe me there's enough to share!)

Nick B.

Yelp
Had a great meal here. Clam chowder was on point-- one of the best I've had. Warm lobster roll with sriracha didn't disappoint. There is A cool hidden bar behind Tillies that you can watch the game on. Recommend this place to everyone looking for a good casual hamptons meal
google avatar

Nyla I.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Tillie's! What a treat! For $20 they give you a beautiful spread of delicious pastries, yogurt, breads, fruit, oatmeal, potatoes, eggs, meat, waffles, as well as juice and coffee. Add the great service & beautiful ocean view, and you're set! They even had free valet! I'm a fan!

Chuck J.

Yelp
The worst restaurant in Montauk, an awful experience.... the worst service I've ever had in America. We asked to add a poached egg to our food and they said no, no apology nothing... so We waited an hour for our food, which turned up cold and half of it was missing. Our waitress, who was rarely spoke hardly any English (tall South American waiter with dark hair), she got our orders wrong and when we told the manager what happened, he didn't even seem to care. Do not waste your time with this place....
google avatar

Luciana F.

Yelp
Had dinner outside and ordered everything on their bar menu. The lobster roll is a must skip. The worst I had in Montauk. The burger was well prepared but nothing exciting. The avocado toast was big and the avocado creamy but needed a little more spice. We also order a chocolate cake though it looked beautiful it was just terrible. Overall I recommend the ambience and the burger with fries.

Cam D.

Yelp
Came for breakfast and it was okay in my opinion. The turkey bacon was really good. French toast too dry though I felt. My experience was that the server seemed unprofessional and they took forever to refill waters even though it wasn't busy. My partner liked the salmon bagel well enough. So-so but I definitely don't think it's worth the price
google avatar

Asha M.

Yelp
This place was an absolute disappointment. I've been trying to dine here since 2018, but they were closing at 3pm so I was unable to eat here. This time around I made it my business to travel from Sag Harbor all the way to Montauk to eat here. It was a mistake! Not only was the waitress rude and short, she was unapologetic for serving me over cooked lobster. After recommending the siracha lobster roll I thought she would apologize since it was unseasoned, dry, overcooked and extremely difficult to swallow! My "truffle" fries were just regular potato fries with a little truffle flurries sprayed on top. It wasn't baked with the truffle or cooked with it at all. For $35 plus tax this dish was by the far the worst lobster roll and truffle fries I've ever had. As a resident of NYC, I know decent food, not to mention the Hamptons should know seafood well. If I were you I'd take a hard pass on Tillies. HARD!

Mary T.

Yelp
What a lovely place to have lunch! View is incredible. Food and service are excellent. Go ahead and treat yourself!
google avatar

Rory G.

Yelp
Not sure how anyone gave this place a one star (although it's very new so I guess not everyone is patient). I had a great meal here. I mean I started with a Siracha lobster roll. How bad could it have been? Burger was cooked to perfection and quite delicious. The raw clams were very tasty. The real winner: the oysters. I don't remember exactly what the server said but basically then are hand picked and rotated daily out in the ocean.... Whatever the process they do it works, so fresh and so very delicious. This property has a very proper american 3 meal restaurant, world class Italian (Scarpetta Beach) and a beach club with beach front barbecues. Montauk/Hamptons finally stepping their game up. See you soon!!!!!

Yelp
All of Gurney's is under new management, that's is abundantly clear in every aspect but oh so evident in its mismanagement of the restaurants. The food -if you can eventually get any was delicious but not the way we were treated. After a lovely few hours at the spa and pool, we were seated outside with no wait for a table-it WAS 2 o'clock and we expected the lunch rush to be about over. Well, what we didn't expect was that every table around us would be filled with hungry, grumbling, patient would-be diners waiting an hour or more for NO lunch or half the order. The manager was apologizing and comping everyone their drinks, even a $40 credit for the couple who waited over an hour and had to leave with empty stomachs for their spa appointment. Our delicious watercress salad and tasty shrimp po-boy arrived after 3:15 amid promises that the extra drinks would be comped, and the bill reduced. Nope-we had to remind the manager of his empty promise. We promised never to return. The root of the problem is that we should have never been seated if "the kitchen was so slammed" on the gorgeous Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. A bit of pre-planning and honesty would serve them better.
google avatar

Natalie W.

Yelp
Absolutely not satisfied with the service. Ordered one dish but another was served. The waitress blamed on my friend's accent... which is beyond rudeness...

Gourmet 2.

Yelp
I use to come to Gurneys for a long time! everything is so beautiful , 4 restaurants in one place , so you can go in the morning to the beach with kids and have a delicious fish tacos, come for lunch in Tillies and have a delicious lobster roll and panzanella salad. At the night time you have the best italian restaurant in the Hamptons Scarpetta, and if you think is over wrong wrong wrong they also have the Regent which i had been in Miami and now is here also with amazing cocktails and music ! everything is perfect. Is a new world. well done

Yelp
Beware of seagulls. The bachelorette party I was with was seated outside, on a glorious Sunday morning. Upon returning from the breakfast buffet, I set my plate down and stepped away for a quick photo of the beach. It was then that I remembered we were on the water and was caught in a staring contest with a seagull that had just landed at my plate. He quickly scooped up half my food and flew away. Oh well, walked back in to the buffet and re-created my original plate. They had a pretty basic breakfast buffet, not brunch: Scrambled eggs, waffle, potatoes, sausage, bacon, omelette station and a variety of bagels, fruit, pastries and yogurts. The service was kind of weird at the table - it was hard to get our server's attention to try to order coffee and juice, and when we did he wasn't very friendly. I also would have liked to have seen the menu for plated breakfasts, because I thought the buffet was only a step above a continental breakfast, and at a real premium.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Simply the worst service I received in any restaurant anywhere! It was as if the wait staff never waited on anyone before....which is possible since good help in Montauk is hard to find. (Expensive, hard to house people, etc). I would have expected more from the new revamped Gurney's. Food was OK, but given the poor service, the experience was horrible!!

J D.

Yelp
Barely edible lunch - omlet, crab cake, club sandwich. Very small portions. Very dissapointing especially since the cost for these mini servings was $17 - $22. Service was attentive and friendly.
