Went here a few times. The first time it was nice, but the second nice was not that good, but alright. Saw hairs on the be. Overall pretty average, not bad. The breakfast was really good though. A nice variety of food available like pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs and other yummy food.

Lovely Lodge in a beautiful setting. Close to city centre but a little removed so very quiet. Clean rooms with amazing bed! Lovely staff. Would absolutely recommend.

Great hotel with parking. On entering the hotel we were met by Alex on reception. He made the check in effortless. He explained our room was up the stairs and he then proceeded to help us with our luggage (2 heavy suitcases). He is a credit to the hotel and we wished we had met many more Alex's on our trip around both New Zealands islands. On departure he did the same.

Comfortable rooms, beds, and pillows. The staff are really helpful. We'd happily stay there again.

On the edge of town but adjacent to the wonderful Botanical Gardens. Really spacious room and large bath.
In house restaurant was quite nice. Really enjoyed the Blue Cod ! Can get a bit hectic at breakfast with the bus crowds.
Not too many channels on the television but lots of rugby (yea!) unfortunately the Highlanders lost ☹️

Kudos to the check in staff, particularly, Sally Guo and Aaron who are both helpful n hospitable in assisting my family especially my hubby who needs accessible toilet n Sally took the trouble to find us a room for that purpose. Also the additional night booked with Dunedin Lodge simply worth it as they made sure we transfer to another room with ease in terms of checkout n checkin time. Next to botanic gardens n 5 mins walk to supermarket n local community are what I'd consider n recommend to all who'd like to find a suitable n excellent accommodation.

Stayed here for one night on a road trip around both islands
On arrival two 70+ people (us) entered the hotel exhausted. We were warmly welcomed by Alex and booked in. He explained that our room was upstairs. Not really what we wanted to hear but laughed it off and asked where the lift was. Alex then said where were your bags. In the car.
2 Suitcases. He then proceeded to come back to the car and lifted them out and carried them up stairs to our room. A truly exceptional and helpful young man. On departure he bought our cases down
Alex made us forget other problems we had encountered. Every hotel needs a Alex. Hold on to him.
