Taste Test: Dunkin’ and IHOP Breakfast Beers

"The coffee porter made for the brand was the stronger of the two: a dark-brown porter that poured with a thick, foamy head and, by choosing a lighter porter style over a stout, effectively carried the chain’s dark, roasted coffee flavor. Panelists likened it to chocolate-covered espresso beans and called it a solid, well-executed coffee beer—fun and satisfying even if not the absolute best on the market (one reviewer quipped, “I give this five Matt Damons”)." - Nikita Richardson

Google
You will not see too many five star Dunkin reviews from me - in fact, more on the opposite scale. This one was great. Super fast and friendly service and brought our made to order drinks out to us. While every Dunkin' says they have midnight dark coffee, none i have seen actually have it brewed. This spot offered to make us a cup of we wanted. Most times we ger the rolled eyes and a scoff. Again, here it is friendly service with a smile.

I see a guy walk away from the door at 7:54pm. It closes at 8pm. I knocked waited then pulled at my phone to snap the pix before someone came out asking me not to put this up. Don't be closing early y'all. If it's 8pm, it's 8pm. Stop locking up early.

Hands down best dunkin anywhere in the area. Drinks are made w care and they never short you on the milk which is so frustrating at other dunkins. Every so offten they throw in some extra hashbrowns or a munchkin which truly makes my day. The staff are friendly and accomidating and the manager is always busy cleaning and taking extra measures to make sure everything us done right.

Each day I travel from Livingston to Piscataway for work, and I'm on the road with appts most of week. I WAIT for my morning coffeee until I get to the Warren Dunkin because of the quality of service, promptness and pleasant staff waiting for me with a smile each moming. I've never had a bad experience at this store and in addition, it is spotless and clean. I always see the staff cleaning up and reorganizing mobile pickups. I see the smiles at the counter, and many times they see me crossing the lot and have my order in hand to give to me. I hear the same comments from their daily customers. I've complimented the owner repeatedly and while I wrote a review a long time ago, I had the need to write another because this store is well worth the stop. While Livingston has 2 stores (just ok) and Piscataway has one (awful) store, and I'm sure countless in between on my journey each day back and forth, this Dunkin is where I call home and I can't say enough about the store, as well as the staff!!!

So amazing, Dunkin' Donuts in Warren has consistently delivered an exceptional coffee experience, making each visit a highlight of my day. The staff's enthusiasm and efficiency stand out, creating an atmosphere that exudes positivity. From the vibrant energy in the line to the moment I receive my coffee, there's a distinct youthful charm that sets Dunkin' apart. The coffee itself is nothing short of the holy grail – rich, flavorful, and precisely the pick-me-up needed. Kudos to Dunkin' for crafting both a delightful beverage and an environment that makes each sip a rejuvenating experience.

The guy working there was extremely rude and inattentive, he kept purposely messing up my coffee order making it dark and wanted light and started laughing in front of my face, very very rude and disrespectful I’m never coming to this Dunkin again, short white gut with haze/blue eyes and a hat

Google
Good and coffee are as expected. But the staff is difficult to deal with. If they mix up your order, you’re going to get huge attitude when asked to correct the order. I placed an order online for 5 drinks around 2 pm. When it up, a girl came around the counter, asked if I placed this big order, and then rolled her eyes at me before storming away angry. Seriously disrespectful staff. Customer service needs some work.

If these guys mess up your order they roll their eyes at you like it’s your fault. And they still might not make it right.

Yelp
This location is always clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can tell that it's a franchise owned by a person as opposed to a large chain. They remember your name and order as a regular. I just wish they had curbside back.

Yelp
Awful experience! The workers were rude! My daughter went there with her friends from a developmental disability program along with supervised staff. They were greeted with looks, the tip jar was moved, and they were rushed. Body language from the workers showed that they just could not be bothered. Terrible customer service. I will never go back into that Dunkin Donuts ... EVER. Adults with special needs deserve and have the right to be always treated with respect just like everyone else.

Yelp
Really friendly staff and enjoyed my pumpkin spice latte. They also gave me a couple extra donut holes.

Yelp
Stop by here every now and then when I'm passing by the area. It's pretty much your typical DD. They normally have a good selection of donuts available which is more then I can say for many other DD locations I've been to that never have anything. The people there are nice and service is pretty quick. Stopped by this morning because I wanted to try out this new sweet and salted cold brew. I thought it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular but I enjoyed it, a nice change of pace from my regular hot or iced coffee. I always like to try out there new offerings to see if I'll find a new favorite but that comes with a downside too because of course most things are only for a limited time only.... Just like my Almond Joy iced coffee was :(

Yelp
I come here often . I like that DD finally started serving dark roast coffee. I prefer it over the regular. There donuts are good and I like that they make breakfast sandwiches. The turkey bacon flatbread is delicious... Especially if your watching ur calories. I've been known to pickup munchkins for my daughter to take to school, muffins , or even bagels. There all equally yummy! My favorite DD donut is the boston cream. I've been eating it for years. It's a custard filled donut dipped in chocolate on the top. No matter which donut you choose you can't go wrong. I like how DD in the fall makes pumpkin donuts, lattes, and coffee. It really makes me happy when I can have pumpkin anything . As it gets closer to Christmas DD makes peppermint flavored hot chocolate that I also enjoy. In the summer I enjoy their chocolate coffee coolatta . It thick and rich. I think they give Starbucks a run for their money but DD is a lot cheaper. I would give this place 4 stars but there not open 24 hours and parking can be a nightmare. It's on a busy corner of a strip mall. When it's raining it can be a hassle . It would be nice to have my local DD open past 9pm. Service does tend to be slow. This place can get very busy. I will continue to come here until something better opens in this area.

Yelp
Friendly staff and good service (unlike other DD's). Pretty small inside but never had an issue finding a seat.

Yelp
It's a Dunkin' Donuts. The people here work ridiculous hours that can start for customers to enter the business at 4am and leave by 11pm... I would hate working here... except for the doughnuts, which I feel would make me sick after working around them for 2 days. Anyhow, the people here stay friendly, and they will make your order as requested. The lines can be long during morning rush hour and on the weekends in the mornings, because... everyone loves doughnuts and coffee. Sugar, carb and caffeine fix for super cheap? Why not? The store itself is small and feels cramped, but if you need a fix, it doesn't matter. They usually have a special for buying the coffee beans, there's often a coupon from somewhere, but either way, remember to tip your servers. This is a grueling job, and I am always glad that the folks here are not rude and spitting in my coffee. This is surprising when the customers tend to be rude and in a rush. There is always parking in the lot. Not my favorite coffee by any measure, but, if you want a HUGE latte (a quart... 32 oz.), this is your place. It's nice that they have almond milk and lattes, so it kind of competes with the Starbucks nearby... but it's a totally different flavor and feel. However, the hours beat out other coffee shops hands down in this area.

Yelp
Great place .. it combines the best effects of a Starbucks ( Great seating and WiFi ) and DD ( great coffee ) . Comfortable sofas , chairs, tables , plug point sand free wifi . Love Love love this place !

Yelp
I didn't think it was possible to screw up a Latte, but without a doubt this Dunkin Donuts does it. I've been going to this Dunkin for close to 4 months and without fail they always seem to screw it up. I feel like anything that isn't a simple Coffee w/sugar and cream they just can't seem to figure out. I can understand a new employee not making it correct, but the MANAGER(!!) has made mine on a few occasions and it's absolutely the worse thing I've tasted. My advice - if you aren't ordering a simple coffee and a bagel go across the street to the Starbucks.

Yelp
Ive been coming here on the way to my new job.... And im going to be finding another place. On wednesday, I saw an employee taking uncooked doughnuts, uncovered, out of the trunk of his corolla. The people are nice, they havent ever messed up my coffee order, but after seeing that i am never ever ever ever going here again. That unsanitary and completely unacceptable, not to mention unnecessary. Get some dang saran wrap.

Bethann O.

Yelp
Terrible.. Today's chocolate glazed tasted like someone accidentally sprayed them with rich spray... Spoke to the manager in private as to not cause a scene.. He wasn't interested. Hopefully no one will get seriously ill.

Yelp
Busy, corner store. Sloppy interior. Check your order before you leave, it is usually wrong, or dried out, or too sweet, or overcooked etc. Most of the donuts reek of artificial ingredients. Imagine how good it could be.

Yelp
This is another one of my go to DD's. It isn't the easiest to spot from the road since it is in a side spot of a pretty big shopping complex. The parking lot is huge. I always feel like this store is a little unkept and the inside is a little old. As is the case with most DD's, the finished product is always great but this is not one of the best DD's I have been to.

Yelp
The quality of food here is sub par. The store offered to remake the food if we wanted to come back (was apologetic and did all he could in the situation) but it isn't the first time the food here has been low quality.

Yelp
I was overall happy with the service. I really enjoyed the crispy cream and they enjoyed mine as well. I didn't stick my dick in just the donuts if you know what I mean. I was disappointed by the happy ending I received the guy there just held on to tight without using jelly as lube

Yelp
This is the WORST Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. Unfortunately it is right down the street from my work so I stop here every morning and on lunch. Something is seriously wrong with these employees, except for the one guy (don't know his name) but he is always smiling, VERY friendly and on top of things. The larger man is also competent, but thats it - the rest of these employees seem to have brain damage. There will be like 5 people behind the counter, a HUGE line and only ONE person taking care of the customers. The guy with the glasses and curly hair - OMG he HAS to be related to the owner because there is NO way anyone would hire this guy - I hate to say this, but he is just plain stupid. He screws up the orders ALL the time, he has no idea how to use the cash register and just stands there staring at it until another employee come to try and help. I'll order, say a Ham and Cheese flat bread, no egg....he charges it as Ham Egg and cheese then when i tell him its wrong no egg, he has no idea how to fix it. They seriously need to hire more competent people here - it is a complete disgrace. I mean, the Dunkin Donuts on Route 22 in Somerville, those employees are AMAZING! They get you in and out so fast, they all know how to use the cash register, they all understand English so they don't mess up your order. Seriously - if you don't need to go here, go out of your way to another one. And to the owner - get rid of these employees - except for that nice happy guy and the bigger man - they are wonderful - but really, that guy with the glasses and curly hair - send him to school or something.
