Stayed here one night (friday to saturday), and it's my first time staying at a YHA. I can't really share much but the first impression went well. Quick service during check in and check out. At the time of stay, there are some backpackers around. I can tell that some of them found some casual job nearby and are staying long term at the YHA. The place is well maintained, kept clean. Nothing smells like ol' shoes. We stayed in a double room on the 2nd floor aka top floor. The wood floor is a bit squeaky, but nothing annoying. The room is moderately okay, it goes with a single door fridge and a heater. No ensuite bathroom. You can book the rooms via phone or book and pay online, quite easy. And if you book online, you will get a free wifi. The double room also comes along with a small bag that has few basic cutleries. Doesn't come with free breakfast. Only free tea and coffee all day long. The location is great! It's right in front of the beach!!!

Staff extremely rude. Owner talked to us like dogs, threatening us as we were just going to meet Friends on the parking before going somewhere else. Not Even botherering asking if we were visitors or not… what a warm welcome !!

Probably one of the best hostels I have been to. Great vibes and common areas.

This is a true gem in Dunsborough! If you're travelling low key, appreciate nature, mixed cultures this is the place to be! I come here for over 10+ years and it's still my favourite place. The owner & staff are hands on, very kind and if they can accommodate you they definitely will. The location is magical. All amenities are present and in good working order. Highly recommend this hostel!

Aged building, our double/triple room was opposite the bathroom which was noisy but otherwise fine. Some busier YHAs are always in new condition but as with many re regional ones this was more rustic/showing it's age. A great location with beach access. Friendly vibes and staff. Short reception hours but they're still helpful and friendly. I'd happily stay again.

I spend about 4 months in this hostel. It was an amazing experience and a lot of people who stayed there think the same. This is a great place if you are looking for work (also 2nd year visa work) and staying a little longer. People at reception are happy to help you find something. The whole area is beautiful which offers anything from surfing to wine tasting or just relaxing on the beach. A lot of people stay several months and there is a reason for it. You got the beach RIGHT IN FRONT of the hostel, the place is great with big outside community area with volleyball, BBQ and much much more. The place is clean and people are friendly. Some people might think it is a bit more expensive than other places, but it is totally worth it. I usually do not really rate the places I stayed in, but this hostel was worth it.||||Can fully recommend it and might be coming back some time!
