Dunstan Road Wines

Dunstan Road wines need to be a must stop in your central otago wineries tour. Honestly the best wine we tried!! Marc was an absolute delight, he laid out a wide range of the wines he grows on his land and it was lovely to talk to a local winemaker about his process, the region and everything in between. We even got to feed his little lambs which was very wholesome 🥰

What a fabulous find! A wine tasting direct from the maker of this family run vineyard. Such a personal experience that was so relaxed in his beautiful garden. Delicious wines (we ended buying a full selection) and a wonderful experience. Thank you Marc, and to your lovely daughter who entertained my four year old the whole time we were there! Dropped into Dunstan’s Road winery while cycling and discovered some delicious Chardonnay. It’s a small, owner operated winery width a welcoming atmosphere and some nice wines. Definitely give it a try.

Had such a great time visiting this winery. It's tiny, so we messaged the owners on Facebook a few days early to make arrangements to come by. When we arrived, we had a lovely, quiet tasting with the winemaker. The wines themselves were a delight. I'm generally not a rose fan, but we came home with a bottle because it was so dynamic, and the pinot noir was an absolute powerhouse that has changed my concept of what a pinot can be. Definitely worth a visit!

Marc gives an excellent tour. You can sample the whole range, and he even gave us a few samples from the barrels with a wine thief. All of the wines are excellent, and with such a variety there will be something for everyone. Cute lambs too.
