"Durell gets wind and fog rolling in from both the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay; the soils vary from sandy loams to ancient rocky river beds to volcanic, iron-rich clay. The Pinots are expressive; the Chardonnays intense, so it's no wonder winemakers flock to Durell." - Jonathan Cristaldi

Came here with my best friend when I was visiting from the east coast and loved my visit here! If you're looking for a private, intimate tasting, this is it. The ATV tour was a definite highlight and the views from the top of the hill were stunning. Lisa was a friendly, wonderful, and knowledgeable addition to the experience. My favorite was the dry rose and I fell in love with that Toma truffle cheese they served as well. I definitely will be coming back here!

Disappointing Experience – Wouldn’t Recommend Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown and not worth the time. None of the staff seemed welcoming or knowledgeable about winemaking, which set a frustrating tone. We booked this tour and wine tasting specifically for my vegan friends, but the experience was mishandled. The person who scheduled the tour failed to communicate our dietary needs to the tasting guide. As a result, the cheese and cracker pairing was entirely unusable. It’s frustrating that in 2024, a winery couldn’t accommodate common dietary restrictions like veganism or lactose intolerance, especially when every other winery on our trip was able to. The ATV tour was a major disappointment. It lasted maybe 10 minutes with only two brief stops, and taking photos wasn’t encouraged. The rushed pace made it feel like an afterthought, and since we dressed for wine tasting—not fast, bumpy ATV drive—it was uncomfortable. Granted, we assumed the pathway would be a little more taken care of or used. The tasting guide did shine when sharing the history of the property and current owners, but her approach felt more suited to a large commercial winery than an intimate, specialty winery. Overall, the experience lacked attention to detail and thoughtfulness, leaving us feeling it was a waste of time. I'll try to come back and add photos.

My husband and I had a phenomenal tasting experience with Lisa. From the moment we walked up to the property, she made us feel right at home. Her depth of knowledge of the industry and Dunstan wine is incredible. We enjoyed wine from their prestige Durell Vineyard; for both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and their newest 2019 Star Moon Pinot Noir from their new vineyard site in Willamette Valley (Oregon). Everything was delicious. We purchased two bottles of each, and I will say the Oregon Pinot day two really developed even deeper flavors. Even in the winter, the entire estate is extremely picturesque. I couldn’t possibly capture the essence of the estate. You must experience in person. I promise, you won’t be disappointed. We will absolutely be back! Thank you again Lisa for an unforgettable experience!

This vineyard tour has got to be one of the top wine tasting / wine enjoyment experiences I've ever had. Lisa was a great guide, touring us around the vineyard. It was super low key but tons of fun to see the different blocks of vines, get to know about the history of the vineyard and then taste some of the great Dunstan Pinots under a giant oak tree. If you like fine and fancy experience, this may not be for you. If you realize that wine originates with farmers and comes from the land, you will love this tour.
