20 Best Beaches in Europe

"In the summertime, swimming in the shadow of Durdle Door — a massive rock arch that plunges into the sea — is an otherworldly experience. And when temperatures start to dip, a hike along the cliffs is something you won't soon forget." - Travel + Leisure Editors

First time visitors with our Motorhome. Very private gravel pitches with good facilities close by which were always clean and looked after. Water temperature in the showers could have been a few degrees warmer but really hot water elsewhere. Good bar/ restaurant on site but it was a bit on the expensive side especially for drinks. Great location to visit Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, but be prepared for a bit of tough walking and good footwear is essential. Nice friendly and helpful staff.

Visited here on the touring part of the site. Very good experience with checking in. Excellent toilet and shower facilities as well as plenty of waste bins and also some waste disposal points. The staff here are also extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we got into a bit of trouble with our motorhome being stuck on some grass, some kind members of staff helped us get out. Thank you very much for that. The pitches were very good, with a good amount of privacy and space. Overall very good value for the price and perfect location if you are wanted to visit durlde door and the surrounding coastline. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because campfires are not permitted, and personally I think these are one of the best parts of camping. However, I understand not all sites can accommodate this. I would highly recommend this site.

Sadly mixed reviews on this holiday park. Firstly, the pitch size for my campervan was superb. Each pitch is very private and surrounded by neet hedgerows. Sadly even with my van on the highest level on the chocks, the van was still on a slope. The restaurant food was 1st class, but I would definitely not call it a restaurant. It was more like a café. Being so close to the iconic Durdle Door was amazing. I also had a few fantastic coastal path walks. The main issue was the communication between the staff. No seems to know what is going on. When we arrived to check in, our friends checked in first, the chap behind the desk said " I'll just get you key", We were both in campervans. The second BIG issue was that the reception said that the restaurant was not doing Sunday roast anymore. I googled and found a superb restaurant called The Castle Hotel about a mile away. We booked it, but be warned, it was expensive. Third issue. I asked the young lad at reception, what was the easiest route. He informed me that the easiest route was to go to the end of the car park and take the cost path. I tried it, very nice walk as well. The issue being our friend has a very bad knee and would not be able to take that route. As a test, I took to road route, much shorter, and much easier. Forth issue, A taxi for one mile was £14 each way. The Food at the Castle was superb but like I said, expensive. When we got back and whent to the bar, a sign on the counter said "Sunday Roast Available". When i told the lady behind the bar, she was shocked. "That's why we were so quiet". Annoying to say the least. Our meal would have been considerably cheaper, easier to get too. We were not at all happy. Sadly due to all this communication, we will not be returning.

We thought the site was perfect. Clean , well maintained and welcoming. Loved the surroundings and the woodland areas. It was easy to walk or drive to Durdle Door itself.|Felt safe and comfortable for two older ladies.|The premium accommodation was home from home and beautifully situated with lovely views. We had an evening in the restaurant, where we received a friendly welcome and a very acceptable meal. |Even the weather was kind! |I have already recommended the Park to family and friends.

I want to be honest as possible with this review. Arrived and greated fantasticly by reception team We were staying on the touring pitch. Unfortunately the warden made us feel very unwelcome quickly. He opened the van up without asking scaring the children and made them feel uncomfortable. We got set up then the warden came back to tell us the awning was incorrect and tents are not allowed on site after showing him the advert for the awning stating its a drive away awning for 20 minutes we agreed to disagree. He stated at all times the awning had to attached to camper when on site unfortunately other campervans didn't comply with this but it wasn't a problem to him. He made us very so unwelcome and uncomfortable every time he drove past staring (at speed I may add) with children about Pitch was okay unfortunately the crows pooed over everything (awning and van) Good water and electric hookup Rules for the campsite directly behind touring pitch seemed nonexistent loud music fire pits shouting like a live episode of jermery kyle and to top it off smoking drugs blowing directly into are awning luckily enough we went out most of the time Shower block was disappointing only being cleaned once a day would appear to not be enough. Poo below toilet roll holder not cleaned. Showers were lukewarm. I did try every shower at different times to see if it was different one shower was like steam with very little pressure. Washing up area was brilliant Fridge freezer to use sockets if needed, washing machine smelt like dog and microwave to use Restaurant fair prices good staff, good kids food. Alcohol fair prices . Bit like a wetherspoons Didn't like that every time you pay for something it asked for a tip We didn't camp but not somewhere i would recommend very slopped and not to big of an area Shop was good a little pricey but you expect that. Great location for the complete area if venturing out Don't arrive early and go to durdle door before you get onto pitch it cost £12.50 for the hour we went Not somewhere we would stay again

Beautiful holiday park. Peaceful. Gorgeous views. Flat. Short walk to Durdle Door beach (which is extremely steep & loads of steps). A fabulous woodland walk with kids agility. Lovely on site pub, but pricey. Spar shop, which is well stocked.

Shelter shed - Durdle door holiday park A perfect little family get away! Me, my husband and our 6 month old baby spent a wonderful few days in the shelter shed. You feel as though you’re in a lovely private area within the pretty courtyard, the pool is a lovely size (and catches the evening sun perfectly for an evening dip and lie down on a lounger with a cider while the baby naps!). The accommodation itself is beautifully light, super clean and has everything you need for an easy self-catering stay plus a very comfy bed! All topped off by being in touching distance of the stunning Durdle door views and coastline. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Excellent campsite in a good location. Just spent my 4th weekend there and it never disappoints. Pub with food (if you want that kind of thing), well stocked shop, children's playground, laundry room, clean (free of charge) showers and toilet blocks. Freezer facility Easy access to Durdle Door beach, although you do need a certain level of fitness because the path slopes steeply and there are some steps. Lulworth is around a mile and a half away along a cliff top walk - also quite steep, but there is another longer and more level route (not accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs). Plenty of farm and wildlife to see and hear if you keep an eye out. Do take earplugs if you are a light sleeper - it's one large rookery! Camp on the 'field' rather than in the trees for a more quiet time of it. I really cannot recommend this place enough. If you don't like tents, there are static caravans ('mobile' homes) for hire and also places for your own caravan, overlooking the sea. Everyone should go!
