On the Grid : Dürüm Bar

"Durum Bar, they say Durum is best in Berlin but in Nørrebro they’re doing it better. The bustling atmosphere is perfect at anytime of day but comes into it’s own late at night. With all the classics and large selection vegan and vegetarian meals Durum bar is bound to fill your void." - Kaktus København

Google
Popped into Durim Bar on Nørrebrogade for a quick late-night meal and was genuinely impressed. I had the No. 2 – the meat was excellent, super fresh and juicy, and the durim was clearly made fresh. Loved the fires crackling inside too – adds a cosy, authentic vibe to the place. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It is exactly the kind of spot you want when you’re craving something satisfying late in the evening. Will definitely come again. A solid spot worth revisiting.

Extremely disappointing experience. One star is a lot for this restaurant. Waited 20 minutes just to place the order—thought the line meant good food, but unfortunately, I was wrong. The food preparation felt rushed, yet it still took ages: bread arrived 15 minutes after the rest of the food was as given to us and the salads were clearly not fresh—tasted like they’d been sitting in a fridge for days. Despite being listed as a Halal restaurant on Google, there was no Halal signage anywhere, which was concerning. Ended up leaving most of the food untouched and going to another restaurant nearby. Waste of money and a frustrating experience overall. Please avoid if you want to treat yourself and pocket well.

Google
The place to grab your durum in Copenhagen - whether it’s lunch, dinner or a late night snack this does the trick! The bread is freshly made, the vegetables are fresh and the meat/falaffel tastes great. The prices are reasonable, especially before night. Don’t miss out on the one with tzatziki!

Google
Have had 6 durum kebabs in Copenhagen this past week and I think this one was my favourite. Very large size, well wrapped, nice mixture of ingredients, Chili oil is separately packaged for hygiene, and bread is freshly made before you eat it.

Google
Very rude & disrespectful service. Man at front was clearly upset even when wanting to pay a few krone for a bag to carry food. Literally everywhere else we visited in Denmark and Sweden was welcoming and kind. Avoid this location.

Stumbled upon this place as we were walking down the street and stopped in to give it a go. Was not disappointed. There was a bit of a language barrier when ordering, but the staff was helpful and patient and walked us through the process. We had the falafel plate which was really delicious. The falafel was well seasoned, crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. The plate came with 3 sides which were all fresh and flavorful. Picked red cabbages and warm pita rounded out the meal. The shawarma we saw others having also looked amazing. Can't really say enough good about this place. Great food. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Impeccably clean. Spend your money here. These guys are doing it right and deserve you business.

Google
Perfect home made lafah (dürüm), what might be the best kebab meat in Nørrebro, fresh rich salads and polite service

Recommended to me by a local on the metro. The food was worth it!

Yelp
I give this place 5 stars because it was (no question) the best durum kebab I have had in Denmark so far. I am therefore rating only the durum kebab I got and nothing else. Fast order, pleasant shawarma master, clean display, clean interior, nothing to complain about. The durum wrap itself was really delicious, baked after I ordered. Meat had a very good flavour with a lot of spices dominating the taste which is correct for my taste (since it's in most cases lamb which has a very strong odour). They added some salad, tomatoes, pickled cabbage, onions and some jalapeños along with a creme fraiche dressings and my durum kebab was ready. Price was 39DKK which is probably slightly more than other shawarma bars around Norrebro but totally okay with me and it is worth it. Since I am in the area quite often, I will most likely be back very fast. That was my first time at this place and certainly not last.

Yelp
I was excited to explore Nørrebrogade where there are kebab shops lining both sides of the street. After some reading I decided to try out Dürüm Bar. I ordered the standard durum wheat kebab with shawarma (beef as I don't believe they serve lamb). The durum was AMAZING - freshly made on the spot, hot and a bit crispy. However, I found the shawarma to be very dry. It's supposed to be authentic here where it's rougher and with more spices, but I wasn't a fan. I did, however, love all the additions inside - lettuce, tomatoes, red pickled cabbage, sliced red onions, jalapeños, and creme fraiche. I ordered chips as well, which were pretty standard and served with mayo. The portion sizes are big and the staff are very friendly, however I wasn't very impressed with the kebab itself so I'd probably choose to try out a different place next time.

Yelp
100% best falafel in Copenhagen. Don't listen to anyone else. This is the freshest you'll find. Great value for money and it's always open when you need it. Fast and good service.

Yelp
What an excellent spot for a fresh Durum wrap or kebab. Nørrebrogade has a lot of middle eastern influence. For being in Copenhagen, this place is dirty cheap. All of the flavors were perfect and the food was really fresh. It was a nice way to end a long day of travel.

Yelp
As my first Durum wrap, this place was a great first experience. The wrap is super flavourful, not overpowered by the meat and has lots of vegetables to balance it out. Also great value for the quality of food and speed of service.

Yelp
45 dkk for a durum wrap with some dressing of your choice (or fried potatoes). It looks like the yogurt drink in a cup is popular here. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but it was ok. Still fresh and had taste. My partner got sick after eating here, but it's possible that could have been a coincidence.

Yelp

Yelp
The 5 stars are for the falafel and breads. Overall, 4 and a half stars. Agree with Mina K. The home baked durum and pita breads (made to order!) are outstanding. Nowhere else in CPH does this. Tried a kebab last time and it was decent but right now the falafel durum is being sampled and has to win "best falafel in cph" so far...

Yelp
At Dürüm Bar I had homemade pitabread with shawarma. The shawarma they make here is by many considered "authentic": it's rougher, thicker and differently spiced from the standard and ever present cheap shawarma found in the surrounding Nørrebro area. You can choose to have red kale/cabbage in your pita, which I did, instead of the usual salad, tomatoes and onions. It's definitely a change from most of the other sharwarma places in Copenhagen, but not a positive one in my opinion. I simply much prefer the normal flavor of shawarma and the usual combo of salad, tomatoes and onion.

Yelp
The best kebab in town! The place have a good amount of seating, but be there before dinner time, otherwise the place will be packed. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and they have a great selection of different sharwarmas. The food mama makes the durum pancake and pita from scratch (tastes outstanding!!), the meat is perfectly spiced and the taste flavors they add is a combination of food heaven. The fries you recieve to your durum is perfectly cruchy. The price is allright, so this place is highly recommendable!

Yelp
each pizza/kebab/grill bar/etc. has its own specialty. the durum falafel is what you come here for. the generously portioned number 14 is a particular favourite; perfect flatbread (made in house) wrapped around salad, green falafel with fresh herbs, and hummus. it's consistent and wrapped neatly, which is good for lunch in a white shirt or when you're heading home so drunk that you can't even hold a durum roll. you should be ashamed! just kidding. for kebab, i suggest you head over to kebabistan.

Yelp
My favorite Dürüm Bar on Nørrebro! The bread is freshly made when you order. That makes is slightly soft and maybe not for everybody - but I love it! The staff is always in a good mood. They also have delicious and quite inexpensive salads, hummus, samosas, etc. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quick dinner on Nørrebrogade! Gets more expensive at night!

Yelp
Durum bar is my go to kebab place! The place is pretty big and can accommodate the late rushes they tend to get, plus they're quite quick. I usually get the durum roll with fries and you can't go wrong with that, but they also have really delicious salads and other vegetarian options like the falafel which are all tasty. Highly highly recommend.

Yelp
Pretty good Dürüm with good fries which is homemade at a reasonable price. However, the meat was a bit too dry for my taste and the lack of salad unfortunately did not help. Definitely one of the better kebab places on Nørrebrogade, but mediocre compared to some other places.

Yelp
Picked up a shawarma the other night at 5am. Best I've ever had but then again I was quite drunk :) highly recommend :)

Yelp
Great local place for falafel wraps, and the fries are particularly good. It's closing time at 6am makes it a key place for takeaway after a night out. Service is quick and you can see the flatbread and pitas being made fresh. Prices are also very good for a large portion of food!
