Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok

This isn't a bad hotel, its just very misdescribed as an "upper upperscale" hotel, for which you need to head to the nearby Dusit Thani. Much of the hotel seems to have the original fittings from when it was first opened. There's clearly a hot water issue as 1 shower in the room wasn't working and the other went hot and cold. The first day the daily room service was forgotten and the app that you are encouraged to use was only respond to on chat intermittently. On the plus staff the staff are friendly, especially the smiley lady at breakfast who I apologies that I have forgotten your name. Breakfast was good for our gluten free requirements. Beds are good and the suite was massive.

It’s clear that this hotel must have been a very modern and stylish property when it first opened. However, after many years, the guest rooms now appear noticeably worn—furnishings are yellowing, overall maintenance feels lacking, and cleanliness needs significant improvement. There was visible dust in several corners, and even strands of hair from a previous guest left on the pillow, which was quite unsettling. On the positive side, the gym is well-equipped, the pool area is relaxing, and the staff members are polite and friendly. But at this price point, the overall room condition and cleanliness do not match the expectation. Unless the hotel undergoes a thorough renovation, there are many other accommodations that offer a better and more comfortable stay for the same cost.

We stayed at the hotel twice during our trip to Thailand – once at the beginning and again at the end. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and within walking distance of central areas. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and always ready to help. I would especially like to mention the excellent service I received from the front desk representative, Myo, who was in touch with me before our stay through the hotel app and continued to assist us throughout our visit. He was extremely courteous and helpful. A wonderful team with a genuine willingness to assist. Beyond that, the hotel is clean, smells great, and the rooms are spacious and met all our needs. We’d be happy to return!

Absolutely fantastic hotel, location, view, room and attitude by staff was of the highest order- pure bliss and perfection. The staff are super helpful- Manager Win cannot be recommended highly enough for her ability to look after hotel patrons needs. This is a very clean and beautiful hotel, with an excellent chef....the food from the restaurant is simply amazing. If you blink, you'll miss the pool and garden area, it's hidden away like a little gem giving it that private feeling of a mini Shangri-La. All in all, possibly the best place I've ever stayed in to date, with very honest staff who will ensure your stay in Bangkok is everything you dreamed of. Highly recommend.

The hotel is located on a dead-end street, not far from public transportation. The staff are very friendly! We received a complimentary upgrade to a better room upon arrival. What appealed to us most was the beautiful swimming pool, but unfortunately it was not as expected. The pool is on the second floor, surrounded by tall buildings. Unfortunately, the buildings around it prevent the sun from shining on the pool or its surroundings, so the pool was (super) cold and not pleasant for swimming! It wasn't heated either, which was a disappointment. The shower was a 'battle' between too cold and too hot. A technician came to take a look but couldn't fix it. His advice was also not applicable. He didn't really understand English either. The rooms are a bit dated and the air conditioning is still very noisy even on the lowest setting. For a 5-star hotel, there is room for improvement. The price-quality ratio could also be better.

This is the only hotel I’ve been to in Bangkok, but trust me you will love it (I have pretty high standards). One thing worth mentioning though - don’t expect to be able to sunbathe here. Even though the pool area is great - due to the surrounding buildings sun never really covers it. Apart from that - the hotel is great.

One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was the swimming pool, photos on the hotel’s website are very appealing. As we hoped to enjoy some sunshine after travelling from a cold climate. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool does not receive ANY sunlight throughout the day, which was very disappointing for us. The room was noticeably more worn and dated than shown online. The air conditioning had a strong moldy smell that made breathing uncomfortable, and it produced constant loud noise during our stay. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and professional, both during the booking process and onsite. The location is convenient, with a BTS station just a 1–2 minute walk away, and Central World within walking distance. However, not much daily amenities nearby, which may be inconvenient for some guests. Overall, the hotel did not match the condition shown in the photos on its website, and it felt somewhat misleading.

This was my first time staying with Dusit suites and first time visiting Bangkok. ||The hotel staff were amazing and really go above and beyond. There were families, singles and everyone in between, the staff catered to all individually. ||On my second last night there the hotel Manager visited my friend and I in person, as we were having breakfast, to make sure everything was going well and asked if there was anything they could do to further enhance the remainder of our stay. ||I felt really looked after and it was almost as if she had read my mind, as I was about to ask for late checkout, yet the manager so kindly offered to me free of charge along with her business card if we needed anything else.||It really makes your holiday that extra bit special having such lovely customer service. ||The Rooms are so spacious and I loved the view from both my balcony's. Again the hotel staff were there every morning to service the room and did such an amazing job, always asking first if it was ok to clean and able to come back later if you weren't ready or just wanted to chill.||I really took advantage of the room service, with an abundance on offer! with both, local and western cuisine options available.||Thank you so much to everyone at Dusit Suites! for putting so much effort into making my first stay in a place so foreign to me, so comforting and welcoming. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for that extra bit of kindness and comfort.
