Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok

Travelled as a couple for a holiday in Thailand this was our first hotel on arrival in Bangkok. Initial impressions on approaching the hotel were not good - its down a very poorly maintained road which has rubbish all over - the footpaths are also very poor. (Management should consider geting this access tidyied up!). On turning into the hotel things improved a lot - the reception is very welcoming and the staff are excellent. A big thumbs up to the help we got from Chokchai in planning our trips out etc...|Our suite on the 4th floor was very spacious with a seperate kitchen / lounge and large bedroom and excellent bathroom - they are very well equipped and very clean. Both the lounge and the bedroom had balconies which overlooked the neighbourhood. The airconditioning was also excellent! The hotel was very quiet and relaxing.|We did eat at the restaraunt and made use of the snacks and drinks that were provided free on an afternoon. These meals were excellent as was the breakfast in the morning! We did use the pool on one morning and it was a lovely quiet area to relax. (unfortunately it does not get much sun - although there is a sundeck above).|The hotel is very near to the skytrain - approx 50m and this was a very useful way of getting around the city.|We did make good use of Ubers to and from the hotel as they are cheap and plentiful. A shopping center is walkable - about 15 to 20 minutes away. We found it an excellent base for trips around the capital.

I had a fabulous stay at the Hotel. All the staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel is clean and spacious with great big well equipped rooms. The location is fantastic, right next to the BTS, So very convenient for getting around. There are lots of malls within walking distance. The food in the kitchen,the restaurant staff and room service was really good. Keng working at the front door was really lovely and helpful taking my bags to and from my Room following surgery. Julia, the manager went out of our way to advise on some good skincare products to buy in Thailand, which was very kind. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This isn't a bad hotel, its just very misdescribed as an "upper upperscale" hotel, for which you need to head to the nearby Dusit Thani. Much of the hotel seems to have the original fittings from when it was first opened. There's clearly a hot water issue as 1 shower in the room wasn't working and the other went hot and cold. The first day the daily room service was forgotten and the app that you are encouraged to use was only respond to on chat intermittently. On the plus staff the staff are friendly, especially the smiley lady at breakfast who I apologies that I have forgotten your name. Breakfast was good for our gluten free requirements. Beds are good and the suite was massive.

It’s clear that this hotel must have been a very modern and stylish property when it first opened. However, after many years, the guest rooms now appear noticeably worn—furnishings are yellowing, overall maintenance feels lacking, and cleanliness needs significant improvement. There was visible dust in several corners, and even strands of hair from a previous guest left on the pillow, which was quite unsettling. On the positive side, the gym is well-equipped, the pool area is relaxing, and the staff members are polite and friendly. But at this price point, the overall room condition and cleanliness do not match the expectation. Unless the hotel undergoes a thorough renovation, there are many other accommodations that offer a better and more comfortable stay for the same cost.

Absolutely amazing stay, beautiful hotel, spacious suite and great service. Especially thanks to Keng who was extremely helpful - organised for us tickets for great rooftop seats on a river cruise at short notice, tracked down my son's lost parcel that was delivered to the the other side of the city and arranged for it to be delivered to us, and helped us when my family were sick and we had checked out. Only thing I can fault is the pool is very cold. Maybe put heating in and hotel will be 11/10.

Stayed 7 nights in a one bedroom suite with my family. We loved the view from our balcony facing the golfcourse and horse track. |Breakfest was lovely. Enjoyed especially that it was for a small amout of people and that you could choose a table from inside or at the terrace. |Location is perfect if you enjoy shopping in the Siam malls. We missed the local street vibes next to the hotel but enjoyed evening runs in Lumphini park. |Then the pool. What a missed opportunity. Since it is all the time in the shade it should definitely be heated. The water was so cold. First time in Thailand that our kids haven’t swam at all! Plus there are mosquitos so you can’t even enjoy the sunbeds. You’ll get sun during morning hours in the second floor in one corner but there are no sunbeds or beanbags only uncomfortable chairs. I would definitely not recommend this hotel for anyone who enjoys to swim. Especially if traveling with kids. |Also I want to warn that there is a demolitons starting next to the hotel and after that a huge constructon work.

An absolutely wonderful 3 week stay. All hotel staff ~ front desk, daily maid service, restaurant staff and hotel management ~ all first rate. Would gladly stay again. Julia the hotel manager is always visible & well liked by visitors & staff. Thanks everyone for a great experience.

We stayed at the hotel twice during our trip to Thailand – once at the beginning and again at the end. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and within walking distance of central areas. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and always ready to help. I would especially like to mention the excellent service I received from the front desk representative, Myo, who was in touch with me before our stay through the hotel app and continued to assist us throughout our visit. He was extremely courteous and helpful. A wonderful team with a genuine willingness to assist. Beyond that, the hotel is clean, smells great, and the rooms are spacious and met all our needs. We’d be happy to return!
