One time we got a storm warning and me and my roommate's first thought was 'I bet there's no line at Dutch Dreams right now'. We could literally see the storm rolling in down St Clair but made a run for it anyway. I am always willing to risk it all for Dutch Dreams. This ice cream is so fucking good

I had the Banana Split and that was very good. A must try as long as you are committed. You get to pick 3 different flavours and the banana was very fresh and tasty. When I went there was a huge line up so expect to wait. I am not sure if there is any proper parking as I rode my bike there.

For those who like to add interesting places to their list of places to visit, and also love having options for new ice cream shops, Dutch Dreams is definitely a place that should be visited. The ice cream shop is located in an old mansion that takes up every corner, and draws attention for being decorated with various items that remind us of childhood and the family's heritage, in addition to being a multicultural space, which carries the flags of different countries around the world. Structure: They have space to sit both inside and outside. They have easily accessible trash cans spread throughout the store, and in both spaces the circulation is calm. Menu: They have a wide variety of ice creams and versions of desserts with ice cream, as well as cones in all shapes. It is worth checking out the menu on the website, or taking a good look at the signs. Access: for those who are using a streetcar, they stop on the avenue and just walk one block. For those who are driving, the ice cream shop does not have its own parking lot, but there are paid parking lots on the street, as well as private parking lots. Tip: if you can visit during the week, it is a great option. On weekends, the store is usually very crowded, impossible to sit down, it takes a long time to order due to the line, and the mess that customers end up leaving on the floor. Pet-friendly: during the spring and summer, it is possible to visit the space with your pet, since the patio area is open.

Dutch Dreams Ice cream store is a one of a kind and original ice cream store that's been around since I was a kid growing in the area and actually born and raised around the area. It is unique and fashionably, and culturally decorated with its Dutch heritage decor. There are quite a variety of flavors, and all seem to be homemade flavors. They ice creams are also hand decorated as well, which definitely puts a unique touch to just a regular ice cream cone on a homemade style cone or even in a cup. The line-ups during the Summer months can be quite long at times as it is a very popular place and spot to get a variety of ice cream flavors plus other dessert treats (I had ice cream as curious about the flavours). I will have to come back to try the other menu items as well. It was very nice to know also that Drake had also visited the ice cream store, which appears to be a few years ago.

If you're looking for an unforgettable ice cream experience, Dutch Dreams is the place! The portions are huge, the flavors are creative, and the toppings are absolutely over the top — in the best way possible. They even make their own fresh waffle cones, and you can really taste the difference — so good! The shop itself feels like a magical little world, full of fun decorations and a great vibe. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome even when it’s super busy. It's definitely a must-visit if you're in Toronto and have a sweet tooth!

Google
Best ice cream and customer service in the city. Owners are very kind. I ordered birthday cake ice cream with a specialty white chocolate dipped cone. I noticed in the middle of my scoop, there was a small piece of peanut. I have no allergies so I am not complaining but it’s something to keep in mind if you do have allergies. 10/10 experience for me, regardless.

We came here this evening with the family. The route is straightforward, and all kinds of transportation come here ; we rode bikes, as did many others. The ice creams here are somewhat more diverse than at Kawartha, but today we tried four flavors: pistachio with bitter almond — which tasted more like bitter almond than pistachio — and also roasted coconut, which was very delicious. For the kids, we got two flavors: strawberry and French vanilla. Well, when it comes to French vanilla, Kawartha is still the top in Canada! They dony have kids size of scope. They also have Sugar cones with a wide variety of flavors and toppings, which are honestly quite unique in Toronto. As for the prices — they’re not exactly cheap!

Well worth the wait. Been visiting since the original location up the street. The cone was done as great as always. Excellent selection of ice cream. Milk shale was delicious. If you live in. Toronto or just visiting this is a must visit. Highly recommend.

Google
I recently visited Dutch Dreams in Toronto, and it was a delightful experience! This ice cream shop is a true gem with a wide variety of delicious flavors. **Pros:** - **Flavor Selection:** The range of unique and traditional flavors is impressive. I loved trying the Dutch licorice and the classic vanilla. - **Generous Portions:** The servings are quite generous, making it great value for money. - **Charming Atmosphere:** The decor is colorful and inviting, creating a fun vibe for families and friends. - **Friendly Staff:** The staff were welcoming and helpful, making recommendations that enhanced my visit. **Cons:** - **Busy at Peak Times:** It can get quite crowded, especially on warm days, so be prepared for a wait. Overall, Dutch Dreams is a must-visit for ice cream lovers in Toronto. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors!

Yelp
If you like ice cream and an over the top experience this is the place to visit. I never knew a place like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Yelp
You have to love this place from the outside. It is colourful, ornate and just kid magnetic. Parking is hit and miss with street options only. It's tiny inside. Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.

Yelp
Came here after a friend recommended about this place. The shop gives a retro vibe to it, and it is quite an old school store. They have a great selection of different flavours cones. They also have a good selection of ice cream flavours too. One thing that surprised me was that they decorates the ice creams with cotton candy, cherry, pineapple chicks, and waffle cone. It was a little surprising and became massive. The service was pretty fast. When they were decorating the ice creams, it requires some time. Overall the flavours were good, but nothing unusual.

Yelp
i think this was in the movie HALF BAKED.... ? Bathurst and st clair (basically) lots of flavours and quick service since mid 80s!

Yelp
Dutch Dreams is a staple ice cream spot that's been in town since the 1980's. My friends have been going here since they were young. They specialize in frozen desserts and imported Dutch candies. We dropped in on a Wednesday evening (around 9:15pm). There was a small queue outside with a short wait of 10 minutes. You order at the entrance and then pay/pick up your dessert at the back window. There's 41 flavours on the menu and you get to add toppings to your order (whipped cream, cotton candy and/or fruit). - Social distance cone ($9.75 for two scoops) - watermelon sherbet and pistachio almond crunch. The watermelon sherbet was refreshing while the pistachio, in radioactive green, was a complete letdown. Tasteless but the bits of almond were okay. - 2x Social distance cone ($8.24 single scoop) - my two friends went with the moose toppings. - Vegan dream ($5.88) - mango soft-serve gelato. Not bad. Not on my return radar. 2.5 stars.

Yelp
Drove by this place many times and was always interested in trying... place looks cool from outside. Food - they have a good extensive menu to choose from with some staple and funky flavours too. Tried the Batta's Cupboard cone (Peanut Butter Brownie and Cookie Dough). It was okay... not bad but imo nothing special. Would have to try out a few more flavours to compare. (3.5/5) Service - I wanted to walk into the store but it was still blocked off and you have to order from the doorstep and wait for your order to come. Ok sometimes but maybe not best on a hot sunny day. Took a little bit to get my cone. (3/5) Atmosphere - place has potential with the covered seating area and characteristic sign. Picnic tables in seating area were dirty and so was the ground around too. (2.5/5) Overall - place has promise but I just didn't find it above average and the area needs to be kept cleaner.

Yelp
Such a cool place located in the St Clair West region of Toronto! These desserts are epic though so come hungry. More ice cream flavors than you can imagine with all the toppings available to you!

J J.

Yelp
The indoor seating area is closed off - just a heads up incase you were expecting to sit! Their cones come to you in a cup - which you'll see in every picture - the reason is that there is only half a waffle cone, eek. It's not a full size cone although you're paying a premium for it. So just be aware! Lots of flavours, good service and kids liked ice cream. I just could the value less justifiable with the realities of the cone....

Yelp
This place basically has a whole bunch of Kawartha Ice Cream with some additional others. They offer lots of ways for you to have your ice cream with waffles or waffle cones or in a cup, and those waffle cones could be dipped with toppings on top. Even if you just order the scoop they put some additional toppings like cotton candy and whipped cream and a cherry which I really appreciated. Parking in the area is limited, there is some picnic bench seating outside and they do take credit card.

Yelp
It's not that hard to like any ice cream shop but I could say the price justifies what you get. I didn't like the cotton candy on the ice cream but the fruits are well fitting! I had the bubble gum and the flavours are not super strong-which i like. The almond cone is crispy and the chocolate cover tastes better than anyone Ive tasted around Toronto. There's a long line up but it wouldn't take you too long to get your orders so, it's okay. Probably you'll wait 7mins at minimum during summer afternoon
google avatar

Yelp
Now I know why no one goes there anymore . Ordered a 1/2litre of ice cream with 1/2rum raisin and 1/2my new addiction was told I could not mix 2flavours so I said I can mix in a cup, correct "Yes!" So what's the difference? my boss said you cannot mix in a litre container so decided to take a cup with 2falvours $7.68. For a tiny 4oz cup

Yelp
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum! I love traditional scoop ice cream. They had SO many flavours that they make in house. (In fact, during Covid they don't have a lot of their fruit flavours b/c they haven't been able to go to the market). I am a kid at heart, and I love getting Birthday Cake, Cotton Candy and Unicorn Poop. My other favourite is Espresso Robust which is similar to Mocha Almond Fudge, which I have a had had a hard time finding for years. Their cone selection is insane. They have every different kind of waffle cone you can imagine, which they make in house of course. I can often smell the waffle cones being made as I walk up St. Clair West from the subway station (or am I just imagining that so that I have an excuse to get ice cream. lol) The store itself not only has ice cream, but some Dutch treats like Stroopwofels. It's decorated it a super kitchy style with a few places to sit along the wall, as well as an outdoor patio. I usually like to take my ice cream to go and work off those calories. lol Due to Covid, the store inside is inaccessible. They have a social distancing lineup outside, and you place your order at a makeshift counter at the door. Then you go and lineup by the patio exit where they give you your ice cream. I have not been back since Phase 2 started, so I'm not sure if the set up has changed, but they have done a great job at ensuring social distancing and sanitation measures. In fact, I typically get one scoop split in half (for 2 flavours), and they weren't allowing that right now which I assume is to avoid cross-contamination. Although there's almost always a line, it moves fast and the service is so friendly. I friggin' love ice cream!

Yelp
My milkshake brings all the.... That song is stuck in my head every time I crave a milkshake. A great spot to satisfy your craving/sweet tooth. I always come here if I want ice cream as they offer an array of flavors, cones, and etc. When the weather is nice there is always a line up... but it is well worth the wait! (Great service and a Vaughan St Staple) I always get the iconic mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone! My go to flavour! Another point I want to add they always give you cotton candy and some fruits on your ice cream which I find very unique and a great way to be different amongst other places.

Yelp
One of the best ice cream in Toronto. I didn't like some of toppings on the ice cream just dabble check it if you are not interested in all kond of toppings.
google avatar

Koji S.

Yelp
When it comes to ice cream I'm afraid I don't have detailed analysis of the flavour and texture to offer - it was good ice cream (as someone with a preference toward dessert that isn't too sweet). Combined with the colourful, whimsical presentation and the carnival decor, Dutch Dreams is a great niche place to get ice cream with friends or on a date.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
I haven't been here in two years. Gosh darn I forgot how good it was. I never had a milkshake there before so I got that. It was served in a pint of ice cream container! It was huge!! And the extra on top = candy floss! My friend had a mango ice cream and all the fruit on his! I have no issues with the prices they charge. With all the extras and the just being there experience is worth it!

Yelp
After getting a good workout playing tennis, my friend and I had some cravings for ice cream so we decided to check out Dutch Dreams nearby. Lineup was surprising long on a late Sunday evening with around 25 people waiting to order. We did move along in a decent pace in the line and the store had many interesting ice cream related art work to keep you entertained while you wait. Also their long list of ice creams kept you busy in figuring out what to order. I wanted an ice cream similar to rocky road and they suggested to get the heavenly hash. It came with cotton candy, a cherry , whip cream and nuts on top of chocolate ice cream mixed with crushed chocolate chips. I did enjoy this ice cream but it wasn't the rocky road I was hoping for. Will be back to try out some of their other flavours.

Yelp
Another classic that has gone south with young, rude, apathetic staff. I've been coming to DD since my childhood when they had the whole corner house as their store. It used to be quality ice cream and cones with FRESH fruit topping and real whipped cream. They've reduced the quality to Tim Hortons, palm oil based whipped cream, canned pineapple and crappy candy and sauce toppings. I came here on a Wednesday and waited 10 mins to order and then another 10 mins to pay. Two separate windows. You can't actually see the ice cream, just read a list; so no visual gauge of what's been sitting around for a while. I ordered pralines and cream in a cone... it was around $10, which IMO was not worth it. I received the ice cream with the cone sitting in a cup... covered in a bunch of shit I didn't ask for. Caramel sauce, skor pieces, cotton candy and the aforementioned fake whipped cream. I'm not 7 years old, so I do not enjoy cotton candy, caramel sauce, candy pieces, and ice cream in one sitting. When I told the cashier I did not ask for all that on my ice cream she took it to the back and brought it back visibly scraped off, still with caramel all over it. I had to insist for them to make me a fresh one and watched the staff be visibly annoyed with me (oh well.) I got my ice cream back, and the scoops now were tiny lol, as if to be spiteful about having to make it twice or something. I walked off with my ice cream and cone cup situation, the ice cream was freezer burnt! And the pecans were squishy. The owners of this place must've changed or they're just cutting corners with toppings and quality cuz literally baskin robbins has better ice cream than DD now! Overpriced, aged out, dishonest and a bunch of other things I could say about this place, don't like that people can't walk up and actually see what they're ordering. That was one of the best parts of getting ice cream as a kid, never saw an ice cream store that operates like that. I also highly doubt they make their flavours in house as there is nothing exclusive about any of their flavours. There is now another store up the street that I'm probably going to check out next time I'm in the area that seemed to have better flavours and homemade cookies on the walk back. One thing is for sure I definitely won't be back to spend another $10 on freezer burned ice cream and cotton candy!
google avatar

Yelp
I finally found the best birthday cake ice cream ever!! That flavor is usually my go-to flavor and this place did not disappoint at all. It reminded me of the Dunkaroos vanilla frosting flavor that I used to love as a kid and this brought me back to the past. After my older review, I brought my friend and brother here to try it and they both enjoyed it a lot. I'd love to go back and order a pint of this goodness to devour at home one day haha!

Pat C.

Yelp
You will be beyter served to go to any grocery store and buy ice cream there. A never was been.
google avatar

Yelp
While the presentation was aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion the taste and flavour at Dutch dreams is significantly lacking for a premium ice cream store. The two flavors I tried were rum & raisin and cherry cheesecake. I got them in an Oreo dipped waffle bowl. It came topped with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry and a piece of cotton candy. Portion size was quite big for one person - I prob should have gotten a single scoop. I really wanted to like the ice cream but unfortunately my honest opinion is that even grocery store ice cream could have given these flavors a run for its money.

Yelp
TL;DR AVOID AT ALL COSTS. OWNERS ARE STINGY, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, RACIST. DO NOT CARE ABOUT ALLERGIES. Go in if you're w h i t e though, they'll treat you like family *looking eyes*. I heard this place was a must see in the Casa Loma Area and weLL I WAS DISAPPOINTED AND OFFENDED. Upon walking in they treated these people who seemed like "people of their own (light in skin with blonde hair and blue eyes)" VERY WELCOMING AND SUPER NICE and even made small talk with them, maybe they're just locals?? But as soon as I walked in they were being very standoffish and talking down to me in a very condescending tone, didn't make any small talk, and when I tried to, they just talked over me to each other (Owner and his wife). How rude. ICECREAM REVIEW (-2/120)* I made sure to tell them ahead of time (I'm not an idiot who forgets what their allergic to) that I'm allergic to strawberries and it's pretty severe where my throat closes up and I just chance upon death from asphyxiation. The OWNER THEO as I'm told he was also the icecream maker who makes all of the icecream so he, in a very demeaning and degrading tone GAURANTEES NO CROSS CONTAMINATION is possible, extremely arrogrant as just HOW COULD I DOUBT HIS PRODUCT QUALITY. Oh but little did he know as I'm on my way to the Rexall down the street right now... ALLERGIC REACTION STORY TIME!!! After trying the first two flavours, they didn't wow me. Can't believe their chocolate mint tasted like water... chocolate like expired dollarama garbage... absolutely flavourless... but that's besides the point. The third flavour was a vanilla, caramel, pretzel flavour where my throat started itching. How is thiS POSSIBLE!! THE OWNER THEO CLAIMS THAT THERE WAS NO CROSS CONTAMINATION!!! The freezer box in which it was in was even SEPARATED from the fruit flavours. DO YOU WASH YOUR SCOOPS MAYBE???? MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE DEDICATED SCOOPS SO SHIT LIKE THIS DOESNT HAPPEN. However because the sample was small I ventured on further at my own game of life and death and after each flavour the itching got more and more intense... I just started running for rexall at this point, and didn't say anything in fear of my life... How could you be so proud to create FLAVOURLESS icecream and be so ignorant to not realise that cross contamination can happen with using the same unwashed scoop... Thank god I didn't buy their small $7 cups of flavourless icecream. They need to change their attitude towards customers and work ethic if they want new customers coming in that aren't the same race to enjoy their shop, what a turn off to such a beautiful day. Just a big fat avoid for the racist 'self-proclaimed' icecream makers.

Yelp
Ditch dreams has been around a long time. Last time I was there was at their old location. Their new location is just as crazy in terms of decor. They have old pictures, giant ice cream statues and more. It seems like a lot of clutter which I suppose others would call character. As a mom I look at it like one of my kids playrooms! I can't believe that everything in that place on the walls isn't collecting dust! Anyway let's get to the ice cream which is why we waiting in line for 30 minutes. They offer a wide selection of flavors and have fresh waffle cups and cones made daily on site. They decorate cones with chocolate, m&ms, s'mores, and more. I appreciate the fact that they make sure the presentation is on point which means every order gets whip cream, a few prices of fruit, and a waffle cookie but I just found the system inefficient which is probably why we waited 30 minutes. I had to order 4 ice creams and after each scoop the guy went to decorate it then start the next. To me it would make sense to get all 4 scoops of ice cream then decorate them all together. The ice cream itself was great. It's definitely quality ice cream. I'm not a big fan of the location so I wouldn't frequent this place. If this were located at yonge and eglinton it would have s line up down the street! They haven't expanded for however long they have been open which is probably over 20 years so I guess a second location is just wishful thinking. In summary I loved the ice cream so check them out but try to go on slow times because for me no ice cream is worth an extended wait.

Yelp
A must try creamery!!! this restaurant was in a corner street and you wouldn't miss it due to its eclectic decor inside and out! Street parking, accepts CC for payment. A Gentleman behind the counter greeted is with the biggest welcoming smile! I tried a few flavors and ended up picking praline on macadamia nut waffle. Ice cream itself is not too sweet, very creamy and simply delicious

Yelp
This place has good ice cream and very cute. The decor inside and out is very eye catching and sort of gives an Alice in Wonderland kind of feel. There are a few problems though. They leave their front door and back door open at all times. Rain, shine, chilly they leave it open. When i went in it was pretty cold and they sell ice cream... which made us even more cold. The inside floors always felt sticky, the shoes stuck to the floor. The ice cream cones were stacked so high you can't see anyone behind the counter. There is also no sign as to where the cashier is or where the line starts. I could not even find the cashier to pay for my ice cream. The woman behind the counter was very nice she let us try a few different flavors and they were all delicious. The cone selection is very large and she gave us a few recommendations on which were the best. The ice cream flavors were all really good and was hard to pick just one. The presentation of the cone was also really cute. I would go back but on a warmer day, they just need to manage the place a bit better and it would be a full five stars.

Yelp
Fun and delicious ice cream for my whole family of 5. Expect some interesting but delicious surprises especially if its your first time like us trying this place on a whim. Overall, will be taking the kids back again!

Yelp
Dutch Dreams is the quickest ice cream parlour that I've ever seen. To be honest, I love coming here more for their waffle cones than ice cream because they are decorated so pretty with various toppings that elevate your ice cream experience. A large scoop is huge so I always get a kiddie scoop which is still quite a generous serving. Dutch Dreams goes above and beyond by topping your ice cream with whipped cream, fruit and cotton candy... COTTON CANDY PEOPLE!! There is an option to sit inside and to take in all of the Dutch decorations or sit outside (in the warm months) with lots of bench space and selfie ops with the two huge ice cream standups. I can't wait for my next ice cream run!
google avatar

Yelp
I got their milkshakes, it was amazing! It was 8 dollars but it was the size of my face if not bigger with cotton candy on top! There are a variety of flavours 10/10

Janny L.

Yelp
I've been to their old location twice, and this was my first time at their new location. I like how its kept some of its eccentric personality worth more spacious seating. We came on a weekday, and there was barely a wait. We wanted to try something new and ordered the banana split with grapenut, Drake's peanut butter, and Dutch chocolate ($10 with tax included) . They added some fresh fruit, as well as cotton candy. It was definitely a picture moment for instagram. We didn't expect the Drake peanut butter to come in a chunks though, and the grapenut tasted very unique. The hardest part about coming here is making a decision on what you want, and how you want it! From dreamsicle to pop rock, theres loads of waffle cones to choose from. A plus it's that they have imported Dutch goods, such as stroopwafel, except you're legit paying an arm and a leg for it.

Yelp
What a great little joint to go to on a very hot day. Didn't know what to choose as it could be a bit overwhelming with ALL THOSE CHOICES! Tons of waffle cones to choose from and ice cream tastes great. It's very very messy to eat and you will probably get full if you get the two scoop like I did. Should've gotten only 1 scoop but oh well! Love the decor in this place but very small and definitely not stroller friendly. We sat on the patio and enjoyed our dessert quite a lot. The fruit and cotton candy come on top already so you don't need to ask for it. Will come again.

Yelp
Literally felt like a kid in a candy store at Dutch Dreams, surrounded by an eclectic array of decorations, and a huge variety of ice cream flavors and cones to choose from. The flavours likely rotate, but on the day I visited some noteable or unique flavours being offered included pumpkin, s'mores and espresso. They also have an extensive line-up of sugar cones and waffle cones, some dipped in chocolate and further covered in candy or cookies. The menuboard was a bit overwhelming to read, with so many different options and prices points. I'm also not sure if every combination had a price listed, though you can always ask. Eventually I chose to have a single scoop of ice cream on a dipped sugar cone and it came up to $6.01. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a free topping, a choice of cotton candy, chocolate drizzle or a piece of fruit to jazz things up. The server was very patient, and somehow knew that my clumsy self would need an extra cup/bowl so my ice cream would not fall. Much appreciated, and made it so much easier to enjoy my ice cream!

Yelp
I wish I got a picture of my cone. Lovely joint I can remember this place from back when it was on the corner of Vaughn and stclair... still has its charm even though it's now socially distanced.. great flavour selection and friendly staff

Yelp
I first went to Dutch Dream back in 2009 when they were located at 78 Vaughan rd. I used to love it. I kept going every now and than. Let me tell you they had better days. I went recently and it has change. Definitely the quality has change, and customer service sucks. Is not the same and not worth it.

Yelp
Decided to go here on a Sunday night during Caribana weekend. We went around 10 pm and there was a line up outside but it moved quickly. Once you walk in, you have a ton of options from the type of cones to the toppings and ice cream flavours itself. I chose to get a regular cone with pralines ice cream. Pretty simple but they add fruits and cotton candy on top, which is something I've never seen before but I found it cool. It tasted so good and the extra toppings just made it even sweeter. Everyone I was with got different flavours and enjoyed them also. The location is just off a main street and while the inside isn't big, they have a patio on the side if you want to eat there. Overall, this is one of my favourite ice cream spots and I'll be back for more.

Yelp
This place was so fun. There were toys and cones everywhere! It was so colorful and smelled amazing (obviously). I wasnt sure how to order because everyone had such an extravagant looking cone when they left. Little did I know, every ice cream came with cotton candy, fruits, cookies, etc! Can't wait to go back next time I am in Toronto!

Yelp
Although I am slightly impartial since I grew up on this street, this place is objectively one of the best ice cream places in Toronto. Its got an interesting aesthetic on the interior and exterior, colorfully decorated. I usually get the chocolate and peanut butter cup which is topped with whipped cream, berries and some cotton candy. I would recommend coming here to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Been going here for years they've got some great flavours with lots of options for cones and toppings. Maybe because the ice cream is home made it's fresher, but it's some of the best ice cream you'll ever have. Just make sure you get lots of napkins they really pack the cones full. Around $10 each full cone don't forget the toppings! The turtles chocolate and cookie dough are my favourite on a skor cone.

Yelp
I had been craving a banana split, and after doing a Yelp search for the area I was in, I learned that Dutch Dreams was only a 20 minute walk away! When we got there, there were about 6 people ahead of me, and I found it difficult to read the menu, and look at the ice cream options. It really is crowded, and all their trinkets get in the way of seeing the menu! Once it was my turn, I asked for a banana split, and provided the person serving me with my three ice cream options. I was surprised when he disappeared and I did not see him again until after he had put together the banana split. I thought you would be asked what toppings you wanted on it?! Lucky for them, I wanted it all, so when I saw that my banana split had pretty much everything that could possibly go on a banana split (fruit, whipped cream, cotton candy, chocolate...) I was happy. The total with tax was just under $10. Pretty pricey, but not bad considering the quality of the ice cream and the toppings you get on it. I would definitely come back! Though I wish their menu was more prominent!

Yelp
My favourite icecream parlor in Toronto. Everything is so magical and it's not too much like sweet j****.... man their icecream was way to sugary. Dutch dream has so many flavors and people are very polite. I live their Dutch chocolate, pistachio, blue bubble gum, and their collection of sorbets if I don't feel like eating icecream.

Yelp
I love coming here on hot summer days. They have lots of different waffle cones you can get. They always put cotton candy and fruits in your ice cream. I got the Chocolate chip ice cream and a pink chocolate dip waffle cones with white chocolates on it. Overall it's a good experience and service is very fast when I come.

Yelp
A quirky lil place in midtown. The place is covered wall-to-wall with decors and they sell other things besides ice cream also. Tons of cones to choose from that have been decorated with either dips or toppings or both. Unlimited ice cream samples. I ended up with the coconut and espresso flavours which paired so well woth each other. They also include 3 free toppings which are: whipped cream, fresh fruits, and cotton candy! Such a cute little place to chill and be a kid again

Yelp
We drove by to dinner and thought it would be a nice place to stop off for a treat on our way home. This place has potential but it also has a lot of shortcomings as well. I appreciate that they offer real fruit and so many flavors of ice cream...and how can one not LOVE the cotton candy topping. The ice cream was good...not great and certainly not a $7 cone great. This place is tiny therefore there is very limited seating...which probably is not an issue during the summer however is was a chilly, rainy May evening and people were packed inside. The line was confusing and the set up could be set up better in order to make it more efficient for the workers and customers. This made the service lack greatly. Now I understand that this is an ice cream shop but I expect a shop to keep their floors a bit cleaner (melted ice cream and toppings were everywhere). I don't want to walk out of the shop with my shoes sticking to the floor! Am i glad I tried a neighbourhood ice cream shop...yes. Will I be back..no. If they can't handle what was thrown to them on a rainy May Sunday night I would hate to see the issues that they would have mid-day on a July Saturday afternoon.

Yelp
Visited this place after seeing all the lovely pictures on Instagram. But I feel like this place is overhyped. They have a bunch of dipped cones that you can choose from. They also offer a variety of ice cream flavours but I find them not that special there was nothing that was extremely delicious. It's like the average sweet ice cream. They were extremely sweet. The presentation was nice though. They top the ice cream with whipped cream and fruits. Good for pictures. I also bought a bag of cotton candy. It was green and orange. The flavour was extremely disappointing. It tasted like dish soap...

Yelp
I love the fact that Dutch Dream remains open throughout the winter months. amazing ice cream plus the owners are nice with their customers which is why I continue to buy from them decades after decades!

Yelp
A quirky shop, with great products, and a whole lotta choices. Dutch Dream does not disappoint when it comes to their colossal ice cream. Sure, some might find their eccentric and hoarder-esque floor-to-ceiling decor overwhelming (), but what matters most is their product and service, and in both those areas, they deliver! Even better, they'll turn your cone into an Instagrammer's dream by adding toppings at no extra cost. Toppings include fruits, whipped cream, and cotton candy. While you can opt-out of the toppings, they're a nice touch, and give Dutch Dreams their own signature. Also, I recommend getting your ice cream in a cup or simple cone instead of a dipped cone, as they're really sweet and kinda hard to finish. They also sells sundaes, milkshakes, and waffles. Top Flavours: Espresso, Coconut, Maple Walnut, and Wildberry Cheesecake

Yelp
Thanks to follow Yelpers I added this to my Toronto must do list. Anytime I come to the area I will make it a priority to stop by, after 10 pm. I stopped by really late on a Sunday night and I must say it made my experience that much more enjoyable. No issues parking, no lines and plenty of time to wonder around. While the employees were cleaning up for the night, they were still eager to assist with a smile! I loved the cotton candy cone and the cotton candy ice cream, not so much the bubble gum ice cream though. My hubby got the birthday cake and we both devoured our cones. I like that they offer half scoops and the number of concoctions you can come up with is unreal. I can't wait to come back during my next trip.

Yelp
I have been visiting this place for many years! I don't know why it took me so long to make this review? The quality and taste has not changed. I love sweets and this place know how to do it right, with family traditions that immigrated from The Netherlands how can you go wrong. My favorite is the crepe or the banana split, it comes with everything. Ice cream, fresh fruit, whipped cream, a crepe, chocolate and/or strawberry sauce, and walnuts. The banana split is almost the same only with a banana, my favorite fruit to mix with ice cream! Then there is the staff, this is a family owned place so all the family work here. I have seen the owners kids grow up to become adults, and now work as servers here. the service is quick just remember that there is usually a line to get served. The wait is well worth it. I love visiting this place as it is my absolute favorite ice cream place! I recommend it highly.

Yelp
THE BEST Willing to come every weekend if I could afford the calories!!! Many types of cones to pick from (large and small). Plus other choices (cups, waffle cups, sundaes) We had 2 small cones of peanut and almond as well as a scoop of their most popular (had to ask them... forgot the name) as well as the wild berry cheesecake. The small cones look very small and would think you would be wanting more after, but don't be fooled.... they are VERY GENEROUS in their scoops. They also put fresh fruits and a mini waffle chip to finish it off! Considering the price ($13~) for the amount you get, it's %100 affordable! Will be back soon :)
