On the Grid : Pinball Machine

"This is a strange but significant story. This giant pinball machine can be seen at the quay of the Wilhelminaplein. If you climb the white staircase you get a good overview of it. Imaging the white staircase leading up the ball, if you would shoot it, it bumps back against the triangular yellow cabin. There you will find five silver disc shaped things where the ball can bounce through. Nobody knows exactly who created this pinball machine, and that’s what makes it particularly interesting." - Rodesk

When someone travels from Kansas in the US to Rotterdam solely to visit a place. You know that place is special. And that is critically understating the amazing place that is the Dutch Pinball Museum. As a collector, I loved visiting a place that I can learn about the history of pinball and play some exceedingly rare games. Everything was very well curated and maintained. Thanks to Gerard for being the best host!

A little piece of pinball heaven on earth <3 worth every penny. They also have cafeteria inside. But remember! No drinks allowed upstairs which is perfectly reasonable because they keep those pinball in top notch condition. No one wants to spill anything on those beauties. The Staff is extremely friendly and always available for quick chat and They will help You with everything. They have some rarities like WCS94 rethemed to Kill Bill, 60th anniversary James Bond, music pinballs like Iron Maiden, GnR, Metallica and some really cool and unique stuff. They also have themed floors and a lot of looks like movie accessories. If I could i would move there. 11/10

Fantastic collection ofachines, went on a Saturday and hour after opening and stayed until.osong with a day ticket for 30 euros. About 7 hours of playing all the classics like Attack from Mars, The Twilight Zone, to 2025 releases like Godzilla and Alice in Wonderland. Has pinball machines on display from the 1920's and a French 1890's pin game. Licensed and selling coffee and beer in the centre of the city.

Lots of pinball machines that can be played! You can either buy a day pass for €30 or a two-hour slot for €16. The machines are very well maintained and you can see which year they are from. 100% recommend for pinball machine fans, also for the casual pinball machine player.

Best pinball museum I've been to. Floors and floors of tables grouped together in themes. An entire day ticket wasn't really enough to do it justice, they've got about 100 well maintained tables including some real rarities. If I can swing another trip to the Netherlands, I'll definitely come back here.

Our second visit to the museum whilst on a cruise. The two hour session ticket sounds awkward but actually ensures the museum doesn’t get over busy while you’re enjoying the machines. The museum has a small history section with examples from all ages and upstairs actually has a section about the technology and how the machines actually work. There is a massive and ever changing range of machines to play on once you’re in and they are all included in the entrance fee. A small cafe is also available downstairs and provides drinks and snacks / cake for your weary flipper fingers! The museum is set in a beautiful little haven and is very picturesque with several good pubs and eateries within a couple of minutes walk!

Even if don’t like Pinball, you have to visit this museum. You gonna fall in love and have a lot of fun. The interior is super cool, definitely check that out.

A unique place! Great respect to the people who run it and work there to keep this place and all of the machines in a perfect condition. The pinball magic is definitely there :-) It is a pure pleasure to visit this place, the collection, both, historical and modern, is magnificent! Drinks and snacks corner completes the charm of the place.
