Dutchess Hotel and Restaurant

Great hotel with a nice location to visit the area of Fort Portal and do the chimps tracking in Kibale Forest. Rooms are clean and big, the restaurant offers different types of food and the staff is welcoming.

I loved my stay here. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, the wifi worked well, the staff were lovely, the food was really nice (we even tried crocodile ribs!), and I loved their little shop (got a skirt and was really tempted by their colourful bags). Lastly, the terrace on the back of the hotel was super nice to have breakfast in. I would recommend 100% and hope to return soon

I only had breakfast and dinner here. Both times the service was very slow — staff didn’t seem to keep an eye on the tables. The second time, when I asked for the bill, I had to go and look for someone. It still took a long time to arrive, so I eventually stood up to leave. Only then did someone ask if everything was fine. I explained that I’d been waiting for the bill, and suddenly it arrived within two minutes. Overall poor service, and pizza had nice toppings but was undercooked.

Quiet place near the center of Fort Portal. Safe and cool, that's the place to meet other fellow travelers in the area. They have a very good restaurant, which servs the best pizzas. It is my second visit and will for sure come again the next time i'm in the area.

Great pizzas! Wide variety menu. Did wait a long time for pizzas but they were busy. Other days much shorter wait and great food! Chocolate cake is tasty too. Can pay by card here

I had a good stay at Duchess Hotel in Fort Portal. The beds were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well-designed, with the shower and toilet separated, which was convenient. The pizza was excellent, well-made and tasty. The hotel has a good location and provides reliable service. I would stay here again.

Variety of food in such area I didn't expect it oops! I enjoyed the place quite and good service

Surprised to find the local dishes like Kalo and Ferinda. Very happy staff over there
