Lovely big park with multiple playgrounds, toilets (public is 20p or inside Winter Gardens: free). Cafe next to Winter Gardens. Variety of garden features laid out with plaques explaining history. Free parking at either end. Lots of dog walkers!

What an amazing park 😍 I was up for the kiltwalk but spent the afternoon before it in awe at the winter garden. How beautiful it is . We are mature ladies but spoke to spike for ages , how the children reacted was lovely x. The food and staff were great as well. Go and visit, you won't be disappointed

A lovely park, with an extensive greenhouse full of different plants from all over the world. Entry is free, and it’s remarkably well managed and maintained, it’s especially impressive how they manage to contain the different levels of humidity in each section. There’s a giant frog thing which has been there for decades, and although it’s aged a bit, it still goes up and down.

We had a family trip to the winter gardens at Duthie park, it was beautiful. Lovely setting, absolutely stunning array of plants and flowers. The arrid area was my favourite, the cacti were spectacular, and enjoyed my wee chat with the talking cactus 😂 Definitely would recommend a visit, had a stroll around the park afterwards, but only briefly as there was an event on, but it was a beautiful day at the park

This park received high recommendations when I asked people what I should see in Aberdeen, so I suppose I was expecting a little more. From the centre of town, I had to walk for about a half hour through rather labyrinthian and convoluted routes to reach the park. The sun shone freely and joyously on the damp grass, and I appreciated the towering and majestic columns and monuments, but I suppose I was expecting something more unique than simply a large swath of pleasant green space. I did not have the time to examine the botanical gardens, which I hear are lovely and exuberant, but what I saw were large groups of very energetic and happy kids racing through the park, playing together on a pleasant sunny day in February. Though I did not dislike the park, and I understand why it was busy on a sunny Sunday afternoon, I did not think it was worth walking that far to reach. It appears to be a lovely place for families, and I am sure that I would visit this park frequently if I lived close to it, but it was not the compelling tourist attraction I thought it would be.

Stunning hidden gem with the Winter Gardens at the park. Overall a fantastic place to visit but really really worth going inside the glass houses. We saw some fantastic flours and plants along with just a nice and tranquil place to explore. Very kid friendly and free entry.

One of the most beautiful places you must visit in Aberdeen, there’re so many varieties of plants (Tropical, Cactus, Scented, Japanese and many more). There’s a large playground you can visit with your dogs 🐶. You can have a coffee in their cafe. This is really nice view in the summer as there will be more flower varieties. There are 2 entrances from river dee side, better to go for the second one which have more parking spaces.

Yelp
Mother's day and a bit dreich. the Family had booked a 1pm "afternoon tea" at the Duthie Park Cafe. An excellent spread with helpful staff. and in the overflow, so plenty of elbow room - though we did need to keep our coats on - no problem. We have had lunches there before, & been well served. The Winter Garden is a Jewel for the city with a lovely display all year round. At Hogmanay, we met a French journalist, doing tourist info, who specially liked it. The kids (2& 5) liked the whole experience and especially the talking cactus, and stamping the special medal for £1.01ea. The whole afternoon - good value. We left a generous donation as we had spent a lovely afternoon and have some cakes home with us for tomorrow. PS The cream for the excellent scones was proper whipped cream!

Yelp
Ahh, sunny days in Aberdeen at Duthie Park. One of the best things about living in Scotland was how much people appreciated the sun. It's out less, so when it is people go crazy. Shirts off (even though it's still pretty chilly), picnics, dog walks, everyone shows up in Duthie Park for an ice cream. Glorious. Some seriously fond memories of Sunday afternoons spent with friends in Duthie Park. There's a huge amount of nicely trimmed grass for sitting or kicking a football around or throwing a frisbee. There's great paved paths for walking your dog or letting your kid ride their bike. There's also multiple play areas for children and some of them are really awesome. Notably the playground with a zip line (how fancy!--disclosure: I would wait around and try to get a go when kids weren't on it) and a roundabout (you never see those in playgrounds anymore!) and some pretty tall slides. There is a greenhouse garden full of exotic plants and loads of cacti that you can check out for free, which is a fun activity on a colder day. And there is an ice cream shop in that same area, which is of course great for those cherished warm, sunny summer days in Scotland. Overall Duthie Park is a very well-rounded area, with plenty of green space and a great place to spend some time with the whole family. I love going back when I'm back visiting Aberdeen.
